Description

[0001] Method and device for producing lamination stacks

[0002] The invention relates to a method and a device for producing lamination stacks.

[0003] The production of lamination stacks is particularly known for the production of iron cores for stators or rotors of generators or electric motors as well as for all devices in which an inductance is used by a coil wound around an iron core.

[0004] For this purpose, sheets are punched out according to a desired shape and combined into sheet lamination stacks, whereby the thickness of the sheet lamination stacks corresponds to a desired thickness of an iron core.

[0005] The shape of the iron cores is designed so that they can accommodate the necessary number of copper wire windings.

[0006] For the production of such lamination stacks, it is known, in particular, to feed a sheet metal strip made of electrical steel to a punching device and, in the punching device, to punch the sheet metal lamination in a single-stage or multi-stage punching process, or to punch the sheet metal lamination out of the steel strip. A plurality of these laminations are then placed on top of one another in alignment and joined to form the lamination stack.

[0007] In particular, it is known to coat the sheet metal strip with a heat-activatable polymer and to bond together a stack of punched sheet metal laminations produced in this way or produced therefrom by means of heat.

[0008] Such polymers are also called baking varnish and can be based on different synthetic resin compositions.

[0009] DE 10 2012 103 828 B4 discloses a punching and stacking device and a method for producing a laminated core. In this case, punched cores are punched from a sheet metal strip coated with a baking varnish and stacked one on top of the other beneath a final punching stage or in a stacking channel. The uppermost punched core is subjected to heat from a heating medium in the punching tool so that it bonds to the punched core located below it. Once a laminated core has been produced with bonded cores and is of sufficient height or thickness, the next punched core placed on top of it should not be bonded to the stack below it, but rather a new bonded stack should be formed so that stacks of the same height are always placed on top of one another and can be pulled downwards. The disadvantage of this device and method is that it is hardly feasible on a large scale. On the one hand, the bonding is not very reliable, and on the other hand, a stack of sheets underneath may still contain so much heat that the bonding varnish of a sheet placed above, which is not intended to be bonded, is activated, causing the stacks to stick together. This document also mentions other joining devices, such as a lowerable inductor and the like, but none of these devices are capable of achieving reliable bonding on the one hand and reliable separation of the stacks on the other.

[0010] DE 38 29 068 CI discloses a method for bonding electrical steel sheets provided with an insulating adhesive layer (baking varnish) and punched in an automatic machine. The individual punched parts are placed on top of one another and bonded together under the influence of heat and axial pressure. To reduce time and energy consumption, each individual punched part is heated to the reaction temperature of the baking varnish during depositing and then immediately pressed onto the previously deposited punched part. Once the stack is completed, it is cooled. The disadvantage of this method is that cycle times cannot be very high, since a cooling step is always required.

[0011] CH 703 721 A1 discloses a method for producing sheet metal stacks. In this method, a stack is formed from the sheet metal laminations in a tool cavity, with thermally curing adhesive layers provided between the sheet metal laminations. The sheet metal parts are then heated to cure the adhesive layers and form the sheet metal stack. The cavity has a contour that at least partially corresponds to the contour of the sheet metal parts. Due to the material contact between the tool forming the cavity and the sheet metal laminations, heat is introduced via the end face of the sheet metal laminations, which then leads to the sheet metal parts bonding together. The tool that forms the cavity is usually also called a brake sleeve because the diameter of the cavity is selected so that the sheet metal lamellas can only be moved through it against a certain amount of friction, so that a force from below and a counterforce from the punching die from above ensure that the sheet metal lamellas lie on top of one another in a form-fitting manner.

[0012] DE 10 2012 005 795 A1 discloses a lamination pack and a method for its production, wherein the lamination pack consists of punched laminations bonded with an adhesive. The adhesive is intended to consist of an adhesive and an initiator consisting of methacrylates and others. The fully cured adhesive bond is intended to be long-term stable at a temperature of at least above 80°C. The adhesive is applied to one side of the lamination, making full contact with the surface, and the initiator is applied to the same and / or the other side of the lamination. The initiator reacts with the adhesive upon contact and creates the adhesive bond between adjacent laminations. The adhesive can also be an adhesive that cures independently when heat is applied. Separation of the laminations is intended to be achieved by not applying an initiator in the event of separation of the laminations. The disadvantage of this method and device is that the structure is quite complex and complicated.

