Abstract
Description
[0001] Medical punch tip, surgical instrument and procedure
[0002] The present invention relates to a medical punch tip for an actuating device, a surgical instrument and a method for releasing a medical punch tip from an actuating device.
[0003] In some medical procedures, surgical instruments are used to remove or harvest bone, cartilage, or other tissue. Such instruments typically have an elongated shaft with a medical tool attached to the distal end (i.e., end facing away from the user). A mechanism at the proximal end (i.e., end facing the user) of the shaft allows the user to activate the tool, such as a punch.
[0004] Because such punches quickly become blunt during a medical procedure or are required in different sizes, surgical instruments with interchangeable punch tips have been developed. Depending on the need, the desired or "fresh" punch tips can be attached one after the other to a single actuating device, which is held by the user and has the mechanism for actuating the tool at the proximal end.
[0005] These punching tips usually comprise a first tip part and a separate second tip part. The first tip part has a cutting plate, also known as an "anvil", at a distal end, i.e. end facing away from the user or the actuating device. A U-shaped cutting edge at the distal end of the second tip part cuts against this cutting plate when the two tip parts are moved longitudinally relative to one another. The first tip part is usually fastened to a base body of the actuating device in a first fastening step. The second tip part is fastened separately in a second fastening step to a carriage that can be moved relative to the base body.
[0006] However, given the stress and time constraints typically associated with such medical procedures, this type of attachment of the tip components has proven too complex. There is also a risk of attempts to install the tip components incorrectly, such as upside down, or even accidentally swapping the tip components.
[0007] Against this background, it is an object of the present invention to improve the user-friendliness in the handling of a surgical punching instrument or at least parts thereof.
[0008] This object is achieved by a medical punch tip, a surgical instrument and a method for releasing a medical punch tip from an actuating device according to the independent claims.
[0009] Preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims and the following description.
[0010] A first aspect of the invention relates to a medical punching tip for an actuating device. The punching tip has a first tip part and a second tip part mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the first tip part. According to the invention, the second tip part is permanently connected to the first tip part without the use of tools. One aspect of the invention is based on the approach of providing a permanently connected, tool-free connection between two tip parts of a medical punching tip, which can be fastened to, i.e. connected to, a corresponding actuating device.Unlike conventional punching tips, in which tip parts can be attached to and / or detached from such an actuating device independently of one another, the punching tip according to the invention can allow a particularly quick and low-cost tool tip change, in particular because the two tip parts can only be attached to and / or detached from the actuating device together due to the non-detachable connection without the need for tools. For example, the punching tip can be attached to and / or detached from the actuating device with very few manual steps. Thus, due to the non-detachable connection without the need for tools, attaching and / or detaching the first tip part to or from the actuating device, for example a base body of the fastening device, can bring about a corresponding attachment or detachment of the second tip part to or from the actuating device, in particular a carriage of the actuating device.Conversely, attaching and / or detaching the second tip part to or from the actuating device can also cause a corresponding attachment or detachment of the first tip part to or from the actuating device. This can be particularly advantageous during a medical procedure, given the sterile conditions required and the stress associated with such a procedure.
[0011] The permanent, tool-free connection of the two tip parts also allows for improved handling during cleaning and / or sterilization of the punch tip. In particular, this eliminates the risk of losing one of the two tip parts. At the same time, the permanent connection of the tip parts reduces storage costs and, if necessary, also the space required.
[0012] The tool-free, permanent connection can also help prevent the punching tip from being incorrectly attached, for example, upside down, to an actuating device. In particular, such permanently connected tip parts can prevent the tip parts from being mixed up.
[0013] During the development of the punch tip according to the invention, it was particularly discovered that two tip parts that are permanently connected to one another without the use of tools, but are mounted so that they can be moved longitudinally relative to one another, can be effectively and thoroughly cleaned and / or sterilized. Tests have surprisingly shown that cleaning fluid can, for example, also penetrate into a positive connection between the tip parts, i.e. into the corresponding gaps between the two tip parts. In addition, the longitudinal displacement of the two tip parts relative to one another means that different sections of the punch tip can be exposed again and again, so that overall a level of purity and / or sterility of the punch tip that satisfies the requirements of medical use can be achieved.
[0014] Preferred embodiments of the invention and further developments thereof are described below, which, unless expressly excluded, can be combined with one another as desired and with the aspects of the invention described below.
