[0001] The invention relates to a base frame for a piece of seating furniture, comprising a base part for setting up the base frame on a support surface, a seat part connected to the base part in a force-transmitting manner, a back part connected to the seat part in an articulated manner, a foot part connected to the seat part in an articulated manner, and a plurality of linear actuators for electromotively adjusting an inclination of the seat part relative to the base part, an inclination of the back part relative to the seat part and an inclination of the foot part relative to the seat part, wherein the linear actuators are connected to a control of the base frame in a signal-transmitting and energy-transmitting manner and to a remainder of the base frame in a force-transmitting manner, and wherein the foot part has a plurality of foot part segments and the foot part segments are connected to one another in a movable manner relative to one another in such a way that the foot part segments can be adjusted by means of at least one of the linear actuators from a stowed length of the foot part,in which the foot section segments are folded and / or pushed together along a longitudinal axis of the foot section, into an extended length of the foot section that exceeds the stowed length, in which the foot section segments are folded and / or pushed apart along the longitudinal axis of the foot section, can be transferred back and forth.

[0002] Such base frames for seating furniture are already known from the state of the art in a variety of designs and are referred to, among other things, as recliners or TV armchairs.

[0003] The object of the present invention is to improve a base frame for a piece of seating furniture.

[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention, in conjunction with the preamble of claim 1, is characterized in that the base frame has two linear actuators and is configured such that, on the one hand, a seat depth adjustment for setting the seat depth of the base frame and, on the other hand, a heart-balance adjustment of the base frame can be realized using only the two aforementioned linear actuators. Preferably, the plurality of linear actuators is configured as just the two aforementioned linear actuators.

[0005] The particular advantage of the invention is that it improves a base frame for seating furniture. The seating furniture equipped with this base frame is also improved accordingly. Due to the inventive design of the base frame for seating furniture, it is possible to implement, on the one hand, a seat depth adjustment for setting a seat depth in the base frame and, on the other hand, a heart-balance adjustment of the base frame using only the two aforementioned linear actuators. It is particularly advantageous that the plurality of linear actuators is designed as just the two aforementioned linear actuators. Accordingly, only two linear actuators are required to implement the individual settings of the base frame according to the invention, in particular the seat depth adjustment for setting a seat depth in the base frame and the heart-balance adjustment of the base frame. Thus, the base frame according to the invention for a piece of seating furniture can be realized with less constructional and manufacturing effort than the usual base frames for seating furniture, compared to known base frames for seating furniture.

[0006] In principle, the base frame according to the invention can be freely selected within wide, suitable limits in terms of type, functionality, material, and dimensions. Accordingly, the adjustments of the base frame according to the invention—i.e., the movement of the base frame into different positions of the base frame with predetermined positions of the individual aforementioned parts of the base frame relative to each other—can also be freely selected within wide, suitable limits.

[0007] An advantageous development of the base frame according to the invention provides that the base frame is designed in such a way that the base frame can be adjusted solely by means of the two aforementioned linear actuators, starting from a seat setting of the base frame with a first seat depth and foot part folded in relative to the seat part and located in its stowed length, in a first step into a lounge setting of the base frame with a back part lowered further back compared to the seat setting and a seat part inclined more strongly relative to the base part, in a second step into a lounge comfort setting of the base frame with a second seat depth which is greater than the lounge setting with the first seat depth,in a third step, it can be converted into a television setting of the base frame with a footrest that is folded out relative to the seat part and located within its extended length compared to the lounge comfort setting, and in a fourth step into a heart-balance setting of the base frame with a backrest that is lowered further back compared to the television setting and a seat part that is more inclined relative to the base part, preferably that the aforementioned settings of the base frame can be controlled separately, particularly preferably, that the respective aforementioned transfer can be carried out as a continuous movement. On the one hand, this enables the user of the seating furniture equipped with it to realize essential functions of this seating furniture and thus of the base frame according to the invention; for example, only by means of two linear actuators. On the other hand, this is achieved in a very simple manner in terms of design and manufacturing technology. The aforementioned parts of the base frame according to the invention are thus connected to one another and can be moved relative to one another by means of the linear actuators in such a way that the base frame according to the invention can be transferred, starting from its seat position, into any of the above-mentioned further positions without any additional means. This naturally also applies in the opposite direction.i.e., when transferring the base frame according to the invention from its heart-balance setting or one of the other aforementioned settings towards the seat setting of the base frame according to the invention. The preferred embodiment of this further development has the further advantage that the desired setting of the base frame can be directly selected by a user of the base frame and the seating furniture equipped therewith, for example, by means of a control unit of the base frame according to the invention that is connected to the control system in a signal-transmitting manner. Furthermore, the particularly preferred embodiment of this further development has the additional advantage thatthat the transition from the current setting of the base frame according to the invention to a future setting of the base frame according to the invention desired by the user is designed as a substantially fluid and thus very pleasant movement of the base frame according to the invention. The aforementioned lounge setting, lounge comfort setting, and television setting are intermediate positions, i.e., intermediate settings, of the base frame according to the invention, lying between the seat setting and the heart-balance setting.

