Description

[0001] The invention relates to an anti-panic push bar for actuating a door lock of an escape door or emergency exit door with the features of the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Emergency exit doors in buildings are typically equipped with a switchable locking device, so they are normally locked and cannot be accessed. However, in an emergency or panic situation, these doors should be easy to open and therefore accessible to everyone.

[0003] This typically involves an electrically operated door lock, which can be activated by an emergency button. Activating the emergency button deactivates the door lock and simultaneously generates an alarm signal. The door can then be opened using a panic bar, thus providing an escape route.

[0004] A corresponding panic push bar is known from DE 10 2013 000 285 A1. This patent shows an anti-panic push bar for a panic door comprising a base profile that can be mounted on the door leaf and an actuating profile that can be actuated against the base profile to open a door lock.

[0005] German patent DE 10 2014 113 654 A1 discloses a panic push bar for a door, comprising a housing with a base profile and an actuation profile. To provide information to the user, this panic push bar features a display for showing image or text information. The display is integrated into the housing in the area of the door's closing edge.

[0006] To eliminate the need for an additional door lock, the anti-panic push bar can be equipped with an electrically switchable locking device. Such a panic push bar is already known from EP 2 348 172 A2. This panic push bar also features a base profile that can be mounted flush with the door leaf and an actuating profile that can be actuated towards the base profile to open a door lock. A door opener, located in the base profile and interacting with the transmission mechanism between the actuating profile and the base profile, allows the actuation of this anti-panic push bar to be electrically locked or unlocked. However, a disadvantage is that asymmetrical actuation of the actuating profile can cause it to jam, leading to jamming.Furthermore, the force distribution is suboptimal for the door opener due to the transmission mechanism, resulting in increased holding forces. Additionally, it is necessary to design a separate anti-panic push bar for each door width, as the length of this anti-panic push bar cannot be easily adjusted to different door widths.

[0007] The object of the present invention is to create an electrically switchable anti-panic push bar for escape doors or emergency exit doors, which overcomes the disadvantages known from the prior art.

[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by an anti-panic push bar with the features of claim 1.

[0009] According to the invention, an anti-panic push bar for actuating a door lock of an escape door or emergency exit door is proposed, comprising a base profile that can be mounted resting on a door leaf and an actuating profile extending parallel to the longitudinal direction of the base profile, which is movably mounted relative to the base profile, as well as a sliding device arranged in the base profile with at least one slide, which is connected via a nut drive or a crank rod to an output nut for actuating a door lock, and wherein the output nut can be connected to a lock nut of the door lock by means of a pin, further comprising a transmission device for transmitting a movement of the actuating profile to the sliding device. The essential point is that either two door openers or two emergency exit openers are provided, with each of the door openers or emergency exit openers being arranged in the area of one end of the base profile outside the actuation profile and outside the base profile in such a way that each of the two door openers or emergency exit openers can switchably block actuation of the actuation profile.

[0010] In particular, the anti-panic push bar features an electrically switchable locking device comprising two door openers or escape door openers.

[0011] By using two door openers or emergency exit openers, each positioned at the end of the anti-panic push bar, a symmetrical force distribution is achieved. This means that even if the actuating profile is subjected to uneven pressure, the force is distributed across both door openers or emergency exit openers, preventing the actuating profile from tilting or jamming. A further advantage is that by positioning the door openers or emergency exit openers outside the base profile and the actuating profile at the end, the design of the base profile and actuating profile, particularly its length, remains flexible, eliminating the need for a separate anti-panic push bar design for each length variant. In particular, by simply shortening the base and operating profile, the length of the anti-panic push bar can be individually adjusted to the respective existing door width, without having to change the design with regard to the electrical locking device with the two door openers or escape door openers.

[0012] Preferably, indirect locking of the actuation profile is understood to mean that the door openers or emergency exit openers interact with the actuation profile via an interposed gear element. The gear element can be, for example, the sliding device or the transmission device.

[0013] Preferably, the direct blocking of an actuation of the actuating profile is understood to mean a direct action of the door opener or emergency exit opener on the actuating profile or on components directly connected to the actuating profile, in particular rigidly connected components. Such components can be, for example, lateral cover caps or reinforcing profiles arranged within the actuating profile.

[0014] An emergency exit door opener is understood to be, in particular, a door opener approved according to a guideline for escape routes or emergency exit doors. Such a guideline could be, for example, a model building code, DIN 18091, the EltVTR, or a corresponding VdS guideline.

