[0005] A cooking device such as an oven comprises at least one outer body; at least one inner compartment in the outer body, which is surrounded by at least one inner body; at least one heating element for heating the inner compartment; and at least one door providing access into the inner compartment through an opening. Said door is movable between a closed position and an open position, such that it closes the opening and is pulled in front of the opening. In order to provide the opening / closing movement, the door can be connected to the inner body and / or outer body by means of a hinge. Depending on the user's needs and location of the cooking device, the door can be opened by moving downwards or to one side (right / left). Here, in case the door opens downwards, the hinge is positioned in a lower part of the outer body and / or inner body, and in case the door is opened laterally, the hinge is positioned in a lateral section of the outer body and / or inner body.
[0006] Sheet material is generally used in the inner body and outer body parts of the cooking devices. The sheet materials are preferred in the inner body and outer body parts of the cooking devices since they are easy to shape, light-weight and have a relatively high mechanical strength. [0007] The cooking device according to the present invention comprises at least one inner body; at least one side panel provided on at least one side (preferably two opposite sides) of the inner body; at least one frame provided at a front portion of the inner body; at least one door controlling access to the inner body through the frame; at least one hinge for connecting the door to said frame and side panel in a movable manner; at least one connecting surface on the side panel, which is suitable for connecting at least one portion of the frame and the hinge thereto; at least a first support bracket suitable for being connected to the connecting surface on at least one side thereof, to the hinge and frame on at least one other side thereof, and to at least one lug on at least one other side thereof, wherein the lug is provided at an upper part of the frame; at least three fasteners, each for connecting the first support bracket to the connecting surface, and to the frame or lug by means of the hinge.
[0008] The cooking device according to the present invention strengthens the connection of the hinge with the frame and the connecting surface by means of the first support bracket. Thus, when the door is moved to the open position and / or a force is applied on the door, connection of the hinge with the frame and connecting surface is prevented from being damaged, thus ensuring a reliable and long-lasting cooking device.

[0040] Description of the Invention
[0041] A cooking device such as an oven usually comprises a body made of a thin metal material such as sheet metal. Although the sheet material mostly provides the necessary mechanical strength to the body, it is not sufficient to provide the mechanical strength alone in the sections to which the hinge connecting the door with the body is connected. Therefore, the present invention provides a cooking device with a strengthened door hinge connection.
[0042] The cooking device (C) according to the present invention, as illustrated in figures 1-7, comprises at least one inner body (1) in a hollow structure so as to form an inner compartment for performing the cooking process; at least one side panel (2) provided on at least one side (preferably two opposite sides) of the inner body (1); at least one frame (5) provided at a front portion of the inner body (1); at least one door (3) controlling access to the inner body (1) through the frame (5); at least one hinge (4) for connecting the door (3) to said frame (5) and side panel (2) in a movable manner; at least one connecting surface (2a) on the side panel (2), preferably formed by bending the side panel (2), which is suitable for connecting at least one portion of the frame (5) and the hinge (4) thereto; at least a first support bracket (6), which is preferably provided at a side of the frame (5) facing the inner body (1) and is suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a) on at least one side thereof, to the hinge (4) and frame (5) on at least one other side thereof, and to at least one lug (5a) on at least one other side thereof, wherein the lug (5a) is provided at an upper part of the frame (5); at least three fasteners (8), each for connecting the first support bracket (6) to the connecting surface (2a), and to the frame (5) or lug (5a) by means of the hinge (4).
[0043] In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the cooking device (C) is an oven. Here, frame (5) and the side panel(s) (2) form an outer body of the cooking device (C). Access to the inner compartment, which is formed by the inner body (1) for performing the cooking process, is provided by a door (3) connected to the side panel (2) and the frame (5) by means of at least one hinge (4). Here, when the door (3) is moved to the open position, weight of the door (3) and / or forces applied on the door (3) from top to bottom may damage the connection of the hinge (4) with the side panel (2) and the frame (5). In order to prevent this, the first support bracket (6) is used. By means of the fasteners (8), preferably screws, the first support bracket (6) is connected to the connecting surface (2a) on at least one side thereof, to the hinge (4) and frame (5) on at least one other side thereof, and to at least one lug (5a) on at least one other side thereof, wherein the lug (5a) is provided at an upper part of the frame (5). Thus, connection of the hinge (4) with the side panel (2) and the frame (5) is strengthened, so that the loads are prevented from damaging this connection.
