TECHNICAL AREA
[0001] The present invention relates to an adhesive label for labeling a container with a hanging loop. The hanging loop is designed to be pulled over the bottom of the container for hanging. The hanging loop is at least partially separated from the rest of the adhesive label by die-cutting or perforation and is connected at its ends to the rest of the adhesive label via two anchoring areas. The hanging loop has an elongated strip of material and two transition areas that adjoin the elongated strip on both sides and extend partially transversely to the elongated strip. The hanging loop has end sections that connect the transition areas to the anchoring areas. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Adhesive labels are used to label containers such as infusion, transfusion, or injection bottles. The hanging loop of the label can be at least partially detached from the rest of the label and pulled over the bottom of the container, so that the hanging loop is suspended, for example, from an IV stand, and the container hangs vertically from the stand during administration of the infusion.
[0003] DE 103 07 251 discloses such a label, suitable for labeling a container. The label comprises a hanging loop with a horizontal strip of material and vertical side sections extending transversely to the horizontal strip. The length of the side sections is three to six times their width. The elongated side sections, which extend almost to the side of the label opposite the strip, project significantly into the surface of the adhesive label. Consequently, very little space is available for printing on the label.

[0007] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an adhesive label for labeling a container, the hanging bracket of which is arranged on the adhesive label in a space-saving manner. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The problem is solved by an adhesive label comprising the features according to claim 1. Preferred embodiments are described in the dependent claims.
[0009] According to the present invention, the end sections extend at least partially towards each other. The anchoring areas are arranged between the end sections. The suspension bracket is adhesive-neutralized in such a way that, when removed from the labeled container, it detaches completely from the container up to the anchoring areas.
[0010] Within the scope of the present invention, the term "adhesive-neutralized" means that a corresponding part of the adhesive label, in this case the hanging loop, is non-adhesive. The hanging loop is designed to be non-adhesive in such a way that it detaches completely from the labeled container, right down to the anchoring areas, when the label is removed. This detachment of the hanging loop from the label is achieved either when the hanging loop is completely adhesive-neutralized or when only small areas, for example, 1 to 10% of the hanging loop's surface, are adhesive to prevent the hanging loop from folding away when the adhesive label is applied to the container. The adhesive-neutralized or non-adhesive property of the hanging loop can be achieved by printing a layer of material that neutralizes the adhesive on the existing adhesive on the hanging loop.
[0011] By having the end sections extend at least partially towards each other, a space-saving design for the adhesive label, especially the hanging loop, is achieved. The remaining part of the adhesive label can be printed on a large surface.
[0012] By extending the suspension bracket from the elongated strip of material perpendicular to its longitudinal direction, and by allowing the end sections to partially converge from their respective transitions, a sufficient length is achieved for the suspension bracket to be easily pulled across the bottom of the container, despite its space-saving design. When the suspension bracket is detached from the container, the transition sections and end sections unfold to form the full length of the suspension bracket. Furthermore, the label material can be plastically stretchable, allowing additional length to be achieved by stretching the suspension bracket. For example, Valéron 165® can be used. The suspension bracket provides sufficient length to suspend the container, along with the adhesive label, from a device such as an IV stand.
[0013] Preferably, the elongated strip of material extends over a length greater than the distance between the two anchoring areas, the distance between the anchoring areas being measured parallel to the length of the material strip. Preferably, the distance between the anchoring areas is selected and adapted to the container to be labeled such that the anchoring areas are arranged on the container offset from each other by 180°. In other words, preferably the distance between the anchoring areas is selected such that the anchoring areas are opposite each other when the adhesive label has been applied to the container. This allows the container to hang vertically below a support, for example, an IV stand, to which the hanging bracket is attached.
[0014] According to the present invention, the end sections extend parallel to the elongated material strip. This has the advantage that the end sections run parallel to the elongated material strip as close as possible to it, and thus the hanging bracket only occupies a spatially very limited area of the adhesive label. This allows for large-area printing of the remaining adhesive label. Preferably, the length of the elongated material strip is 5 to 9 times, more preferably 6 to 8 times, and most preferably 7 times the length of each end section. In other words, the end sections each extend over one-ninth to one-fifth, more preferably one-eighth to one-sixth, and most preferably one-seventh of the length of the elongated material strip.
[0015] According to a further embodiment of the present invention, the hanging bracket is completely adhesive-free. Preferably, the entire surface of the hanging bracket facing a labeled container is adhesive-free. In other words, the hanging bracket is completely non-adhesive. This allows the hanging bracket to be easily removed even if an adhesive label has been applied to the container.
[0016] Preferably, the remaining part of the adhesive label has two retaining sections for holding the hanging loop when the label is applied to the container. Each retaining section is adjacent to one of the transition areas of the hanging loop, and each retaining section is connected to the adjacent transition area by at least one rib. This ensures that the hanging loop does not detach when the label is applied to the container, but can be applied to the container in the same plane as the rest of the label. Preferably, the ribs are designed to break or tear when the hanging loop is removed.

Claims
1. Adhesive label for labeling a container (2), wherein the adhesive label has a hanging bracket (4), wherein the hanging bracket (4) is designed to be pulled over a bottom (5) of the container (2) in order to hang it up, wherein the hanging bracket (4) is at least partially separated from a remaining part (10) of the adhesive label (3) by punching or perforation (8, 9) and is connected at its ends (11) to the remaining part (10) of the adhesive label (3) via two anchoring areas (12), wherein the hanging bracket (4) has an elongated material strip (7) and two transition areas (13) which adjoin the elongated material strip (7) on both sides and extend partially transversely to the elongated material strip (7), and wherein the hanging bracket (4) has end sections (14) which connect the transition areas (13) to the anchoring areas (12), wherein the end sections (14) extend at least partially towards each other, wherein the anchoring areas (12) are arranged between the end sections (14), wherein the hanging bracket (4) is glue-neutralized in such a way that, when pulled off the labeled container (2), it detaches completely from the latter up to the anchoring areas (12), wherein the hanging bracket (4) is separated from the remaining part (10) of the adhesive label (3) by a first punched or perforated line (8) which defines an inner contour (15) of the hanging bracket (4) running along facing sides (16) of the transition areas (13), wherein the hanging bracket (4) is separated from the remaining part (10) of the adhesive label (4) by second punching or perforation lines (9) which at least partially define an outer contour (17) of the hanging bracket (4), and wherein the transition areas (13) each have a straight-line course along the outer contour (17) of the hanging bracket (4), characterized in that the transition areas (13) along the inner contour (15) of the hanging bracket (4) each have a radius (r) of 2 mm to 8 mm, preferably 4 mm, and that the end sections (14) extend parallel to the elongated material strip (7).
2. Adhesive label according to claim 1, characterized in that the hanging bracket (4) is completely glue-neutralized.

Adhesive label according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the remaining part (10) of the adhesive label (3) has two retaining sections (18) for retaining the hanging bracket (4) when attaching the adhesive label (3) to the container (2), wherein each retaining section (18) adjoins one of the transition areas (13) of the hanging bracket (4), and wherein the respective retaining section (18) is connected to the adjoining transition area (13) by at least one web (19).
4. Adhesive label according to claim 3, characterized in that the retaining sections (18) extend transversely to the elongated material strip (7) of the hanging bracket (4) over the entire length of the transition areas (13).
5. Arrangement comprising a container (2) with an adhesive label (3) according to any one of the preceding claims 1 to 4, wherein the container (2) has a bottom (5) and the adhesive label (3) is arranged on the container (2) in such a way that the elongated material strip (7) of the hanging bracket (4) is positioned close to the bottom and parallel to the bottom (5).