[0015] In some preferred embodiments, the first tip part has a first fastening section for fastening the first tip part to a base body of the actuating device, in particular in a way that can be released without tools and is preferably positively connected. Alternatively or additionally, the second tip part has a second fastening section for fastening the second tip part to a carriage of the actuating device, in particular in a way that can be released without tools and is preferably positively connected. The carriage is expediently fastened to the base body so that it can be moved longitudinally relative to the base body by actuating the actuating device. The second punching tip is therefore also longitudinally displaceable relative to the first punching tip.
[0016] For example, the first tip part can have a first fastening section, which can be received in particular in a form-fitting manner by the base body, for example in a base body fastening section, for example in a corresponding base body recess. Alternatively or additionally, the second tip part can have a second fastening section, which can be received in particular in a form-fitting manner by the carriage, for example in a carriage fastening section, for example in a corresponding carriage recess. With the help of such fastening sections, separate and / or additional fastening mechanisms, which may require additional components and could be activated unintentionally, can be dispensed with.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the first fastening section and the second fastening section have, at least in sections and substantially, the same contour. In other words, the first tip part in the first fastening section and the second tip part in the second fastening section are preferably designed such that they have, at least in sections and from a predetermined viewing angle, the same outline. The first and second fastening sections do not necessarily have to have the same dimensions. In particular, it is conceivable for the first fastening section to be smaller, in particular narrower, at least in sections, than the second fastening section. The identical contouring of the two fastening sections allows simple and intuitive handling of the punching tip, in particular when releasing it from an actuating device. The fastening sections can be brought into alignment by the same contouring and can thus be removed from a corresponding recess in the actuating device.
[0018] In this respect, it is preferred that, in order to release the punching tip from the actuating device without the use of tools, the second tip part can be brought into a release position by longitudinal displacement relative to the first tip part. The contour of the second fastening section is preferably aligned with the contour of the first fastening section, at least in sections and substantially. This allows, for example, the first fastening section to be removed together with the second fastening section from a recess formed in the actuating device. In particular, the first fastening section can thus be guided through a carriage fastening section of the carriage, which is actually designed to positively receive the second fastening section.
[0019] For the purposes of the invention, two components or their contours are in particular already aligned at least in sections and substantially when the essential features of the components or contours, such as corners or edges or other distinctive shapes, are aligned with one another. Alignment is therefore not to be understood as absolute congruence. Rather, it can be understood as a position of two components relative to one another in which the components or their contours, in particular their distinctive sections, correspond to one another. In this respect, two components or their contours can be aligned at least in sections and substantially even if one component is slightly larger than the other component.
[0020] At least partial alignment of the contours of the first fastening section and the second fastening section is possible, for example, if the first tip part has an upper side facing the second tip part with a flat first sliding surface. Accordingly, the second tip part can have an underside facing the first tip part with a flat second sliding surface, with which the second tip part slides along the first tip part during a longitudinal displacement, for example, until the release position is reached. This can facilitate the smooth operation of the punching tip.
[0021] In order, for example, to prevent the first tip part from being detached from the base body by the slide fastening section, it is preferred that the first sliding surface and the second sliding surface are shaped identically, at least in sections. A similar shape can be understood here in particular as a shape of the two sliding surfaces in which the sliding surfaces have the same shape. Identical dimensioning, i.e. the same dimensions, is not absolutely necessary. In particular, the first sliding surface can be smaller than the second sliding surface. Sliding surfaces designed in this way can ensure that the contours of the two fastening sections are identical. In a further preferred embodiment, the first tip part has a first projection which adjoins a proximal end of the first tip part in a longitudinal direction.Alternatively or additionally, the second fastening section has a second projection that extends longitudinally from a proximal end of the second tip part. Such projections enable a particularly robust connection between the tool tip and the actuating device. In particular, this prevents the punch tip from falling out of the actuating device during use when the actuating device is rotated 180° about its longitudinal axis. Furthermore, the tool tip can be connected to the actuating device without the formation of steps.
[0022] The first projection expediently has an upper side with a flat upper surface. Alternatively or additionally, the second projection has a lower side with a flat lower surface. Preferably, the lower surface is aligned substantially parallel to the upper side. With such a configuration of the first and second projections, smooth actuation of the tool tip can be ensured.
