Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates generally to the lining of walls for insulation or aesthetic purposes. It relates more particularly to a spacer accessory placed transversely between the wall to be lined and a lining partition to keep the latter at a distance from the wall to be lined. TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND
[0002] The lining of a wall, ceiling or roof of a building is frequently carried out, in renovation or new construction, to obtain or improve the acoustic or thermal insulation of the building or a specific room. For this purpose, a lining partition (counter-partition or false ceiling) is attached to a lining frame which is itself fixed to structural elements of the wall to be lined, at a given distance from it. A thermal and / or acoustic insulation lining (often called an insulation complex) is inserted between the wall to be lined and the lining partition.
[0003] The insulation lining typically includes, on the one hand, one or more layers of fibrous insulating material such as mineral wool and, on the other hand, at least one wind or vapor barrier membrane. This membrane is most often inserted between the layer of fibrous material and the lining partition, typically attached to the partition, possibly inserted between two layers of fibrous material.
[0004] The fastening of the lining frame to the structural elements of the wall to be lined is carried out by means of regularly spaced bracing accessories. Each bracing accessory comprises a main body in the form of a rod extending transversely to the wall to be lined and to the lining partition, one end of which is provided with means for its cantilevered fastening to a structural element of the wall to be lined and the other end of which is provided with means for its assembly with the lining frame. Such a bracing accessory is for example known from document WO2006 / 061538.
[0005] Document EP3112547A1 discloses a spacer device comprising a fixing portion and an end passing through a membrane fixed by a holding part.
[0006] Document EP2781668A2 discloses a spacing device comprising a fixing portion and a fixing end of a membrane sandwiched between two snap-fit jaws.
[0007] During installation, the insulation packing, then the membrane, is generally skewered onto the rods of the spacer accessories, which causes multiple piercing of the layers of fibrous material and, where applicable, of the membrane. This piercing is particularly detrimental to membranes, as their permanent or selective sealing function is then impaired. The piercing of the membrane can also constitute the beginning of a tear likely to propagate if tension is exerted on the membrane.
[0008] To partially avoid this problem, it is known to place the membrane on the inside of the lining frame, between the latter and the lining partition. The membrane is thus not crossed by the spacer accessory and can thus remain intact, at least initially.
[0009] This solution is, however, only partial. Fixing the lining partition to the lining frame involves piercing the membrane with the fixing elements (staples, screws, nails, etc.), which harms, although to a lesser extent, the waterproofing of the membrane.
[0010] The positioning of the membrane in front of the lining frame raises another technical problem: it leaves no interstitial space between the membrane and the lining wall. However, it is often necessary to insert, behind the lining wall, various cables or pipes, particularly for water, ventilation, electricity or communication networks. It is then difficult to envisage placing the cables and wiring accessories between the membrane and the lining wall. The cables could only be properly secured using openings in the membrane. The membrane would also risk being damaged or stretched by the cables or sheathing, fixing or connection accessories.
[0011] These cables can certainly be laid behind the membrane. However, it is then no longer possible to access them for maintenance or upgrades to the cabling installation without removing the membrane or making an opening. In addition, cabling operations may, for logistical reasons or due to changing needs or technologies, take place after the wall has been lined, which also requires the membrane to be removed or opened by operators who are generally not specialized in wall lining and insulation. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0012] An aim of the present invention is to provide a technical solution allowing the installation of a membrane without breaking its integrity and its sealing performance.
[0013] To this end, the invention proposes a spacing device for fixing a lining frame to a structure to be lined, said device comprising a main portion extending in a so-called axial direction, one end of which is provided with a plate for fixing to the structure to be lined and the other end of which is provided with a part for holding a membrane, said membrane holding part comprises a first jaw and a second jaw, said jaws being coupled by coupling means, characterized in that said coupling means comprise sliding means allowing the second jaw to slide in the first jaw to hold said membrane between the two jaws.
