Detailed description

[0023] THE Figures 1 , 2 and 3The figures illustrate a support device 1 according to a first embodiment of the invention. The support device 1 comprises a pole 2 and a wrist strap 3 that can be removably attached to the pole 2. The pole 2 is intended to be grasped by a user's hand to provide support on the ground. The pole 2 comprises a tubular section 4 surmounted by a handle 5. The tubular section 4 may be equipped with a tip or end piece for contacting the ground. The tip or end piece is positioned at the opposite end of the tubular section 4 from the handle 5. The pole 2 may be intended for use in gliding sports such as alpine skiing, ski touring, and / or cross-country skiing. It may also be intended for use in hiking, Nordic walking, and / or trail running. The pole 2 is considered to extend parallel to a vertical axis Z. The vertical axis Z is oriented upwards. The terms "above" or "below" refer to an arrangement along the vertical Z axis. The terms "front" and "back" are defined in relation to a longitudinal X axis, perpendicular to the vertical Z axis and parallel to the direction in which a user of the support device moves in a straight line. The longitudinal X axis is oriented from back to front. The back of the stick refers to the side of the stick facing the wrist strap 3 (and therefore also the user's forearm), and the front of the stick refers to the side of the stick opposite the wrist strap. The transverse Y axis is perpendicular to both the longitudinal X axis and the vertical Z axis.

[0024] The wrist strap 3 is shown schematically on the Figures 1 , 2 and 3The wrist strap 3 includes an attachment means 6 for attaching to the user's wrist and / or hand. This attachment means 6 may, for example, be a strap designed to be positioned on the hand and / or a glove. The attachment means 6 may also be integrated into the glove. This glove may be perforated. The attachment means 6 may include parts made of fabric and / or plastic. The wrist strap 3 further includes a connecting element 7, or connector 7, configured to cooperate with a first opening 8 arranged at the rear of the handle 5 of the stick 2 so as to removably attach the wrist strap 3 to the stick 2. The connecting element 7 is integral with the attachment means 6. The connecting element 7 may, in particular, be sewn, glued, knotted, or welded to the attachment means 6.

[0025] The first opening 8, better visible on the figures 2 and 3The first opening 8 may include a shape complementary to the shape of the connecting element 7. It may include an opening facing the rear of the rod 2. The first opening 8 faces the user. The first opening 8 may include guide surfaces, particularly in the form of ramps, facilitating the insertion of the connecting element 7.

[0026] A fastening device 10 is configured to removably connect the wrist strap 3 to the stick 2. The fastening device 10 includes the handle 5 and the connecting element 7 mentioned previously, as well as a locking element 11. The locking element is movable relative to the handle 5 between a locked position (illustrated in the figure 3 ) and an unlocking position (illustrated on the figure 2The connecting element 7 is able to be locked relative to the handle 5, particularly within the first opening 8, when the locking element is in the locked position. Conversely, the connecting element 7 is free to move out of the first opening 8 when the locking element 11 is in the unlocked position. The handle 5, the connecting element 7, and the locking element 11 are three distinct components of the fastening device 10.

[0027] The handle 5 includes a second opening 12 within which the locking element 11 is arranged. This second opening 12 is, in particular, a through opening. The second opening 12 therefore comprises a first end 12A and a second end 12B, distinct from one another. The circumference of the first end 12A is connected to the circumference of the second end 12B by a set of internal walls 13 belonging to the handle 5. In other words, the second opening 12 forms a tunnel passing completely through the handle 5 of the stick 2. The first end 12A may be located on an upper face of the handle 5, and the second end 12B may be located on a front face of the handle 5.

[0028] The first opening 8 and the second opening 12 are both arranged in the upper part of the handle 5, above a gripping surface of the handle. The axis along which the first opening 8 extends may be substantially perpendicular to the axis along which the second opening 12 extends. These two openings 8 and 12 communicate with each other in such a way as to allow the connecting element 7 to cooperate with the locking element 11.

[0029] The locking element 11 is movable within the second opening 12 between its locked and unlocked positions. In particular, the locking element 11 is movable through a translational movement. Specifically, the locking element 11 is movable in a plane parallel to the longitudinal axis X and the vertical axis Z between its locked and unlocked positions. The locking element 11 includes, in particular, a body 14 having external walls 15 designed to slide against the internal walls 13 of the second opening 12 of the handle.

