[0001] Description
[0002] title
[0003] Actuating device for a braking system, method for producing an actuating device for a braking system
[0004] The invention relates to an actuating device for a brake system having an actuatable master brake cylinder, with a gear device having a displaceable threaded spindle, wherein the master brake cylinder can be actuated by a displacement of the threaded spindle, with an electric motor for driving the gear device, and with a housing in which the threaded spindle is at least partially arranged, wherein an anti-rotation element is connected to the threaded spindle in a rotationally fixed manner, and wherein the housing has at least one rotation counter-stop which cooperates with a rotation stop of the anti-rotation element to form an anti-rotation device for the threaded spindle.
[0005] Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing an actuating device for a braking system, wherein a housing with at least one rotational counter-stop and a gear device with a displaceable threaded spindle are provided, wherein a rotation-locking element is connected to the threaded spindle in a rotationally fixed manner, wherein the gear device is arranged such that the threaded spindle is at least partially arranged in the housing and a rotational stop of the rotation-locking element cooperates with the rotational counter-stop of the housing to form a rotation lock for the threaded spindle, and wherein an electric motor is operatively connected to the gear device such that the gear device can be driven by the electric motor.
[0006] State of the art A hydraulic braking system of a motor vehicle typically has several friction brake devices that are hydraulically connected to a master brake cylinder of the braking system. When the master brake cylinder is actuated, hydraulic fluid is displaced into the slave cylinders of the friction brake devices, so that the friction brake devices then generate a friction braking torque. An actuating device is typically present to actuate the master brake cylinder. With the increasing electrification of motor vehicles, actuating devices of braking systems are also becoming increasingly electrified. An actuating device of the type mentioned above is known, for example, from the published patent application DE 10 2020 208 764 A1. The actuating device has a transmission device with a displaceable threaded spindle. The transmission device can be driven by an electric motor of the actuating device. If the actuating device is installed as intended in the braking system, the master brake cylinder can be actuated by moving the threaded spindle. The actuating device also has a housing with at least one rotational counter-stop. The threaded spindle is at least partially arranged in the housing. To prevent rotation of the threaded spindle relative to the housing, a rotation-locking element is provided that is rotationally fixed to the threaded spindle. The rotational counter-stop of the housing interacts with a rotational stop of the rotation-locking element to form a rotation lock for the threaded spindle.
[0007] Disclosure of the invention
[0008] The actuating device according to the invention is characterized by the features of claim 1 in that the housing is an extruded profile, and the rotary counter-stop is formed by an extruded structure of the extruded profile. An extruded profile is a component manufactured by extrusion or extrusion. An extruded profile has the same cross-sectional area across its entire longitudinal extent, except for any subsequent processing performed on the extruded profile. The cross-sectional area of an extruded profile corresponds, in terms of its shape, to the opening of the extrusion die used to produce the extruded profile. Extruded profiles are typically inexpensive to manufacture, so that the manufacturing costs for the actuating device can be reduced by designing the housing as an extruded profile. An extrusion structure is a structure of the extrusion profile produced by extrusion. Extrusion allows structures suitable for forming the rotary counter-stop to be easily realized. Because the rotary counter-stop is formed by an extrusion structure, complex post-processing to form the rotary counter-stop is unnecessary. This means that the costs for manufacturing the actuating device can be further reduced. Particularly preferably, the housing or the extrusion profile is made of aluminum. According to the invention, the threaded spindle is at least partially arranged in the housing or the extrusion profile. Preferably, the threaded spindle projects into the housing, so that the threaded spindle is only partially arranged in the housing. Alternatively, the threaded spindle is arranged entirely in the extrusion profile. The housing is preferably tubular and thus has a circumferential shell wall that defines or encloses a housing interior. The anti-rotation element is preferably formed separately from the threaded spindle and fastened to the threaded spindle. Alternatively, the anti-rotation element is preferably formed integrally with the threaded spindle. The anti-rotation element is preferably arranged at an end of the threaded spindle facing the master brake cylinder.
[0009] According to a preferred embodiment, a displacement axis of the threaded spindle is oriented perpendicular to the cross-sectional area of the extruded profile. This allows for the operative connection of the threaded spindle to the master brake cylinder to be easily implemented. The master brake cylinder is preferably arranged on an end face of the extruded profile.