[0023] A particularly secure and positive fastening of the tool tip to the actuating device can be achieved in that the first and second projection preferably each have side walls which run substantially perpendicular to the top surface and to the bottom surface and are of similarly uneven design.
[0024] For example, the first tip part in the first fastening section can have an upper side with an upper side surface and a first bulge which runs transversely to a surface normal of the upper side surface. Alternatively or additionally, the second tip part in the second fastening section can have a lower side with a lower side surface facing the upper side surface and a second bulge which runs transversely to a surface normal of the lower side surface and is shaped identically to the first bulge. Here too, a similar shape can be understood in particular to mean that the formations have the same shape, for example the same contour. However, the bulges do not necessarily have to be the same size. The bulges allow a positive fastening to the actuating device, in particular a gripping behind by the base body fastening section or the slide fastening section. With the help of the similar bulges, the punching tip can also be reliably removed from the actuating device. If these are arranged essentially in alignment with one another, it is also possible to guide the first fastening section through a recess in the slide – in which the second fastening section is arranged during operation.
[0025] Advantageously, the first tip part and / or the second tip part each have a convex curvature in the region of the first or second bulge. This allows, in particular, the slide in the slide fastening section to be bent upwards when pushed onto the second tip part, so that the second fastening section can slide into the slide and a part of the slide fastening section can engage behind the second bulge.
[0026] In a further preferred embodiment, the first tip part has a first step in the first fastening section. The step preferably serves as a stop for the second tip part during a longitudinal displacement. In other words, the step can limit the displacement path of the second tip part. In particular, the step can be used to prevent the second tip part from being completely removed from the first tip part due to longitudinal displacement. In this respect, the first step preferably represents a means - which is simple to manufacture and reliable - for the tool-free, permanent connection of the first and second tip parts.
[0027] It is expedient for the first step to be located at a proximal end of the first fastening section, i.e., the end facing a user when connected to the actuating device or during use. This allows the displacement path to be maximized.
[0028] To enable alignment of the contours of the first and second fastening sections in the release position, it is preferred that the second tip part in the second fastening section has a second step corresponding to the first step. The second step is expediently provided, for example, designed, such that a proximal end of the first fastening section is substantially aligned with a proximal end of the second fastening section when the second tip part abuts the first step.
[0029] The first and second stages are expediently configured not only for transferring the second tip part into the release position. Rather, it is preferred that the first and second stages additionally or at least alternatively form a centering device. Expediently, a centering device is generally provided which is configured to align the second tip part relative to the first tip part when the second tip part is brought into the release position for release from the actuating device by longitudinal displacement relative to the first tip part.
[0030] This makes it significantly easier to release the punching tip from the actuating device. In particular, it can at least reduce any lateral play between the second tip part and the first tip part.
[0031] Reliable and precise centering of the second tip part relative to the first tip part can be achieved, for example, by designing the first step in a disc shape. The second step is expediently designed with a correspondingly curved edge. When the first and second steps are brought into contact, the second tip part is thus automatically aligned with the first step.
[0032] In a further preferred embodiment, the second fastening section projects laterally on both sides beyond the first fastening section, transversely to a longitudinal extension of the punching tip. In other words, the first tip part in the first fastening section is narrower than the second tip part in the second fastening section. This ensures that only the first tip part can be fastened to the base body, but not the second tip part. This can in particular prevent the punching tip from being incorrectly fastened, in particular upside down, to the actuating device, i.e. the second tip part is fastened to the base body.
[0033] As an alternative to the different dimensions, in particular width, of the first and second fastening sections, other means for preventing incorrect fastening are also conceivable. For example, the first tip part can have a groove on a side opposite the second tip part for receiving a guide rail of the base body. As a result, the first and second fastening sections can only be fully received by the actuating device if the groove faces the guide rail. In this respect, the tool tip can in some embodiments be designed quite generally to prevent incorrect fastening to the actuating device.
[0034] In another preferred embodiment, the punch tip is designed as a sterile disposable tool. This can significantly simplify logistics, for example, in a hospital, since the tool tip does not need to be sterilized after use. Furthermore, new and therefore sharp tool tips can always be provided. Furthermore, the assured sterility of such a disposable tool can increase patient safety.