[0015] In one embodiment, the two door openers or emergency exit openers can indirectly block the actuation of the operating profile by interacting with the output nut and / or the crank rod and / or the nut drive and / or the spindle to switchably release or block movement of the output nut and / or the crank rod and / or the spindle. This can be achieved by each door opener or emergency exit opener having a switchable door opener latch that is freely pivotable about a pivot axis when released and fixed in a locked position when locked, and wherein either a stop located on the output nut engages in the door opener latch of one of the two door openers, or a stop located on the crank rod or the nut drive engages in the door opener latch, or the spindle engages directly in the door opener latch. In particular, the nut drive can be designed to transmit a movement of the slide to the output nut and may include one or more levers and / or one or more gears.

[0016] It may be provided that the other of the two door openers or escape door openers is arranged in the area of the opposite end of the actuating profile or base profile and interacts directly or indirectly with a slider of the slider device in order to switchably release or lock a movement of the slider.

[0017] A particular advantage is that the door opener or emergency exit opener engages directly with the drive nut at one end of the anti-panic push bar, and with the sliding mechanism at the opposite end. This allows the door opener to block or release both distal ends of the sliding mechanism. A key benefit is that the forces required to operate the door lock are absorbed directly by the door opener, preventing any distortion of force and travel by interposed gear elements. Furthermore, blocking the sliding mechanism or drive nut at these two distal points compensates for potentially asymmetrical operation of the actuating element, as this two-point blocking ensures automatic force distribution between the first and second door openers or emergency exit openers.

[0018] In an alternative embodiment, it can preferably be provided that the two door openers or emergency exit openers directly block actuation of the actuating profile by arranging one of the door openers or emergency exit openers at each end of the actuating profile in such a way that the door opener or emergency exit opener interacts with the respective end of the actuating profile to switchably block or release movement of the actuating profile onto the base profile.

[0019] In particular, an indirect blocking or locking of the actuation profile is advantageous because no intermediate gear element is required, thus preventing deformation of an intermediate gear element even under high force. Furthermore, the force acting on the actuation profile is absorbed directly and immediately by the two door openers or emergency exit openers, ensuring that the holding force of the door openers or emergency exit openers is available directly and in its full range.

[0020] The holding force typically required for an emergency exit door opener is between 1000 N and 8000 N, preferably between 3000 and 6000 N. This holding force doubles when two emergency exit door openers are used. This means that the holding force available to lock the operating device is always sufficient to effectively prevent manual operation of the anti-panic push bar.

[0021] The symmetrical application of force and the arrangement of the two door openers or emergency exit openers at opposite ends of the actuating profile ensure that the force is applied in a distributed manner, particularly symmetrically, thus preventing jamming or tilting and guaranteeing safe unlocking in an emergency.

[0022] In particular, it may be provided that the actuating profile has a stop at each end which engages in a pivot latch of the respective door opener or emergency exit opener, or that the actuating profile has a groove at each end into which a pivot latch of the respective door opener or emergency exit opener engages.

[0023] For example, in a particularly stable mechanical design, it may be provided that the actuating profile has a reinforcing profile at one end or a reinforcing profile at both ends, preferably made of a metal and / or an aluminium, wherein the reinforcing profile is connected to the actuating profile or wherein both reinforcing profiles are connected to the actuating profile.

[0024] Advantageously, it can be provided that the stop of the actuating profile, or that the groove of the actuating profile, is formed on one of the reinforcement profiles or on both reinforcement profiles.

[0025] For a visually appealing appearance, it can be provided, for example, that the actuating profile has a cover cap at one end or a cover cap at each end, preferably made of a metal and / or an aluminum and / or a plastic, wherein the cover cap is connected to the actuating profile or wherein the cover caps are connected to the actuating profile, and that the stop of the actuating profile, or that the groove of the actuating profile, is formed on the cover cap or on both cover caps.

[0026] In an advantageous embodiment, it can be provided that one of the door openers or emergency exit openers, or both door openers or emergency exit openers, are arranged on a slide profile, wherein the slide profile is detachably mounted on the base profile, in particular being slidably mounted on the base profile.

[0027] The sliding profile can be inserted into the base profile from the side and screwed in place. The base profile can have a profile recess complementary to the sliding profile, into which the sliding profile can be inserted laterally. The sliding profile can then be fixed in the base profile using clamping screws. In this way, it is possible to upgrade an anti-panic push bar with an electrically switchable locking device encompassing the two door openers or emergency exit openers by extending the base profile laterally over the sliding profile with the door openers. Thus, an anti-panic push bar can be retrofitted with an electrically switchable locking device.

