Abstract
Description
[0001] Description
[0002] Basket equipment
[0003] The invention relates to a basket device for arrangement in a washing container of a dishwasher, comprising a base body which is designed to be movable from a washing position located in the washing container into a loading position moved at least partially out of the washing container and vice versa, and comprising a pull-out arranged to be displaceable in the direction of travel of the base body, wherein the pull-out serves to receive a first dishware rack.
[0004] Furthermore, the invention relates to a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, with a washing container providing a washing chamber, which serves to receive items to be cleaned, wherein the washing container has a loading opening for loading items to be washed, which can be closed by means of a pivotably mounted washing chamber door, and with a basket device designed to be movable through the loading opening out of the washing chamber and / or into the washing chamber.
[0005] Basket devices for dishwashers, as well as dishwashers as such, are well known in the art, so a separate written reference is not required here. Reference is therefore made, by way of example, to DE 10 2018 105 879 B4, which discloses both a generic basket device and a generic dishwasher.
[0006] Dishwashers of this type have a wash tub that provides a wash chamber. This tub is accessible to the user via a loading opening that can be sealed fluid-tight by means of a pivoting wash chamber door. When used as intended, the wash tub holds items to be cleaned, such as dishes, cutlery, and / or similar items.
[0007] To apply rinsing liquid, the so-called rinsing solution, to the items to be cleaned, the dishwasher is equipped with a spray device inside the wash tub. This spray device typically features rotatable spray arms, usually two or three such spray arms. When used as intended, the rinsing solution is applied to the items to be cleaned by rotating spray arms.
[0008] To load a dishwasher with wash ware, a basket device is used which can be moved through the loading opening, either into or out of the wash cabinet, depending on the direction of movement.
[0009] The basket assembly of a dishwasher is typically designed as a dish rack. Depending on the dishwasher's design, two or three such dish racks are usually arranged one above the other in the vertical direction of the dishwasher's wash tub. In particular, a lower basket, an upper basket arranged above it in the vertical direction of the dishwasher, and optionally a cutlery drawer arranged vertically above the upper basket may be provided.
[0010] To properly load a wash basket with wash ware, the user must move the wash basket at least partially out of the wash cabinet through the loading opening. In this extended position, the user has access to the wash basket, allowing it to be loaded with wash ware. Following this loading, the user must move the wash basket back into the wash cabinet until it is completely contained within the wash cabinet, so that the loading opening can be sealed fluid-tight using the wash cabinet door. In this position, the wash basket is in its wash position.
[0011] Although prior art basket devices have proven their worth in everyday practical use, there is still room for improvement, particularly with regard to simplified handling for the user. Therefore, the object of the invention is to propose a novel concept for a basket device that, due to its design, enables improved handling and / or more flexible use by the user.
[0012] To achieve this object, the invention proposes a basket device of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized in that the base body carries a second dishware rack, wherein the second dishware rack is arranged on the base body so as to be displaceable both in the direction of travel of the base body and transversely thereto in the height direction of the washing container.
[0013] The rack assembly consists of a base body on one side and a pull-out section mounted on it on the other. If necessary, the pull-out section can be moved relative to the base body by the user, essentially extending the base body in the direction of travel. Both the base body and the pull-out section each support a dish rack, which, when used as intended, serves to hold the dishes to be cleaned.
[0014] According to the invention, the second dish rack provided by the base body is slidably mounted on the base body, both in the direction of travel of the base body and transversely thereto in the vertical direction of the washing container. In combination with the pull-out mechanism slidably mounted on the base body, it is thus possible to position the first dish rack and the second dish rack either vertically above one another or next to one another at the same height.
[0015] This design offers the advantage of simplified handling for the user, as it allows the washware carriers to be placed either on top of each other or side by side, depending on the size of the items to be cleaned. This advantageously provides flexibility in the positioning of the washware shelves, which, on the one hand, facilitates loading and unloading and, on the other, allows for even larger items to be comfortably accommodated.