[0014] One of the advantages of the present invention and of the sliding of the second jaw in the first jaw is to simplify the coupling of the two jaws. Indeed, the sliding according to the invention does not require deformation of one of the jaws relative to the other in order to be able to take place. Thus, it is entirely possible for the first jaw and / or the second jaw to be made of a material having low elastic deformation or without elastic deformation.
[0015] According to one example, the sliding means comprise at least one groove arranged on the first jaw and at least one protruding line arranged on the second jaw for inserting into said groove.
[0016] According to one example, the sliding means comprise at least one protruding line arranged on the first jaw and at least one groove arranged on the second jaw into which said protruding line is inserted.
[0017] In one example, the protruding line or groove of the second jaw is straight.
[0018] In one example, the salient line or groove of the first jaw is straight or peripheral.
[0019] In one example, the first jaw includes a top surface, a surface, and a side wall used to carry the protruding line or groove, and wherein the second jaw includes a base from which two protruding portions extend, the protruding portions each including an outer face and an inner face, the inner faces of the protruding portions being parallel and each carrying a groove or protruding line.
[0020] According to one example, the first jaw comprises two half-jaws arranged and assembly means for enabling the two half-jaws to assemble to form said first jaw.
[0021] In one example, each arranged half-jaw includes a notch, the half-jaws being such that the notches cooperate to form a housing into which the main portion fits.
[0022] The invention further relates to a device for lining a wall, comprising at least one spacing device according to the invention, at least one insulating membrane (M) wind barrier, vapor barrier or vapor retarder to be attached to the spacing accessories (10), characterized in that said membrane is pinched between the first jaw and the second jaw of the spacer device.
[0023] The invention also relates to a method for holding a membrane on a spacer device, said method comprising the following steps: provide a spacer device, according to the invention, fixed to a wall, said device comprising a main portion extending in a so-called axial direction, one end of which is a first jaw of the membrane holding part; provide an insulator; provide a wind barrier, vapor barrier or vapor retarder membrane; place said membrane on the upper face of the first jaw; provide the second jaw and place it next to the first jaw, the groove and the projecting line being aligned; move the second jaw to allow the projecting line to be inserted into the groove, said membrane being interposed between the projecting line and the groove.
[0024] Furthermore, the invention relates to a method of installing a wall lining device, said method comprising the following steps: provide at least one spacing device according to the invention; fix said spacing device to the wall to be lined via its fixing plate; provide an insulator and put it in place; hold a membrane to the spacing device using the method for holding a membrane according to the invention.
[0025] According to one example, the installation method comprises, after fixing said spacer device to the wall and before holding a membrane to the spacer device, a step of decoupling the second jaw from the first jaw.
[0026] According to one example, the installation method comprises, after fixing said spacer device to the wall and before holding a membrane to the spacer device, a step consisting of providing two half-jaws forming the first jaw and assembling them around the main portion. DESCRIPTION OF FIGURES

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0028] In the example illustrated by the figure 1 , it is more specifically a question of insulating the attic of a building and, to this end, of doubling an exterior wall 1 and a roof 2 of this building.
[0029] The roof 2 here comprises, classically, a wooden frame made up of purlins 3 carrying rafters 4 on which roofing elements 5 rest.
[0030] A lining device, in accordance with the invention, is attached to the roof frame and to the exterior wall. This lining device comprises a lining frame, composed on the one hand of horizontal slats 6 for lining the roof and on the other hand of vertical slats 7 for lining the wall 1. These slats are commonly called furring strips in the case of walls or rafters / or beams in the case of a roof.
[0031] The lining slats 6 and 7 are respectively fixed to structural elements of the roof 2 and the wall 1 to be lined by means of a plurality of bracing accessories 10.