[0013] WO 2020 / 053230 A1 discloses a method and a device for joining sheet metal parts to form sheet metal stacks. Sheet metal parts are joined to form sheet metal stacks, wherein a sheet metal strip, the top and / or bottom of which has a curable polymeric adhesive layer, is continuously transported through an application device in which a fluid containing an activator is applied to the adhesive layer, the applied fluid dries, and the sheet metal strip coated with the dried activator is continuously fed to a strip accumulator. The sheet metal strip is fed from the strip accumulator to a clocked cutting device, in particular a punch, in which the sheet metal parts are cut from the sheet metal strip and stacked one on top of the other, and the cut and stacked sheet metal parts are joined to form sheet metal stacks by means of the adhesive layer coated with the activator. The punched sheet metal parts are stacked on top of each other in a column-shaped brake sleeve. The heatable inner wall of the brake sleeve has a slightly conical profile towards the bottom, so that the brake sleeve exerts resistance on the stacked sheet metal parts similar to a package brake. A wall section of the brake sleeve is heated by a heater, so that the sheet metal parts are heated above the curing temperature of the bonding varnish, and the sheet metal parts are joined together under heat and pressure. For this purpose, the brake sleeve is surrounded by a heater or has an internal heater, which heats the sheet metal parts in the line to a temperature above the crosslinking temperature of the applied bonding varnish, thus ensuring that the individual sheet metal parts are connected to sheet stacks via the cured bonding varnish layer between successive sheet metal parts.

[0014] The object of the invention is to provide a method by which laminated lamination packages can be produced with improved reliability.

[0015] The problem is solved by a method having the features of claim 1.

[0016] Advantageous further developments are indicated in the subclaims.

[0017] A further object is to create a device with which lamination packs can be connected to one another more reliably.

[0018] The problem is solved by a device having the features of claim 7.

[0019] Advantageous further developments are identified in the dependent subclaims.

[0020] The invention is based on a device and a method in which lamination packs are produced in a brake sleeve arranged below a final punching stage by baking, i.e., thermal activation of the baking varnish.

[0021] The inventors have recognized that in such devices, in which heat activation takes place by introducing heat via the end faces of the sheet metal laminations, reliable bonding of the sheet metal lamination packages does not always occur.

[0022] It has been found that this is particularly the case when the end surfaces of the sheet metal laminations are reduced due to the shape of the sheet metal laminations to such an extent that the heat conduction from the end face to the center of the sheet metal lamination is not sufficient, particularly within the given time, to reliably heat the bonding varnish over the entire surface or at least a desired area. This can be caused by the fact that the end surfaces suitable for possible heat conduction are reduced due to cutouts required for a subsequent copper winding. In addition, the brake sleeve according to the invention is heated using thermocouples, i.e. electrically. Although such heating systems generally function reliably, in the event of a failure, impaired bonding would not be immediately noticeable.

[0023] According to the invention, an additional heater is therefore provided. The additional heater according to the invention takes advantage of the fact that rotor and stator cores have a central axial through-hole for accommodating a motor shaft or the rotor (in the case of the stator).

[0024] On the other hand, the packages are removed from the underside of the brake sleeve or fall onto a conveyor belt, so that a permanently installed heater within the cavity inside the brake sleeve is not feasible.

[0025] According to the invention, an inductor device is therefore provided for retracting and retracting the hollow space between the stacked lamination packs located one above the other in the brake sleeve when a lamination pack is to be ejected, so as not to impede the ejection of the lamination packs. The retraction and extension of the inductor device is timed so that each lamination pack is heated at least once by the inductor device.

[0026] According to the invention, both the heating of the brake sleeve and the immersion depth of the inductor device from below into the lamination stack are coordinated with one another so that heating by the inductor device only takes place in the area in which heating by the brake sleeve also takes place. The heating of the brake sleeve and thus also the heating by the inductor device is carried out at a distance from the punching die that is at least large enough to prevent accidental heating of the punching device or premature activation of the baked enamel in the punching die area. In addition, the dimensional accuracy of the individual laminations and thus also of the finished stacks can be further improved because no thermal expansion is introduced. In particular, areas of the punching device that are also subject to lubrication should not be heated in order to prevent the lubricant from heating up.This is particularly important to ensure that heating occurs where the lamination stacks are subjected to sufficient pressure to ensure reliable bonding. The distance to the punching die is, for example, 100 to 150 mm, although this distance also depends on the tools. Instead of an inductor device, a suitable heat radiator can also be used. Internal heating can also be achieved alternatively or additionally via a hot blown-in fluid.

