Abstract
Description
background
[0001] The present invention relates to a hanging device for a shelf. Hanging devices for shelves are used for furniture that includes shelves on which items are stored on several levels. State of the art
[0002] Document US 2,982,423 A shows a generic mounting device for shelves. Each shelf has two hook-like projections that are inserted into corresponding slots in a mounting frame. The hook-like projections are designed such that first, the upper hook-like projection of the shelf is inserted into an upper slot in a position tilted towards the installation position. The shelf is then tilted into the installation position, causing the lower hook-like projection to be inserted into the adjacent slot below. Both hook-like projections have downward-facing notches that accommodate the wall of the mounting frame when installed. The two hook-like projections are located on the back of the shelf. They engage in corresponding slots on the front of the mounting frame.
[0003] A disadvantage of the previously known hanging device is that the slots on the support frame remain visible, even when not needed for a shelf. This solution has proven advantageous for using the shelving unit for storing goods in a retail store, as it is easy to assemble and modularly expandable. However, in furniture design, the visibility of the slots in the support frame may be undesirable for aesthetic reasons. Therefore, US2008 / 0272076 A1 proposed arranging the slots on the side of the support frame. However, this solution requires the use of a shelf support bracket. The bracket consists of two arms, each with two superimposed hook-like projections at its end. When the bracket is to be mounted, the two arms are spread open. The protrusions must be precisely aligned with the slots so that, after the arms are retracted, the protrusions engage in the slots, allowing the bracket to be moved into its installed position. The downward-facing notches also accommodate the two side walls of the mounting frame. The shelves can only be installed after the brackets are in place. This solution therefore requires several assembly steps, and the slots remain visible from the side. This disadvantage is particularly noticeable in cabinets with swiveling shelves, such as those found in pull-out cabinets. Object of the invention
[0004] Therefore, the object of the invention is to develop a hanging device that is easy to assemble and which has a holding frame whose slots remain invisible even for shelves pivotable about a vertical axis and associated holding frames, and do not require a separate holding element. Description of the invention
[0005] The problem of the invention is solved by a suspension device according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the suspension device are the subject of claims 2 to 13. An extendable cabinet element comprising a suspension device is the subject of claim 14. A rotatable or pivotable cabinet element is the subject of claim 15.
[0006] When the term "for example" is used in the following description, it refers to exemplary embodiments and / or configurations, which is not necessarily to be understood as a preferred application of the teaching of the invention. Similarly, the terms "preferably" and "preferred" are to be understood as referring to one example from a set of exemplary embodiments and / or configurations, which is not necessarily to be understood as a preferred application of the teaching of the invention. Accordingly, the terms "for example," "preferably," or "preferred" may refer to a plurality of exemplary embodiments and / or configurations.
[0007] The following detailed description contains various embodiments of the suspension device according to the invention. The description of a particular suspension device is to be considered exemplary only. In the description and the claims, the terms "contain," "comprise," and "feature" are interpreted as "contained, but not limited to."
[0008] An inventive hanging device comprises at least one shelf and a support frame, wherein the shelf has a base, a first side wall, a second side wall, a front wall, and a back wall. The front wall is arranged opposite the back wall, and the first side wall is arranged opposite the second side wall. The first side wall, the front wall, the second side wall, and the back wall enclose the base. The support frame is designed as a profile element with a hollow profile. The support frame has a front face that is adjacent to the back wall of the at least one shelf. Furthermore, the support frame has a back face that is arranged opposite the front face. At least one of the first or second side walls, or the back wall, has a projection designed to be received in a slot of the support frame.
[0009] At least one slot is located on the back. The front, in particular, is free of slots. The front thus presents itself to the viewer as a continuous surface, which is considered aesthetically pleasing and easy to clean should liquids splash onto it. The base can be rectangular. A shelf with a rectangular base allows for optimal use of the storage space. The slot can be elongated. However, instead of a slot, recesses with an oval cross-section can also be provided. Of course, slots with a polygonal cross-section are also conceivable. The term "slot" therefore encompasses any recess that has different opening widths in two different directions. The opening width is measured along two axes passing through the center of gravity, which form an angle with each other, in particular two axes that are orthogonal to each other.
[0010] In one embodiment, a first side surface and a second side surface extend between the front and back surfaces, with at least one of the first or second side surfaces being free of slots. It is particularly advantageous for both the first and second side surfaces to be free of slots. According to this embodiment, the viewer sees a continuous surface not only in the front view but also in the side view(s). Furthermore, a continuous surface is easier to subject to subsequent surface treatment, such as painting, if there are no recesses, openings, or slots on the visible surface(s). Alternatively, in another embodiment, the hollow profile is designed as a square profile.
[0011] In one embodiment, the projection comprises a first projection section and a second projection section. Using a projection designed according to this embodiment, hanging the shelf in the support frame is particularly easy. Specifically, a notch is arranged between the first and second projection sections. This notch enables particularly simple manufacturing of the first and second projection sections. In particular, the first projection section can be bent along two different, vertical bending lines in the installed state, so that the first projection section has a U-shape when viewed from above. Specifically, the first projection section includes a hanging element designed to be received in the slot of the support frame.
[0012] In one embodiment, the second projecting section is designed as a support element, which is configured to rest on the back of the support frame. According to this embodiment, the shelf can be easily guided along the support frame.
[0013] In one embodiment, each of the side walls includes a groove extending from the rear wall towards the front wall, allowing the side wall to be divided by the groove into an upper and a lower section. In particular, the groove can have a length ranging from 10% to 40% inclusive of the total length of the first or second side wall. This groove provides the upper section with sufficient elasticity to allow it to be deflected during assembly or disassembly, enabling the projection of this upper section to engage the retaining frame.