[0035] Alternatively, it is also possible for the punch tip to be reusable, i.e., particularly cleanable and / or sterilizable. This may reduce procurement effort and / or costs.
[0036] A second aspect of the invention relates to a surgical instrument with a medical punch tip according to the first aspect of the invention and an actuating device for actuating the punch tip. Such an instrument is easy and safe to operate, particularly due to the permanent connection of the first and second tip parts. The reusability of at least the actuating device also allows for savings in raw material, storage space, and energy. In this respect, the instrument is particularly environmentally friendly and cost-effective.A third aspect of the invention relates to a method for releasing a medical punch tip, in particular according to the first aspect of the invention, from an actuating device having a base body to which a first tip part of the punch tip is fastened, and a carriage which is fastened to the base body so as to be longitudinally displaceable and to which a second tip part of the punch tip is fastened, which second tip part is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the first tip part and is thus permanently connected without tools. In the method, the second tip part is brought into a release position relative to the first tip part by longitudinally displacing the carriage relative to the base body and the punch tip is then pulled laterally away from the actuating device. In other words, after the release position has been established, the first and second tip parts are pulled laterally away from the actuating device together. The first fastening section of the first tip part is expediently guided from the base body fastening section of the base body through the carriage fastening section of the carriage.
[0037] A lateral withdrawal within the meaning of the invention can be a withdrawal transverse to a longitudinal extension of the punching tip and / or the actuating device, i.e., in particular transverse to the direction of movement of the second tip part during a longitudinal displacement relative to the first tip part. For example, during a lateral withdrawal, the fastening sections of the first and second tip parts can be pulled out of the actuating device, in particular from the base body and the carriage.
[0038] This procedure allows for rapid replacement of the punch tip, even under stressful and sterile conditions, for example, in the operating room. This enables shorter operating times. It also prevents individual parts of the punch tip from becoming detached and potentially lost.
[0039] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to figures. Where appropriate, elements with the same effect are provided with the same reference numerals. The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown in the figures - not even with regard to functional features. The previous description as well as the following description of the figures contain numerous features, some of which are summarized in the dependent claims. However, a person skilled in the art will also consider these features, as well as all other features disclosed above and in the following description of the figures, individually and combine them to form further useful combinations. In particular, all of the features mentioned can be combined individually and in any suitable combination with the medical punch tip according to the first aspect of the invention, the surgical instrument according to the second aspect of the invention and the method according to the third aspect of the invention.
[0040] They show, at least partly schematically:
[0041] Fig. 1 shows an example of a surgical instrument;
[0042] Fig. 2 Components of the surgical instrument from Figure 1;
[0043] Fig. 3 an example of a medical punch tip in a
[0044] Side view; Fig. 4 shows the medical punch tip from Figure 3 in disassembled form;
[0045] Fig. 5 shows the medical punch tip from Fig. 3 in a plan view;
[0046] Fig. 6 shows an example of a distal end of an actuating device in a sectional view; and
[0047] Fig. 7 shows an example of a method for releasing a medical punch tip from an actuating device.
[0048] Figure 1 shows an example of a surgical instrument 1 with a medical punch tip 10 and an actuating device 100. The punch tip 10 has a first tip part 20 and a second tip part 30 mounted for longitudinal displacement on the first tip part 20. The actuating device 100 has a base body 120 and a carriage 130 fastened to the base body 120 for longitudinal displacement, at least in sections. The longitudinal displacement of the carriage 130 relative to the base body 120 can be triggered, for example, by means of an actuating mechanism 110.
[0049] At a proximal end, i.e., the end facing a user during use of the instrument 1, the actuating device 100 preferably has a handle 140. It is expedient for the handle 140 to be formed by the base body 120. Another part of the base body 120, together with a corresponding section of the slide 130, forms a shaft 150.
[0050] The punching tip 10 is arranged at a distal end of the actuating device 100, in particular of the shaft 150, i.e. at the end facing away from the user when the surgical instrument 1 is in use. The punching tip 10 is replaceable (see Figure 2) and, in the present illustration, is connected to the actuating device 100 in a ready-to-use manner. For this purpose, the first tip part 20 is expediently fastened to the base body 120 and the second tip part 30 is fastened to the slide 130. For example, due to a shorter design of the second tip part 30 compared to the first tip part 20, the slide 130 projects beyond the base body 120 in this actuating position at the distal end of the actuating device 100.