[0010] According to a preferred embodiment, the transmission device comprises a spindle transmission, wherein the spindle transmission comprises the threaded spindle and a rotatably mounted spindle nut, wherein the spindle nut is rotatable in a first direction of rotation and in a second direction of rotation opposite to the first direction of rotation, and wherein the anti-rotation device is designed to block rotation of the threaded spindle both in the first direction of rotation and in the second direction of rotation. By designing the anti-rotation device in this way, it is achieved that the threaded spindle can be displaced by rotating the spindle nut along the displacement axis both in a first direction and in a second direction opposite to the first direction, depending on the direction of rotation of the spindle nut.
[0011] The extrusion profile preferably has at least one first rotational counter-stop oriented counter to the first direction of rotation and at least one second rotational counter-stop oriented counter to the second direction of rotation, wherein the first rotational counter-stop interacts with a first rotational stop of the rotation-preventing element, and wherein the second rotational counter-stop interacts with a second rotational stop of the rotation-preventing element. Preferably, the first rotational counter-stop and the second rotational counter-stop are part of the same extrusion structure of the extrusion profile. Alternatively, the first rotational counter-stop and the second rotational counter-stop are preferably part of different extrusion structures of the extrusion profile. Preferably, the extrusion profile has a plurality of first rotational counter-stops spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction of the extrusion profile and / or a plurality of second rotational counter-stops spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction of the extrusion profile.
[0012] According to a preferred embodiment, the extrusion structure is a groove extending through the extrusion profile, and a radial projection of the anti-rotation element engages radially into the groove. A groove extending through the extrusion profile is, on the one hand, technically easy to implement by extrusion. Furthermore, a groove is particularly suitable for forming the anti-rotation device. The aforementioned first anti-rotation stop and the aforementioned second anti-rotation stop are preferably formed by different side walls of the groove.
[0013] Preferably, the groove extends axially through the extrusion profile relative to the displacement axis of the threaded spindle. The extrusion profile preferably has a plurality of grooves extending through the extrusion profile, which are spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction of the extrusion profile. Particularly preferably, two grooves are provided that are diametrically opposite one another.
[0014] The rotation counter-stop preferably has a sliding coating. This sliding coating allows for low-friction guidance of the anti-rotation element and thus of the threaded spindle in the extrusion profile. For example, the sliding coating is made of a plastic, particularly PTFE.
[0015] According to a preferred embodiment, the anti-rotation element has a sliding block, which forms the rotation stop. The sliding block also allows for low-friction guidance of the anti-rotation element and thus of the threaded spindle in the extrusion profile. The sliding block is preferably made of plastic. If the anti-rotation element has the sliding block, the aforementioned anti-friction coating is preferably omitted.
[0016] The actuating device preferably has a pressure force transmitter displaceably mounted in an opening in the threaded spindle, wherein the pressure force transmitter is connected to an input rod of the actuating device, and wherein the master brake cylinder can be actuated by a displacement of the pressure force transmitter. The master brake cylinder can therefore be actuated both by means of the threaded spindle through the electric motor and by means of the pressure force transmitter through the input rod. By mounting the pressure force transmitter in the opening of the threaded spindle, a particularly advantageous connection of both the pressure force transmitter and the threaded spindle to the master brake cylinder can be achieved. In particular, both the threaded spindle and the pressure force transmitter are arranged or aligned coaxially with hydraulic pistons displaceably mounted in the master brake cylinder.According to a preferred embodiment, a shell wall of the extruded profile has a flat first mounting surface, and a control unit of the actuating device is arranged on the first mounting surface. Because the first mounting surface is flat, it is particularly suitable for arranging a control unit. Furthermore, flat mounting surfaces can be easily realized by extrusion. The control unit is preferably designed to control the electric motor.
[0017] According to a preferred embodiment, the casing wall has a flat second mounting surface, and the electric motor is arranged on the second mounting surface. Because the second mounting surface is flat, it is particularly suitable for arranging the electric motor. Furthermore, flat mounting surfaces are easily realized by extrusion.
[0018] The casing wall preferably has at least one opening. The opening is preferably formed by reworking the extrusion profile. For example, the opening is milled into the casing wall. The opening in the casing wall can fulfill various tasks in the actuating device. The casing wall preferably has an opening into which a sensor is inserted, which is designed to monitor the sliding positions of the threaded spindle and the pressure force transmitter. Alternatively or additionally, the casing wall preferably has at least one opening through which a gear shaft of the gear device is rotatably mounted. Alternatively or additionally, the casing wall preferably has at least one opening through which at least one electrically conductive motor phase supply line protrudes.