[0014] In one embodiment, the upper wall section contains the projection, and the first projection section contains a suspension element. The first projection section is thus designed to contain the suspension element, which, when installed, can be hooked into a corresponding slot on the back of the mounting frame. The suspension element has a greater depth than the first projection section. Therefore, the lower end of the suspension element can rest on the inside of the back of the mounting frame.
[0015] In one embodiment, the upper wall section is deflectable relative to the lower wall section, allowing the projection to be guided around the retaining frame to engage the suspension element in the slot. In particular, a groove can be arranged between the upper and lower wall sections, decoupling the upper section from the lower section in the area of the groove. The lower wall section is connected to the base of the shelf.
[0016] In one embodiment, the back panel has a gap to each of the first and second side panels that is slightly larger than the distance between the side surface and the opposite side surface of the mounting frame, so that the mounting frame can be accommodated for installation between the first and second side panels and the back panel, or between the second side panel and the back panel. In this embodiment, the gap can be formed as a cutout. According to this embodiment, two mounting frames are provided for each of the shelves.
[0017] According to one embodiment, the first and second side walls extend beyond the rear wall, so that the corresponding first or second side wall can rest on the outer side surface of the mounting frame when installed.
[0018] The invention further comprises an extendable cabinet element containing a hanging device according to one of the preceding embodiments.
[0019] The invention further comprises a rotatable or swiveling cabinet element containing a hanging device according to one of the preceding embodiments. Brief description of the drawings

In particular, the first projecting section includes a suspension element 20, which is designed to be received in the slot 7 of the retaining frame 4. According to the present exemplary embodiment, the second projecting section 18 is designed as a support element, which is designed to rest on the rear side 6 of the retaining frame 4.
[0025] According to the present embodiment, each of the side walls 11, 12 contains a groove 23 which extends from the rear wall 14 towards the front wall 13, so that the side wall 11, 12 can be subdivided by the groove 23 into an upper partial wall section 21 and a lower partial wall section 22.
[0026] According to the present embodiment, the groove has a length in the range of 10% to inclusive 40% of the total length of the first side wall 11 or the second side wall 12.
[0027] According to the present embodiment, the upper partial wall section 21 contains the projection 16. Thus, in particular, the upper partial wall section 21 can be deflected relative to the lower partial wall section 22, so that the projection 16 can be guided around the retaining frame 4 in order to bring the suspension element 20 into engagement with the slot 7.
[0028] According to the present embodiment, the rear wall 14 has a distance to each of the first and second side walls which is slightly greater than the distance between the side surface 8 and the opposite side surface 9 of the retaining frame, so that the corresponding retaining frame 4 can be accommodated for mounting between the first side wall 11 and the rear wall 14 or between the second side wall 12 and the rear wall 14.
[0029] In particular, the first side wall 11 and the second side wall 12 can extend beyond the rear wall 14, so that the corresponding first or second side wall 11, 12 can be supported on the corresponding outer side surface 8, 9 of the retaining frame 4 in the installed state.
[0030] Fig. 3 shows a second view of the suspension device according to Fig. 1from the opposite side. The top shelf (1) is shown in its disassembled state. The middle shelf (2) is being installed, and the bottom shelf (3) is shown in its installed state.
[0031] Fig. 4 shows a detail B of the Fig. 1 , which shows the similar projection 16 of the first shelf 1 in the unhooked state. The projection 16 comprises a first projection section 17 and a second projection section 18. In particular, a notch 19 is arranged between the first projection section 17 and the second projection section 18. In particular, the first projection section 17 comprises a hook element 20, which is designed to be received in the slot 7 of the retaining frame 4, see Fig. 1 or Fig. 2According to the present exemplary embodiment, the second projecting section 18 is designed as a support element, which is designed to rest on the rear side 6 of the retaining frame 4, see Fig. 1 or Fig. 2 .
[0032] According to the present embodiment, the suspension element 20 is obtained by producing the notch 19 and subsequently bending it about a bending axis that is vertically arranged in the installed state. In particular, the first projecting section 17 can be bent about two different bending lines that are vertical in the installed state, so that the first projecting section has a U-shape in plan view. In particular, the first projecting section 17 contains the suspension element 20, which is designed to be received in the slot of the retaining frame. The suspension element 20 can have a width that is greater at or near its upper edge than at its underside. In particular, the width can decrease continuously, at least section by section. Such a suspension element 20 can be inserted into the associated slot 7 particularly easily.
[0033] In the present embodiment, the upper partial wall section 21 includes the projection 16, and the first projection section 17 includes the suspension element 20. The suspension element 20 is designed such that, in the installed state, it can be suspended in a corresponding slot 7 on the rear side 6 of the mounting frame 4. The suspension element 20 has a greater depth than the first projection section 17. Thus, the lower end 26 of the suspension element 20 can rest on the inside of the rear side 6 of the mounting frame 4.
[0034] In Fig. 4 A part of the groove 23 in the first side wall 11 is also shown, which runs from its rear end towards the front wall 13, so that the first side wall 11 can be subdivided by the groove 23 into an upper partial wall section 21 and a lower partial wall section 22.
[0035] In Fig. 4It is also shown that the rear wall 14 does not extend to the first side wall 11, but rather that a cutout 25 is arranged between a first end 24 of the rear wall 14 and the first side wall 11. This cutout 25 is at least as wide as the mounting frame 4; in other words, the cutout 25 has a width that is at least as large, but usually somewhat larger, than the distance between the first side surface 8 and the second side surface 9 of the corresponding mounting frame 4, see Figs. 1 to 3 , which show at least one of the two mounting frames 4.