[0032] Each spacer accessory 10, visible at Figures 2a And 2b, comprises a central portion 11, extending along an axis X1, appearing, in a first embodiment, in the form of a rod 12 provided with means for its attachment 14 to a wall which may be a roof 2 or a wall 1 and the other end of which, called the front end, is provided with a connecting piece provided with means for its assembly 30 with the batten 6, 7, the support of which is ensured by the accessory. During assembly, the rod 12 is arranged to extend in a direction substantially perpendicular to the wall 1. In the case of a roof, the rod 12 is arranged to extend in a direction substantially vertical relative to the ground in order to make a false ceiling horizontal relative to the ground. Panels of insulating materials are arranged between the roof 2 or the wall 1 and the battens 6, 7 used to carry a lining wall.
[0033] The bracing accessories 10 which are used for lining the roof are fixed to the rafters 4. For this purpose, they each comprise, as fixing means 14, a longitudinal fixing plate or base 141 screwed onto the side of the rafter 4 concerned. The bracing accessories 10 which are fixed to the wall 1 each comprise, as fixing means 14, by means of a transverse fixing plate 142 screwed onto the wall 1.
[0034] The plates 141, 142 may be made of the same material as the rod 12 or may be parts attached to the rod 12 by various means.
[0035] According to an advantageous characteristic visible at the figure 3, the rod 12 is designed to allow adjustment of its length. The rod 12 comprises a first part 121 and a second part 123. The fixing means 14 of the rod are arranged on the first part 121 while the assembly means 19 with the slat 6, 7 which the accessory ensures are held are arranged on the second part 123 and vice versa. Adjustment means 125 are provided to allow adjustment of the position of the second part relative to the first part to thus adjust the length of the rod. These adjustment means 125 allow, for example, the first part and the second part to slide relative to each other. This sliding movement is carried out by means of, for example, a rail system or a system using a tube in which a sliding rod slides. But other systems such as a system in which the two parts are fixed by notch are usable.
[0036] Each spacer accessory thus has an overall length (corresponding to the distance between its extreme points in its longitudinal direction) typically between 100 and 200 - 350 millimeters when it is fitted with all its fixing plates.
[0037] The rod 12 comprises, at one end, opposite the fixing means 14, means 13 for installing a membrane. These installation means 13 comprise a first jaw 15 and a second jaw 17. The first jaw 15 is attached by attachment means to the central portion 11 or is made of material with said central portion 11.
[0038] The first jaw 15 cooperates with the second jaw 17 by means of coupling means 16 as visible in the figure 4 These coupling means 16 are carried by the first jaw 15 and the second jaw 17.
[0039] According to the invention, the coupling means 16 comprise sliding or sliding means 160. These sliding means 160 are based on the torque formed by a groove 162 and a projecting line 164 as visible in the Figure 5 .
[0040] According to a first embodiment visible in the Figure 5 , the first jaw 15 comprises a pair of grooves 162 and the second jaw 17 comprises a pair of protruding lines 164.
[0041] The second jaw 17 is in the form of a piece of any shape called a base 170 from which two projecting portions 172 extend. These projecting portions 172 each comprise an outer face and an inner face 172a. The projecting portions 172 are arranged so that the inner faces 172a are parallel to each other. These inner faces 172a each carry a projecting line 164. This projecting line 164 is sized to fit into the groove 162 of the first jaw 15.
[0042] The first jaw 15 is in the form of a part 150 of any shape having a side wall 150a, that is to say a wall substantially parallel to the axis of the central portion. The part forming the first jaw 15 comprises an upper surface 150b and a lower surface 150c. The side wall 150a of the first jaw 15 is used to carry at least one groove 162.
[0043] The side wall 150a may include a single, peripheral groove 162 as seen in a figure 6 or comprise two grooves 162 extending parallel to each other, this or these grooves 162 being arranged to allow the projecting lines 164 of the second jaw 17 to be inserted therein.
[0044] The presence of a single peripheral groove 162 makes it possible to avoid a particular angular position of the second jaw relative to the first jaw 15. This is particularly true in the case of a first jaw 15 whose part 150 is circular in shape.
