Description
[0001] Description
[0002] Title: Kit for installing load-bearing surfaces on a boat, particularly one with wind propulsion, and method for installing such a kit on such a boat
[0003] Technical field
[0004] The invention relates to the field of submerged lifting surfaces fitted to boats.
[0005] The invention thus relates more specifically to a kit for installing load-bearing surfaces on a boat and a method for installing such a kit.
[0006] State of the prior art
[0007] If boats equipped with lifting surfaces (or, according to its generally used English name, "hydrofoils"), or hydrofoils, become more widespread and begin to multiply, there would nevertheless be a definite interest in allowing the recycling of existing boats by providing lifting surface installation kits to enable their conversion.
[0008] By "lifting plane" or "lifting planes", it is understood, above and in the rest of this document, a profiled element to provide a lifting force to the boat it equips, such elements are also known under the name "lifting wings" or "lifting planes", or, according to the more common English name "foils" or "hydrofoils", and equip boats of the "hydrofoil" type (or in English "hydrofoil").
[0009] If such installation kits exist, they generally have the disadvantage of being suitable for a single boat reference and it is necessary to modify them extensively to equip another type of boat.
[0010] Thus, there would be an interest in providing a "universal" installation kit that can easily be adapted depending on the boat that needs to be equipped. Description of the invention
[0011] The invention aims to overcome the above drawback and thus aims to provide a kit for installing carrier planes which can easily be adapted to the boat which it is to equip.
[0012] The invention relates to this purpose to a kit for installing lifting surfaces for a boat, in particular a wind-powered boat, the boat comprising at least one structural element, the kit for installing lifting surfaces comprising: at least one support block intended to be fixed to the at least one structural element, at least two lifting surface arms each having a lifting surface intended to be at least partly submerged, in which the or each support block comprises: an adaptation part shaped to cooperate with the structural element and be fixed to the latter, the adaptation part providing a reference plane for the lifting surface arm(s), at least one plate on which at least one of the lifting surface arms is intended to be mounted, the plate being capable of being mounted on the adaptation part along the reference plane.
[0013] With such a support plan installation kit, only the adapter piece needs to be adapted to the boat. Indeed, the latter, providing a reference plane along which the plate and therefore the support plan arms can be installed, it is possible to provide one or more plates and support plan arms adapted to the type of boat to allow it to be equipped. As a result, it is possible to provide a universal support kit with only the adapter piece(s) that need to be adapted to the boat to be equipped.
[0014] The boat comprises at least two hulls connected to each other by at least one connecting arm, said at least one connecting arm forming the structural element, the adaptation part preferably having a longitudinal housing shaped to receive a part of the connecting arm forming the support element. Such installation of the elements of the kit on a connecting arm of a multihull boat is particularly suitable since it makes it possible to ensure a stable orientation of the lifting plane arms with respect to the hulls of the boat.
[0015] According to a possibility not included in the scope of the present invention, the boat may be monohull and comprise a deck and a hull, the structural element comprising at least the deck of the boat, the adaptation part having a support surface complementary to a portion of the deck of the boat on which it is intended to come to bear, one of the adaptation part and the plate preferably comprising a strap passage to allow the passage of a strap surrounding the hull in order to fix the support block to the deck.
[0016] In this way, according to a possibility not included within the scope of the present invention, the adaptation part makes it possible to provide a reference plane which is, due to the complementarity of shape with respect to a portion of the deck, perfectly defined with respect to the hull.
[0017] Each support plane arm can be mounted on the corresponding plate from at least a first and a second ball joint arranged on either side of said support plane arm with at least one of the first and second ball joints being mounted to move in translation relative to the plate.
[0018] The first and second ball joints of each support plane arm can both be movable in translation relative to the plate.
[0019] The support plane installation kit may comprise, for each support plane arm, an adjustment system comprising two gears meshed together and integral in rotation with the first and second ball joint respectively.