[0028] In one embodiment, one or both of the door openers or emergency exit openers may be mounted on a bracket, in particular screwed to the bracket. The bracket allows adjustment of the necessary distance between the door opener or emergency exit opener, or its pivot latch, and the stop or groove of the actuating profile that engages the pivot latch. Furthermore, the bracket can ensure a mechanically stable mounting of the door opener or emergency exit opener.

[0029] In particular, it may be provided that the console is arranged between the slide profile and the base profile.

[0030] To ensure a visually appealing appearance, it is specifically designed that one or both of the door openers or emergency exit openers are positioned so that their longitudinal extension runs perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the base profile and perpendicular to the direction of actuation of the actuating profile. This ensures that the cross-section or dimensions of the base profile of the anti-panic push bar are not increased by the door openers or emergency exit openers. In other words, visually, the emergency exit openers or door openers are positioned within the circumference of the base or actuating profile of the anti-panic push bar.

[0031] Preferably, the longitudinal extent of the base profile is understood to mean its longest extent. Similarly, the longitudinal extent of the door opener is understood to mean its longest extent.

[0032] In particular, it may be provided that the cross-section of the base profile has a greater extent than the longitudinal extent of the door opener or emergency exit opener, or that both door openers or emergency exit openers have a greater extent, so that the door opener or emergency exit opener, or both door openers or emergency exit openers, are arranged completely within the cross-section of the base profile when viewed from the front.

[0033] In one design, the door opener or emergency exit opener, or both, may be configured as fail-safe openers. Specifically, a fail-safe opener is understood to be a door opener or emergency exit opener that is unlocked when de-energized. This ensures that the emergency exit remains accessible in the event of a power failure. To lock the emergency exit, a fail-safe opener requires a supply of electrical energy.

[0034] In an alternative embodiment, the door opener or emergency exit opener, or both, may be designed as fail-safe openers, and an emergency power supply with a battery or rechargeable battery is provided, in particular that the emergency power supply is located within the anti-panic push bar to enable actuation of the operating profile in the event of a power failure. Specifically, in this context, a fail-safe opener is understood to mean that the emergency exit opener or door opener must be energized to release the anti-panic push bar. Consequently, an emergency power supply or UPS is also necessary to ensure safe passage through the door in an emergency. One advantage of this design is that when the door is unlocked, the usual and familiar door opener buzzer sounds, so that a user hears the familiar door opener buzzer when the door is unlocked.

[0035] An anti-panic push bar can be used in escape routes or rescue routes in buildings. It can also be combined with fire alarm systems, smoke detectors, or other fire alarm devices. The anti-panic push bar can also be controlled via access control systems. Upon authorization, verified by a key or transponder, the anti-panic push bar is released, allowing access to the escape door without triggering an alarm. After access has been granted and the system has released the anti-panic push bar, it can be re-armed, meaning the emergency exit or escape door can be locked again.

[0036] The figures illustrate further exemplary embodiments of the invention, which are described below. These include: Fig. 1: a sectional view of an anti-panic push bar according to the invention; Figs. 2a and 2b: a detailed enlargement in the area of the end of an anti-panic push bar according to the invention with immediate locking of the actuating profile in the unactuated position; Figs. 3a and 3b: the anti-panic push bar according to the invention. Figuren 2a und 2b in the actuated position; Figs. 4a and 4b: a sectional view of the ends of the anti-panic push bar with indirect locking of the actuating profile; Figs. 5a and 5b: a view of the actuating profile with cover cap and reinforcement profile; Fig. 6: an escape route safety device with the anti-panic push bar according to the invention.

[0037] The embodiments shown in the figures are exemplary and should not be understood as limiting. Features functioning identically have been designated with the same reference symbols. It is obvious to a person skilled in the art that, within the scope of their technical expertise and the application of the patent claims, they can combine the embodiments shown in the figures without infringing upon the scope of protection afforded by the claims.

[0038] In the Fig. 1 Figure 1 shows a schematic sectional view of the anti-panic push bar 2 according to the invention. The anti-panic push bar 2 has a base profile 22, which can be mounted on a door leaf, for example by screwing it in place. The base profile 22 forms, so to speak, the back of the anti-panic push bar 2. The front of the anti-panic push bar 2 is formed by an actuating handle in the form of the actuating profile 21. When pressure is applied to the actuating profile 21, it is moved towards the base profile 22 along the illustrated direction of movement 7.