[0044] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cooking device (C) comprises at least a second support bracket (7) suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a), preferably on the side thereof facing the inner body (1). The second support bracket (7) is preferably in the form of a plate extending along the connecting surface (2a). Here, the second support bracket (7) can be provided between the first support bracket (6) and the connecting surface (2a). In this embodiment, the first support bracket (6) is connected on one side thereof to both the connecting surface (2a) and the second support bracket (7). Thus, mechanical strength of the connecting surface (2a) is further increased.
[0045] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, as illustrated in figures 6 and 7, the first support bracket (6) comprises at least one top plate (6a) suitable for being connected to the lug (5a); at least a first front plate (6b) which extends downwardly from a front portion of the top plate (6a) and is suitable for being connected to said hinge (4) and frame (5); at least a second front plate (6c) which extends upwardly from the front portion of the top plate (6a) and is suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a) (and to the second support bracket (7), if any). Here, since the second front plate (6b) connected to the connecting surface (2a) extends upwards while the first front plate (6a) connected to the hinge (4) and the frame (5) extends downwards, if a force is applied on the hinge (4), at least a part of this force is transmitted to the upper part of the connecting surface (2a) via the first support bracket (6). Here, another part of the force is directly transmitted to the connecting surface (2a) by means of the connection of the hinge (4) and the connecting surface (2a). Since the force is distributed and allocated to different parts of the connecting surface (2a), the hinge (4) connection is effectively strengthened. The first support bracket (6) may also comprise at least one rear plate (6e) extending downwardly from a rear portion of the top plate (6a). Said rear plate (6e) increases the mechanical strength of the first support bracket (6), which is preferably made of sheet material. In this embodiment, the first support bracket (6) may also comprise at least one connection hole (6f), each suitable for connecting at least one fastener (8) thereto. Said connection holes are located on the top plate (6a), the first front plate (6b) and the second front plate (6c).
[0046] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connecting surface (2a) comprises at least one connecting surface flexion (2b) on one side thereof farthest from the panel (2). Said connecting surface flexion (2b) is provided, for example, by bending said end of the connecting surface (2a), which is made of sheet material, on itself. Thus, the mechanical strength of the connecting surface (2a) is further increased. CLAIMS1. A cooking device (C) comprising at least one inner body (1); at least one side panel (2) provided on at least one side (preferably two opposite sides) of the inner body (1); at least one frame (5) provided at a front portion of the inner body (1); at least one door (3) controlling access to the inner body (1) through the frame (5); at least one hinge (4) for connecting the door (3) to said frame (5) and side panel (2) in a movable manner; at least one connecting surface (2a) on the side panel (2), which is suitable for connecting at least one portion of the frame (5) and the hinge (4) thereto, the cooking device (C) characterized by comprising: at least a first support bracket (6) suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a) on at least one side thereof, to the hinge (4) and frame (5) on at least one other side thereof, and to at least one lug (5a) on at least one other side thereof, wherein the lug (5a) is provided at an upper part of the frame (5); at least three fasteners (8), each for connecting the first support bracket (6) to the connecting surface (2a), and to the frame (5) or lug (5a) by means of the hinge (4).
2. A cooking device (C) according to claim 1 , characterized in that the first support bracket (6) is provided at a side of the frame (5) facing the inner body (1).
3. A cooking device (C) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that it comprises at least a second support bracket (7) suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a).
4. A cooking device (C) according to claim 3, characterized in that the second support bracket (7) is provided on a side of the connecting surface (2a) facing the inner body (1).

A cooking device (C) according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the second support bracket (7) is a plate extending along the connecting surface (2a).7A cooking device (C) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the first support bracket (6) comprises at least one top plate (6a) suitable for being connected to the lug (5a); at least a first front plate (6b) which extends downwardly from a front portion of the top plate (6a) and is suitable for being connected to said hinge (4) and frame (5); at least a second front plate (6c) which extends upwardly from the front portion of the top plate (6a) and is suitable for being connected to the connecting surface (2a). A cooking device (C) according to claim 6, characterized in that the first support bracket (6) comprises at least one rear plate (6e) extending downwardly from a rear portion of the top plate (6a). A cooking device (C) according to claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the first support bracket (6) comprises at least one connection hole (6f), each suitable for connecting at least one fastener (8) thereto. A cooking device (C) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the connecting surface (2a) comprises at least one connecting surface flexion (2b) on one side thereof farthest from the panel (2). A cooking device (C) according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the second support bracket (7) comprises at least one support bracket flexion (7a) on one side away from the side panel (2) and / or on one side closer to the side panel (2). A cooking device (C) according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that the first support bracket (6) comprises at least one recess (6d) at the top plate (6a).