[0045] Indeed, the operation of this first embodiment consists of placing the second jaw 17 laterally to the first jaw 15 by aligning the projecting lines 164 of the second jaw 17 with the groove(s) 162. It is understood by this that the projecting lines 164 are opposite the groove(s) 162. The second jaw 17 can thus be moved laterally to allow the projecting lines 164 to enter the groove(s) 162. The second jaw 17 thus slides relative to the first jaw 15.
[0046] According to a variant of this first embodiment visible in Figures 7a, 7b and 7c, the first jaw 15 is arranged to have a step. Thus, the first jaw 15 is in the form of a block which has a step, on at least two opposite lateral faces, in order to have a stepped profile. The side wall is thus in two parts: an upper part 150a' and a lower part 150a", with a side wall in two parts. The first jaw 15 comprises at least one groove 162 extending in the plane of the first jaw, orthogonally to the axis of the central portion 11. This groove 162 is arranged on the side wall in the lower part or upper part. This groove 162 can also be arranged at the joint between the upper part and the lower part.
[0047] In a second embodiment visible at Figures 8a , 8b and 8c, the first jaw 15 comprises a part 150, of any shape, provided with a pair of projecting lines 164 and the second jaw comprises a pair of grooves 162.
[0048] The second jaw 17 is in the form of a piece of any shape 170 called a base from which two projecting portions 172 extend. These projecting portions 172 each comprise an outer face and an inner face. The projecting portions 172 are arranged so that the inner faces are parallel to each other. These inner faces each carry a groove 162. This groove 162 is sized to fit into a projecting line 164 of the first jaw 15.
[0049] The first jaw 15 is in the form of a part of any shape 150 having a side wall 150a, that is to say a wall substantially parallel to the axis of the central portion. The part forming the first jaw comprises an upper surface 150b and a lower surface 150c. The side wall 150a of the first jaw 15 is used to carry at least one projecting line 164.
[0050] The sidewall may include a single protruding line 164 as seen in figure 9 and peripheral or comprises two projecting lines 164 extending parallel, this or these projecting lines 164 being arranged to allow the grooves 162 of the second jaw 17 to be inserted therein.
[0051] The presence of a single peripheral protruding line 164 makes it possible to avoid a particular angular position of the second jaw 17 relative to the first jaw 15. This is particularly true in the case of a first jaw 15 whose part 150 is circular in shape.
[0052] Indeed, the operation of this second embodiment consists of placing the second jaw 17 laterally to the first jaw 15 by aligning the grooves 162 of the second jaw 17 with the protruding line(s) 164 of the first jaw 15. It is understood by this that the grooves 162 are opposite the protruding line(s) 164. The second jaw 17 can thus be moved laterally to allow the grooves 162 to enter the protruding line(s) 164. The second jaw 17 can thus slide relative to the first jaw 15.
[0053] According to a variant of this second embodiment, the first jaw 15 is arranged to have a step. Thus, the first jaw 15 is in the form of a block 150 which has a step, on at least two opposite lateral faces, in order to have a stepped profile. The side wall 150a is thus in two parts: an upper part 150a' and a lower part 150a", with a side wall 150a in two parts. The projecting part(s) 164 of the first jaw are arranged on the side wall in the lower part or upper part as visible in Figures 10a and 10b .
[0054] In another variant of this second embodiment visible in Figures 11a And 11b, the protruding portions 172 of the second jaw 17 are designed to have an L-shape with a main portion 172a extending substantially orthogonally to the surface of the second jaw 17 and a secondary portion 172b orthogonal to the main portion 172. The secondary portion 172b extends from the inner face, the face facing the first jaw 15, of the main portion 172a.
[0055] Cleverly according to this variant, the space E between the surface of the second jaw 17 and the secondary portion forms a housing or a “groove” into which the first jaw 15 can be inserted. In this variant, the first jaw as a whole forms a “protruding line”. Optionally, the first jaw 15 may locally have a recess at the level of the lower surface forming a housing into which the secondary portion is inserted.
