Advantages of the invention

[0004] The invention is based on a bed edging device, in particular a bed edging, with at least one first frame element which is intended to delimit a first side of a bed, with at least one second frame element which is intended to delimit a second side of a bed, and with at least one corner connection unit which is intended to connect the first frame element to the second frame element.

[0005] It is proposed that the corner connection unit comprise a first connecting element integrally connected to the first frame element and a second connecting element integrally connected to the second frame element, wherein the first connecting element is provided for a direct, detachable connection to the second connecting element, free from any further connecting means. The first connecting element and the second connecting element are, in particular, designed to correspond.

[0006] In this context, a "bed edging device" is understood to mean, in particular, a device for delimiting, in particular for raising and enclosing, a bed. The bed edging device is preferably designed to enclose a bed all around. The bed edging device is preferably designed to be set up and filled with humus soil or the like. The bed edging device preferably has, in particular, four boundary sides. The bed edging device is formed, in particular, by a bed edging, in particular, a raised bed edging. The bed edging device forms, in particular, a preferably rectangular frame for enclosing a bed. The bed edging device preferably comprises at least two, in particular, four frame elements. The bed edging device preferably comprises a first frame element, a second frame element, a third frame element, and a fourth frame element. In this context, a "frame element" is understood to mean, in particular, an element that forms at least one frame leg of the bed edging device. The frame element preferably forms at least one boundary wall, which is intended to delimit a bed in at least one direction. The frame element preferably comprises at least one side wall, which is intended to directly delimit a bed. The side wall is formed, in particular, by a flat, rectangular partial element of the frame element, which forms one side of the bed edging device. The bed edging device has in particular a cuboid shape which is open at least upwards, in particular upwards and downwards, wherein the side wall forms at least one side of the cuboid.

[0007] In this context, a "corner connection unit" is understood to mean, in particular, a unit designed to connect at least two frame elements. The corner connection unit is preferably designed to connect at least two, in particular exactly two, frame elements to one another at a defined angle. The corner connection unit is preferably designed to connect two frame elements to one another at an angle of at least approximately 90°. The corner connection unit is particularly designed for a plug-in connection. The corner connection unit comprises, in particular, two correspondingly designed connecting elements designed to be detachably connected to one another. The connecting elements of the corner connection unit are preferably arranged on different frame elements. The connecting elements of a corner connection unit are, in particular, arranged on frame elements to be connected to one another. The connecting elements are particularly designed to form a positive, detachable plug-in connection. The connecting elements each have at least one tab, wherein the tabs, in a connected state, are designed to contact one another and define an angle between the frame elements. The expression "at least approximately 90°" is intended here to define, in particular, an orientation of a direction relative to a reference direction, wherein the direction and the reference direction, particularly viewed in a projection plane, enclose an angle of 90°, and the angle has a maximum deviation of, in particular, less than 8°, advantageously less than 5°, and particularly advantageously less than 2°. "Positively locking" is to be understood, in particular, as meaning that abutting surfaces of positively connected components exert a holding force on each other in the normal direction of the surfaces. In particular, the components are in geometric engagement with each other.

[0008] "Integral" should be understood in particular to mean at least materially connected, for example by a welding process, an adhesive process, an injection molding process, and / or another process deemed appropriate by a person skilled in the art, and / or advantageously formed in one piece, such as by production from a single casting and / or by production using a single- or multi-component injection molding process, and advantageously from a single blank. Preferably, the first connecting element is formed in one piece with the first frame element, and the second connecting element is formed in one piece with the second frame element. Advantageously, the term "integral" should also be understood to mean one-piece. "Integral" should be understood in particular to mean formed in one piece.Preferably, this single piece is produced from a single blank, a mass, and / or a cast, particularly preferably using an injection molding process, in particular a single-component and / or multi-component injection molding process. Preferably, the first connecting element and the first frame element, as well as the second connecting element and the second frame element, each consist of a sheet metal.

[0009] In this context, "free of any additional connecting means" should be understood in particular to mean that the connection between the connecting elements is made directly via the connecting elements themselves and does not require any additional connecting means such as screws, rivets, or the like. Preferably, the connection of the corner connection unit is also free of any additional material connection, such as a welded or adhesive connection between the connecting elements.

