Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to an assembly aid for mounting an awning box on a roofing device. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for mounting an awning box on a roofing device. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
[0002] General awnings are stored in a retracted position in an awning box and can be extended using a tension beam to hold the awning in place when extended. Awnings are often installed under or above a roof structure, for example, in tarmac roofs or conservatories, particularly to span the roof structure below or above infill. The awning can then be extended along the roof structure.
[0003] With so-called roof-mounted awnings, which run above the infill or roofing structure, the relatively heavy awning (typically around 60-100 kg) must be positioned with the awning box above the infill and above the rafters before the awning guide rails can be connected to the awning box. This has traditionally required enormous effort from installers. Furthermore, installation poses a risk for the installers, who must align and hold the awning box freehand at a height of the roof, usually between 3 and 4 meters. Due to the varying angles of inclination of the roofing structure, for example, in a range of 2° to 30°, installation can be additionally complicated and dangerous.
[0004] In known devices or methods, the guide rails are first firmly mounted, and then the heavy awning, comprising the awning box with drive and the awning fabric wound inside it, is threaded into the rail and secured. Side blades, for example, are provided to facilitate installation. However, this has the disadvantage of requiring very precise alignment of the not-yet-installed awning box to prevent it from jamming with the guide rails. In particular, the angle and position of the awning box must be precisely aligned in a "loose" state.
[0005] Ground-mounting the awning box with the guide rails is generally not possible, as this requires a crane, and torsional displacement of the assembled structure during transport to the roof is almost impossible to avoid. This makes awning installation particularly difficult and dangerous for the installers, and it is essential to prevent the awning from falling down.
[0006] This is a situation that needs to be improved. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide an improved possibility for mounting awnings on roofing.
[0008] According to the invention, this object is achieved by an assembly aid having the features of patent claim 1 and / or by a method having the features of patent claim 9.
[0009] Accordingly, it is provided:A mounting aid for mounting an awning box on a roofing device, in particular for an awning above a roofing device, with a base element which is designed for temporary fastening to an infill of the roofing device and / or to a rafter and with an adapter element which is fixed to the base element and has a contact side for supporting the awning box, wherein the contact side has a contour adapted to the awning box.A method for mounting an awning box on a roofing device, in particular for an awning above a roofing device, comprising the following steps: fastening at least one mounting aid to an infill of the roofing device and / or to a rafter with a base element, wherein an adapter element is fixed to the base element and has a contact side for supporting the awning box, wherein the contact side has a contour adapted to the awning box, and placing the awning box on the at least one mounting aid, wherein the awning box is held securely supported by the contour in one mounting step.
[0010] The underlying insight of the present invention is that an assembly aid, which can be removed after installation, facilitates aligned installation of the awning. Because the awning box, which is quite heavy, can be supported during installation, an installer can align and subsequently install the awning box with respect to a roofing structure without great effort.
[0011] The idea underlying the present invention is to design a mounting aid that can be used for differently shaped awning boxes and that, thanks to its shape, holds and aligns the awning in the predetermined mounting position. For this purpose, an adapter element is provided that has a contact side for contacting any awning box, wherein the contact side has a contour that can be adapted to the shape of the awning box. In particular, the contour can be a contour specially designed for aligning and supporting a predetermined awning box.
[0012] The mounting aid can serve as a secure support during the installation process, allowing the awning box to be positioned precisely in the position required for subsequent installation of the guide rails. According to the invention, the awning box is positioned first using the mounting aid, and only then are the awning rails mounted to the roofing. In the case of a roof-mounted awning, the awning box can thus be laid down, in particular at a predetermined distance from and aligned with the roofing device, and the comparatively lightweight guide rails can then be mounted on the roofing device. This prevents the awning box from slipping, as it is securely held in place by the adapter element. This allows for precise alignment and fine adjustment of the awning box to the guide rails, safely and conveniently. Finally, the awning box and awning rails are preferably moved parallel to the rafters or infill toward the wall connection and secured in their final position. The mounting aid can then be removed and reused for subsequent installations.
[0013] The assembly aid according to the invention is not a fastening device for the awning box. Rather, it is a support and alignment element in an intermediate position during the assembly process.