[0016] The basket device according to the invention is preferably designed as a cutlery drawer and, when used as intended, is arranged above an upper basket in the vertical direction of the dishwasher. When the basket device according to the invention is used as a cutlery drawer, the first and second washware shelves, i.e. the washware shelf provided by the pull-out and the washware shelf provided by the base body, are each optimized for receiving cutlery items. Due to the inventive design, the two washware shelves can be arranged one above the other in the vertical direction of the washing container when the basket device is in the washing position. This provides an enlarged receiving space for washware, which is accommodated by the upper basket arranged below the cutlery drawer in the vertical direction of the washing container.
[0017] Although the two dish racks are arranged one above the other in the washing position in the vertical direction of the washing container, the user still has free access to both dish racks during loading. This is because the pull-out section supporting the first dish rack can be moved relative to the base body. This allows not only the base body to be moved relative to it when the rack assembly is moved into the loading position, but also the pull-out section. As a result, the two dish racks can be offset from one another in the loading position both vertically and in the direction of travel of the base body, which allows free access to both dish racks from above.
[0018] The inventive design also allows the second dish rack to be moved relative to the base body and positioned vertically at the same height as the first dish rack. In this position, the two dish racks are arranged next to each other at the same height in the direction of travel of the base body, both in the washing position and in the loading position. With this positioning of the dish racks, moving the pull-out unit relative to the base body is not necessary to ensure free user access to the dish racks in the loading position.
[0019] The inventive design ultimately enables the two dish racks to be positioned in different positions relative to each other, both in the washing position and in the loading position. This allows for individual alignment of the dish racks depending on user preferences and / or the type of dishware to be loaded, thus simplifying handling for the user as well as allowing for flexible adjustment to accommodate different sizes of dishes.
[0020] According to a further feature of the invention, the base body supports a third dishware rack, wherein the third dishware rack is removably arranged on the base body. The third dishware rack provides an additional dishware rack in addition to the existing dishware racks, thereby increasing the storage capacity of the basket device according to the invention. The third dishware rack is removably arranged on the base body, which allows a user to use the third dishware rack selectively, in particular depending on the size of the dishes to be accommodated by the basket device and / or by a further basket device arranged below the basket device according to the invention.Due to the inventive mobility of the second dish rack, a positioning of the dish racks can be provided, whereby the second dish rack and the third dish rack are arranged either at the same height in the direction of travel, side by side, or vertically above one another. The flexibility of the rack device according to the invention is thus advantageously further increased.
[0021] According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the base body provides a guide device for the second dishware storage unit, which has a first section running in the direction of travel of the base body and a second section running in the direction of travel of the base body, wherein the second section is arranged above the first section in the height direction of the washing container.
[0022] The two sections of the guide device define the two height levels that the second dish rack can assume. The second section of the washing container is arranged above the first section, wherein it is preferred that the height level of the second section corresponds to the height level provided by the pull-out. Accordingly, the first and second dish racks are arranged at the same height level in the vertical direction when the second dish rack is supported by the second section of the guide device. If the second dish rack is located in the region of the first section of the guide device, the second dish rack is arranged below the first dish rack in the vertical direction of the washing container.
[0023] According to a further feature of the invention, the guide device has a third section which connects the first section to the second section and runs transversely to the direction of travel of the base body. The third section of the guide device connects the first and second sections to one another. When the second dishware rack is transferred from the first to the second section or vice versa, the third section serves as a transfer aid. This enables a secure positional shift of the second dishware carrier. The third section is equipped transversely to the direction of travel of the base body, whereby when the second dishware rack is transferred from the first section to the second section or vice versa, a position change takes place both in the vertical direction and in the direction of travel.
[0024] According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the third dishware carrier is arranged in the vertical direction of the washing container below the second section of the guide device.
[0025] According to this preferred embodiment, the first and second washware racks are arranged in the region of the first section of the guide device, specifically one above the other in the vertical direction. The third washware rack, meanwhile, is arranged in the region of the second section of the guide device, specifically next to the second washware rack at the same height. The second and third washware racks are thus positioned below the first washware rack in the vertical direction of the washing container.
[0026] The guide device designed according to the invention allows the second dish rack to be moved into a position in which it is located in the region of the second section of the guide device, specifically above the third dish rack in the vertical direction of the washing container. In this position, the second dish rack is positioned at the same height as the first dish rack, namely adjacent to it.