[0019] The method according to the invention is characterized by the features of claim 13 in that the housing, including the rotary counter-stop, is manufactured by extrusion. This also results in the aforementioned advantages. Further preferred features and combinations of features emerge from the above description and from the claims. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.
[0020] Figure 1 is a perspective view of an actuating device for a braking system,
[0021] Figure 2 is a sectional view of the actuating device,
[0022] Figure 3 shows a housing of the actuating device,
[0023] Figure 4 shows another representation of the housing and
[0024] Figure 5 shows a method for manufacturing the actuating device.
[0025] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of an actuating device 1 for a braking system 2 of a motor vehicle (not shown in detail). The actuating device 1 has a housing 3. The housing 3 is tubular and therefore has a circumferential jacket wall 4 that encloses a housing interior 5 of the housing 3. A disc-shaped housing part 7 is arranged on an end face 6 of the housing 3. In the present case, the housing part 7 is fastened to the housing 3 by a plurality of fastening means 8. The housing part 7 has a plurality of fastening structures 9 for fastening the actuating device 1 to a body of the motor vehicle.
[0026] The actuating device 1 also has a drive unit 10 arranged on the housing 3. The drive unit 10 has an electric motor 12 arranged in a motor housing 11 and is therefore not visible in Figure 1. The actuating device 1 also has a control unit 13. The control unit 13 is arranged on the housing 3 on a side of the housing facing away from the drive unit 10. The control unit 13 is designed to control the electric motor 12. A master brake cylinder 14 is arranged on a further end face of the housing 3 facing away from the end face 6, in which master brake cylinder two hydraulic pistons 15 are displaceably mounted. If the actuating device 1 is installed as intended in the braking system 2, the master brake cylinder 14 is fluidly connected to slave cylinders of friction brake devices of the braking system 2.
[0027] Figure 2 shows a longitudinal section of the actuating device 1. The actuating device 1 has a gear device 16. The gear device 16 is operatively connected to the electric motor 12 such that the gear device 16 can be driven by the electric motor 12. The gear device 16 has a displaceably mounted threaded spindle 17. The threaded spindle 17 projects through an opening 18 in the housing part 7 into the housing interior 5 of the housing 3 and is thus partially arranged in the housing interior 5 of the housing 3. The threaded spindle 17 is displaceable along a displacement axis in a first direction 19 and in a second direction 20 opposite to the first direction 19. The directions 19 and 20 are aligned perpendicular to the cross-sectional area of the housing 3. The threaded spindle 17 is part of a spindle gear 21 of the gear device 16.In addition to the threaded spindle 17, the spindle gear 21 has a rotatably mounted spindle nut 22. The spindle nut 22 is rotatable in a first direction of rotation 42 and in a second direction of rotation 43 opposite the first direction of rotation 42. An internal toothing of the spindle nut 22 meshes with an external toothing of the threaded spindle 17. To ensure that the threaded spindle 17 is displaced upon rotation of the spindle nut 22 instead of rotating with the spindle nut 22, the threaded spindle 17 is assigned an anti-rotation device 23. For this purpose, an anti-rotation element 24 is provided, which is fastened to the threaded spindle 17, in this case at an end of the threaded spindle 17 facing the master brake cylinder 14. According to a further exemplary embodiment, the anti-rotation element 24 is formed integrally with the threaded spindle 17.The anti-rotation element 24 cooperates with the housing 3 to form the anti-rotation device 23, as will be explained in more detail below. In this case, a pot-shaped thrust body 25 is attached to the anti-rotation element 24.
[0028] The actuating device 1 also has a pressure force transmitter 26 mounted displaceably relative to the threaded spindle 17, wherein the pressure force transmitter 26 also protrudes through the opening 18 into the housing interior 5 and is thus partially arranged in the housing interior 5 of the housing 3. The pressure force transmitter 26 is displaceable in the first direction 19 and in the second direction 20. In the present case, the pressure force transmitter 26 is mounted in an opening 27 of the threaded spindle 17. According to the embodiment shown in Figure 2, the pressure force transmitter 26 is designed in several parts. For this purpose, the pressure force transmitter 26 has a rod-shaped section 28 arranged in the opening 27. In addition, the pressure force transmitter 26 has a pressure cap 29 which is arranged at an end of the pressure force transmitter 26 facing the master brake cylinder 14.The pressure cap 29 is attached to the rod-shaped section 28, in this case by crimping. An end of the pressure force transmitter 26 facing away from the master brake cylinder 14 is connected to an input rod 30, so that the pressure force transmitter 26 can be displaced by the input rod 30. In this case, the pressure force transmitter 26 is connected to the input rod 30 by a ball joint 31. An end of the input rod 30 facing away from the pressure force transmitter 26 is attached to a brake pedal (not shown).
