[0005] In motor vehicles, faults that may affect driving while the vehicle is in motion carry a vital risk. Also, in electric vehicles, there is a risk that the vehicle may be able to move while the charging cable is plugged in (whether charging has started or not). A scenario in which the charging cable breaks may cause a problem for human and environmental safety as well as financial loss. In the state of the art, there are solutions in the form of automatic braking via accident detection systems while the vehicles are in motion. However, there is no solution for shifting the gear position without the control of the driver when the charging cables of the vehicles are plugged in or in any other dangerous situation.
[0006] For this reason, considering the studies and deficiencies included in the current technique, it is understood that there is a need for a system for automatically adjusting the gear position of a vehicle without leaving it to the initiative of the user in cases such as connecting the charging cable, activation of electronic parking brake, electronic parking brake fault, emerging system faults that may affect the driving of the vehicle which are anticipated to adversely affect the driving of the vehicle in electric vehicles.
[0007] The Chinese patent document no. CN109334470A, an application included in the state of the art and found as a result of the research, discloses a motion control system for electric vehicles. The invention subject to the said Chinese patent document includes a control system for an anti-slip slope and a slip slope distance of a micro electric vehicle. The system processes a gear position signal, an accelerator pedal signal, a brake pedal signal, a motor rotation speed, a motor rotation direction, a target torque, an anti-slope activation command and a slope start activation command by a vehicle controller. A motor controller judges whether the vehicle has entered the anti-slip slope activation state through processed information. Segmented PI control is used for ensuring smooth transition, increasing speed feed-forward control, accelerating speed adjustment response, reducing the slip slope distance and increasing the slope start permission sign, which enables the vehicle to distinguish between flat land and slope. If a verifiable condition is met and the anti-slip slope activation is entered accurately and properly, the vehicle will not sway or vibrate, the slip slope distance will be shortened and the risk of accidentally entering the anti-slip slope on flat land will be reduced.

The vehicle control unit (4) is configured to determine the gear position without leaving it to the initiative of the user if it detects that there is any fault condition that may affect the driving of the vehicle or that the charging cable is plugged in when the vehicle gear position is in position of D, R or N.

Claims
CLAIMS1. A system (1) for automatically adjusting the gear position of the vehicle without leaving it to the initiative of the user in cases where it is anticipated to adversely affect driving in electric vehicles; comprising at least one vehicle computer (2) with which users can interact by positioning it anywhere in the vehicle and which is configured to enable users to view information related to the vehicle such as vehicle speed, gear information and fault status, if any; at least one central gateway unit (3) which is configured to direct the messages received from the unit or modules, that are on a different CAN line but need to communicate, to the relevant CAN communication line for the units and modules communicating via CAN communication line and to enable the communication to be established; and characterized by at least one vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to communicate and exchange data with vehicle units such as the gear shifter unit (A), the accelerator and brake pedal units (B), the onboard charger (C), the electric drive unit (D) over the CAN communication line; to evaluate user inputs such as vehicle speed, accelerator / brake pedal position, gear shift by receiving them from vehicle units such as the gear shifter unit (A), the accelerator and brake pedal units (B), the onboard charger (C), the electric drive unit (D) by determining whether the vehicle is ready for driving or not; to detect whether there are any fault conditions that may affect driving based on whether the vehicle is in motion or not and the gear position; and to automatically determine the gear position if it detects any fault condition such as connecting the charging cable, electronic parking brake activation, electronic parking brake fault or emerging system faults that may affect the driving of the vehicle; and to trigger the gear shifter unit (A) for the respective gear position.

A system (1) according to Claim 1; characterized by the vehicle computer (2) which is positioned anywhere in the vehicle where the driver and / or passengerscan interact and is configured to enable users to view information related to the vehicle such as vehicle speed, gear information and fault conditions, if any.
3. A system (1) according to Claim 1 or 2; characterized by the vehicle computer (2) which is configured to provide at least one interface with which users can interact.
4. A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle computer (2) which is a computer in the form of an IDCC.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the central gateway unit (3) which is configured to direct the messages received from the unit or modules, that are on a different CAN line but need to communicate, to the relevant CAN communication line for the units and modules communicating via CAN communication line and to enable the communication to be established6. A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the central gateway unit (3) which is configured to establish CAN communication between the vehicle computer (2) and the vehicle control unit (4).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to communicate and exchange data with vehicle units such as the gear shifter unit (A), the accelerator and brake pedal units (B), the onboard charger (C), the electric drive unit (D) over the CAN communication line.
8. A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to establish communication with the vehicle computer (2) via the central gateway unit (3).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to determine whether the vehicle is ready for driving or not by checking whether the user presses the start-stop button while stepping on the brakes after the vehicle has been unlocked and the key and immobilizer checks have been completed.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to evaluate data such as vehicle speed, accelerator / brake pedal position, gear shift, whether the charging cable is plugged in or not and electronic parking brake information by receiving them from vehicle units such as the gear shifter unit (A), the accelerator and brake pedal units (B), the onboard charger (C), the electric drive unit (D).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to determine the vehicle speed based on the data obtained from the sensors located in the accelerator and brake pedal units (B) and the speed data obtained from the electric drive unit (D).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to receive information on whether the charging cable is plugged in or not from the onboard charger (C) and information on the vehicle gear position from the gear shifter unit (A).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to receive the electronic parking brake information from the accelerator and brake pedal units (B) and to determine the gear position of the vehicle by evaluating the received information.
14. A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to determine whether the vehicle is in motion or not based on the data received from the electric drive unit (D).

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to check whether there is any fault condition such as connecting the charging cable, electronic parking brake activation, electronic parking brake fault or emerging system faults that may affect the driving of the vehicle, based on the data obtained from the vehicle units such as the gear shifter unit (A), the accelerator and brake pedal units (B), the onboard charger (C), the electric drive unit (D), if it detects that the vehicle is in motion.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to automatically determine the gear position and trigger the gear shifter unit (A) for the respective gear position if it detects any fault condition that may affect the driving of the vehicle.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to check the gear position via the gear shifter unit (A) when the vehicle is not in motion and to determine whether the gear position is in any of the positions of D, R or N.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to check whether there is any fault condition such as connecting the charging cable, electronic parking brake activation, electronic parking brake fault or emerging system faults that may affect the driving of the vehicle if it detects that the gear position of the vehicle is not in position of D, R or N; and to ensure that the gear position is set to P by rejecting gear shift requests transmitted from the user if any fault condition is detected.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to check whether there are any faults that may affect the driving of the vehicle and whether the charging cable isplugged in or not if it detects that the gear position of the vehicle is in position of D, R or N.

A system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims; characterized by the vehicle control unit (4) which is configured to determine the gear position without leaving it to the initiative of the user if it detects that there is any fault condition that may affect the driving of the vehicle or that the charging cable is plugged in when the vehicle gear position is in position of D, R or N.
