Description

POOL AND FRAME ASSEMBLY THEREFOR

[0001] CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] This Application claims priority from Chinese Application CN202321862343. X, filed July 14, 2023 in China, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

[0003] FIELD AND BACKGROUNDField

[0004] The present application relates to the field of portable pools, and in particular to a frame assembly. The present application further relates to a pool including such a frame assembly.Background

[0005] To have local access to a swimming experience, people may choose to obtain and set up a frame pool. Frame pools are generally easy to assemble and disassemble and thus popular among consumers. Typically, frame pools are formed by combining a frame with a pool liner supported by the frame. To facilitate the assembly and disassembly of a frame pool, the frame usually includes a plurality of T-joints and a plurality of support members, and each support member is inserted into a receiving portion of the corresponding T-joint, thereby enclosing the support in a closed shape.

[0006] In order to stably connect the support member to the receiving portion of the T-joint, in some approaches, the receiving portion is provided with a first mounting hole extending therethrough, the support member is provided with a second mounting hole extending therethrough, and the first mounting hole is aligned with and corresponds to the second mounting hole. In addition, a fixed seat is fixedly arranged in the receiving portion, a sliding lock joint is arranged in the fixed seat, and a spring is arranged between the lock joint and the fixed seat. In this way, the lock joint passes through the first mounting hole and is inserted into the second mounting hole, such that the support member and the T-joint are locked and connected together; and the lock joint is pressed to retract for disengagement from the second mounting hole, such that the support member can be released from the T-joint. Such a T-joint has a complex structure, leading to a high manufacturing cost of the support.SUMMARY

[0068] It will be understood that the terms “include, ” “including, ” “comprise, ” and / or “comprising, ” when used in this specification, specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps, operations, elements, and / or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, operations, elements, components, and / or groups thereof.

[0069] It will be further understood that, although the terms “first, ” “second, ” “third, ” etc., may be used herein to describe various elements, components, regions, layers and / or sections, these elements, components, regions, layers and / or sections may not be limited by these terms. These terms are only used to distinguish one element, component, region, layer or section from another element, component, region, layer or section.

[0070] As used herein, the term “and / or” includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items. Expressions such as “at least one of, ” when preceding a list of elements, modify the entire list of elements and do not modify the individual elements of the list.

[0071] Matters of these example embodiments that are obvious to those of ordinary skill in the technical field to which these example embodiments pertain may not be described here in detail.

[0072] To make the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of the present application clearer, the technical solutions of the present application will be clearly and completely described below with reference to specific embodiments of the present application and corresponding figures. Apparently, the described embodiments are some rather than all of the embodiments of the present application. All other embodiments obtained by persons of ordinary skill in the art based on the embodiments of the present application without creative efforts fall within the scope of protection of the present application.

[0073] In the present application, the term "vertical" refers to a direction generally perpendicular to the ground (as indicated by an arrow L2 in FIG. 3) ; the term "transverse" refers to a direction generally perpendicular to an axial direction of a tube or pipe fitting; the term "horizontal" refers to a direction generally parallel to the ground (as indicated by an arrow L1 in FIG. 3) ; and the term "downward" refers to a direction generally pointing to the ground.

[0074] FIG. 1 schematically shows a pool 1 according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 1, the pool 1 includes a pool liner 2 and a frame assembly 3 supporting the pool liner 2. The pool liner 2 may be made of an easily foldable material, such as a water-tight PVC material or canvas, and is detachably supported on the frame assembly 3 for easy storage. In other embodiments, an air bag may be also provided inside the pool liner 2, such that the pool 1 may form an inflatable pool.

[0075] As shown in FIG. 2, the frame assembly 3 includes a T-joint 30 and a plurality of support members 40 connected to the T-joint 30.

[0076] Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the support members 40 may include a plurality of first horizontal support members 4111, a plurality of second horizontal support members 4112, and a plurality of vertical support members 4113.