[0027] The desired separation of the lamination packs is achieved by placing a so-called puck on top of the brake sleeve after the desired number of punched sheets have been placed in the brake sleeve. The puck is a metal or plastic disc which is coated or made of a material such that it does not stick to the lamination above or below it when the bonding varnish is activated. After the lamination packs have been removed, the pucks fall out of the brake sleeve and can be collected and returned. The pucks have at least one axial recess which is dimensioned such that the inductor device can also be guided through the puck.

[0028] The inductor device is advantageously timed so that it moves into the brake sleeve immediately after a finished disc pack (with pucks) has been ejected downwards from the brake sleeve and guided away, and with a sufficient time interval before the next disc pack is ejected.

[0029] The inductor device can be active during retraction or can be activated during the retraction process.

[0030] Advantageously, the inductor device is already active before the upper peak of the immersion movement is reached.

[0031] The inductor device is advantageously controlled so that it is inactive in its lowest rest position. Furthermore, the inductor device is advantageously switched off when leaving the brake sleeve and after extending from the last disc pack.

[0032] Depending on the speed of the punch and the number of lamination packs, the lamination packs are heated at least once with the inductor device, but can also be heated several times without being damaged.

[0033] The invention is advantageous in that it achieves simple, uncomplicated and very reliable bonding of lamination stacks. The invention therefore relates in particular to a method for punching and stacking lamination stacks coated with a baking varnish, wherein a brake sleeve is provided in which the laminations of the lamination stacks lie one on top of the other and have their end faces abutting the inside of the brake sleeve and are exposed to heat from the brake sleeve via the end faces of the laminations, so that the baking varnish, which bonds the laminations together, is thermally activated, characterized in that a further device for heating the lamination stacks is arranged at least temporarily in an axial channel formed by the lamination stacks in order to additionally heat the lamination stacks.

[0034] A further development provides for the use of an inductor device as a device for heating the lamination packs.

[0035] A further development provides for the use of a radiant heating device as a device for heating the sheet metal lamination packages.

[0036] A further development provides that a hot heating fluid is used as a device for heating the lamination packs, which is blown into the channel formed by the lamination packs.

[0037] A further development provides that a pressure ring acting from the outlet of the brake sleeve onto the stack of sheet metal laminations is used as a counter bearing for a punching punch, wherein the pressure ring is moved away from the outlet with a sheet metal lamination stack ejected from the brake sleeve in order to carry out a lateral discharge of the ejected sheet metal lamination stack and, after the discharge of the ejected sheet metal lamination stack, is moved back into the brake sleeve and brings about a mechanical contact with the lowest sheet metal lamination stack.

[0038] Sheet metal lamination stack (14) in the sense of the invention describes a stack of individual sheet metal laminations which are not yet or at least not yet completely glued or baked.

[0039] Laminated sheet package (15) in the sense of the invention refers to fully bonded packages.

[0040] A further development provides that in order to convey out a lamination stack to be ejected, still consisting of individual, unbonded laminations (14), the inductor device (11) or radiant heating device is extended downwards from the channel (16) out of the outlet (4). In a further aspect, the invention relates to a device for punching and stacking laminations coated with a baking varnish into lamination stacks, comprising a brake sleeve with an axial stacking channel for receiving laminations, wherein the brake sleeve is heated in order to release heat for activating the baking varnish via the end faces of the laminations into the laminations, wherein a further device for heating the laminations and lamination stacks is arranged at least temporarily in an axial channel formed by the lamination stacks in order to additionally heat the lamination stacks.

[0041] A further development provides for an inductor device to be provided as a device for heating the lamination packs.

[0042] A further development provides for a radiant heating device to be provided as a device for heating the sheet metal lamination packages.

[0043] A further development provides that an injection device for a hot heating fluid is provided as a device for heating the lamination packs, which is arranged in such a way that it injects a hot fluid from an outlet of the brake sleeve into the channel formed by the lamination packs.

[0044] A further development provides that a slide is arranged below the outlet, which is displaceable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve and is arranged in particular directly below the outlet of the brake sleeve, wherein in the rest position of the slide it is retracted so far that it does not protrude into the area of the stacking channel.

[0045] A further development provides that the punching package device has a pressure ring which can be moved according to the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve and which has an outer diameter which corresponds to the inner diameter of the brake sleeve or the stacking channel or is slightly smaller, so that it can be moved completely into the stacking channel, in particular up to the inlet (3).