[0014] The base element is therefore only intended for temporary attachment to the roofing structure. The base element can, for example, be placed on an infill panel. Furthermore, the base element can be placed on a rafter or pushed into it. The base element can also be hooked onto a rafter, or tensioned, clamped, or screwed to it. After installation, it is released and removed. The base element is made, in particular, from a dimensionally stable material, in particular from a metal material or from an aluminum material. The base element serves to dissipate the forces, whereby the base element can transfer the forces from the awning box into the rafters or the infill panel.
[0015] The adapter element is, in particular, detachably fixed to the base element. This allows different adapter elements to be combined with the same base element. The adapter element serves, in particular, to form the assembly aid for differently shaped awning boxes. For this purpose, the adapter element has a contact side that can be individually designed. For example, a contour adapted to the awning box is provided on the contact side, which can, for example, correspond to a negative form of a surface side of the awning box. The contour is, in particular, designed such that the awning box can be placed on the contact side, thereby preventing slipping relative to the adapter element. For example, the contour can be U-shaped, in particular have a ramp shape.
[0016] The adapter element is molded from a foam material. This offers advantages because it can be manufactured cost-effectively. In particular, foam can be easily milled, making it cost-effective to create different contours and customize contour adjustments. If necessary, this design also allows for easy manual adjustment or rework by the installer to respond to individual requirements.
[0017] Furthermore, the foam prevents the awning box from sustaining surface damage, particularly in the form of scratches, when placed on the adapter element. Furthermore, it offers a high coefficient of friction to securely hold the awning box once it has been placed on it.
[0018] Advantageous embodiments and further developments emerge from the further subclaims and from the description with reference to the figures of the drawing.
[0019] In an advantageous embodiment, the base element can have a recess with which the base element can be placed on the rafter in an aligned manner. In particular, the base element can be placed on the rafter in a single, predetermined orientation, thus eliminating assembly errors. The recess can be shaped to fit the rafter, in particular U-shaped and / or, for example, have a rectangular, square, or V-shaped cross-section. This allows the base element to be pushed or plugged onto a rafter from above or from the side. The recess can be adapted to the shape of the rafter as a partial negative mold.
[0020] According to one embodiment, a rubber coating or a comparable material layer is provided on the surface of the recess as a type of protector, so that scratching or other damage or visual impairment of the rafter by the assembly aid is prevented, in particular when plugging it in place.
[0021] In an advantageous embodiment, a clamping device can be arranged on the base element, which is designed to fasten the base element to the rafter. This ensures that the mounting aid is positioned at a desired position on the rafter. In particular, several mounting aids can be arranged next to one another, whereby they can be arranged on the same section with respect to the respective longitudinal axis of the respective rafter. This enables alignment of the awning box, in particular orthogonal to the rafters.
[0022] In an advantageous embodiment, the clamping device can have at least one clamping screw. The clamping screw can, in particular, be designed as a star-grip screw, so that it can be assembled and disassembled on-site without the need for tools. The clamping screw can, for example, have a pressure piece opposite the star-grip, which is particularly designed with a rubberized surface. This pressure piece allows the clamping screw to press against the rafter when it is tightened, thereby fixing the mounting aid to the rafter in a desired position.
[0023] In an advantageous embodiment, the recess of the base element can be lined with a protector, in particular a rubber coating, to prevent installation marks on the rafter. The clamping device, in particular, has internal pressure pieces that press against the protector. Protectors are preferably provided on all contact surfaces with which the base element contacts the rafter, so that damage to the rafter can be avoided during installation and removal of the installation aid. The protector can preferably also contribute to shaping the geometry of the recess to match the geometry of the rafter. Different protectors can be inserted into the recess to make the base element compatible with different rafters.
[0024] In an advantageous embodiment, the base element can have at least two fastening arms which are designed to rest on and / or be fastened to an infill. In such an embodiment, the base element is therefore preferably not fastened to a rafter, but rather placed directly on the infill. This means that the assembly aid can be used universally and, in particular, can be fixed to the roofing device independently of existing rafters. The base element in particular has a type of bridge, with the two fastening arms provided on opposite sides. For example, two fastening arms can be provided on each side. The arms can, for example, be provided with a rubber coating to prevent damage to the structure. In particular, the fastening arms are angled relative to a central section of the base element, so that a central section does not come into contact with the infill. The central section serves in particular to fix the adapter element, which can be designed as previously described.