[0077] Still as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the T-joint 30 includes a joint body 310 and a connecting assembly 320 (not shown) arranged in the joint body 310. The joint body 310 includes a first horizontal receiver 311, a second horizontal receiver 312, and a vertical receiver 313. The first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 are connected (at a connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 as shown in FIG. 3) and extend in a horizontal direction L1. As shown, for example, in FIG. 5, the connecting assembly 320 may comprise an integrally formed structure or a two-part structure made of a plastic or rigid (e.g., metal) material. The connecting assembly 320 is arranged at the connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 for detachably connecting the first horizontal support member 4111 and the second horizontal support member 4112 to the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 of the joint body 310, respectively, as will be described below. The vertical receiver 313 extends downward in a vertical direction L2 relative to the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312, and the vertical support member 4113 is connected to the vertical receiver 313.

[0078] Optionally, the vertical support member 4113 is detachably connected to the vertical receiver 313, so as to facilitate disassembly of the frame assembly 3 and thus storage of the pool 1. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the vertical receiver 313 is provided with a snap-fit hole 316, and the vertical support member 4113 is provided with an elastic protrusion 315 that matches the snap-fit hole 316. During assembly of the vertical support member 4113, the vertical support member 4113 is inserted into the vertical receiver 313 and the elastic protrusion 315 is snap-fitted into the snap-fit hole 316 to realize connection between the vertical support member 4113 and the vertical receiver 313 (or the joint body 310) . During disassembly of the vertical support member  4113, the compressible elastic protrusion 315 is pressed to urge the protrusion towards an inner portion thereof to disengage the elastic protrusion 315 from the snap-fit hole 316, such that the vertical support member 4113 can be slidably disassembled from the vertical receiver 313. In alternate implementations, the vertical support member 4113 may also be connected to and retained by the vertical receiver 313 by cordage, or friction fitting, or other detachable methods.

[0079] A connecting assembly of a first embodiment will be described below.

[0080] As shown in FIG. 5, the connecting assembly 320 of the first embodiment includes a base 321, a first arm 3221 and a second arm 3222. The first arm 3221 extends from a first end 3211 of the base 321. Similarly, the second arm 3222 extends from a second end 3212 of the base 321. In addition, the first arm 3221 is provided with a first pin 3231. Similarly, the second arm 3222 is provided with a second pin 3232.

[0081] As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, after the connecting assembly 320 is mounted in the joint body 310, and the first horizontal support member 4111 and the second horizontal support member 4112 are also installed on or in the T-joint 30, the base 321 is fixedly arranged at the connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312. The first arm 3221 is arranged so as to extend in the first horizontal receiver 311; and the second arm 3222 is arranged so as to extend in the second horizontal receiver 312.

[0082] A first through-hole 314 is provided in a side wall of the first horizontal receiver 311, and a second through-hole 317 is provided in a side wall of the second horizontal receiver 312. The first horizontal support member 4111 is provided with an inserting portion 4115 and an assembly hole 4114 that matches the first through-hole 314 and is provided in a side wall of the inserting portion 4115. In various implementations, a cross-sectional profile of the inserting portion 4115 may be oval or polygonal, and a cross-sectional profile of the first horizontal receiver  311 would have a respectively corresponding oval or polygonal shape, resulting in improved resistance to rotation of the first horizontal support members 4111 when the inserting portion 4115 is installed within the first horizontal receiver 311. Similarly, in additional implementations, a cross-sectional profile of the inserting portion 4115 may be oval or polygonal, and a cross-sectional profile of the second horizontal receiver 312 would have a respectively corresponding oval or polygonal shape, resulting in improved resistance to rotation of the second horizontal support members 4112 when the inserting portion 4115 is installed within the second horizontal receiver 312. During assembly, the inserting portion 4115 is inserted into the first horizontal receiver 311, and the assembly hole 4114 is aligned with the first through-hole 314. In this way, the first pin 3231 is inserted into the first through-hole 314 and the assembly hole 4114 to fixedly connect the first horizontal support member 4111 to the T-joint 30. In addition, during disassembly, the first pin 3231 is depressed and / or disengaged from the first through-hole 314 and the assembly hole 4114 to allow the first horizontal support member 4111 to be separated from the T-joint 30 so as to realize disassembly. The second horizontal support member 4112 is mounted to the T-joint 30 in a similar way as the first horizontal support member 4111 is mounted to the T-joint 30, more particularly, the inserting portion 4115 of the second horizontal support member 4112 is inserted into the horizontal receiver 312, and the assembly hole 4114 is aligned with the second through-hole 317. In this way, the second pin 3232 is inserted into the first through-hole 317 and the assembly hole 4114 to fixedly connect the second horizontal support member 4112 to the T-joint 30.Disassembly of the second horizontal support member 4112 from the T-joint 30 proceeds similarly to the disassembly of the first horizontal support member 4111 from the T-joint 30.