[0046] A further development provides that the inductor device is at least partially cylindrical and has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the pressure ring, so that the inductor device is movable by the pressure ring, so that the inductor device is concentric with the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve and can be inserted into the brake sleeve through the pressure ring. A further development provides that the pressure ring and the inductor device or the radiant heating device are movable independently of one another, with both being actuated via a corresponding mechanism with electrical actuators.

[0047] The invention is explained by way of example with the aid of a drawing. It shows:

[0048] Fig. 1: highly schematic plan view of a heated brake sleeve with sheet metal lamellas in it and the corresponding section along the line AA with the inductor device retracted into the brake sleeve;

[0049] Fig. 2: highly schematic plan view of a heated brake sleeve with sheet metal lamellas in it and the corresponding section along the line BB with the inductor device extended from the brake sleeve;

[0050] Fig. 3: highly schematic plan view of a heated brake sleeve with sheet metal plates therein and the corresponding section along the line CC with the inductor device extended from the brake sleeve and disk for displacing an ejected plate pack with the displaced plate pack;

[0051] Fig. 4: highly schematic plan view of a heated brake sleeve with sheet metal lamellas in it and the corresponding section along the line DD with the inductor device extended from the brake sleeve and the slide retracted.

[0052] According to the invention, a punching stacking device 1 is provided which has a brake sleeve 2. The brake sleeve 2 is, in particular, cylindrical with a round cross-section and has an inlet 3 and an outlet 4. The hollow cylindrical stacking channel 5 is formed between the inlet 3 and the outlet 4. Outside a cylindrical wall 6 of the brake sleeve, thermocouples 7 are arranged distributed around the circumference as heating elements, with one surface of said thermocouples resting against the outer circumferential surface of the jacket wall of the wall 6 of the brake sleeve.

[0053] A slide 8 is arranged below the outlet 4, which is displaceable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve 2 and is arranged in particular directly below the outlet 4 of the brake sleeve 2. In a rest position of the slide 8, shown in Figure 1, the slide is retracted far enough that it does not protrude into the area of the stacking channel 5. In addition, the punching and stacking device has a pressure ring 10 that can be moved according to the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve 2 and has an outer diameter that corresponds to the inner diameter of the brake sleeve or is slightly smaller, so that it can be retracted completely into the stacking channel 5, in particular up to the inlet 3.

[0054] In addition, the punching and packing device 1 has an inductor device 11, which is shown in simplified form as a cylinder in the figures. As already explained, the inductor device 11 is, for example, cylindrical and has an outer diameter that is smaller than the inner diameter of the pressure ring 10, so that the inductor device can be moved by the pressure ring. Otherwise, the inductor device 11 is arranged concentrically with the longitudinal axis of the brake sleeve 2 and can be inserted into the brake sleeve 2, in particular, through the pressure ring 10 (Figure 1).

[0055] Within the brake sleeve 2, and in particular within the stacking channel 5, a plurality of lamination stacks 14 are arranged in succession. These stacks are formed from individual laminations that lie one on top of the other (not shown). So-called "puks" 9 serve as spacer elements between the lamination stacks 14.

[0056] The lamination stacks 14 are typically designed in a flat, ring-like manner and accordingly have a central recess axial or concentric with the brake sleeve 2. Accordingly, all concentric recesses form a channel 16 with an inner diameter that is larger or slightly larger than the outer diameter of the inductor device 11.

[0057] The pressure ring 10 and the inductor device 11 can be moved independently of each other, but their movements are coordinated with each other. In particular, the two elements can be actuated via a corresponding mechanism with electric actuators (not shown).

[0058] The pressure ring 10 has, as can be seen in Figures 1 and 4, the task of exerting pressure on the sheet metal lamination stacks 14 from below, i.e. on the outlet side, wherein the pressure on the inlet side is created by the punching punch of a punching device (not shown) arranging the punched sheet metal laminations on already punched sheet metal laminations arranged underneath or on a puck arranged underneath with pressure.

[0059] The inner diameter of the brake sleeve 2 is dimensioned such that it is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the punched packages, so that the latter are moved from the inlet to the outlet with friction, but in any case with a positive connection within the brake sleeve 2. This positive connection holds the packages until they come out of the brake sleeve in the area of the outlet and are, so to speak, pushed out by the punching stroke of the punching device. In order to be able to subsequently process the lamination packages 15 further, the pressure ring 10 is controlled such that, as soon as the ejection of a lamination package 15 is imminent, it moves slightly downwards, i.e. away from the outlet 4, or moves downwards together with an ejected lamination package 15, receiving it.