[0027] Since the third dish rack is removable, i.e. replaceable, on the base body, there are numerous positioning options with regard to the three provided dish racks.
[0028] According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the second section of the guide device is operatively connected to the pull-out in the retracted position, so that the first dishware shelf can be transferred from the pull-out to the guide device and vice versa.
[0029] According to this further preferred embodiment, it is possible to transfer the first dish rack from the pull-out to the base support and vice versa. This provides further flexibility with regard to the positioning of the three dish racks. In particular, it is possible to move the first dish rack over the second dish rack, which is arranged vertically below it, into a position in which the first dish rack is arranged vertically directly above the third dish rack. This allows free access to the second dish rack from above, even when the pull-out is not extended.
[0030] According to a further feature of the invention, the first and second washware racks are arranged one above the other in a first position in the vertical direction of the washing container. In this position, free access to the third washware rack is permitted. Alternatively, the third washware rack is not inserted into the base body, which allows for larger washware in a rack arrangement that is arranged vertically below the inventive rack arrangement.
[0031] According to a further feature of the invention, the first and second washware shelves are arranged next to one another in a second position in the vertical direction of the washing container. In this position, the two first washware shelves are located directly next to one another or one behind the other in the direction of travel, i.e., they are arranged at the same height. Depending on the position of the two first washware shelves, it can also be provided that the third washware shelf is either received in the base body or removed from it. In particular, if there is no third washware shelf, the total receiving space of a basket device arranged below the basket device according to the invention is enlarged.
[0032] According to a further feature of the invention, the pull-out and the base body and / or the first dish rack and the second dish rack are locked together in the second position of the first and second dish racks. This locking mechanism ensures that, when the basket device according to the invention is used as intended, there is no relative movement between the pull-out and the base body. The two dish racks are thus arranged next to one another at the same height and locked together, thus providing the functionality of a conventional cutlery drawer. The user therefore has the option of using the basket device according to the invention either as a conventional cutlery drawer or with a variable dish load in accordance with the adjustment options described above. In contrast to the prior art, this provides a wider range of applications while simplifying handling.
[0033] The invention further relates to a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, comprising a washing container providing a washing chamber for receiving items to be cleaned. The washing container has a loading opening for loading items, which can be closed by means of a pivotably mounted washing chamber door. The washing container also has a basket device designed to be movable through the loading opening out of the washing chamber and / or into the washing chamber. The basket device is a basket device of the type according to the invention. This results in the advantages already described above with reference to the basket device according to the invention.

[0051] Fig. 1 shows a purely schematic side view of a dishwasher 1 according to the invention. The dishwasher 1 comprises, in a manner known per se, a housing 2 that accommodates a washing tub 3. The washing tub 3, in turn, provides a washing chamber 4 for receiving items to be cleaned. For loading the washing chamber 4 with items to be cleaned, the washing tub 3 has a loading opening 5. This loading opening 5 can be closed in a fluid-tight manner by means of a washing tub door 6, which is mounted so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis.
[0052] In the intended use, the items to be cleaned are exposed to washing liquor, for which purpose the dishwasher 1 has a spray device 7. In the illustrated embodiment, the spray device 7 includes two spray arms 8 and 9. However, additional spray arms may also be provided.
[0053] Basket devices are used to hold the items to be cleaned. Figures 2, 3, and 4 each show a total of three basket devices 10, 11, and 12. These are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction 13, with basket device 10 serving as the lower basket, basket device 11 as the upper basket, and basket device 12 as the cutlery drawer. Figures 2, 3, and 4 each show different positions of basket devices 10, 11, and 12.
[0054] The basket device 12 serving as a cutlery drawer is designed according to the invention. The structure of this basket device 12 is described below with reference to the additional figures, wherein Figures 2 to 10 show a first embodiment and Figures 11 to 16 show a second embodiment.