[0029] The master brake cylinder 14 can be actuated both by moving the threaded spindle 17 and by moving the pressure force transmitter 26. Actuating the master brake cylinder 14 means moving the hydraulic pistons 15 in the first direction 19. If the actuating device 1 is installed as intended in the brake system 2, this displaces hydraulic fluid from the master brake cylinder 14 into the slave cylinders of the friction brake devices, so that the friction brake devices then generate a friction braking torque. In this case, the threaded spindle 17 and the pressure force transmitter 26 are operatively connected or can be operatively connected to the hydraulic pistons 15 by a coupling element 32. The coupling element 32 has an elastically deformable coupling disc 33 and a rigid push rod 34.If the master brake cylinder 14 is actuated by the electric motor 12, the electric motor 12 acts on the hydraulic pistons 15 via the threaded spindle 17, the anti-rotation element 24, the thrust body 25, and the coupling element 32. If the master brake cylinder 14 is actuated by actuating the brake pedal, the brake pedal acts on the hydraulic pistons 15 via the input rod 30, the pressure force transmitter 26, and the coupling element 32.
[0030] The structure of the housing 3 is explained in more detail below with reference to Figures 3 and 4. Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the housing 3. Figure 4 shows a view of the housing 3 in which the viewing direction corresponds to the first direction 19. The housing 3 is an extrusion profile 3. This means that the housing 3 is manufactured by extrusion. A component manufactured by extrusion has the same cross-sectional area at every point along its longitudinal extent, apart from any subsequent processing carried out on the component. In the present case, the housing 3 or the extrusion profile 3 is made of aluminum. As can be seen from the figures, the housing interior 5 has a circular cross-section.
[0031] As previously mentioned, the anti-rotation element 24 cooperates with the housing 3 to form the anti-rotation device 23. For this purpose, the housing 3 has a plurality of grooves 35 which extend through the casing wall 4 of the housing 3 in the housing interior 5. In the present case, there are two grooves 35 which are diametrically opposite one another. The grooves 35 are oriented perpendicular to the cross-sectional area of the housing 3 and thus extend in the axial direction with respect to the displacement axis of the threaded spindle 17. The grooves 35 are each formed by a base 36, a first rotational counter-stop 37 and a second rotational counter-stop 38, wherein the rotational counter-stops 37, 38 are opposite one another. The first rotational counter-stops 37 are oriented opposite the first rotational direction 42 of the spindle nut 22. The second rotational counter-stops 38 are oriented opposite the second rotational direction 43 of the spindle nut 22.In the present case, the rotational counter-stops 37, 38 are aligned perpendicular to the base 36. Alternatively, the rotational counter-stops 37, 38 are aligned obliquely to the base 36. For example, an angle between the base and the rotational counter-stops 37, 38 is 60° in each case. The grooves 35 are extrusion structures 35 of the extrusion profile 3. This means that the grooves 35 are produced by extrusion. The grooves 35 are therefore already visible in an opening of the extrusion tool used to produce the extrusion profile 3. The rotation-locking element 24 has a number of radial projections 39 corresponding to the number of grooves 35. Each of the radial projections 39 engages radially in a different one of the grooves 35 to form the rotation lock 23. The radial projections 39 each have a first rotational stop 40 and a second rotational stop 41. The first rotation stops 40 are located opposite the first rotation counter stops 37 of the grooves 35.The second rotation stops 41 are opposite the second rotation counter stops 38 of the grooves 35.
[0032] If the anti-rotation element 24 and thus the threaded spindle 17 are subjected to a torque acting in the first direction of rotation 42 by the spindle nut 22, the first rotation stops 40 of the radial projections 39 come into contact with the first rotation counter-stops 37 of the grooves 35. This blocks the rotation of the anti-rotation element 24 and thus the threaded spindle 17 in the first direction of rotation 42. If the anti-rotation element 24 and thus the threaded spindle 17 are subjected to a torque acting in the second direction of rotation 43 by the spindle nut 22, the second rotation stops 41 of the radial projections 39 come into contact with the second rotation counter-stops 38 of the grooves 35. This blocks the rotation of the anti-rotation element 24 and thus the threaded spindle 17 in the second direction of rotation 43.The rotation stops 40, 41 of the anti-rotation element 24 thus cooperate with the rotation counter-stops 37, 38 of the extrusion profile 3 to form the anti-rotation device 23.