[0060] The inductor device 11 (Figure 1), previously located in the channel 16 formed by the lamination stacks 14, also moves out of the channel 16 in the direction of arrow 17 (Figure 2), preferably such that a brake sleeve-side, in particular flat, surface 12 is flush with an outlet-side surface 13 of the pressure ring 10. This forms a support surface onto which the ejected lamination stack 15 can fall or rest. This lamination stack 15 is then (Figure 3) pushed out laterally by the slider 8 in the direction of arrow 18 and pushed in particular onto a conveyor belt (not shown). The corresponding pucks 9, if they have fallen out with the lamination stack 15, are then pushed onto a conveyor belt or other conveying device.

[0061] The working method and procedure are explained below.

[0062] Initially, the pressure ring 10 is fully retracted into the stacking channel 5 up to the inlet 3 to form a support for a first punched-out lamella. Subsequently, the punching device arranged above the inlet 3, which can also be designed in several stages (not shown), begins punching out the corresponding lamellas. In the final punching stage, the punch moves the lamella into the stacking channel 5 of the brake sleeve 2 and presses it in. To prevent the lamellas from tilting or jamming, they, and in particular the first lamella, rest on the pressure ring 10.

[0063] Once a sufficient number of slats have been punched to form a complete lamination stack 15, a puck 9 is inserted. This puck is a sheet metal or plastic element with a surface such that the baked enamel coating the laminations cannot bond to this puck 9. If necessary, a puck is also first placed on the pressure ring 10 to prevent the lowest lamination stack 14, or the lowest lamination resting on the pressure ring 10, from sticking to the pressure ring 10. Subsequently, a further number of lamination stacks 14 with pucks 9 in between are formed until the pressure ring 10 reaches the area of the outlet 4.The pressure ring 10 is now pressed downwards by the following lamellae, which are pressed from above into the inlet 3 into the stacking channel 5, and can then move downwards so that the finished lamination stacks 15 can fall onto it or be guided downwards with the pressure ring 10 (Figure 2).

[0064] While the lamellae are pressed into sheet metal lamella stacks 14 and are then baked together by heating by the thermocouples 7 and by activating the baking varnish, the inductor device 11, as can be seen in Figure 1, is completely inserted into the brake sleeve 2 and thus into the channel 16 formed by the lamella packs, but at a distance from the inlet 3.

[0065] Before a finished plate pack 15 is conveyed out of the brake sleeve 2, the inductor device 11 moves completely downwards in the direction of the arrow 17 to the level of the pressure ring 10 and forms a common surface or support surface with the latter, so that the finished, ejected plate pack 15 can rest thereon.

[0066] At the moment the lamination stack 15 is conveyed out of the brake sleeve 2 on the pressure ring and resting thereon, this lamination stack 15 is pushed laterally out of the area below the brake sleeve 2 and onto the pressure ring 10 and the inductor device 11 by the slider 8 in the direction of arrow 18 in Figure 3, together with the pucks 9, so that they can be conveyed away on a conveyor belt. The slider 8 then returns to its starting position (Figure 4).

[0067] The pressure ring 10 is brought back into contact with the lowest lamination stack 14 and then the inductor device 11 moves back into the channel 16 formed by the lamination stack 14 in accordance with the direction of the arrow 19 in Figure 4 and is switched on at the same time or even before.

[0068] The inductor device 11 preferably maintains a certain distance from the punching device (not shown) arranged above the brake sleeve 2 and from the inlet 3 to ensure that no undesirable heating occurs in the punching area and in the inlet area, for example to prevent excessive heat from being applied to lubricants or the like. The distance can be between 10 and 15 cm, as already explained. The inductor device 11 can be switched on when moving into the channel 16 and switched off again when moving out, but the inductor device 11 can also be in operation the entire time. Instead of an inductor device 11, a radiant heater can also be provided, in which a suitably designed heater is introduced into the channel 16. Additionally or alternatively, heating by blowing in a hot fluid is also possible.

[0069] The invention is advantageous in that a device is created with which the lamination stacks 14 are reliably heated by the brake sleeve 2 from the outside and the inductor device 11 from the inside in such a way that a reliable baking of the baking varnish and thus of the lamination stacks 15 is ensured.