[0020] The first and second ball joints may equip one end of the carrier arm which is free of the carrier by together defining a pivot axis of the carrier arm with respect to the structural element, and in which there is further provided a complementary support of the carrier arm on the boat on which the carrier arm is mounted by means of a removable sliding pivot connection such as that provided by a strap. Such ball joints associated with the different configurations listed above allow easy adjustment of the orientation of the carrier arms and the carrier planes which they comprise.
[0021] The lifting plane installation kit may further comprise at least one rudder having an additional lifting plane, preferably of the T-shaped lifting plane type.
[0022] Such a rudder equipped with a lifting plane makes it possible to add lift to the kit according to the invention and therefore makes it possible to provide a particularly optimized conversion of the boat as a hydrofoil.
[0023] The rudder installation kit may further comprise a mounting system for mounting the at least one rudder blade on the boat, the mounting system comprising: first and second mounting elements rotatably movable on the hull of the boat about a common rudder axis, the second mounting element being intended to be arranged along the rudder axis below the first mounting element when the boat is afloat, the first mounting element having a pivot axis along which the rudder blade is intended to pivot, the pivot axis being transverse to the rudder axis, and the second mounting element is intended to be assembled to one of the rudder blade and the hull by elastic interlocking.
[0024] With such a mounting system the rudder presents reduced risks of damage compared to rudders mounted with a mounting system according to the prior art.
[0025] The invention further relates to a method of equipping a boat with a kit for installing supporting surfaces according to the invention, the boat comprising at least one structural element, the equipping method comprising the following steps: fixing at least one adaptation part on the structural element, fixing at least one plate to the at least one adaptation part along the reference plane, the adaptation part and the plate participating in the formation of at least one support block, mounting the supporting surface arms on the plate(s).
[0026] Such a method allows the installation of a kit according to the invention and to obtain the advantages attached thereto.

[0031] The various possibilities (variants and embodiments) must be understood as not being mutually exclusive and can be combined with each other. Detailed description of particular embodiments
[0032] Figures 1A and 1B illustrate a boat 1, here a catamaran, equipped with a kit for installing lifting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to the invention so that the latter forms a hydrofoil.
[0033] It will be noted, of course, that if in the context of the present embodiment, the kit for installing lifting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 equips a catamaran-type boat 1, it can be adapted to other types of boats, such as a trimaran, as will be shown in the following embodiments.
[0034] It will be noted that according to a possibility not included in the scope of the present invention and which is described in the remainder of this document, it is possible to adapt the kit for installing lifting surfaces for monohull boats.
[0035] The boat 1 comprises a structural element 15, here one of the connecting arms 15, 16, on which is installed a part of the kit for installing supporting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55.
[0036] A kit for installing lifting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to the present embodiment comprises, as shown in FIG. 2: two support blocks 21, 31 each intended to be fixed to the at least one structural element 15, i.e. one of the connecting arms 15, 16 of the boat 1, two lifting surface arms 22, 32 each having a lifting surface 24, 34 intended to be at least partly submerged, each lifting surface arm 22, 32 being mounted on a support block 21, 31 which is respective to it, two rudders each equipped with a T-shaped lifting surface 45, 55.
[0037] It should be noted that, according to an advantageous and optional possibility of the invention, shown in Figure 2, the kit for installing lifting surfaces can further comprise a control system 17 capable of communicating with a motorized configuration modification system, not shown, and controlling said system to adapt the arrangement of the lifting surface arms 22, 32. It should nevertheless be noted that in a usual configuration of the invention, the arrangement of the lifting surface arms 22, 32 is adjusted manually by a member of the crew of the boat 1. The support block 21, 31 comprises, as shown in Figure 3: two adaptation pieces 212A, 212B, shaped to cooperate with the structural element 15, 13 and be fixed to the latter, the adaptation pieces providing a reference plane for the lifting surface arm 22, a plate 211 on which the lifting surface arm 22 is mounted, the plate 211 being mounted on the adapter pieces 212A, 212B along the reference plane.