[0051] When the actuating mechanism 110 is triggered, in particular by pulling a trigger lever 111, the carriage 130 moves relative to the base body 120 toward the distal end. By connecting the carriage 130 to the second tip part 30, the punching tip 10 can thus be actuated.
[0052] Figure 2 shows assemblies of the surgical instrument 1 from Figure 1, namely in particular the actuating device 100 and the punch tip 10 detached therefrom. This shows a first fastening section 21 of the first tip part 20 and a second fastening section 31 of the second tip part 30. The second tip part 30 is located relative to the first tip part 20 in a release position in which the punch tip 10 can be detached from the actuating device 100. In this release position, the proximal ends of the first and second tip parts 20, 30 and / or contours of the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 are expediently aligned with one another at least in sections and substantially.
[0053] Likewise, the carriage 130 is also located relative to the base body 120 in a release position in which the punching tip 10 can be released from the actuating device 100. In this case, the distal ends of the base body 120 and the carriage 130 are expediently at least substantially aligned with one another.
[0054] The fastening sections 21, 31 expediently serve to fasten the first and second tip parts 20, 30 to the base body 120 and the carriage 130, respectively. For fastening to the base body 120, the first fastening section 21 can preferably be inserted into a base body fastening section 121 at the distal end of the base body. In other words, the base body 120 is expediently configured in the base body fastening section 121 to receive the first fastening section 21, in particular in a form-fitting manner.
[0055] It is expedient that the base body fastening section 121 is only accessible in the release position of the slide 130 for the first fastening section 21. In this respect, it is preferred that the slide 130 secures the first fastening section 21 in the base body fastening section 121 in at least one operating position. Such an operating position is expediently present when the slide 130 protrudes beyond the base body 120, in particular the base body fastening section 121, at the distal end, as in the operational state of the surgical instrument 1 shown in Figure 1.
[0056] The second fastening section 31 can preferably be inserted into a carriage fastening section 131 at the distal end of the carriage 130 in order to fasten the second tip part 30 to the carriage 130. In other words, the carriage 130 is expediently designed in the carriage fastening section 131 to receive the second fastening section 31, in particular in a form-fitting manner. The carriage fastening section 131 can be designed to be pushed onto, in particular to snap into, the second fastening section 31. A connection between the carriage 130 and the second tip part 30 can preferably be established simply by longitudinally displacing the carriage 130 relative to the base body 120, i.e. by actuating the actuating mechanism 110.
[0057] In the release position, the carriage 130 is expediently lifted from the base body 120, as shown in Figure 2. This can not only facilitate the detachment and attachment of the first tip part 20 from or to the base body 120, but also cleaning or sterilization of the actuating device 100. Therefore, the attachment position can also be referred to as the cleaning or sterilization position. The actuating device 100 can be brought from the ready-to-use state shown in Figure 1 into the release position, for example by releasing a lock of the actuating mechanism 110 and manually pulling the carriage 130 relative to the base body 120 towards the proximal end. To release the lock, a corresponding actuating element 112 is expediently provided on the carriage 130.
[0058] Figure 3 shows an example of a medical punch tip 10 in a side view. The punch tip 10 has a first tip part 20 and a second tip part 30 mounted longitudinally displaceably on the first tip part 20. The first and second tip parts 20, 30 are expediently connected to one another in a non-detachable manner without the use of tools.
[0059] The first tip part 20 has a first fastening section 21 and the second tip part 30 has a second fastening section 31, each of which is designed for fastening to a base body or carriage of an actuating device (see
[0060] Figures 1 and 2 ) are set up .
[0061] The first fastening section 21 and the second fastening section 31 are expediently designed, in particular arranged or can be arranged by longitudinal displacement of the first and second tip parts 20, 30 relative to one another, such that first the first fastening section 21 can be fastened to the base body and subsequently the second fastening section 31 can be fastened to the carriage. In other words, the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 can be designed, in particular arranged or can be arranged, such that a two-stage fastening of the punching tip 10 to the actuating device is possible. For example, first the first fastening section 21 can be hooked into a base body fastening section of the base body, whereupon a carriage fastening section of the carriage can be pushed onto the second fastening section 31 by longitudinal displacement relative to the base body.In particular, by fastening the first fastening section 21 to the base body, the second fastening section 31 can be positioned and / or held in such a way as to enable or at least simplify the establishment of a connection between the second fastening section 31 and the carriage.