[0025] In an advantageous embodiment, at least one vacuum fastening element can be provided on each of the fastening arms, which is designed to releasably fix the base element to the infill. The vacuum fastening elements can be designed as a type of suction cup and, in particular, have a lever element by means of which the vacuum fastening elements can be released or fixed without the need for tools.
[0026] In an advantageous embodiment, the base element and the adapter element can be releasably fixed to one another via a form-fitting contour. For example, a pin with an extension can be provided on the base element, which can be inserted into a corresponding recess with an undercut in the adapter element in order to connect the two elements to one another. Thus, a geometric design can create a cost-effective and tool-free connection between the base element and the adapter element, whereby in particular different materials can be connected to one another quickly and easily. This is particularly advantageous if the adapter element is to be replaced because a different geometry is required for a different awning box. Furthermore, a recess with an undercut can be provided in the base element, into which recess a pin with an extension of the adapter element can engage.
[0027] In an advantageous embodiment, the contour can form a dovetail joint. This allows a tenon with an extension and a recess with an undercut to be implemented using a simple geometry that is particularly cost-effective to manufacture.
[0028] In an advantageous embodiment, a securing element can be provided that can be releasably fixed to the base element and is intended for temporarily fastening the awning box to the base element. The securing element can be designed as a type of cable or safety cord or tensioning element, in particular as a steel cable. In the case of a steel cable, this is in particular provided with a rubber coating so that damage to the awning box, in particular through scratches, is prevented. The securing element can also be temporarily connected to the base element via an eyelet or hook in order to fix the awning box to the installation aid during installation. In this way, the securing element can be guided around the cross-section of the awning box and temporarily fixed or hooked with both ends to corresponding hooks or eyelets on the base element.
[0029] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, after placing the awning box on the mounting aid, a securing element can be attached to temporarily secure the awning box to the mounting aid. This can be designed as described above. After installation, the securing element can be easily removed from the hooks or eyes.
[0030] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, the at least one mounting aid can be mounted on the infill and / or the rafter before the awning guide rails are mounted on the awning box. Consequently, the awning box is first placed in alignment with the rafters or the recess before the guide rails are mounted. Advantageously, this eliminates the need to hold the awning box free to guide the awning into the guide rails.
[0031] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, the height of the mounting aid can be adapted to the height of the guide rail brackets, or vice versa. This allows the awning box to be mounted at the same height as the guide rails relative to the roofing device, even with different designs. If the guide rails are subsequently connected to the awning box, the entire structure, i.e. the awning box including the guide rails, is supported by the guide rail brackets. Consequently, the awning box can be moved towards a mounting wall along the brackets, as the guide rails can slide over the brackets in a desired orientation and height before they are finally fixed in place.
[0032] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, the at least one mounting aid can be mounted at a distance from a mounting wall for final assembly of the awning box to the infill or to the rafter. This offers particular advantages because the mounting aid can therefore be shaped independently of the roof pitch. The only decisive factor is the distance at which the awning box is mounted from the rafters or the infill, without the mounting aid coming into contact with the mounting wall. This allows the awning box to continue to be aligned and supported in an ergonomically accessible position on the roofing structure, which offers further advantages during installation.
[0033] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, after the guide rails have been installed, the awning box can be moved into a final position for installation on the mounting wall, whereby the mounting aid is released and can be removed. In this case, the guide rails slide, in particular, over the brackets arranged on the rafters to hold or guide the guide rails.
[0034] Since the mounting aid can be removed, it can be used for the subsequent installation of a different awning on a different roofing system. The adapter element can also be replaced, for example, if the awning box has a different geometry.
[0035] In a further embodiment, the base element could also be replaced if the rafters of the roofing device have a different geometry or if the assembly aid needs to be supported on an infill.
[0036] In an advantageous embodiment of the method, at least two mounting aids can be mounted at a distance from each other on the infill and / or on the rafter. This allows for secure support of the awning box at at least two support points. Of course, three or more mounting aids are also conceivable.