[0039] The anti-panic push bar 2 comprises a transmission device 26 or a gearbox 26 to transmit the movement of the actuating handle 21 to a sliding device 23. The sliding device 23 is arranged at the base of the base profile and comprises at least one slide 24. The slide 24 is connected to an output nut 25, which is connected via a pin 252 to the follower of a door lock to unlock the door lock. When pressure is applied to the actuating profile 21, the slide 24 moves, rotates the output nut and thereby the follower of the lock to unlock the associated door lock, allowing the associated escape door or emergency exit door to be opened.

[0040] The base profile 22 has a U-shaped cross-section with forward-facing open side walls. The actuating profile 21 also has a substantially U-shaped cross-section and is guided within the side walls of the base profile. This means that when the actuating profile 21 is actuated, it moves into the base profile 22.

[0041] Two cover caps 61 and 62 are provided on the side of the actuating profile to cover the sides of the anti-panic push bar 2.

[0042] To transmit the movement of the actuating profile 21 to the slide 24, the transmission device 26 comprises a first lever 261 and a second lever 262. One end of each lever is connected to the slide assembly or to at least one slide 24. The other end of each lever 261, 262 interacts with the actuating profile. When the actuating profile 21 moves along the direction 7 shown, the two levers 261, 262 each pivot about a pivot axis and thereby move the slide 24 of the slide assembly 23 along the longitudinal direction of the base profile.

[0043] The anti-panic push bar 2 comprises an electrically switchable locking device having two emergency exit openers 31 and 32. The two emergency exit openers 31 and 32 are each arranged in the area of one end of the base profile 22 and act in the illustration of the Fig. 1 directly connected to the actuation profile 21. This electrical locking device allows the operation of the anti-panic push bar 2 to be electrically locked or unlocked. Locking the anti-panic push bar 2 prevents unauthorized access to the door. In the event of authorized access or an alarm, the actuation handle 21 is unlocked, allowing pressure on the actuation profile 21 to depress it and thereby unlock the door lock of the escape door or emergency exit door.

[0044] In the Fig. 2a und 2b are the two ends of the in Fig. 1 The depicted anti-panic push bar is shown enlarged. The two emergency exit door openers 31 and 32 each have an electrically switchable, releaseable or lockable swing latch 331 or 332, respectively. If these swing latches 331, 332 are electrically blocked, any swing movement of the latches is prevented. If the swing latches 331, 332 are electrically released, they can rotate about their pivot axis.

[0045] The two cover caps 61 and 62 each have a stop 41 and 42, respectively, at their lower end facing the two door openers 31 and 32. These stops 41 and 42 are each designed as protruding edges and engage with the respective pivot latch 331 and 332. When the pivot latch 331 or 332 is blocked, this engagement immediately prevents actuation of the actuating profile, since when pressure is applied to the actuating profile 21, the two stops 41 and 42 come into contact with the pivot latches 331 and 332, which are electrically locked and prevent further movement.

[0046] The two door openers 31 and 32 are each mounted on a bracket 35, for example by screws, adhesive, or rivets. The other end of the bracket 35 is positioned on a sliding profile 34. The mounting height of the two door openers 31 and 32 can be adjusted by varying the height of the bracket 35 to adapt them to the required dimensions of the anti-panic push bar 2.

[0047] The door openers 31 and 32 can each be connected to the base profile 22 at their ends via the sliding profile 34. For this purpose, the sliding profile 34 engages laterally with the base profile 22 and can be fixed there, for example by means of clamping screws.

[0048] In the area of the Fig. 2a The output socket 25 is shown between the console 35 and the slide profile 34. The output socket 25 is connected to the slide 24 of the slide device 23 by means of a socket drive 251. The longitudinal movement of the slide 24 is converted into a rotary movement of the output socket 25 by means of the socket drive 251.

[0049] The drive nut can be removed using a mandrel 252 (as in Fig. 4a (shown) are connected to a door lock. The rotary motion of the driven nut 25 is transmitted via the pin 252 to the lock nut in order to unlock the door lock.

[0050] In the Fig. 3a und 3b The activated position of the anti-panic push bar 2 is from Fig. 1 The figures show that the two pivot latches 331 and 332 are each rotated about their pivot axis and the actuating profile 21 is moved towards the base profile 22. The two stops 41 and 42 of the cover caps 61 and 62 are moved past the pivot latches 331 and 332 towards the base of the base profile 22. In this position, the output nut 25 is rotated accordingly and a connected door lock is unlocked.