[0056] In a variant of the two embodiments visible in figures 12 and 13 , the first jaw 15 comprises two half-jaws 15'. This variant is applicable in the case where the first jaw is not made of material with the central portion. The half-jaws 15' are, preferably but not necessarily, identical.
[0057] The 15' half-jaws are fixed by means of assembly means. These assembly means can take different forms to allow the 15' half-jaws to be assembled.
[0058] According to a first example, the two half-jaws 15' are assembled to each other by screwing. The half-jaws are arranged to allow a screw to assemble the two half-jaws.
[0059] According to a second example, the two half-jaws 15' are assembled to each other by snap-fastening. For this, one of the half-jaws 15' comprises at least one deformable blade provided with a notch while the other jaw comprises at least one housing. The deformable blade is capable of deforming to enter or exit the housing, the latter comprising a notch into which the notch is inserted.
[0060] According to a third example, each half-jaw 15' is provided with a blade and a housing, said housing being arranged to be opposite the blade of the other jaw.
[0061] In a variant of the examples, the two half-jaws 15' are secured by a hinge. This hinge may be a strip of deformable material or a hinge and pin system. This hinge allows the half-jaws to pivot along an axis parallel to the central axis of the central portion or along an axis orthogonal to the central axis of the central portion.
[0062] Each half-jaw 15' further comprises a notch such that, when the two half-jaws 15' are coupled, these notches form a recess into which the central portion can be inserted.
[0063] In another variant, the second jaw 17 is arranged to allow the fixing of a frame. For this, means 30 for fixing a frame are arranged. These means consist, for example, of a peripheral groove 31 or of two parallel grooves arranged on the second jaw allowing the fixing of a U-shaped profile. Indeed, such a profile consists of a metal or plastic sheet folded to have two parallel arms making it possible to obtain a U or C shape depending on the orientation of said profile. The end of each arm of the profile has an excess thickness. This excess thickness is such that it can be inserted into the groove to allow the fixing of said profile.
[0064] Alternatively, the fixing means 30 of a frame comprise two parallel arms 33. These arms extend from the second jaw 17 in a direction parallel to the axis of the central portion. These arms have a spacing such that they can be inserted into the space present between the two arms of a U-shaped or C-shaped profile.
[0065] The installation means 13 comprising a first jaw 15 and a second jaw 17 are thus used to fix, attach a membrane M to the spacing device. The installation of the membrane is carried out after the process of placing the spacing device on the wall to be lined.
[0066] This installation method includes a step of fixing the central portion on the wall P to be doubled via the fixing means 14 visible in the Figure 14a This fixing uses screws or nails or glue to fix the central portion 11 orthogonally to the wall to be lined.
[0067] Then, a step of adjusting the length of the central portion is carried out if said central portion 11 is adjustable, visible in the Figure 14b This step consists of manipulating the adjustment means 125 to allow the length of the central portion to be adjusted, the latter comprising a first part and a second part which slide relative to each other.
[0068] After this adjustment step, a step consisting of installing the insulation with the help of said spacer accessory is carried out. This insulation is placed between the wall and the first jaw. This installation differs depending on the configuration of the spacer device.
[0069] A first way of laying the insulation is to skewer it onto the rod 12. This way of laying the insulation is possible if the first jaw is a piece added to the rod 12. This skewering is carried out before the first jaw 15 is put in place.
[0070] A second way of laying the insulation is to arrange it so that it rests on the lower surface 150c.
[0071] This lower surface 150c comprises, in a first option, teeth. These teeth extend orthogonally to the lower surface 150c. These teeth allow the insulation to be skewered to hold it.
[0072] According to a second option, the spacer device 10 comprises an additional plate fixed to the rod 12. This plate comprises a surface on which the insulation rests.