[0055] As can be seen from a combination of Figures 3, 4 and 7 in particular, the basket device 12 according to the invention has a base body 15 and a pull-out 16. Both the pull-out 16 and the base body 15 are each equipped with a dishware shelf 17 and 18 respectively, the pull-out 16 serving to receive the first dishware shelf 17, whereas the base body 15 carries the second dishware shelf 18.
[0056] As can be seen in particular from a combination of Figs. 2 and 3, the base body 15 is designed to be movable from a position in the washing container 3 according to Fig. 2 into a loading position at least partially moved out of the washing container 3 according to Fig. 3 and vice versa. The pull-out 16 is in turn arranged on the base body 15 so as to be displaceable in the direction of travel 14 of the base body 15 and, in the loading position, can be moved in the direction of travel 14 beyond the basket devices 10 and 11 arranged in the vertical direction 13 below the basket device 12, as is particularly evident from the illustration in Fig. 3.
[0057] In the direction of travel 14, the extension 16 has a depth that corresponds approximately to half the depth of the base body 15. Thus, with the extension 16 extended, the basket device 12 extends in the direction of travel 14 as shown in Fig. 3 to approximately 1.5 times the depth of the base body 15.
[0058] In addition to the second dishware rack 18, a third dishware rack 19 is provided, which is received by the base body 15, as is also particularly evident from a synopsis of Figs. 3, 4, and 7. The third dishware rack 19 is removably arranged on the base body 15, so that it can also be removed by the user, as can be seen from the illustration, particularly in Fig. 8.
[0059] A first position of the basket assembly 10, 11, and 12 is shown in Fig. 2. According to this illustration, the basket assembly 10 serving as the lower basket is fully moved into the loading position. The basket assembly 11 serving as the upper basket is partially extended from the washing container 3, and the basket assembly 12 according to the invention serving as the cutlery drawer is still located within the washing container 3 in the washing position.
[0060] According to Fig. 3, the basket assembly 11 serving as the upper basket has also been fully moved into the loading position. The basket assembly 12 according to the invention has been completely extended out of the washing tub 3, and the pull-out 16 has also been moved relative to the base body 15. As can be seen from this illustration, in this position, the basket assembly 12 of the pull-out 16 projects above the two basket assemblies 10 and 11 arranged vertically below the washing basket assembly 12.
[0061] Finally, Fig. 4 shows a position according to which the basket device 12 has remained unchanged compared to the illustration in Fig. 3, but the two basket devices 10 and 11 have moved back into the washing container 3.
[0062] Fig. 5 shows a front view of the dishwasher 1 according to the invention with the washing compartment door 6 open, wherein according to this illustration only the basket devices 11 and 12 are shown in the washing position.
[0063] As can be seen from a summary of the further Figs. 6 to 10, the washware shelves 17, 18 and 19 provided by the basket device 12 as a whole can assume different positions in relation to one another and in relation to the base body 15.
[0064] As can be seen from a summary of Figs. 6 to 8, the pull-out 16, including the dishware rack 17 accommodated therein, is arranged on the base body 15 so as to be displaceable relative to the base body 15. For this purpose, the base body 15 has wire sections 20 and 21 on each side, between which a sliding piece 22 of the pull-out 16 is guided. The pull-out 16 can be moved from a position according to Fig. 6 into an extended position according to Fig. 8 and vice versa.
[0065] In the position shown in Fig. 6, the washware shelf 17 of the pull-out unit 16 and the second washware shelf 18 of the base body 15 are arranged directly above one another in the vertical direction 13. In the position shown in Fig. 8, the second washware shelf 18 is still positioned below the first washware shelf 17 in the vertical direction 13, but the pull-out unit 16 is extended, whereby the washware shelf 17 is positioned at a different height level next to the second washware shelf 18. In this position, user access to both washware shelves 17 and 18 is equally permitted from above.
[0066] As can be seen from illustrations 6 to 10, the first dish rack 17 and the second dish rack 18 in the illustrated embodiment are designed as dish racks, particularly for holding cutlery. In the washing position according to Fig. 6, the two dish racks 17 and 18 intended for holding cutlery are arranged directly above one another in the vertical direction 13.