[0010] "Intended" should be understood in particular to mean specifically programmed, designed, and / or equipped. The fact that an object is intended for a specific function should be understood in particular to mean that the object fulfills and / or performs this specific function in at least one application and / or operating state.

[0011] The inventive design of the bed edging device makes it possible to provide, in particular, an advantageously stable and easy-to-install bed edging device. In particular, a bed edging device can be provided that can be quickly and easily assembled directly by the end customer themselves. Furthermore, the number of parts can be advantageously kept to a minimum. In particular, connecting elements such as screws or rivets can be dispensed with.

[0012] It is further proposed that the first frame element has at least one side wall which extends parallel to a main extension plane of the first frame element, wherein the first connecting element directly adjoins the side wall and extends away from the side wall at an angle of at least approximately 45°. Preferably, the first connecting element and the side wall enclose an angle of at least approximately 45°. Preferably, the first frame element has a main extension direction which corresponds to a main extension direction of the side wall. Preferably, the first connecting element adjoins the side wall at one end of the side wall along the main extension direction. A connecting edge between the side wall and the connecting element extends in particular perpendicular to the main extension direction of the side wall.A main extension plane of the connecting element forms, in particular, an angle of at least approximately 45° with a main extension plane of the frame element. A "main extension plane" of a structural unit is to be understood, in particular, as a plane that is parallel to a largest side surface of a smallest imaginary cuboid that just completely encloses the structural unit, and in particular, runs through the center of the cuboid. A "main extension direction" of an object is to be understood, in particular, as a direction that runs parallel to a longest edge of a smallest geometric cuboid that just completely encloses the object. This advantageously allows for a defined angle to be provided between the frame elements. Furthermore, this advantageously allows for a one-piece frame element with a connecting element to be provided.

[0013] Furthermore, it is proposed that the first connecting element be formed by a tab, in particular a sheet metal tab. Preferably, the first connecting element is formed by a rectangular tab, in particular a sheet metal tab, which directly adjoins the side wall. Preferably, the first connecting element and the side wall are made of the same continuous material. The tab is in particular flat. A width of the first connecting element is in particular at least 3 cm, preferably at least 5 cm and particularly preferably at least 7 cm. A height of the first connecting element corresponds in particular to a height of the side wall. This makes it possible in particular to provide an advantageous first connecting element. In particular, an advantageously simple first connecting element can be provided.

[0014] It is further proposed that the second frame element has at least one side wall which extends parallel to a main extension plane of the second frame element, wherein the second connecting element directly adjoins the side wall and extends away from the side wall at an angle of at least approximately 45°. Preferably, the second connecting element and the side wall enclose an angle of at least approximately 45°. Preferably, the second frame element has a main extension direction which corresponds to a main extension direction of the side wall of the second frame element. Preferably, the second connecting element adjoins the side wall of the second frame element at one end of the side wall along the main extension direction.A connecting edge between the side wall of the second frame element and the second connecting element extends, in particular, perpendicular to the main extension direction of the side wall of the second frame element. A main extension plane of the second connecting element forms, in particular, an angle of at least approximately 45° with a main extension plane of the second frame element. This advantageously allows a defined angle to be provided between the frame elements. Furthermore, this advantageously allows for the provision of a one-piece frame element with a connecting element.

[0015] It is further proposed that the second connecting element is formed by a tab, in particular a sheet metal tab, with a fold, wherein the fold is intended to partially encompass the first connecting element. Preferably, the second connecting element comprises a rectangular tab, in particular a sheet metal tab, which directly adjoins the side wall. Preferably, the second connecting element and the side wall are made of the same continuous material. The tab is in particular flat. A width of the second connecting element is in particular at least 3 cm, preferably at least 5 cm and particularly preferably at least 7 cm. A height of the first connecting element corresponds in particular to a height of the side wall. The fold adjoins directly the tab on a side facing away from the side wall of the second frame element. The fold is in particular folded over by at least 180° relative to the tab.The fold, together with the tab, forms a closed fold. The fold is formed by a folded edge. Preferably, the fold is provided to accommodate the first connecting element between the fold and the tab of the second connecting element. Preferably, when the corner connection unit is connected, the fold is provided to encompass a free front edge of the tab of the first connecting element in a plane perpendicular to a main extension plane of the second frame element. This makes it possible, in particular, to provide an advantageous second connecting element. In particular, it is possible to provide an advantageously simple and, in particular, easy-to-manufacture corner connection unit.