[0062] For two-stage fastening to the actuating device, the fastening sections 21, 31 can, for example, be spaced apart from one another, in particular in a longitudinal direction of the punching tip 10, or can be spaced apart by longitudinal displacement. Such an arrangement can be made possible in a simple manner in that the second tip part 30 is shorter than the first tip part 20 and can therefore be moved away from the proximal end of the first tip part 20. Alternatively or additionally, the first fastening section 21 and the second fastening section 31 are designed, in particular arranged, or can be arranged by longitudinal displacement of the first and second tip parts 20, 30 relative to one another in such a way that the first and second tip parts 20, 30 can be detached from the base body and the carriage at the same time.In other words, the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 can be designed, in particular arranged or arrangeable, in such a way that a one-step release of the punching tip 10 from the actuating device is possible. Such an arrangement of the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 is shown in Figure 2. For this purpose, the second tip part 30 is expediently longitudinally displaceable relative to the first tip part 20 towards the proximal end such that the proximal end of the second fastening section 31 is substantially aligned with the proximal end of the first fastening section 21.
[0063] Figure 4 shows the punching tip 10 from Figure 3 in disassembled form. This shows a possible embodiment of the first and second fastening sections 21, 31. The first fastening section 21 and the second fastening section 31 can each have a first or second projection 22, 32 which adjoins a proximal end 23, 33 of the respective tip part 20, 30 in a longitudinal direction. In particular, the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 can be defined by the respective projection 22, 32. The projections 22, 32 are expediently shaped in such a way that they can be received in a form-fitting and tight manner by the base body in the base body fastening section or by the slide in the slide fastening section. To enable smooth actuation of the punching tip 10, it is expedient for the first tip part 20, in particular the first fastening section 21, to have an upper side 24 with a flat upper side surface 25. The upper side 24 expediently faces a lower side 34 of the second tip part 30, in particular the second fastening section 31. The lower side 34 expediently has a flat lower side surface 35.
[0064] It is preferred that the top surface 25 and the bottom surface 35 expediently run parallel to one another. Figure 4 shows the corresponding surface normals 25a, 35a of the top surface 25 and the bottom surface 35, respectively.
[0065] Optionally, the first tip part 20 has a first step 28 in the first fastening section 21. The first step 28 is preferably arranged at the proximal end of the first fastening section 21. Expediently, the first step 28 is arranged on a side facing the second tip part 30, in particular on the upper side 24. For example, the step 28 can rise from the upper side surface 25. In other words, the step 28 can be designed as a projection on the upper side 24. With the help of the first step 28, a displacement path of the second tip part 30 can be limited. In this respect, the step 28 can serve as a stop for the second tip part 30. With the help of the step 28, it can be prevented in particular that the second tip part 30 is pulled out of a guide of the first tip part 20 towards its proximal end 33. In this respect, the step 28 can contribute to the tool-free, permanent connection of the two tip parts 20, 30.Alternatively or additionally, the second tip part 30 has a second step 38 in the second fastening section 31. The second step 38 is preferably arranged at the proximal end of the second fastening section 31. The second step 38 is expediently arranged on a side facing the first tip part 20, in particular on the underside 34. The second step 38 is preferably designed to correspond to the first step 28. For example, the second step 38 can be formed into the underside surface 35. In other words, the second step 38 can be designed as a recess on the underside 34. With the help of the second step 38, in particular when interacting with the first step 28, the displacement path of the second tip part 30 can be limited. In particular, the second tip part 30 can abut against the first step 28 with the second step 38.
[0066] The first and / or second step 28, 38 are preferably designed, in particular arranged, in such a way that when the second tip part 30 abuts against the first step 28, the proximal ends 22, 32 of the first and second tip parts 21, 31 and / or fastening section 21, 31 are essentially aligned with one another. In this respect, the first and second tip parts 20, 30 can be aligned with one another in a release position with the aid of the first and / or second step 28, 38, so that, for example, contours of the first and second fastening section 21, 31 are at least partially and essentially aligned with one another. This is explained in more detail in connection with Figure 5.
