Claims

1. Cooking appliance (1) comprising at least one housing device (2) and at least one extension (3) which is movably received within the housing device (2), the extension (3) being associated with at least one locking device (4) in order to secure the extension (3) against unintentional displacement in at least one locking position (5), the locking device (4) comprising at least one locking element (6) and at least one locking element receptacle (7), the locking element (6) being received, in the locking position (5), at least partially in the locking element receptacle (7) and being secured in the locking position (5) by at least one preloading device (8) and characterised in that at least one sensor device (24) is included in order to detect whether the locking element (6) is in the locking position (5).