[0073] This second way is possible for a first jaw 15 of material with the rod 12 or attached to it.
[0074] In the case of a first jaw 15 which is not made of material with the rod, an optional step (visible at Figure 14c) consists of fixing the first jaw to the main portion. Indeed, in this case, the kit of the spacing device comprises a central portion, a first jaw and a second jaw, said first jaw 15 not necessarily being mounted with the central portion. It is therefore necessary to have a step of fixing the first jaw 15 to the main portion.
[0075] Another optional step (not shown) for both ways of installing insulation consists of disassembling the second jaw from the first jaw 15. Indeed, the kit of the spacer device comprises a central portion, a first jaw 15 and a second jaw 17, said second jaw 17 being able to be pre-fixed to the first jaw 15.
[0076] The process of attaching / fixing the membrane then consists of providing said membrane as visible in the Figure 14c. The membrane M is advantageously an airtightness and / or water vapor management membrane, preferably a membrane providing both of these functions. The water vapor management membrane is advantageously a vapor barrier membrane or a hygroregulating membrane, i.e. one whose water vapor permeance varies according to the ambient relative humidity. The membrane M consists of a sheet or a plurality of sheets assembled together.
[0077] In a second stage visible at the Figure 14d , this membrane M is placed on the first jaw. The membrane M is placed so as to cover the upper surface of the first jaw 15, more particularly the groove(s) or groove(s) arranged on this first jaw.
[0078] Then a third step consists of taking the second jaw 17 and placing it next to the first jaw as visible in the figure 14eThis placement is such that the groove(s) 162 are arranged opposite the projecting lines.
[0079] A fourth step then consists of assembling the second jaw 17 with the first jaw 15. For this, the second jaw 17 is moved so that the projecting parts 164 are inserted into the grooves 162. This insertion is carried out so that the membrane M is inserted between the first jaw and the second jaw. It is understood that the membrane M is inserted between the grooves and the projecting parts as visible in the Figure 14f . Indeed, the grooves 162 and the projecting parts 164 are sized to allow, when the projecting parts are inserted into the grooves, the presence of a space. This space is such that it allows the membrane to take place between the groove and the projecting part.
[0080] The second jaw 17 is then slid to be assembled to the first jaw 15. Ideally, the second jaw 17 has dimensions such that the length of the grooves 162 and the length of the projecting lines 164 are substantially identical.
[0081] The advantage of this spacer device 10 is that it allows the membrane to be put in place without breaking its integrity. Indeed, having the membrane M placed between the first jaw 15 and the second jaw 17 ensures that it is held in place without requiring the membrane to be pierced.
[0082] This method of attaching / fixing the membrane is repeated for each spacing device that the wall lining device comprises. Indeed, such a device comprises at least one spacing device according to the invention, a wind barrier, vapor barrier or vapor retarder membrane M to be attached to the spacing accessories.
[0083] In another variant visible at figures 15 and 16 , the two half-jaws forming the second jaw 17 are arranged to allow the fixing of a frame. For this, means for fixing a frame 30 are arranged. These fixing means 30 are arranged on the upper face of at least one half-jaw 170. These means 30 consist, for example, of a groove 31 which may be peripheral or of two parallel portions arranged on the second jaw allowing the fixing of a U-shaped P profile. Indeed, such a profile consists of a metal or plastic or polymer sheet folded to have two parallel arms making it possible to obtain a U or C shape depending on the orientation of said profile. The end of each arm of the profile has an excess thickness. This excess thickness is such that it can be inserted into the groove to allow the fixing of said profile.
[0084] Alternatively, the means for fixing a frame comprise two parallel arms 33. These arms extend from the second jaw 17 in a direction parallel to the axis of the central portion. These arms have a spacing such that they can be inserted into the space present between the two arms of a U- or C-shaped profile.
[0085] Of course, the present invention is not limited to the illustrated example but is susceptible to various variants and modifications falling within the scope of the claims.