[0030] Advantageously, the fastening device 10 includes mechanical linkage means configured to retain the locking element (11) to the handle (5). Thus, the locking element 11 remains attached to the handle 5 and is not at risk of being lost. In particular, said mechanical linkage means include stop means configured to limit the range of movement of the locking element 11 relative to the handle 5. As illustrated in the figures 2 and 3These stop means may include, on the one hand, a pin 16, for example in the form of an axis parallel to the transverse axis Y, and on the other hand, an oblong opening 17 cooperating with the pin 16. The pin 16 is integral with the handle 5, and the oblong opening 17 is formed in the locking element 11. The oblong opening 17 has an oval shape whose width corresponds substantially to the diameter of the pin 16 and whose length is equal to the desired stroke of the locking element 11 to move from its locked position to its unlocked position. Alternatively or in addition, stop means may be formed by conjugate reliefs arranged on the inner walls 13 of the second opening 12 and the outer walls 15 of the locking element 11.

[0031] Advantageously, the fastening device 10 can consist solely of three elements: the handle 5, the connecting element 7, and the locking element 11. The pin 6 can optionally form a fourth element of the fastening device 10. In all cases, the fastening device 10 is therefore particularly simple to manufacture and assemble. In particular, the fastening device 10 does not include any spring or equivalent return mechanism. All the elements of the fastening device 10 can advantageously be made of injection-molded plastic. The pin 16 can optionally be a metal shaft.

[0032] The locking element 11 includes a retaining clip 18 having a first retaining surface 19. The handle 5 includes a second retaining surface 20 cooperating with the first retaining surface 19 to hold the locking element 11 in the locked position. The retaining clip 18 includes an appendage 21 connected to the body 14 by an elastic portion 22 such as an elastic tab or a spring blade. The first retaining surface 19 is formed on a face of the appendage 21. The second retaining surface 20 is formed on an edge of the second opening 12, in particular at a front edge of the first end 12A of the opening 12. The second retaining surface 20 is formed, in particular, on a portion of an outer face of the handle, in particular on the upper face of the handle according to the first embodiment illustrated. When the locking element 11 is in the locked position, the appendage 21 protrudes above the upper face of the handle 5. The appendage is thus easily accessible to the user.

[0033] According to one embodiment, the elastic portion could be constituted by a separate elastic means arranged between the appendage 21 and the body 14. The elastic means could, for example, be a spiral spring, a helical spring, or a leaf spring. The elastic means could also be an element made of an elastic material such as rubber.

[0034] The first retaining surface 19 extends opposite the second retaining surface 20, forming a stop that prevents the locking element 11 from moving to its unlocked position. When the locking element 11 is in the locked position, the overlap between the retaining surfaces 19 and 20 can be on the order of a few millimeters. This overlap can be relatively small since the retaining surfaces 19 and 20 bear no load when a user pushes on the stick 2 with the wrist strap 3.

[0035] The elastic portion 22 is capable of flexing sufficiently to separate the first retaining surface 19 from the second retaining surface 20 without breaking or becoming permanently deformed. The fastening clip 18 includes a first bearing surface 23 intended to be actuated by the user to separate the first retaining surface 19 from the second retaining surface 20. The first bearing surface 23 is a manually operated surface, accessible to the fingers from outside the handle. The separation of the first retaining surface 19 and the second retaining surface 20 then allows the locking element to be moved from its locked position to its unlocked position.

[0036] Advantageously, the retaining clip 18 can be configured to induce automatic movement of the locking element to its unlocked position when the first retaining surface is separated from the second retaining surface. This can be achieved through the action of the elastic portion 22 on the inner wall 13 of the second opening 12. Thus, to move the locking element to the unlocked position, the user only needs to separate the two retaining surfaces 19 and 20 from each other.

[0037] Appendix 21 further includes a guide surface 29 bearing against the inner wall 13 when the locking element 11 is in the unlocked position and when the locking element 11 slides inside the second opening 12. The elastic portion 22 is under tension when the guide surface 29 is bearing against the inner wall 13. When the locking element 11 reaches its locked position, the release of tension in the elastic portion 22 causes the retaining surfaces 19 and 20 to overlap, and the locking element 11 to lock. The bearing of the guide surface 29 against the inner wall 13 also helps to stabilize the unlocked position of the unlocking element.