[0008] An advantageous further development of the aforementioned embodiment of the base frame according to the invention provides that the base frame is designed in such a way that the transfer of the base frame from its seat setting to its lounge setting takes place solely by means of a first linear actuator of the two aforementioned linear actuators, from its lounge setting to its lounge comfort setting solely by means of a second linear actuator of the two aforementioned linear actuators, from its lounge comfort setting to its television setting solely by means of the second linear actuator and from its television setting to its heart-balance setting solely by means of the first linear actuator, preferably that the first linear actuator is arranged in a force-transmitting manner between a rear cross strut of the seat part and a front cross strut of the seat part and the second linear actuator is arranged in a force-transmitting manner between the front cross strut of the seat part and a cross strut of the foot part.In this way, a very efficient and thus advantageous embodiment of the base frame according to the invention is provided in terms of circuit technology and movement sequence, with only two linear actuators required. Furthermore, the preferred embodiment of this further development allows for a particularly simple and robust design and manufacturing process.

[0009] An advantageous development of the last-mentioned development of the base frame according to the invention provides that the seat part has two side assemblies arranged parallel to one another and connected by means of the rear and the front cross strut, wherein the base frame has, in addition to the aforementioned cross struts, a rear synchronization strut and a front synchronization strut for synchronizing a movement of individual parts of the two side assemblies, and wherein the rear synchronization strut is arranged on a coupling element of each side assembly which articulates the back part to the seat part and the front synchronization strut is arranged on the seat part in such a way that the front synchronization strut is arranged essentially directly adjacent to the front cross strut in the seat setting of the base frame. In this way, the design of the seat section is very simple in terms of construction and manufacturing technology, as well as being lightweight, while also being very robust. This is particularly ensured by the two aforementioned synchronization struts and their positioning relative to the rest of the seat section, which ensure excellent synchronization of the aforementioned individual parts of the two side assemblies when transferring the base frame according to the invention between the individual settings of this base frame. Accordingly, the seat section, which is essential for the aforementioned transfers, is designed to be highly functionally reliable.

[0010] A further advantageous development of the base frame according to the invention provides that individual parts of the base frame that can be moved relative to one another by means of the two linear actuators are connected to one another in such a way that mutually corresponding end positions of these individual parts can be achieved by means of mutually corresponding mechanical stops of these individual parts. Preferably, a travel range of the base frame is mechanically limited by means of the aforementioned mechanical stops. Particularly preferably, the mechanical stops of these individual parts are designed as a pairing of bolt and through-hole and / or bolt and recess. As a result, a movement of the base frame according to the invention into its respective end position can be achieved in a very simple manner in terms of design, manufacturing technology, and circuitry.Furthermore, this refinement effectively prevents unwanted overtravel of the respective end position of the base frame according to the invention, even in the event of a fault. This applies particularly to the preferred embodiment of this refinement, wherein the travel range can be defined, i.e., limited, for example, on the one hand by the seat adjustment and on the other hand by the heart-balance adjustment of the base frame according to the invention. The particularly preferred embodiment of this refinement also provides robust designs for the mechanical stops that are very simple to implement in terms of design and manufacturing technology.