[0016] It is also proposed that the first frame element, the second frame element, and the corner connection unit consist at least largely of a steel sheet. Preferably, the first frame element, the second frame element, and the corner connection unit consist entirely of a steel sheet. The first frame element, the second frame element, and the corner connection unit consist at least largely of a coated steel sheet, a stainless steel sheet, or a CorTen steel sheet. However, other materials deemed appropriate by a person skilled in the art would also be conceivable. This makes it possible, in particular, to provide an advantageously stable bed edging device.

[0017] It is further proposed that the first frame element and the second frame element each have a material thickness between 1 mm and 3 mm. Preferably, the first frame element and the second frame element each consist of a steel sheet with a material thickness between 1 mm and 3 mm. This makes it possible to provide, in particular, an advantageously stable and lightweight bed edging device.

[0018] It is further proposed that the bed edging device has a third frame element, which is intended to delimit a third side of a bed, a fourth frame element, which is intended to delimit a fourth side of a bed, and at least three corner connection units, which are provided for connecting the frame elements, wherein each of the frame elements is formed integrally with at least a first connection element of one of the corner connection units and a second connection element of a further corner connection unit. Preferably, the frame elements are each formed identically. Preferably, the corner connection units are formed identically. In particular, the bed edging device has exactly four corner connection units, namely in particular a first corner connection unit, a second corner connection unit, a third corner connection unit and a fourth corner connection unit.Preferably, each of the frame elements is formed integrally with a first connecting element and a second connecting element of each of the corner connection units. This makes it possible to provide, in particular, an advantageously rectangular bed edging device. In particular, a bed edging device consisting of identical frame elements can be provided. This makes it possible to keep the number of components, especially identical components, to a minimum.

[0019] It is further proposed that the first connecting element of the first corner connecting unit is arranged at a first end of the first frame element and a second connecting element of the fourth corner connecting unit is arranged on a second end facing away from the first end, wherein the first frame element is formed integrally with the first connecting element of the first corner connecting unit and integrally with a second connecting element of the fourth corner connecting unit.

[0020] Preferably, each of the frame elements is formed integrally with a first connecting element and a second connecting element of each of the corner connecting units. Preferably, the first connecting element of the second corner connecting unit is arranged at a first end of the second frame element, and a second connecting element of the first corner connecting unit is arranged on a second end facing away from the first end. Preferably, the first connecting element of the third corner connecting unit is arranged at a first end of the third frame element, and a second connecting element of the second corner connecting unit is arranged on a second end facing away from the first end. Particularly preferably, the first connecting element of the fourth corner connecting unit is arranged at a first end of the fourth frame element, and a second connecting element of the third corner connecting unit is arranged on a second end facing away from the first end. This makes it possible to provide, in particular, an advantageously rectangular bed edging device. In particular, a bed edging device consisting of identical frame elements can be provided.

[0021] It is further proposed that at least two of the four frame elements be identically constructed. Preferably, at least the first frame element and the third frame element are identically constructed. Furthermore, the second frame element and the fourth frame element are preferably identically constructed. This makes it possible, in particular, to provide an advantageously rectangular bed edging device. In particular, a bed edging device consisting of identical frame elements can be provided. This makes it possible, in particular, to keep the number of different components to a minimum.

[0022] Furthermore, the invention is based on a method for assembling the bed edging device. It is proposed that the frame elements be pushed into one another perpendicular to a mounting plane via the at least one corner connection unit, thus creating a statically determined system.

[0023] The bed edging device according to the invention and the method are not intended to be limited to the application and embodiment described above.