[0038] The first bearing surface 23 is formed on an upper face of the appendage 21. In particular, the first bearing surface 23 protrudes above an upper face of the handle 5 when the locking element 11 is in the locked position. The first bearing surface 23 is arranged so that pressure on it causes the elastic portion 22 to flex. According to the embodiment illustrated in figures 2 and 3 The first support surface 23 is designed to be operated with the thumb of the user's hand, with the other fingers surrounding the handle. The first support surface 23 is therefore easily accessible while holding the stick 2.

[0039] Advantageously, the fastening device 10 includes a stop surface 24 configured to limit the deflection of the elastic portion 22. This prevents the user from damaging the elastic portion 22 by pressing too hard on the first bearing surface 23. Advantageously, this stop surface 24 is formed by an internal wall 13 of the second opening 12.

[0040] The body 14 of the locking element 11 may include a retaining element 25 for cooperating with the connecting element 7. The retaining element 25 is capable of holding the connecting element 7 when the locking element 11 is in its locked position. In particular, the retaining element 25 may be in the form of a first finger. Specifically, the first finger may be designed to be inserted into a hole 26 formed in the connecting element 7. The first finger formed on the body of the locking element 11 cooperates directly with the complementary hole 26 formed in the connecting element. When the locking element 11 is in the locked position, the first finger passes through the first opening 8.A wall of the first opening 8 may include a recess for the tip of the first finger, so as to support the first finger and thus prevent it from bending when the user exerts significant pulling force on the wrist strap 3. The body 14 of the locking element 11 may also include a second finger 27 in which the oblong opening 17 is formed. The second finger 27 may slide in a recess 28 formed in the handle 5 and opening into the second opening 12. The first finger 25 and the second finger 27 may extend parallel to the axis along which the locking element 11 slides between its locked and unlocked positions. The elastic portion 22 may also extend parallel to the axis along which the locking element 11 slides between its locked and unlocked positions. The second finger 27 is arranged between the retaining element 25 and the elastic portion 22.

[0041] The locking element 11 further includes a second support surface 30, separate from the first support surface 23, which is operated by the user to move the locking element 11 from its unlocked position to its locked position. The locking of the wrist strap 3 onto the handle 2 is therefore operated manually and not automatically. Thus, the user retains complete control over locking the wrist strap 3. Moreover, there is no need for a return mechanism or a complex system to automatically move the locking element into the locked position. The fastening device 10 therefore remains simple to manufacture and assemble.

[0042] The second support surface 30 is formed on a front face of the body 14 of the locking element 11. This front face extends into the upper part of the handle 5 substantially opposite the user's index finger when holding the stick 2. The user can thus easily move the locking element to its locking position by pressing with the index finger as if pressing a trigger, with the other fingers of the hand surrounding the handle 5.

[0043] The first support surface 23 is arranged at the first end 12A of the second opening 12, and the second support surface 30 is arranged at the second end 12B of the second opening 12. The second support surface 30 may include a rounded shape conforming to the shape of the folded index finger. The second support surface 30 may include a protrusion 31 separating the index and middle fingers of the hand, thus facilitating gripping.

[0044] To manufacture the support device 1, a handle 5, produced by plastic injection molding, can be fitted onto a tubular section 4. Next, the locking element 11 can be inserted into the second opening 12 through its second end 12B until it reaches the locked position. Finally, the pin 16 can be inserted into the handle to secure the locking element relative to the handle 5. Furthermore, the connecting element 7 can be attached using a fastener 6 to form a wrist strap 3. The manufacture of the support device 1 is therefore particularly simple and quick.

[0045] To use the support device, a user can put on the wrist strap 3 and then insert the connecting element 7 into the first opening 8.

[0046] Advantageously, the connecting element 7 is attached by means of the fastener 6 so that the user can easily guide the connecting element 7 into the first opening 8 with the fastener 6 already threaded around their hand. The connecting element 7 is secured by means of the fastener 6 so as to be positioned between the thumb and forefinger of the hand. Thus, the connecting element 7 positions the wrist strap and the hand as close as possible to the handle. Then, once the connecting element is in place in the first opening 8, the user can grasp the stick and apply pressure with their forefinger on the second support surface 30 to move the locking element into its locked position. Activation of the fastening clip 18 can generate a sound and / or a stimulus indicating to the user that the locking element 11 has reached its locked position. The user can then engage in any safe activity without fear of dropping the stick. The user can also exert pressure on the stick 2 via the wrist strap 3 without having to grip the handle 5. Then, when the user wishes to detach their hand from the stick 2, they simply press down with their thumb on the first support surface 23. This causes the elastic portion 22 to flex, and the retaining surfaces 19 and 20 to move apart. The locking element 11 can then be moved to its unlocked position. This movement of the locking element 11 to the unlocked position can be achieved by pressing the thumb on the first support surface 23 and / or by a reaction force from the appendage 21 on the inner wall 13 of the second opening 12.