[0083] On the whole, in the frame assembly 3 according to the present application, the connecting assembly 320 for connecting the first horizontal support member 4111 and the second  horizontal support member 4112 to the T-joint 30 is arranged in the joint body 310 of the T-joint 30. The connecting assembly 320 has a simple structure without requiring components such as a spring used in other implementations, which simplifies the structure of the T-joint 30 and thus reduces the manufacturing cost of the frame assembly 3.

[0084] In the frame assembly 3 according to the present application, in the case where the connecting assembly 320 is pre-mounted in the joint body 310, when the first horizontal support member 4111 is assembled onto the T-joint 30, the first pin 3231 is first pushed to an inward / interior direction of the first horizontal receiver 311 to disengage the first pin 3231 from the first through-hole 314. In this case, the first arm 3221 is elastically deformed. Then, the inserting portion 4115 of the first horizontal support member 4111 is inserted into the first horizontal receiver 311, and the assembly hole 4114 is aligned with the first through-hole 314. In this case, through elastic spring forces loaded into the first arm 3221 by previous inward deflection of the first pin 3231, the first arm 3221 automatically recovers and urges the first pin 3231 to be inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314 and the corresponding assembly hole 4114 to fixedly connect the first horizontal support member 4111 to the T-joint 30. During disassembly of the first horizontal support member 4111, the first pin 3231 is first pushed toward an interior direction of the first horizontal receiver 311 to disengage the first pin 3231 from the first through-hole 314 and the assembly hole 4114. In this case, the first arm 3221 is elastically deformed. Then, the inserting portion 4115 of the first horizontal support member 4111 is horizontally removed from the first horizontal receiver 311, such that the first horizontal support member 4111 is disassembled from the T-joint 30. It should be noted that after the inserting portion 4115 is removed from the first horizontal receiver 311, the first arm 3221 can automatically recover and urge the first pin 3231 to be inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314 again.  Advantageously, it can be seen therefrom that during the assembly and disassembly of the first horizontal support member 4111, only the first pin 3231 and the first horizontal support member 4111 need to be operated, without additional screws and auxiliary tools. Therefore, assembly of the first horizontal support member 4111 and the T-joint 30 is simplified, which facilitates the rapid assembly of the pool 1, and likewise provides corresponding ease of disassembly. The assembling and disassembling processes of the second horizontal support member 4112 proceed in a similar manner as with the first horizontal support member 4111.

[0085] In addition, as shown in FIG. 5, the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222 comprise the same or a similar structure. For simplicity, only the first arm 3221 will be described below.

[0086] In one implementation, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, the first arm 3221 further includes a connecting plate 325. The first pin 3231 extends from the connecting plate 325 toward the corresponding first through-hole 314.