[0038] As shown in Figure 3, in the present embodiment, two adapter pieces 212A, 212B are provided consisting of two half-shells sandwiching the structural element, i.e. the connecting arm 15. The first adapter piece 212A, the “top” piece, has an L-shape, while the second adapter piece 212B, the “bottom” piece, has a U-shape in order to best accommodate the lower part of the connecting arm 15. Such a conformation allows the adapter pieces 212A, 212B, from the shape of the portion of the connecting arm 15 that they accommodate, to provide a reference plane, with respect to the waterline of the boat, for the plate 211 and therefore the bearing plane arm 22 which is mounted on the plate 211. As shown in Figure 3, the U-shape of the second adapter piece 212B forms a housing so as to stabilize its placement on the connecting arm 15, and that of the first adaptation part 212A.Note that the surface of the first adapter piece 212A which is opposite the deck of the boat defines the reference plane.
[0039] Each of the first and second adaptation parts is preferably made of a rigid material such as a thermoplastic, a composite material or even wood.
[0040] It will of course be noted that if in the present embodiment, said surface of the first adaptation part 212A materializes the reference plane, this plane may not have any materiality, since by providing a support surface, not necessarily flat, the adaptation part(s) 212A, 212B make it possible to ensure the orientation of the plate 211, and therefore of the bearing plane arm 22, with respect to the waterline of the boat 1.
[0041] According to one possibility of the invention shown in Figure 3, the first adaptation part 212A may have a recess in order to allow the placement of an adjustment system 213 for the orientation of the support plane arm 22 on the plate, said adjustment system 213 comprising a gear assembly in order to allow a height adjustment of the ball joint(s) 215, 216, illustrated in Figures 4A and 4B.
[0042] According to Figure 3, in the present embodiment, the plate 211 has a complementary shape with the adaptation parts 212A, 212B. Thus, the plate 211 has a U-shape with the two branches of the U which define a housing shaped to receive the adaptation parts 212A, 212B. The fixing of the plate 211 on the adaptation parts 212A, 212B is done by elastic fitting and by translation along the axis of the connecting arm of the boat. The plate 211 thus makes it possible to ensure good fixing of the adaptation parts 212A, 212B on the connecting arm 15. It will of course be noted that such an elastic fitting is only one example of mounting the plate 211 on the adaptation parts, any other mounting, such as screwing, riveting or welding can be envisaged. It should nevertheless be noted that within the framework of the invention, a removable assembly is to be preferred.
[0043] Each plate is preferably made of a rigid material such as thermoplastic, composite material, wood or even metal, particularly stainless steel.
[0044] Each carrier plane arm 22, 32 comprises, as shown in Figures 1A and 1B, a fixing arm 23, 33 by which the carrier plane arm 22, 32 is mounted on the plate 211, and a carrier plane 24, 34 as such which, by being fixed to one end of the fixing arm 23, 33, is intended to be at least partly submerged. The carrier plane 24, 34 is profiled in order to provide a lift force when the boat 1 moves. Of course, if in the present embodiment, the support arm 23, 33 and the carrier plane 24, 34 are distinct from each other, it is conceivable to provide a single-piece carrier plane arm 22, 32 with the support arm 23, 33 and the carrier plane 24, 34 which are then formed integral with each other.