[0011] Another advantageous development of the base frame according to the invention provides that the base frame is designed such that the transition from the seat setting of the base frame to the heart-balance setting of the base frame, or an intermediate setting of the base frame positioned between the seat setting and the heart-balance setting, takes place in combination with a forward movement of the seat part parallel to the support surface. In this way, a so-called wall-away function can also be implemented in the base frame according to the invention and thus in the seating furniture equipped therewith, so that the seating furniture with the base frame according to the invention can be positioned very close to a wall in its seat setting without this impairing the other settings of the base frame according to the invention that deviate from the seat setting. This is because, when the base frame according to the invention is transferred from its seat setting to one of the further settings of the base frame according to the invention, in which the back part is lowered further back than the seat setting, the seat part is also moved forward and thus away from the aforementioned wall. The aforementioned wall-away function, for example, is also made possible solely by means of the two aforementioned linear actuators for adjusting the seat depth and, on the other hand, for implementing the heart-balance adjustment. According to the invention, a forward movement of a part or individual part of the base frame means a movement towards the foot part of the base frame, while a backward movement of a part or individual part of the base frame means a movement towards the back part of the base frame.Parts of the base frame are the parts of the base frame explicitly mentioned above, i.e. base part, seat part, back part, foot part, while individual parts of the base frame are not explicitly named and designated.

[0012] Further advantages, features, and details of the invention can be gathered from the further subclaims and the following description. Features mentioned therein may be essential to the invention individually or in any combination. Thus, reference can always be made to the disclosure of the individual aspects of the invention. The drawings serve merely as examples to clarify the invention and are not limiting in nature. [0013] In the Fig. 1a bis 15c An embodiment of the basic frame according to the invention for a piece of seating furniture is shown purely as an example.

[0014] The base frame 2 for a piece of seating furniture (not shown in detail) comprises a base part (not shown) for setting up the base frame 2 on a support surface (also not shown), a seat part 4 connected to the base part in a force-transmitting manner, a back part 6 connected to the seat part 4 in an articulated manner, a foot part 8 connected to the seat part 4 in an articulated manner, and a plurality of linear actuators 10, 12 for electromotively adjusting an inclination of the seat part 4 relative to the base part, an inclination of the back part 6 relative to the seat part 4, and an inclination of the foot part 8 relative to the seat part 4. The linear actuators 10, 12 are connected to a control (not shown) of the base frame 2 in a signal-transmitting and energy-transmitting manner and to a remainder of the base frame 2 in a force-transmitting manner. The foot part 8 has a plurality of foot part segments (not shown in detail), and the foot part segments are connected to one another in a movable manner relative to one another in such a way thatthat the foot part segments are controlled by means of at least one of the linear actuators 12 from a position shown, for example, in the , Fig. 1a shown stowage length of the foot part 8, in which the foot part segments are folded and / or pushed together along a longitudinal axis of the foot part 8, into a stowage length exceeding the stowage length and, for example, in the Fig. 4a shown extension length of the foot part 8, in which the foot part segments are folded out and / or pushed apart along the longitudinal axis of the foot part 8, can be transferred back and forth.

[0015] According to the invention, the base frame 2 has two linear actuators 10, 12, namely exactly two linear actuators 10, 12, wherein the base frame 2 is designed in such a way that only by means of the two aforementioned linear actuators 10, 12, on the one hand a seat depth adjustment for setting a seat depth in the base frame 2 and on the other hand a Fig. 5a, 5b The two different seat depths that can be adjusted using the aforementioned seat depth adjustment are, for example, Fig. 1a, 1b and on the other hand in the Fig. 3a, 3b shown.

[0016] The base frame 2 is designed in such a way that the base frame 2 can be moved only by means of the two aforementioned linear actuators 10, 12 starting from the Fig. 1a bis 1d illustrated seat adjustment of the base frame 2 with a first seat depth and foot part 8 folded in relative to the seat part 4 and located in its stowed length, in a first step into a Fig. 2a, 2b shown lounge setting of the base frame 2 with a back part 6 lowered further back compared to the seat setting and a seat part 4 inclined more strongly relative to the base part, in a second step into a Fig. 3a, 3b shown lounge comfort setting of the base frame 2 with a second seat depth that is larger than the lounge setting with the first seat depth, in a third step into a Fig. 4a, 4b shown television setting of the base frame 2 with a foot part 8 folded out relative to the seat part 4 and located in its extended length compared to the lounge comfort setting and in a fourth step into a Fig. 5a, 5b The heart-balance adjustment of the base frame 2 shown in FIG. 1 can be transferred with a back part 6 lowered further back compared to the television setting and a seat part 4 inclined more strongly relative to the base part, wherein the aforementioned adjustments of the base frame 2 can be controlled separately, namely in such a way that the respective aforementioned transfer can be carried out as a continuous movement. See a summary of the Fig. 1a bis 5b A user (not shown) of the seating furniture equipped with the base frame 2 thus has the option of accessing each of the aforementioned settings of the base frame 2 separately, for example, by selecting the desired setting using a control unit (not shown) that transmits signals to the control system. Of course, the respective setting can be accessed not only in the above-mentioned order, but also in the reverse order. The base frame 2 is additionally designed such that the transition from the seat setting of the base frame 2 to the heart-balance setting of the base frame 2 or one of the aforementioned intermediate settings of the base frame 2 positioned between the seat setting and the heart-balance setting takes place in combination with a forward movement of the seat part 4 parallel to the support surface in order to simultaneously implement a so-called wall-away function in the base frame 2. See also the relevant explanations in the introduction to the description. The . Fig. 2a , 3a , 4a and 5a correspond to the Fig. 1b and the Fig. 2b , 3b , 4b and 5b correspond to the Fig. 1d .

