Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a strapping package, a method for producing strapping packages and a tool for producing strapping packages according to the features of the independent claims.
[0002] For transport purposes, groups of similar items or beverage containers are often combined in handy, especially portable, packs of four, six, or more items or containers. Mechanical cohesion of the items or beverage containers can be achieved, for example, by wrapping and holding them together in shrink film. In addition to the widely used film packs or shrink-wrap packs, there are also so-called strapping packs, adhesive packs, and combinations of these pack types.
[0003] While the individual items or containers in purely adhesive packages are directly joined by their outer surfaces using adhesive bonds, in strapped packages the containers are held together by strapping bands stretched horizontally around the containers.