[0045] Each support plane arm 22, 32 can be mounted on the corresponding plate 211 from at least two ball joints 215, 216, 217. In this first embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, each support plane arm 22, 32 is mounted on the corresponding plate 211 from a first and second ball joints 215, 216 located on either side of the support plane arm in order to define a first pivot connection and another ball joint 217 which is arranged at one end of the support plane arm 22, 32 which is free from the support plane 24, 34, this with a lateral offset to define a second pivot connection with the second ball joint 216. The first ball joint 215 is mounted movable in translation with respect to the plate 211 in order to allow adjustment of the “height” of the first ball joint 215.In this way, an adjustment of its height, from the adjustment system 213, allows the carrier plane arm 22, 32 to pivot around the second pivot connection and thus to adjust the orientation of the carrier planes with respect to the connection arm 15 and therefore the boat 1. It will be noted that according to one possibility of the invention, the third ball joint 217 can be removable in such a way as to allow the carrier plane arm to pivot around an axis defined by the first and second ball joints 215, 216 when it is removed from the third ball joint 217.
[0046] As also shown in Figures 4A and 4B, a complementary support 214 may be provided, for example arranged on a deck of the boat 1, in order to provide an additional attachment point for the carrier arm 22, 32. According to this possibility, the carrier arm 22, 32 may be attached to this complementary support 214 from a sliding pivot connection as provided, for example and as illustrated by Figures 4A and 4B, from a strap 214A attaching the carrier arm 22, 32 to said complementary support 214.
[0047] As shown in Figures 1A and 1B, the kit for installing lifting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to the present embodiment also comprises two rudders 44, 54 each equipped with a T-shaped lifting surface 45, 55. In order to allow the boat 1 to be maneuvered, each of the rudders is extended by a bar 42, 52 which is respective to it.
[0048] According to one possibility of the invention illustrated in Figures 5A and 5B, each rudder 44, 54 is mounted on a respective hull 11, 12 of the boat 1, and more precisely on the transom of said hulls 11, 12, by means of a mounting system 43. The mounting system 43 comprises an intermediate piece 431 fixed to the transom, and a first and a second mounting element 432, 433 by means of which the rudder 44, 54 is mounted to the hull 11, 12 of the boat 1, the first and the second mounting element 432, 433 are mounted to be movable in rotation with respect to the intermediate piece 431, and therefore with respect to the hull of the boat, around a rudder axis which is common to them. The second mounting element 433 is arranged along the rudder axis below the first mounting element 432 when the boat 1 is afloat.
[0049] It will be noted that, according to the principle similar to the adaptation parts 212A, 212B, the intermediate part 431 is adapted according to the shape of the transom to be equipped. Thus, in the kit, to allow the installation of each rudder, only the intermediate part 431 has to be adapted to the boat 1 to be equipped, the other elements concerning the rudder including in particular the first and second mounting elements 432, 433 can be standardized.
[0050] The first mounting element 432 has a pivot axis 432A along which the rudder 44 is rotatably mounted, the pivot axis 432A being transverse to the rudder axis and is, preferably and more precisely, substantially perpendicular to the rudder axis. More specifically, the first element 432 has on a first portion a through-orifice through which the rudder axis (stock or pintle, depending on the rudder configuration, as discussed below) passes and on a second portion two other orifices through which the pivot axis 432A passes. The pivot axis 432A is transverse to the rudder axis.
[0051] The second mounting element 433 is assembled to one of the rudder 44 and the hull 11 (through the intermediate piece 431), here the rudder 44, by elastic interlocking. Of course, according to a variant not illustrated, the mounting element 433 can be assembled to the intermediate piece 431, therefore the hull, by elastic snap-fastening, this elastic snap-fastening then also making it possible to provide a mounting that is mobile in rotation about the rudder axis. To allow such an elastic mounting, the second mounting element 433 has on a first portion a through-orifice through which the rudder axis passes and on a second portion comprising two arms each having a cantilevered tab, the arms together defining a receiving space for a member for fixing the rudder 44 preferably having a tapered face.It will be noted that if the first and second mounting elements 432, 433 are provided in the form of two independent parts, it is also conceivable, without departing from the scope of the invention, that the first and second mounting elements 432, 433 are provided in the form of a single part. Similarly, if the first and second elements 432, 433 are mounted in the present embodiment, pivoting about the rudder axis forming the rudder stock, it is also possible that the first and second elements 432, 433 are mounted on the intermediate part 431, or even the hull, by means of a respective pintle, the first and second elements then each forming a pintle.