[0017] The base frame 2 is further designed such that the transfer of the base frame 2 from its seat setting to its lounge setting takes place solely by means of the first linear actuator 10 of the two linear actuators 10, 12, from its lounge setting to its lounge comfort setting solely by means of the second linear actuator 12 of the two linear actuators 10, 12, from its lounge comfort setting to its television setting solely by means of the second linear actuator 12, and from its television setting to its heart-balance setting solely by means of the first linear actuator 10, wherein the first linear actuator 10 is arranged in a force-transmitting manner between a rear cross strut 14 of the seat part 4 and a front cross strut 16 of the seat part 4, and the second linear actuator 12 is arranged in a force-transmitting manner between the front cross strut 16 of the seat part 4 and a cross strut 18 of the foot part 8.

[0018] In addition, the seat part 4 of the base frame 2 has two side assemblies 20, 22 arranged parallel to one another and connected by means of the rear and the front cross strut 14, 16, wherein the base frame 2 has, in addition to the aforementioned cross struts 14, 16, a rear synchronization strut 24 and a front synchronization strut 26 for synchronizing a movement of individual parts of the two side assemblies 20, 22, and wherein the rear synchronization strut 24 is arranged on a coupling element 28 of each side assembly 20, 22, which coupling element 28 connects the back part 6 to the seat part 4 in an articulated manner, and the front synchronization strut 26 is arranged on the seat part 4 in such a way that the front synchronization strut 26 is arranged essentially directly adjacent to the front cross strut 16 in the seat adjustment of the base frame 2. See in particular the Fig. 6a bis 6c , whereby the respective position of the details according to the Fig. 6b und 6c in the Fig. 6a each marked with a circular line. In the present embodiment, the cross struts 14, 16 and the synchronization struts 24, 26 are connected to a remainder of the seat part 4 by means of self-tapping screws 30. See, for example, the Fig. 10a bis 10d , whereby the respective position of the details according to the Fig. 10b bis 10d in the Fig. 10a each marked with a circle. Furthermore, the respective side assembly 20, 22 has a stabilizing device designed as a welded construction with a stabilizing part 32 and a slide part 33 guided longitudinally movable thereto for the articulated connection of the seat part 4 to the foot part 8, wherein the respective slide part 33 has a base body running parallel to the side assembly 20, 22 with an L-shaped cross-section and a rectangular tube welded to this base body for holding a scissor mechanism of the foot part 8. For the purpose of screwing the respective slide part 33 to the corresponding scissor mechanism, the rectangular tube has a flange at its free end. See, for example, the Fig. 7a, 7b , where in the Fig. 7b only one of the two slide parts 33 is shown individually. However, both stabilizing parts 32 and both slide parts 33 are mirror-symmetrical to each other, so that the Fig. 7b also applies to the carriage part 33, which is not shown separately. The same applies to the stabilizing part 32, which is shown separately, according to the Fig. 9f und 9g .