[0033] According to the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the figures, the radial projections 39 each have a plastic sliding block 44, wherein the sliding blocks 44 form the rotation stops 40, 41. The plastic sliding blocks 44 ensure low-friction guidance of the anti-rotation element 24 in the grooves 35. According to a further exemplary embodiment, the grooves 35 have a sliding coating, at least in the area of the rotation counter-stops 37, 38. The provision of a sliding coating can also ensure low-friction guidance of the anti-rotation element 24 in the grooves 35. If the sliding coating is present, the sliding blocks 44 are omitted. As can be seen from the figures, the extrusion profile 3 or the housing 3 also has several structures that are not manufactured by extrusion, but rather by post-processing the extrusion profile 3.For example, the housing 3 has a housing step 45 milled into the casing wall 4. In addition, the casing wall 5 has a plurality of openings 46, 47, 48 formed in the region of a first mounting surface 49 of the casing wall 4. When the actuating device 1 is assembled as intended, the control unit 13 is arranged on the first mounting surface 49. A first opening 46 of the openings 46, 47, 48 is rectangular. When the actuating device 1 is assembled as intended, a sensor is arranged in the first opening 46 and is designed to monitor the sliding positions of the threaded spindle 17 and the pressure force transmitter 26. A second opening 47 of the openings 46, 47, 48 is circular. If the actuating device 1 is assembled as intended, a gear shaft 50 of the gear device 17, in this case designed as a worm shaft 50, projects from the housing interior 6 into the opening 47 or through the opening 47. In particular, the gear shaft 50 is rotatably mounted by a bearing surface 51 delimiting the second opening 47. For example, a pivot bearing is present which acts between the gear shaft 50 and the bearing surface 51. A third opening 48 of the openings 46, 47, 48 is also circular. If the actuating device 1 is assembled as intended, several electrically conductive motor phase leads 52 protrude through the third opening 48 into the housing interior 5. As can be seen from Figure 2, the extrusion profile 3 or the housing 3 also has a fourth opening 53 and a fifth opening 54.The openings 53 and 54 are formed in the region of a second mounting surface 55 of the casing wall 4. When the actuating device 1 is assembled as intended, the electric motor 12 or the drive unit 10 is arranged on the second mounting surface 55. The fourth opening 53 is aligned with the second opening 47. The gear shaft 50 projects through the fourth opening 53 from the housing interior 5 into the motor housing 11. In this case, the gear shaft 50 therefore projects through the housing 3. The fifth opening 54 is aligned with the third opening 48. The motor phase supply lines 52 project through the fifth opening 54 into the motor housing 11. The motor phase supply lines 52 also project through the housing 3. The motor phase supply lines 52 are electrically connected to a motor winding of the electric motor 12 on the one hand and to the control unit 13 on the other.
[0034] Figure 5 shows a method for manufacturing the actuating device 1 using a flow chart.
[0035] In a first step S1, the housing 3 is manufactured. The housing 3, together with the rotational counter-stops 37, 38, is manufactured by extrusion. The housing 3 is thus obtained as an extruded profile 3, as previously mentioned. The rotational counter-stops 37, 38 are formed by extruded structures 35 of the extruded profile 3, in this case by the grooves 35. In a second step S2, the extruded profile 3 is post-processed. For example, the structures 45, 46, 47, 48, 53, 54 are milled into the extruded profile 3. In a third step S3, the gear mechanism 16 with the displaceable threaded spindle 17 is provided. In a fourth step S4, the anti-rotation element 24 is connected to the threaded spindle 17 in a rotationally fixed manner. According to a further embodiment, the anti-rotation element 24 is manufactured in one piece with the threaded spindle 17. The threaded spindle 17 is then installed together with the anti-rotation element 24 into the gear mechanism 16.In a fifth step S5, the gear mechanism 16 is arranged such that the threaded spindle 17 is at least partially arranged in the housing 3, and the rotation stops 40, 41 of the anti-rotation element 24 interact with the counter-rotation stops 37, 38 of the extruded profile 3 to form the anti-rotation device 23. In a sixth step S6, the electric motor 12 is operatively connected to the gear mechanism 16 such that the gear mechanism 16 can be driven by the electric motor 12.