[0052] According to a possibility not illustrated, the first element 432 can be removably mounted on the hull, this by making the first element 432 free to pivot about the pivot axis 432A and to disengage from the rudder axis, or stock. In this way, when the user wishes to remove the rudder in order to store it, he can disengage the first element and disengage the second element from its elastic fitting attachment so as to detach the rudder 44, 54 from the hull 11, 12.
[0053] The rudder 44, as shown in Figure 5A, comprises: a frame 442 by which the rudder 44 is mounted on the first and second mounting elements 432, 433, a rudder body 441 slidably mounted in the frame 442 in order to allow adjustment of the depth of the rudder 44, a securing system, such as a pin, in position of the rudder body 441 on the frame 442, not shown.
[0054] The frame 442 has a first and a second extension, extending towards the hull 11, 12, from which the frame is respectively mounted on the first and second mounting elements 432, 433. The first extension is pivotally mounted around the pivot axis 432A. The second extension forms the fixing member and preferably has, as shown in FIG. 5B and towards the hull 11: two grooves extending on either side of the second extension in a direction parallel to the rudder axis, configured to each accommodate a respective cantilevered tab of the second mounting element 433, a tapered face, to facilitate the introduction of the second member into the receiving space defined by the second mounting element.
[0055] With such mounting of the rudder 44 on the hull of the boat, when the rudder encounters an obstacle, such as the bottom or a rock or an unidentified floating object, the forces applied to the rudder 44 due to this encounter will cause the second extension to disengage from the second mounting element 433 and the rudder 44 to pivot around the pivot axis 432A in a direction opposite to the movement of the boat 1, thus limiting the risks of damage to the rudder 44.
[0056] In the context of the present embodiment, the rudder body 441 has a supporting plane 45 here in T shape. Of course, if such a supporting plane 45 is linked to the use of a mounting system within the context of a kit for installing supporting planes 22, 32, 45, 55, such a rudder mounting system 43 is perfectly usable for mounting a simple rudder not comprising a supporting plane or not using a frame 442 since such a mounting system offers both a protection function and ease of handling of the latter, regardless of its configuration.
[0057] In order to allow the inclination of the lifting planes 45, 55 equipping the rudders 44, 54 to be adjusted, within the scope of the invention, it is possible to provide a lifting plane incidence adjustment system not shown. Such an incidence adjustment system may be accessible on the bar 32, 42 associated with said rudder 44 or even directly accessible on the rudder 44, the adjustment then being carried out either on land or by raising the rudder 44.
[0058] As shown in Figure 5C, according to a possibility of the invention which is particularly advantageous in the context of such a mounting system, the rudder 44 may comprise a depth portion 443 arranged on one end of the rudder 44 intended to be opposite the hull and at the front of the latter, in a direction of movement of the boat 1. The depth portion 443 comprises an element made of deformable material, such as an elastomer which may be, for example, a natural or synthetic rubber. Such a depth portion 443 comprising a deformable material, such as an elastomer, makes it possible to absorb part of the forces exerted on the rudder 44 when the latter encounters an obstacle.
[0059] According to a variant of the invention not shown, the rudder body 441 can have two installation orientations in the frame 442, one with the bearing plane 45 arranged on the bottom of the rudder 44, that is to say below the waterline of the boat, and the other with the bearing plane arranged on the top of the rudder 44, that is to say above the waterline. In this way, with such a rudder body 441, the rudder 44 can be used both in the context of a hydrofoil configuration, that is to say with the bearing plane 45 arranged on the bottom of the rudder 44 and in a conventional configuration, that is to say with the bearing plane 45 arranged on the top of the rudder 44.