[0067] The third dish rack 19, which is accommodated by the base body 15, is designed in the illustrated embodiment as a dish rack for accommodating larger cutlery items and / or smaller containers such as cups and / or the like. Since the two dish racks 17 and 18 are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction 13, the third dish rack 19 can accommodate items that are larger in the vertical direction than the other two dish racks 17 and 18.
[0068] The dish rack 19 is detachably mounted on the base body 15 so that it can also be removed by the user, as shown in Fig. 8. With the dish rack 19 removed, a free space is created in the washing position of the first and second dish racks 17 and 18, provided by the basket device 12, which can be used by the dishware held by the upper basket 11. This makes it possible to position larger items in the upper basket 11.
[0069] According to the invention, the second dishware storage rack 18 is arranged on the base body 15 so as to be displaceable both in the direction of travel 14 of the base body and transversely thereto in the height direction 15 of the washing container 3, as can be seen in particular from a view of Figs. 8 to 10 together.
[0070] For the purpose of displaceable arrangement of the second dishware shelf 18 on the base body 15, the base body 15 has a guide device 23, as can be seen in particular from Fig.
[0071] 9. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the guide device 23 provides two spaced-apart wire sections 24 and 25 on the side of the base body 15. The dishware rack 18 has corresponding holders which are each displaceably mounted between the two wire sections 24 and 25 so that the second dishware rack 18 can be moved from a position according to Fig. 8 to a position according to Fig. 9. In the position according to Fig. 9, the second dishware rack 18 is at the same height level in the vertical direction 13 as the dishware rack 17, so that the two dishware racks 17 and 18 are arranged directly next to one another when the pull-out 16 is in the washing position, as shown in Fig. 10. In this position, the basket device 12 according to the invention forms a cutlery drawer with conventional dimensions.
[0072] A second embodiment of the cutlery drawer according to the invention is shown in Figs. 11 to 16. According to this embodiment, the guide device 23 has a wire 29 on each side of the base body 15. The dishware rack 18 is suspended from this wire 29 on the left and right sides in the direction of travel 14. This allows the dishware rack 18 to be displaceably arranged.
[0073] As can be seen in particular from a synopsis of Figs. 11 to 16 based on the second embodiment, the guide device 23 has a first section 26 and a second section 27, wherein the second section 27 is arranged in the vertical direction 13 above the first section 26, as can be seen in particular from the illustration according to Figs. 11, 13 and 15.
[0074] The guide device 23 further comprises a third section 28 connecting the first and second sections 26 and 27 and extending transversely to the direction of travel 14 of the base body. The third section 28 thus connects the two sections 26 and 27, which, if necessary, enables the second dishware rack 18 to be transferred according to Fig. 11 into a position as shown in Figs. 9 and 10 with reference to the first exemplary embodiment.
[0075] Figs. 11 and 12 show the washing position of the basket device 12. The pull-out 16 is retracted in this position and the dishware shelf 17 provided thereby is arranged in the height direction 13 directly above the second dishware shelf 18.
[0076] Figures 13 and 14 show the loading position of the basket assembly 12, in which the pull-out 16 is extended. In this position, all washware shelves 17, 18, and 19 are accessible from above by the user.
[0077] Figs. 15 and 16 show a position in which the basket device 12 is also in the rinsing position, but the washware shelf 17 provided by the pull-out 16 (see Fig. 12) has been moved in the direction of travel 14 over the third washware shelf 19 carried by the base body 15. In this position, the washware shelf 17 is transferred from the pull-out 16 to the base body 15, whereby the washware shelf 17 is no longer carried by the pull-out 16, but by the base body 15.
[0078] As a summary of all Figs. 6 to 16 shows, the design according to the invention enables the basket device 12 to be highly flexible with regard to the respective positioning of the washware shelves 17, 18 and 19 and to assume a number of different positions. This advantageously creates variability with regard to the possible washware to be accommodated on the one hand and simplified handling for the user on the other. Two guide systems are advantageously combined with one another because, on the one hand, the pull-out 16 can be moved in relation to the base body 15 and, on the other hand, the second washware shelf 18 can be moved in relation to the base body 15. Furthermore, it is possible to move the washware shelf 17 between the pull-out 16 and the base body 15.
