[0003] Technical field of the invention

[0004] The present invention relates to a device for applying a strip to a joint between two panels.

[0005] When building a wall, panels, such as plasterboard, may be arranged in a row to form the wall. Such panels usually have a tapered edge, corresponding to a reduction in the thickness of the panel at one end edge. Thus, the contact of two tapered edges of two panels forms a joint.

[0006] Such a joint needs to be covered so that it is not visible once the wall construction is finished. Covering such a joint has, among other things, a waterproofing aspect of the wall and an aesthetic aspect. Thus, it is common to use strips of paper, for example, to cover the panel joints.

[0007] The installation of panel joint strips consists in particular of a step of filling the joint with a coating, then a step during which the strip is placed on the fresh coating, then a step of tightening the strip, that is to say a step during which the strip is pressed against the fresh coating in order to expel the air and excess coating under it, then a step of recovering the excess coating. Subsequently the strip is again covered with the same coating which will have to be smoothed.

[0008] When applying the strip, it is necessary to ensure that the strip is properly applied to the plaster while removing excess plaster from the joint and the panels, which could create irregularities on the wall once finished. These steps are tedious and require numerous operations and manipulations by an operator. Also, these steps require numerous tools and their use on panels of a significant height can be complex.

[0009] Thus, the invention proposes to solve the aforementioned problem by making it possible to simplify the installation of the strip at the joint of plasterboards. In particular, the invention proposes a device making it possible to carry out the step of tightening the strip and scraping off the excess plaster simultaneously and with a single device.

[0011] The invention proposes a device for applying a strip arranged at the junction of two panels, the application device comprising at least: a plate which extends in a main longitudinal and transverse plane, the plate comprising at least one scraping member,

[0032] For the description of the invention and the understanding of the claims, the vertical, longitudinal and transverse orientations according to the reference V, L, T indicated in the figures, the longitudinal L and transverse T axes of which extend in a horizontal plane, will be adopted as a non-limiting example and without limiting reference to Earth's gravity. By convention, the longitudinal axis L is oriented from rear to front.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. Device (18) for applying a strip (12) arranged at the joint (14) of two panels (16), the application device (18) comprising at least: a plate (24) which extends in a main longitudinal (L) and transverse (T) plane (P), the plate (24) comprising at least one scraping member (32), - the scraping member (32) comprising at least one blade (46) which extends in a plane intersecting the main plane (P) of the plate (24), - a roller (30) secured to the plate (24) via fixing means (64) allowing the rotation of the roller (30) around a transverse (T) axis of rotation (R), the roller (30) and the scraping member (32) extending on the same side (26) of the plate (24), the roller (30) having the shape of double cones of revolution (68) whose bases (70) are in full contact with each other, the device (18) comprising at least one stop member (56) which extends from the plate (24) towards the blade (46) of the scraping member (32).

Device (18) according to the preceding claim, in which the roller (30) comprises a linear contact zone (LIN) intended to come to bear at least against the strip (12) and the blade (46) of the scraping member (32) comprises a transverse end edge (50), opposite a fixing edge (48) to the plate (24), and intended to come to bear at least against the strip (12), the linear contact zone (LIN) and the transverse end edge (50) extending at least partly in a common longitudinal (L) and transverse (T) plane.

Device (18) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the scraping member (32) comprises two wings (54) which extend on either side of the blade (46), from its transverse end edge (50) and such that the wings (54) extend in a plane intersecting the main plane (P) of the plate (24) and the plane of the blade (46) of the scraping member (32), and in the direction of the roller (30). Device (18) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the transverse end edge (50) of the blade (46) of the scraping member (32) extends along a first transverse dimension (DT1) and the roller (30) extends along a second transverse dimension (DT2), the first transverse dimension (DT1) being greater than the second transverse dimension (DT2). Device (18) according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the at least one stop member (56) comprises a means (56b) for fixing to the plate (24) allowing the vertical movement of said stop member (56) and the holding in position of said stop member (56).Device (18) according to any one of the preceding claims in combination with claim 2, wherein at least the fixing edge (48) of the blade (46) is elastically deformable.