[0060] According to such a variant, a method for changing the orientation of the rudder may be provided comprising the following steps: disengaging the second mounting element 433 from its elastic casing in order to allow the frame to pivot about the pivot axis 432A, pivoting the rudder 44 about the pivot axis 432A in order to bring it to an orientation close to horizontal and removing the securing system in order to allow the rudder body 441 to slide in the frame 442, removing the rudder body 441 from the frame 442 and turning the latter over in order to change its orientation, installing the rudder body 441 in the frame 442 with the new orientation, securing the positioning of the rudder body 441 in the frame 442 by reinstalling the securing system.
[0061] It will be noted that within the scope of the invention, a kit for installing lifting surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to this first embodiment can be installed according to an installation method comprising the following steps: fixing the two adaptation parts 212 on the structural element 15, that is to say the connecting arm 15, fixing each of the plates 211 on the corresponding adaptation part 212 along the reference plane defined by the latter, each adaptation part 212 and the corresponding plate 211 participating in the formation of the corresponding support block 21, 31, mounting each of the lifting surface arms 22, 32 on the respective plate 211, mounting, for each of the rudders 44, 54 and on the corresponding hull 11, 12, the first and second mounting elements 432, 433 movable in rotation with respect to the hull 11, 12 of the corresponding boat 1 around a rudder axis which is common to said mounting elements 432,433 this by means of the intermediate piece 431, the second mounting element 433 corresponding to said rudder 44, 54 being arranged along the rudder axis under the corresponding first mounting element 432 when the boat 1 is afloat, mounting of each rudder 44, 54 movable in rotation around the pivot axis 432A of the corresponding first element 432, said pivot axis 432A being transverse to the corresponding rudder axis, each second mounting element being assembled to the rudder by elastic fitting.,
[0062] Figures 6A and 6B illustrate the mounting of a carrier plane arm 22 according to a second embodiment. A kit for installing carrier planes 22, 32, 45, 55 according to this second embodiment differs from a kit for installing carrier planes 22, 32, 44, 55 according to the first embodiment in that the carrier plane arm 22 is mounted on the plate 211 from the first and second ball joints 215, 216 which are both movable in translation with respect to the plate 211, the plate being devoid of a third ball joint 217 and in that the carrier plane arm 22 is fixed to the complementary support 214 from a sliding pivot connection provided by a strap 214A attaching the carrier plane arm 22 to said complementary support 214.
[0063] In this second embodiment and for each support plane arm 22, 32, the first and second ball joints 215, 216, by equipping the end of said support plane arm 22, 32 free of support plane, together define a pivot axis of the support plane arm 22, 32 with respect to the structural element 15.
[0064] In this way, when each supporting plane arm 22, 32 is released from the strap 214A which provides the sliding pivot connection to the complementary support 214, said supporting plane arm 22, 32 is able to tilt with respect to the structural element, here the connecting arm 15 and thus be raised out of the water. Such tilting makes it possible to limit the handling constraints of the boat 1 when it is brought back to land for storage or in the event of heavy weather not compatible with a hydrofoil configuration.
[0065] Figures 7 to 8B illustrate a monohull boat 1 equipped with a kit for installing lifting surfaces according to an embodiment not included within the scope of the invention. A kit for installing load-bearing surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to this third embodiment differs from a kit for installing load-bearing surfaces 22, 32, 45, 55 according to the second embodiment in that a single adapter piece 212 and a single plate 211 are provided forming a single support block on which the two load-bearing surface arms 22, 32 are mounted, in that the deck 13 of the boat 1 forms the structural element, in that the load-bearing surfaces 34 load-bearing surface arms 22, 32 are T-shaped load-bearing surfaces and in that the attachment of the adapter piece to the deck 13 is obtained by means of a strap 218 passing through the adapter piece 212 and going around the hull 11.
[0066] It will be noted that this strap 218, as shown in FIG. 7, in this embodiment not included in the scope of the invention and in which the kit for installing lifting surfaces equips a monohull boat 1, can come to bear on the keel 14 in such a way as to improve the fixing of the adaptation piece on the deck 13. The adaptation piece 212 and the plate 211 extend over the entire width of the deck 13.