[0019] The base frame 2 additionally has a plurality of springs (not shown) which are arranged in a force-transmitting manner on individual parts of the base frame 2 which can be moved relative to one another by means of the two linear actuators 10, 12, whereby the spring holders 34 of these individual parts required for this purpose are each formed from the corresponding individual part of the base frame 2. See, for example, the Fig. 8a bis 8d , whereby the respective position of the details according to the Fig. 8b bis 8d in the Fig. 8a each marked with a circular line. The spring holders 34 can, for example, as in the present embodiment, be punched out of the respective individual part. Analogous to the aforementioned spring holders 34, Fig. 8a bis 8d invisible spring mounts of the side assembly 20. In the present embodiment, plate-like individual parts of the base frame 2 are at least partially stiffened with beads 35 and / or struts 36 welded onto the respective individual part. See the Fig. 9a bis 9g . The respective plate-like component can, for example, be deep-drawn to produce a bead 35. Analogous to the aforementioned beads 35 and struts 36, Fig. 9a bis 9g invisible beads and struts of the individual parts of the opposite side assembly 20, 22 corresponding to the individual parts shown are formed. Individual parts of the base frame 2, which can be moved relative to one another by means of the two linear actuators 10, 12, are connected to one another in the present embodiment in such a way that mutually corresponding end positions of these individual parts can be realized by means of mutually corresponding mechanical stops of these individual parts, wherein a travel range of the base frame 2 is mechanically limited by means of the aforementioned mechanical stops, namely in such a way that the mechanical stops of these individual parts are formed as a pairing of bolt 38 and through hole 40 on the one hand and bolt 42 and recess 44 on the other hand. See the Fig. 11a bis 11c , 12a bis 12c , 13a bis 13c , 14a bis 14c and 15a bis 15c , whereby the respective position of the details according to the Fig. 11b und 11c , 12b und 12c , 13b und 13c , 14b und 14c and 15b and 15c in the corresponding Fig. 11a , 12a , 13a , 14a and 15a each marked with a circular line.

[0020] The functioning of the base frame according to the invention and the seating furniture equipped therewith according to the present embodiment is described below with reference to the Fig. 1a bis 15c briefly explained.

[0021] First, the base frame 2 is located in the Fig. 1a bis 1d shown seat adjustment, wherein the foot part 8 is folded in its stowed length under the seat part 4 in the seat adjustment. Furthermore, the base frame 2 is in one of its end positions of the travel range of the base frame 2; see the Fig. 11a bis 11c . The respective piston 13, 15 of the linear actuators 10, 12 is in a retracted position, so that the respective linear actuator 10, 12 has a stroke of 0%, i.e. 0 cm. The pistons 13, 15 and their mechanical connection with the respective cross strut 16, 18 are shown in the Fig. 1a bis 1d not shown. For the purpose of transferring the base frame 2, for example from its seat position to its heart-balance position according to the Fig. 5a, 5b , the user actuates the control unit (not shown) of the base frame 2 accordingly, so that initially only the first linear actuator 10 is controlled in such a way that the piston 13 of the linear actuator 10 is extended approximately 1 / 3 of the total stroke of the linear actuator 10. The base frame 2 is in its lounge setting according to the Fig. 2a, 2b and the Fig. 12a bis 12c After reaching the lounge setting of the base frame 2, the second linear actuator 12 is controlled by the control system in such a way that the piston 15 of the second linear actuator 12 is also extended approximately 1 / 3 of the total stroke of the linear actuator 12. The base frame 2 is in its lounge comfort setting according to the Fig. 3a, 3b and the Fig. 13a bis 13c . The linear actuator 12 is then controlled by the control system in such a way that the piston 15 of the linear actuator 12 extends further, namely until the total stroke of the linear actuator 12 is realized. The base frame 2 is in its television setting according to the Fig. 4a, 4b and the Fig. 14a bis 14c , whereby the foot part 8 has been transferred from its folded position to its unfolded position and from its stowed length to its extended length. Finally, the piston 13 of the linear actuator 10 is extended further, namely until the total stroke of the linear actuator 10 has also been realized. The base frame 2 is in its heart-balance setting according to the Fig. 5a, 5b and the Fig. 15a bis 15c . As can be seen from the Fig. 15a bis 15c As can also be seen, the base frame 2 is simultaneously in its other end position of the travel range of the base frame 2.

[0022] Of course, it is not absolutely necessary to perform the adjustment of the base frame 2 in the manner explained above, from its seat adjustment to its heart-balance adjustment. Instead, it is possible by means of the invention according to the present exemplary embodiment to approach, i.e. adjust, each of the aforementioned settings of the base frame 2 in a similar manner. Accordingly, the base frame 2 can, for example, be moved from any previous setting of the base frame 2 to any other desired setting of the base frame 2 by means of a corresponding operation on the control unit. For example, the adjustment can also be performed in the reverse order, for example from the heart-balance adjustment of the base frame 2 to its seat adjustment. Accordingly, the aforementioned adjustment steps are then carried out in the reverse order.

[0023] The invention is not limited to the present embodiment. See, for example, the relevant statements regarding optional or alternative embodiments of the invention in the introduction to the description and in the textual explanation of the embodiment. Bezugszeichenliste