[0087] In an embodiment, the connecting plate 325 is aligned to interface with the side wall of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the side wall of the inserting portion 4115. In this way, after the first horizontal support member 4111 is mounted onto the T-joint 30, the connecting plate 325 may be pressed against the side wall of the inserting portion 4115, which helps to improve the mounting stability of the first horizontal support member 4111 in the T-joint 30. When the first horizontal support member 4111 is not mounted into the T-joint 30, the connecting plate 325 is proximate to or pressed against the side wall of the first horizontal receiver 311, so as to facilitate insertion of the first pin 3231 into the first through-hole 314. In an embodiment, the connecting plate 325 may be configured as a flat plate. Connecting plates 325 may be provided further with a distal chamfer 325a that assists with guiding installation of the connecting assembly 320 into the joint body 310 and also guiding the inserting portion 4115 to slide under the connecting plates 325  upon insertion of the inserting portion 4115 into the first horizontal receiver 311. In other embodiments, both of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the inserting portion 4115 are round tubes, and the connecting plate 325 may be configured as a curved plate to be adapted to the side walls of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the inserting portion 4115.

[0088] In yet another implementation, as shown in FIG. 7, the connecting plate 325 is configured to cover the corresponding first through-hole 314 and assembly hole 4114. In this way, after the first horizontal support member 4111 is mounted into the T-joint 30, an area of contact between the connecting plate 325 and the inserting portion 4115 is large, which helps to stably install and retain the first horizontal support member 4111 within the T-joint 30. In addition, the connecting plate 325 also provides a sealing function to prevent foreign dust, debris and liquids from the external environment entering the T-joint 30 and / or the inserting portion 4115 through the first through-hole 314 and the assembly hole 4114, which otherwise results in corrosion or difficult assembly and / or disassembly of the first horizontal support member 4111. In addition, as the connecting plate 325 is in contact with the inner wall of the first horizontal support member 4111 or the first horizontal receiver 311, the connecting plate 325 can prevent external liquids from weather or the pool 1 from entering the first horizontal support member 4111 and / or the first horizontal receiver 311 through the first through-hole 314, such that the frame assembly 3 has improved water resistance, effectively preventing corrosion of the frame assembly 3 due to water or other liquid ingress.

[0089] In another aspect, still as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, the first arm 3221 is configured as a cantilevered arcuate plate. The arcuate plate of the first arm 3221 curves toward the first through-hole 314. The first arm 3221 is deformable with a predetermined elasticity, and thus provides resistive spring force for the first pin 3231 during the assembly and disassembly of the first  horizontal support member 4111. Through this implementation, no separate elastic or spring member is required within the T-joint 30 to allow deployment, retention, or withdrawal of the first pin 3231 within the first through-hole 314 and / or assembly hole 4114, which reduces the number of parts of the T-joint 30, simplifying the structure of the T-joint 30 and reducing cost. In addition, after the connecting assembly 320 is arranged in the joint body 310, the first arm 3221 in the form of an arcuate plate also makes the connecting plate 325 closer to the side wall of the corresponding first horizontal receiver 311, which enables the first pin 3231 to be urged in an outward direction and automatically inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314, thereby fixedly retaining the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310. It should be understood that the first arm 3221 may also be configured in other forms, for example, in the form of an elastic bent plate with varying architectures...

[0090] In yet another aspect as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, a cross section of the base 321 has a similar cross-sectional shape as the interior surfaces of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312. In this way, it is straightforward to insert the connecting assembly 320 into the joint body 310. For example, if the joint body 310 has a generally circular cross section, the outer contour of the base 321 is also generally circular. In alternate embodiments, the base 321 may have an oval cross-sectional shape, and the interior surfaces of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 may have similar oval cross-sectional shapes. Further, in another embodiment, the base 321 may have a polygonal cross-sectional shape, and the interior surfaces of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 may have similar polygonal cross-sectional shapes.

[0091] The base 321 is installed in the connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 by means of press-fitting with a friction fit.  Therefore, the connecting assembly 320 is fixedly retained in the joint body 310, which helps to retain alignment of the first pin 3231 with the corresponding first through-hole 314. In addition, as described above, the first pin 3231 is inserted into the first through-hole 314 when the first horizontal support member 4111 is not installed, and the base 321 is also closely arranged at the connecting position 318, such that the connecting assembly 320 can be more stably retained in the joint body 310 to avoid undesired movement, misalignment, or loss. In other embodiments, the base 321 may be further fixed at the connecting position 318 by using a screw, bolt, pin, dowel, or other fastener.