[0067] Figures 8A and 8B show the mounting of each of the carrier plane arms 22, 32 on the single plate 211. It can thus be seen that in this third embodiment, in a manner similar to the second embodiment, each carrier plane arm 22, 32 is mounted on the plate 211 using a first and a second ball joint 215, 216 arranged at one end of the carrier plane arm 22, 32 which is free of the carrier plane by together defining a pivot axis, which is here provided by means of a pivot 216A connecting the first and second ball joints 215, 216. Of course, such a pivot 216A, as is the case for the second embodiment, is not necessary and the first and second ball joints 215, 216 are able to provide such a mounting without the pivot being necessary.
[0068] In a manner identical to the second embodiment, the first and second ball joints 215, 216 are both movable in translation relative to the plate 211. To do this, the adjustment system 213 comprises two gears, not referenced, meshed together and integral in rotation with respectively the first and second ball joints 215, 216. As shown in FIG. 8B, one of the gears is provided with a pulley intended to be coupled with a winch, not shown, by the use of a belt, not shown. Alternatively, the pulley can be actuated manually by a simple rope kept under tension acting as a belt. In this way, manipulation of the winch makes it possible to rotate the two gears in a counter-rotating movement, which in turn causes the first and second ball joints 215, 216 to move relative to the plate 211, which are opposite each other, and therefore pivots the support plane arm 22, 32.
[0069] Each carrier plane arm 22, 32 is also mounted on the plate 211 by means of the complementary support 214 of the carrier plane arm on which the carrier plane arm 22, 32 is mounted by means of a removable sliding pivot connection such as that provided by the strap 214A. Such a sliding pivot connection does not hinder the pivoting of the carrier plane arm 22, 32 when adjusting the height of the first and second ball joints 215, 216 relative to the plate 211 by means of the adjustment system 213. It will be noted that in this third embodiment, in order to allow stable placement relative to the plate, the complementary support has a base having a surface complementary to the upper surface of the plate 211.
[0070] Figure 9 illustrates the mounting of a carrier arm according to a fourth embodiment of the invention. A kit for installing carriers 22, 32, 45, 55 according to this fourth embodiment differs from a kit of carriers 22, 32, 45, 55 according to the first embodiment in that each carrier arm 22, 32 is mounted on the plate 211 by means of a single ball joint 215 and in that a complementary support 214 of the carrier arm 22, 32 is further provided on the boat 1 on which the carrier arm 22, 32 is mounted by means of a sliding pivot connection, preferably removable, such as that provided by a strap 214A.
[0071] In this way, each supporting plane arm 22, 32 is able to pivot, to allow adjustment of the inclination of the supporting plane 24, while being made integral with the connecting arm 15 by the ball joint 215. In the present embodiment, preferably, a tilt adjustment system, not shown, may be provided, such as a system for controlling the pivoting of the fixing arm 23. Such a pivoting control system may comprise a gear arranged at the pivot connection meshing with a complementary toothed portion of the fixing arm 23. In this way, by associating this gear with a control of its rotation, for example a lever or a crank, it is possible to pivot the fixing arm 23 and change the orientation of the corresponding supporting plane 24. According to a variant, such a tilt adjustment system may be associated with the ball joint 215.
[0072] As shown, and in a manner similar to what has been described in the context of Figures 6A, 6B, 8A and 8B, the pivot connection may be provided by a strap 214A. This strap 214A may be associated with a complementary support 214. As is the case in the context of Figures 6A, 6B, 8A and 8B. This complementary support 214 may be separate from the plate 211 and mounted on the connecting arm 15. Alternatively, the complementary support 214 may be integral with the plate 211. According to this alternative, each support plane arm 22, 32 is only mounted on the connecting arm 15 by the plate 211.