[0067] Figure 5 shows the punching tip 10 from Figure 3 in a plan view. This shows a possible configuration of the first tip part 20 in the first fastening section 21, in particular the first projection 22, and of the second tip part 30 in the second fastening section 31, in particular the second projection 32.
[0068] The first and second projections 22, 32 expediently have side walls 26, 36. These side walls 26, 36 can run perpendicular to the top surface or bottom surface shown in Figure 4, i.e., perpendicular to the plane of the figure in Figure 5. For reliable, particularly form-fitting, attachment to the actuating device, the side walls 26, 36 are preferably uneven.
[0069] For example, the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 can each have a first and second bulge 27, 37, respectively. These bulges 27, 37 expediently run transversely to the surface normals of the top surface and bottom surface, respectively, shown in Figure 4. In other words, the projections 22, 32 preferably have a lateral thickening—that is, arranged in the region of the side walls 26, 36.
[0070] The bulges 27, 37 preferably each have a convex curvature. The first and second fastening sections 21, 31 can be shaped such that the base body and the slide can engage behind the first and second fastening sections 21, 31, respectively. This prevents the punch tip 10 from accidentally detaching from the distal end of the actuating device in the longitudinal direction.
[0071] As can be clearly seen in Figure 5, the first fastening section 21 and the second fastening section 31, in one possible embodiment, have at least in sections and at least substantially the same contour, in particular the same outer contour. In particular, the upper side surface 25 shown in Figure 4 and the underside surface 35 also shown there can be shaped identically, at least in sections. In this respect, it is expedient if the side walls 26, 36 are of similarly uneven design, i.e., for example, the second bulge 37 is designed at least substantially the same as the first bulge 27.
[0072] It is not essential that the contours of the fastening sections 21, 31 be identical, i.e., that they can be mapped onto one another without scaling. Rather, the first fastening section 21, in particular, can be dimensioned smaller, in particular narrower, than the second fastening section 31. However, it is preferred that the contours be identical, i.e., that they can be mapped onto one another at least in sections with appropriate slight scaling.
[0073] Such a correspondence of the first fastening section 21 with the second fastening section 31 allows, in a two-stage fastening of the punching tip 10 to the actuating device, securing the first fastening section 21 in the base body fastening section and sliding the carriage fastening section onto the second fastening section 31 by a single actuation of the actuating device. A smaller dimension of the first fastening section 21 can ensure that it can be easily guided through the carriage fastening section.
[0074] Alternatively or additionally, such a correspondence of the first with the second fastening section 21, 31 can allow a one-step release of the punching tip 10 from the actuating device. If the carriage of the actuating device is brought into a release position relative to its base body, the punching tip 10 can be pulled laterally (i.e., upwards in Figure 1) out of the base body and the carriage due to the contours of the fastening sections 21, 31 being at least partially and substantially aligned with one another, without the carriage blocking the first fastening section 21.
[0075] For this purpose, the second tip part 30 is expediently designed in such a way, in particular longitudinally displaceable relative to the first tip part 20, that by bringing the carriage into the release position, the second tip part 30 connected to the carriage is also brought into a release position relative to the first tip part 20, in which the contours of the fastening sections 21, 31 are aligned with one another.
[0076] When Figures 4 and 5 are viewed together, it can also be seen that the punching tip 10 can optionally have a centering device 11. The centering device 11 is preferably formed by the first step 28 and the second step (not visible in Figure 5). For this purpose, the first step 28 can, for example, be disk-shaped or, at least in sections, have a different convex shape. The correspondingly designed second step can therefore be aligned by being pushed onto the first step 28, namely by the proximal end of the second fastening section 31 being deflected laterally when it comes into contact with the first step 28 due to the curvature of the latter. In other words, by producing a positive connection between the first step 28 and the second step, in particular in the release position, the position of the proximal end of the second fastening section 31 can be precisely fixed. This ensures that the contours of the first and second fastening sections 21, 31 are aligned. Figure 6 shows an example of a distal end of an actuating device 100 in a sectional view. The actuating device 100 has a base body 120 and a carriage 130 which is fastened to the base body 120 so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The carriage 130 is in the release position already shown in Figure 2, in which it is lifted off the base body 120, running parallel to the latter. As a result, an upper side 124 of the base body with a base body sliding surface 125 of the base body 120 is visible in Figure 6, which upper side 124 faces a slide underside 134 of the carriage 130 with a slide sliding surface 135. The slide sliding surface 135 is expediently designed to slide along the base body sliding surface 125 when the actuating device 100 is actuated.
