Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of window installation systems, specifically to components used in securing and positioning window frames within building structures. The invention focuses on a universal system involving thermoprofiles, which are profiles designed to reduce thermal bridging while ensuring the proper installation and secure attachment of window frames. This system is compatible with various types of window frames, including those made from plastic, aluminum, and wood. A key component of this invention is the innovative engagement element, which allows for the efficient and secure connection of the thermoprofile to the window frame. The design of this system simplifies the installation process, enhances the stability and durability of the window assembly, and reduces the need for multiple, model-specific thermoprofiles profiles. The invention addresses critical issues such as compatibility across different window models, secure attachment, and cost-efficiency in both the production and installation of thermoprofiles.BACKGROUND
[0002] The window installation sector currently faces several significant challenges, primarily related to the complexity and inefficiency in the production and installation of window thermoprofiles. One of the main issues is the lack of universal compatibility among different window models. Most thermoprofiles are designed to fit specific window frames, requiring manufacturers to produce a wide range of model-specific profiles. This results in increased manufacturing complexity, higher material costs, and the need for extensive inventory management.
[0003] A document EP2434082 (A2) describes a windowsill panel (3) has a base (5) provided with an upper surface (12), a lower surface, two side faces in the direction of a width extension, front and rear end surfaces in the direction of a longitudinal extension. A support profile (13) is arranged on the upper surface, for supporting a window (2) or a door. The height (16) of closure elements (14) arranged on the two sides is greater than the height of support profile while extending approximately from the front end surface to a rear surface of the support profile.
[0004] Another challenge is ensuring a secure and durable attachment of the thermoprofile to the window frame. Traditional methods often rely on cumbersome and time-consuming installation processes, which can lead to improper attachment, compromising the stability and longevity of the window assembly. Additionally, the sector struggles with the high costs associated with the production and installation of these profiles, driven by the need for multiple molds and customized parts.
[0005] As example document DE202008015551 (U1) describes the connecting profile strip made of plastic for attachment to a window or door frame, wherein the connecting strip has locking feet running in the longitudinal direction which can be locked to corresponding locking elements on the frame, characterized in that a sealing lip is formed on at least one locking foot.
[0006] Furthermore, the installation process itself can be labor-intensive, requiring skilled labor to ensure proper fitting and alignment, leading to longer installation times and increased labor costs. These challenges highlight the need for a more efficient, cost-effective, and universally compatible solution in the window installation industry.
[0007] Closes prior art could be document EP2204524 (A2) in which describes a window or door frame structure (3), such as for a roof window, said frame structure (3) comprising, at a side surface (3a) facing inwards in the mounted position of the window or door assembly, at least one at least partially circumferential groove (7) adapted for receiving an end portion (8) of a lining structure (2), wherein said groove (7) in at least a part of its longitudinal extension has a cross sectional surface profile having at least two sections (9a, 9b), each said section (9a, 9b) having a substantially rectangular shape and that said at least two sections (9a, 9b) further comprise different depths, characterized in that said groove (7) comprises at least one positioning element (12) arranged such as to provide said at least two sections (9a, 9b), said positioning element (12) being chosen from the group consisting of a slat, a strip and a fitting, preferably an angle fitting.
[0008] The known art in window installation lacks universal compatibility. Existing solutions often require multiple, frame-specific thermoprofiles, leading to increased manufacturing complexity, higher costs, and extensive inventory management. If try to use not adopted existing thermoprofiles with other company windows it can result in insecure or improper attachment, compromising the stability and durability of the window assembly. These limitations create inefficiencies in both production and installation processes, driving up costs and increasing the potential for installation errors.SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0009] To address the challenge of connecting different window frames to the thermoprofiles, an adaptable joining (engagement) element was invented. This element ensures compatibility across various window frame types, enabling a secure and efficient connection to the thermoprofile, thereby enhancing installation flexibility and reducing the need for multiple, lifting frame (thermoprofiles) specific solutions.
[0010] The present invention provides an innovative solution in the window installation industry by introducing a system of a universal thermoprofile (several forms) and with a specialized engagement element (few forms). This system is designed to securely connect various types of window frames, including those made from plastic, aluminum, and wood, to the thermoprofile, thereby addressing the shortcomings of existing art. The engagement element features a design that allows for easy and secure attachment of different window frames to thermoprofile, significantly simplifying the installation process and enhancing the stability and durability of the window assembly. This adaptability provides a robust and universally applicable solution, facilitating easier installation and ensuring a secure and stable connection between the window frame and the thermoprofile.
[0011] Thermoprofile can be made of various materials: plastic, wood, polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, multilayer.
[0012] The engagement element of the invention is designed with an engaging part and a fixing part, which can be split into two distinct components: the engagement detail and the fixing detail. Both of these details feature interlocking ribs, specifically designed to connect securely with each other. The displacement step between these interlocking ribs is approximately 0,5 cm (may be from 0,5 mm to 10 mm), allowing for precise adjustment during installation. The fixing detail is intended to be securely attached to the window profile (or thermoprofile), ensuring a stable connection with glue, screw, or other fastening means. The engagement detail is then fixable to the fixing detail via its ribs, allowing it to be positioned exactly where needed to ensure the proper installation of the window profile. This design allows for flexibility and adaptability, making it possible to adjust the engagement depending on the specific window profile and the placement of its hooking elements, thereby providing a robust and universally applicable solution for various window installations.
[0013] The fixing detail in the invention is designed to be versatile, allowing it to be attached either to the window profile or directly to the thermoprofile. This flexibility ensures that the engagement element can be securely positioned regardless of the installation configuration.
[0014] The thermoprofile is of few adopted forms, combined with the engagement element, is versatile and can be used across a wide range of window models without the need for multiple, model-specific profiles.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
