Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a seating furniture chassis according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Seating furniture chassis are known from the prior art. They are used, for example, for chairs or armchairs. Upholstery is attached to the seating furniture chassis, on which a user can sit. Seating furniture chassis with a pivoting backrest frame and a translationally movable seat frame are known. Seating furniture chassis are also known in which the movements of the backrest frame and the seat frame are coupled. An example of such a seating furniture chassis is known from US2015 / 035322A1.

[0003] In contrast, the present invention is based on the object of creating a particularly compact seating furniture chassis in which a drive means is used to adjust the backrest frame and the seat frame. Furthermore, a piece of seating furniture with such a seating furniture chassis is to be created.

[0004] This object is achieved by a seating furniture chassis according to claim 1 and by a seating furniture according to claim 14. Embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

[0005] The seating furniture chassis comprises a seat frame, a backrest frame, two armrests, and a drive means. In this description, the term seat frame is understood to mean, in particular, a frame to which upholstery can be attached, which can be used by a user as a seat. In this description, the term backrest frame is understood to mean, in particular, a frame to which upholstery can be attached, which can be used as a backrest by a user sitting on the seat. In this description, the term armrests is understood to mean, in particular, a structure to which upholstery can be attached, which can be used as an armrest by a user sitting on the seat.

[0006] The backrest frame can be pivoted about a virtual pivot axis. In this description, a virtual pivot axis refers specifically to a geometric axis that is not a component but merely serves to define the pivoting movement. The pivot axis is defined by two pivot points. The backrest frame is attached to the armrests at the pivot points.

[0007] The drive means is connected to the backrest frame via a translation means. The drive means can be, for example, an electric motor. The drive means is designed to trigger a translation of the translation means. The translation is converted into a pivoting movement of the backrest frame about the pivot axis. The backrest frame is connected to the seat frame below the pivot points, so that the seat frame is moved translationally during the pivoting movement. In the context of this description, the term "below" is understood in particular to mean the direction that is downwards during the intended use of the seating frame. For example, a foot of the seating frame can also be arranged below the seat frame, which is positioned on the floor during the intended use of the seating frame.

[0008] The drive means is arranged beneath a first lateral edge region of the seat frame. This arrangement is particularly space-saving, allowing the seating furniture chassis to be designed in a particularly space-saving manner. In the context of this description, a lateral edge region is understood to mean, in particular, an edge region facing the armrests. The lateral edge regions can adjoin lateral struts of the seat frame. The lateral struts extend from the rear to the front. In the seating furniture chassis, the rear can, in particular, be the end of the seat frame facing the backrest frame. In this case, the front is the end of the seat frame opposite the rear end.

[0009] According to the invention, the seat frame is connected to the lower end of the backrest frame.

[0010] According to one embodiment of the invention, the seating furniture chassis can comprise guide means and guide elements. The guide means can be arranged below the armrests. The seat frame can be guided in the guide means during translational movement with the guide elements. This type of guide is particularly compact.

[0011] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guide means can have a curve. This allows the height of the seating furniture chassis to be automatically adjusted when the backrest is pivoted.

[0012] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guide elements can be arranged next to the front area of the seat frame. In this description, the front area refers in particular to the front half of the seat frame.

[0013] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guide means can be curved upwards and forwards. This ensures that, when the upper part of the backrest frame pivots backwards, the seat frame is moved upwards and forwards. This is often perceived as particularly comfortable.

[0014] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guide elements can be roller-shaped. In the context of this description, this is understood in particular to mean that the guide elements roll on the guide means.

[0015] According to one embodiment of the invention, the translation means can be attached to the backrest frame at the lower end of the backrest frame. This allows for a particularly large deflection of the backrest frame. This is particularly advantageous if the drive means is attached to the seat frame, for example, and moves with the seat frame during a translational movement.

[0016] According to one embodiment of the invention, the seat frame can be attached to the backrest frame between the translation means and the pivot points. This is particularly advantageous if, for example, the drive means is attached to the seat frame and moves with it during a translational movement of the seat frame.

[0017] According to one embodiment of the invention, the translation means can be designed as a threaded rod.

[0018] According to one embodiment of the invention, the pivot points can be arranged on the pivot axis.

[0019] According to one embodiment of the invention, the drive means can be arranged under a rear region of the seat frame.

[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, the drive means can be connected to a mount arranged beneath the seat frame. The mount can be rigidly connected to the seat frame. In the context of this description, this is understood in particular to mean that the mount moves translationally in the same manner as the seat frame is translated.

[0021] According to one embodiment of the invention, the seating furniture chassis may comprise a further drive means arranged below a second lateral edge region arranged opposite the first edge region.

[0022] Further features and advantages of the present invention will become clear from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. The same reference numerals are used for identical or similar components and for components with identical or similar functions. In the drawings: Fig. 1 a schematic perspective view of a seating furniture chassis according to an embodiment of the invention in a first position; Fig. 2 a section of Fig. 1 , which is designated R; Fig. 3 a schematic perspective view of the seating furniture chassis from Fig. 1 in a second position; Fig. 4 a section of Fig. 3 , which is designated R; and Fig. 5 a schematic perspective view of the seating furniture chassis from Fig. 1 .

[0023] The seating furniture chassis 100 comprises a seat frame 101, a backrest frame 102, and two armrests 103. The armrests 103 are attached to the backrest frame 102 at fastening points 104. According to the invention, the seat frame 101 is connected to the lower end of the backrest frame 102. When the backrest frame 102 is pivoted, the two fastening points 104 define the geometric pivot axis.

[0024] In each of the two lateral regions below the seat frame 101, a drive means 200 is arranged, which is connected to the backrest frame 102 via a translation means 201, for example, a threaded rod. The drive means 200 is designed to trigger a translation of the translation means 201. A translation of the translation means 201 is converted into a pivoting movement of the backrest frame 102 due to the connection to the backrest frame 102.

[0025] When the backrest frame 102 pivots, the seat frame 101 is moved translationally. When the upper portion of the backrest frame 102 pivots backward, the seat frame 101 is moved forward. When the upper portion of the backrest frame 102 pivots forward, the seat frame 101 is moved backward.

[0026] During movement, the seat frame 101 is guided by guide elements 106 guided in guide means 105. The guide means 105 are curved and arranged below the armrests 103. The guide means 105 are attached directly to the armrests 103. The guide elements 106 are arranged on the outside of the seat frame 101. Due to the guidance of the guide elements 106 in the guide means 105, the seat frame 102 is raised during a forward movement and lowered during a backward movement.

[0027] The arrangement of the drive means 200 in the lateral edge areas directly below the seat frame 101 is advantageous because it is particularly space-saving. It requires very little installation space. Thus, there is a particularly large amount of space below the seat frame 101, and the drive means 200 are concealed during normal operation or can only be seen by a user with effort, so that they do not impair the aesthetic appearance of the seating furniture, or only insignificantly.