[0037] The above embodiments and further developments can be combined with one another as desired, where appropriate. In particular, all features of the assembly aid can be combined with the assembly method, and vice versa. Further possible embodiments, further developments, and implementations of the invention also include combinations of features of the invention not explicitly mentioned above or described below with regard to the exemplary embodiments. In particular, the person skilled in the art will also add individual aspects as improvements or additions to the respective basic form of the present invention. TABLE OF CONTENTS OF THE DRAWING

Other embodiments and many of the noted advantages will be apparent upon reference to the drawings. Elements of the drawings are not necessarily shown to scale relative to one another.
[0040] In the figures of the drawing, identical, functionally identical and acting elements, features and components are provided with the same reference symbols, unless otherwise stated. DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
[0041] Fig. 1shows a base element 5 in one possible embodiment. The base element 5 is designed for temporary attachment to the infill of a roofing device and / or to a rafter. The base element 5 is formed, in particular, from a dimensionally stable material, such as, in particular, a metal material or aluminum material.
[0042] A recess 11 is provided on the underside of the base element 5 so that the base element 5 can be pushed or clipped onto a rafter. A form-fitting contour 15, which is particularly dovetail-shaped, is provided on the upper side of the base element 5. An adapter element 8, for example, shown in Figure 2 , to the base element 5. For this purpose, the adapter element 8 has a complementary contour 15, which is in particular also dovetail-shaped.
[0043] The adapter element 8 can have different designs, so that different adapter elements 8 can be combined with different base elements 5. This makes it possible to provide an assembly aid 1 that can be used for different rafter geometries and different awning boxes. The adapter element 8 also has a contact side 9 on which a contour 10 is formed. The contour 10 can, for example, be U-shaped or have a ramp geometry or a ramp. The contour 10 can be used to form a type of negative mold of a surface of the awning box 2, so that the awning box 2 can be securely placed or held securely.
[0044] Furthermore, hooks 17 or eyelets can be provided on different side surfaces of the base element 5, which serve for the attachment of a securing element 16, which is shaped in particular as a type of cable, tensioning element and / or steel cable, and which can be equipped with a rubber coating.
[0045] Fig. 2 shows different adapter elements 8. The adapter elements 8 have different heights, so that the height of the mounting aid 1 can be adjusted to the height at which the awning box 2 is to be mounted at a distance from the roofing device 3. The adapter element 8 is made, in particular, of a foam material and can therefore be milled cost-effectively. Likewise, the contour 10 can be individually adjusted, whereby contours 10 that deviate from the illustrated geometry are also possible.
[0046] Fig. 3shows an embodiment of an assembly aid 1 before the assembly of the base element 5 and the adapter element 8. It can be seen that the adapter element 8 is inserted laterally into the base element 5.
[0047] Fig. 4 shows the embodiment from Fig. 3 in a further illustration. The assembled state is shown. In one embodiment, side limits 18 can also be provided, which ensure positioning of the adapter element 8 relative to the base element 5. The side limits 18 can be designed as a lever or cantilever arm. The side limits 18 can be mounted at specific points. The side limits 18 can rotate with respect to a fixed point, on the one hand to enable the adapter element 8 to be pushed on, and on the other hand to prevent the adapter element 8 from moving relative to the base element 5.
[0048] Fig. 5shows different embodiments of assembly aids 1. The different adapter elements 8 are made of Figure 2 used to position the awning box at a corresponding height relative to the other components of the roofing device 3. The mounting aid 1 is mounted on a rafter 7, whereby the base element 5 of the mounting aid 1 can be pushed onto the rafter, for example, from the side or from above. After mounting the mounting aid 1 on a rafter 7, the awning box 2 can be Figure 8 shown, placed on the contact side 9 of the adapter element 8.
[0049] Fig. 6shows two mounting aids 1 mounted on two rafters 7. The two mounting aids 1 form two fixed points on which the awning box 2 can be placed in alignment. As shown in the illustration, the awning box is mounted floating above the roofing device 3, with the rafters 7 being used as support for the mounting aid 1. In a further embodiment, for example according to Figure 14 , the assembly aid can also be supported on the infill 6 arranged between the rafters 7, for example shown in Figure 11 .