[0051] In the Fig. 4a und 4b An alternative embodiment of the anti-panic push bar 2 is shown. In contrast to the previously described embodiments, here the two door openers 31 and 32 engage directly to block the actuation of the actuating profile 21. The two door openers 31 and 32 are of identical construction, i.e., they each again have pivotable door opener latches 331 and 332, which can be electrically switched to release and / or lock. In the Fig. 4a The pin 252 is shown, which engages directly in the pivot latch 331 of the door opener 31. The pin 252 is designed as a square pin and engages with one of its longitudinal sides in a form-fitting manner in the pivot latch, so that in the blocked position the pivot latch is prevented from rotating and thus from rotating the output nut 25.

[0052] In the Fig. 4b The door opener 32 is shown on the opposite side of the anti-panic push bar 2. The pivot latch 332 of the door opener 32 interacts with a slide stop 321 to lock or unlock the slide 24 of the sliding device 23. The slide stop 321 is connected to the at least one slide 24, so that when the pivot latch 332 is blocked, the slide 24 cannot move into a position that is in the Fig. 4b The direction shown to the right is prevented by the door opener 32. This prevents movement in the direction shown in the Figuren 4a und 4b In the illustrated embodiment, the actuation of the actuating profile 21 is indirectly blocked by arranging the electrically switchable locking device comprising the two escape door openers 31 and 32 on both sides of the base profile 22 in order to indirectly block movement of the slide 24 of the slide device and thus of the actuating profile 21 via intermediate elements.

[0053] As in the Figuren 4a und 4b As shown, the actuating profile 21 has a reinforcing profile 51 or 52 at each end, which is covered by the end caps 61 or 62. The reinforcing profile 51 or 52 serves to mechanically reinforce the actuating profile 21. The end caps 61 or 62 visually seal off the anti-panic push bar at the sides and provide protection against contact.

[0054] In the Fig. 5a The actuating handle or actuating profile 21 is shown with the end-mounted cover cap 62. The cover cap 62 has two mounting holes 631 and 632, by means of which the cover cap 62 is attached to the part shown in the Fig. 5b The reinforcement profile 52 shown is screwed in place.

[0055] In the Fig. 5b The actuating profile 21 is shown with the cover cap 62 removed. The reinforcing profile 52 is arranged within the actuating profile 21. The reinforcing profile 52 is designed as a 3D ribbed profile and reinforces the inside of the actuating profile 21. The reinforcing profile 52 can be positively inserted into the actuating profile 21, in particular by snapping it into place and / or by gluing and / or screwing it in place. At the lower end of the reinforcing profile 52, two screws or screw threads 531 and 532 are arranged, which correspond to the two mounting holes 631 and 632 of the cover cap 62.

[0056] In the Figuren 5a und 5b Only one end of the activity profile 21 is shown, which corresponds to the representation of the Fig. 4b corresponds to the other end of the activity profile 21, which corresponds to the representation of the Fig. 4a The corresponding structure is analogous.

[0057] In the Fig. 6 An escape route device 1 is shown schematically. The escape route safety device 1 comprises an anti-panic push bar 2 mounted on a door leaf 12 at an escape door 11. The escape door 11 comprises a door leaf pivotally mounted on hinges 131 and 132, which is attached to a door frame 13. A mortise lock 14 is arranged in the door leaf 12, which interacts with the anti-panic push bar 2. The mortise lock 14 can, for example, be designed as a self-locking panic lock.

[0058] The anti-panic push bar 2 is connected via an electrical connection 17, for example an electrical data bus 17, to an emergency button 15 and an alarm transmitter 16. The anti-panic push bar 2 can be switched to and from the electrical connection 17 or the data bus 17.

[0059] In the event of an emergency, pressing the emergency button 15 can trigger an alarm, causing the alarm transmitter 16 to emit an alarm signal and unlocking the anti-panic push bar 2. Subsequently, pressing the actuation profile 21 of the anti-panic push bar 2 unlocks the door lock 14 and opens the door 11 by pivoting the door leaf 12.

[0060] It is also conceivable to connect a fire alarm device, for example a smoke detector or a fire alarm control panel, to the electronic bus 17, or to connect an escape route control system or to connect other components, such as an access control device, in order to electrically switch and / or block the anti-panic push bar 2.