[0077] The base body 120 has a base body fastening section 121 for fastening a first tip part of a medical punch tip (see Figures 3, 4 and 5). The base body fastening section 121 can in particular be designed to receive a first fastening section of the first tip part. For this purpose, it is expedient for the base body fastening section 121 to be designed, in particular shaped, to correspond to the first fastening section. In particular, the base body fastening section 121 can have a base body recess 122 into which a first projection of the first tip part (see Figures 4 and 5) can be inserted in a form-fitting manner, i.e. which is designed to correspond to the first projection.
[0078] The carriage 130 has a carriage fastening section 131 for fastening a second tip part of the punching tip (see Figures 3, 4 and 5). The carriage fastening section 131 can in particular be designed to receive a second fastening section of the second tip part. For this purpose, it is expedient for the carriage fastening section 131 to be designed, in particular shaped, to correspond to the second fastening section. In particular, the carriage fastening section 131 can have a carriage recess 132 into which a second projection of the second tip part (see Figures 4 and 5) can be inserted in a form-fitting manner, i.e. which is designed to correspond to the second projection.
[0079] For example, both the base body fastening section 121 and the slide fastening section 131 can have an indentation 123, 133. These indentations 123, 133 can be configured to accommodate corresponding bulges of the first and second fastening sections (see Figure 5).
[0080] As can be clearly seen in Figure 6, the base body fastening section 121 and the slide fastening section 131 have, at least in sections, essentially the same contour, in particular the same inner contour. For example, the base body sliding surface 125 and the slide sliding surface 135 can have, at least in sections, the same contour.
[0081] It is particularly expedient for the contours of the base body fastening section 121 and the carriage fastening section 131 - as shown in Figure 6 - to be at least partially and substantially aligned with one another when the carriage 130 is in the release position. In particular, the base body sliding surface 125 and the carriage sliding surface 135 can be at least partially aligned with one another. As a result, a first fastening section shaped to correspond to the base body fastening section 121 can be easily guided through the carriage fastening section 131 and out of the base body fastening section 121.
[0082] If the slide 130 is displaced longitudinally from the fastening position relative to the base body 120, the slide 130 can secure the first fastening section received by the base body fastening section 121. In other words, in such an operating position, the slide 130 can prevent the first fastening section from being (unintentionally) pulled out of the base body fastening section 121 through the slide fastening section 131. This can be achieved, for example, by a part of the slide 130 at least partially covering the indentation 123 in the base body fastening section 121.
[0083] Figure 7 shows an example of a method V for releasing a medical punch tip 10 from an actuating device 100.
[0084] In a method step S 1, a second tip part 30 of the punching tip 10, which is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on a first tip part 20 of the punching tip 10 and is permanently connected thereto without tools, is brought into a release position by longitudinal displacement relative to the first tip part 20 of the punching tip 10. In this case, the second tip part 30 can in particular be longitudinally displaced such that a contour of a second fastening section 31 of the second tip part 30, with which the second tip part 30 is fastened to a carriage 130 of the actuating device 100, is aligned with a contour of a first fastening section 21 of the first tip part 20, with which the first tip part 20 is fastened to a base body 120 of the actuating device 100. For example, a projection of the second fastening portion 31 can be aligned with a projection of the first fastening portion 21.
[0085] The release position of the second tip part 30 is preferably achieved by longitudinally displacing the carriage 130 relative to the base body 120. The carriage 130 can thereby lift off parallel to the base body 120.
[0086] In a further method step S2, the punching tip 10 is subsequently withdrawn laterally from the actuating device 100. This is possible in particular because the first and second tip parts 20, 30 are permanently connected to one another without the use of tools. Because the fastening sections 21, 31 are aligned with one another, the first fastening section 21 can be pulled out of the actuating device 100 from a base body fastening section 121, in particular a base body recess, through a slide fastening section 131, in particular a slide recess.
[0087] As a result, it is possible, for example, by simply actuating an actuating element 112 of the actuating device 100, to establish a release position of the tip parts 20, 30 in which the punching tip 10 can be completely released from the actuating device 100 with one hand. This can significantly increase user-friendliness, particularly speeding up the tip change. List of reference symbols