[0050] In Fig. 7It can be seen that clamping screws 21 are provided on the base element 5 in order to clamp the base element 5 to the rafter 7. The clamping screws 21 are designed in particular as star-grip screws and have pressure pieces that press against the rafter 7 when the screws are tightened. Furthermore, a different clamping device 12 can be provided, which enables a temporary fixation of the assembly aid 1 to the rafter 7. In a further embodiment, only one clamping screw 21 can be provided. This can, for example, be provided centrally on the base element 5.
[0051] Fig. 8 and 9shows an assembly aid 1 with a securing element 16. In the illustrated assembly step, the awning box 2 is placed on the contact side 9 of the adapter element 8, wherein it can be seen that the awning box 2 and the adapter element 8 have complementary surfaces. Due to the inclination of the roofing device 3 in conjunction with the contour 10, the awning box 2 is therefore securely held on the assembly aid 1. The awning 4 is arranged in the awning box 2 with the tension bar, wherein the tension bar also rests complementarily on the contact side 9. To prevent the awning box 2 from slipping, a securing element 16 is provided, which can be designed as a tensioning element or cable element. This can be fixed on opposite sides in a respective hook 17 on the base element 5.
[0052] In Fig. 9an assembly step is shown in which the guide rails 19 are mounted on brackets 13, wherein the brackets 13 support the guide rails 19 at a distance from the rafters 7. The guide rails 19 are mounted in particular after the awning box 2 has been placed on the mounting aid 1, so that the awning box 2 can be aligned relative to the guide rails 19 without great expenditure of force. For this purpose, brackets 13 are first mounted on the rafters 7 in order to place the guide rails 19 there. The height of the mounting aid 1 is preferably adapted to the height of the brackets 13, in particular by a corresponding shape of the adapter element 8, so that the guide rails 19 and the awning box 2 can be arranged at the same height above the roofing device.
[0053] After or during the installation of the guide rails 19, the tension bar with the awning fabric can be threaded into the guide rails. Flat tension rails, preferably pre-tensioned by a gas pressure spring, are particularly preferred. A pull-out safety device is preferably used to ensure safe threading of the awning fabric or tension bar. If the pull-out safety device is removed, the pre-tension of the gas pressure spring acts on the tension bar and the awning fabric, thus enabling the awning to function.
[0054] Fig. 10shows a further assembly step when installing an awning 4. After placing the awning box 2 on the assembly aid 1 and connecting the awning to the guide rails 19, the awning box 2 can be coupled to the guide rails 19. The guide rails 19, together with the awning box 2, can then be moved parallel to the rafters 7 toward a mounting wall 20 so that the awning box 2 can be brought into contact with a mounting device or the mounting wall 20. This ensures that the awning box 2 rests over the wall connection.
[0055] Fig. 11 shows a further assembly step, whereby after contacting the awning box 2 with the mounting wall 20, the mounting aids 1 can be removed easily and without tools.
[0056] Fig. 12 and 13show a further embodiment of an assembly aid 1. The base element 5 has four fastening arms 22, which are designed to rest on and / or fasten to an infill 6. At least one vacuum fastening element 14 is provided on each of the fastening arms 22, which is designed to releasably fix the base element 5 to the infill 6. In such an embodiment, the assembly aid 1 can be used very universally, whereby assembly can take place directly on the infill 6 regardless of the position of the rafters 7. For this purpose, the base element 5 is designed, in particular, to be bridge-shaped or arched, with at least one fastening arm 22 being provided on each of two opposite sides. Using the vacuum fastening elements 22, for example designed as a suction cup, the assembly aid 1 can be fixed, for example, on a glass infill on two sides next to the rafter 7.The base element 5 can span the rafter 7 like a bridge and contact the infills 6 to the right and left of the rafter 7. Thus, the bridge can also be adapted to the contour of the rafter 7. In particular, in such an embodiment, the same base element 5 can always be used, regardless of the actual rafter geometry. Furthermore, the vacuum fastening elements can also be loosened or fastened without tools.
[0057] Although the present invention has been fully described above using preferred embodiments, it is not limited thereto but can be modified in many ways. List of reference symbols