[0047] THE Figures 4 and 5 illustrate a support device according to a second embodiment of the invention. Figures 6 and 7 illustrate a support device according to a third embodiment of the invention. figures 8 and 9illustrate a support device according to a fourth embodiment of the invention. Figures 10 and 11 illustrate a support device according to a fifth embodiment of the invention. Figures 12, 13 and 14 illustrate a support device according to a sixth embodiment of the invention. To simplify the description of these embodiments and the reading of the figures, the same reference numerals are used as for the first embodiment to describe identical or equivalent objects, but with an increment of 200 for the second embodiment, 300 for the third, 400 for the fourth, 500 for the fifth, and 600 for the sixth. For example, handle 5 of the first embodiment is thus referenced as 205 in the second embodiment. Furthermore, only the main differences with the first embodiment are described.

[0048] According to the second embodiment, the first bearing surface 223 of the locking element 211, that is, the bearing surface for moving the locking element 211 to its unlocked position, is positioned on a front face of the handle 205 and is intended to be operated with the index finger. Conversely, the second bearing surface 230 of the locking element 211, that is, the bearing surface for moving the locking element 211 to its locked position, is positioned on the upper face of the handle 205 and is intended to be operated with the thumb. Furthermore, the opening 208 that accommodates the connecting element includes a retaining element 232 that cooperates with the connecting element 7 to hold the connecting element in place within the opening 208 while the locking element is in the unlocked position. The retaining element 232 is formed by a protrusion, particularly at the lower edge of the opening 208, which can also be used to pre-center the wrist strap's connecting element 7 before it is locked by the retaining element 225. This facilitates attaching the wrist strap to the baton. Furthermore, the locking element 211 also includes a second elastic tab 233 designed to bear against the pin 216. The second elastic tab 233 bears against the pin 216 when the locking element is in its unlocked position. This stabilizes the unlocked position of the locking element, which would otherwise tend to slide down under the effect of gravity. This facilitates the insertion of the connecting element 7 into the opening 208.

[0049] According to the third embodiment, the first retaining surface 319 is formed on a rear edge of the appendage 321, and not on a front edge as in the first embodiment. The second retaining surface 320 is formed on a rear edge of the opening 312. Thus, the movement required to separate the retaining surfaces 319 and 320 from each other is a forward pressing movement on the appendage 321, and not a downward movement. This movement can be performed with the thumb, with the other fingers of the hand surrounding the handle 305.

[0050] According to the fourth embodiment, the 405 handle is of the cross-country ski type. It includes a shape better suited to the thrusts exerted during cross-country skiing.

[0051] According to the fifth embodiment, the handle 505 is also of the cross-country ski type. Furthermore, the first bearing surface 523 of the locking element 511 is positioned on the front face of the handle 505 and is intended to be operated with the index finger. The second bearing surface 530 of the locking element 511 is positioned on the upper face of the handle 505 and is intended to be operated with the thumb.

[0052] According to the sixth embodiment, the fastening device 610 comprises two first retaining surfaces 619 cooperating with two second retaining surfaces 620. The fastening device therefore also comprises two first bearing surfaces 623. The first two bearing surfaces 623 are arranged on the lateral sides of the handle 605. The first two bearing surfaces 623 are intended to be actuated by a pinching motion of the thumb and forefinger, with the other fingers of the hand surrounding the handle 605. According to this embodiment, unlocking the locking element 611 is therefore more secure since it requires two simultaneous presses. The second bearing surface 630 is positioned on an upper face of the locking element 611 and is intended to be actuated with the thumb.

[0053] The features of the various embodiments presented can be freely combined to obtain other fastening devices. In each of these embodiments, the locking element is a single piece. Specifically, the body, the retaining element, the elastic portion, and the first retaining surface form a monolithic assembly. The locking element is therefore not formed by assembling several articulated parts. Thus, a single element ensures both the locking of the connecting element in an opening in the handle and its retention in this locked position. The locking element can advantageously be manufactured by plastic injection molding.