[0092] In yet another aspect shown in FIG. 5, the connecting assembly 320 may be an integral component. This helps to simplify the manufacturing of the connecting assembly 320 and eases installation of the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310. As additional advantages with this architecture, during the process of assembling the frame assembly 3, one T-joint 30 can be connected to both the first horizontal support member 4111 and the second horizontal support member 4112 through a single integrally-formed connecting assembly 320 in one joint body 310, which simplifies the assembling process of the frame assembly 3. In various aspects of this embodiment and the embodiments described below, the connecting assembly 320 is installed in the joint body 310 during production, such that a user does not need to mount the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310 during assembly of the pool.

[0093] A connecting assembly of a second embodiment will be described below.

[0094] As shown in FIG. 8, in the connecting assembly 320 of the second embodiment, the base 321 is configured to include a protrusion extending upwardly relative to the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222. In an embodiment as shown in FIG. 8, the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 extend downwardly from respective connecting plates 325 (in the same direction L5) . A protruding (upward) direction L4 of the protrusion is opposite the direction L5 in which the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 extend. For example, both of the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 extend vertically downward, and the protrusion extends vertically upward as a whole.

[0095] As shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, a central limiting structure is configured in the joint body 310. The protrusion (or the base 321) engages with the limiting structure to stably align and retain the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310 and prevent the connecting assembly 320 from shifting in the joint body 310, thus ensuring that the first pin 3231 is always aligned with the first through-hole 314 and the second pin 3232 is always aligned with the second through-hole 317. More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 has a predetermined length in the horizontal direction L1. The limiting structure includes a first limiting plate 3311 and a second limiting plate 3312 disposed above the connecting assembly 320. The first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 are arranged in the connecting position 318 along a cross section of the connecting position 318 and spaced apart in the horizontal direction L1 to form a limiting space 333 therebetween. In addition, both of the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 extend from a side wall of the connecting position 318 in an opposite direction (for example, in a vertically downward direction) to the protruding direction L4 to abut against the first end 3211 and the second end 3212 of the protrusion (i.e., the base 321) , respectively. With this configuration, when the connecting assembly 320 is installed, the protrusion (i.e., the base 321) becomes disposed  within the limiting space 333, and the first arm 3221 is situated within the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second arm 3222 is situated within the second horizontal receiver 312. In this configuration, the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 constrain the connecting assembly 320 in the horizontal direction L1, and prevent the connecting assembly 320 from shifting undesirably in the horizontal direction L1. The first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 also constrain the connecting assembly 320 in the vertical direction L2 to prevent the connecting assembly 320 from moving in a vertically upward direction and maintaining an elastic / spring tension in the first arm 3221 and second arm 3222, thus ensuring that the first pin 3231 can be inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314 and the second pin 3232 can be inserted into and retained within the second through-hole 317. In addition, the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 also constrain the connecting assembly 320 in the horizontal direction L1. Therefore, through the above-described configuration, the connecting assembly 320 is stably retained within the joint body 310.

[0096] In an additional aspect also shown in FIG. 10, a pressing plate 336 is arranged between the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312. The pressing plate 336 extends from the side wall of the connecting position 318 in an opposite direction (for example, in a vertically downward direction) to the protruding direction L4 of the protrusion to abut against a central portion of the protrusion (i.e., the base 321) . With this configuration, the pressing plate 336 further constrains the connecting assembly 320 in the vertical direction L2, maintaining an elastic / spring tension in the first arm 3221 and second arm 3222 to ensure that the first pin 3231 can be inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314 and the second pin 3232 can be inserted into and retained within the second through-hole 317, which further helps to stably mount the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310 and prevent the connecting assembly 320 from  becoming loose or misaligned. This configuration, accordingly, allows for a more secure and stable connection between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the first horizontal support member 4111.

[0097] In yet another aspect shown in FIGS. 9 and 10, the illustrated limiting structure further includes two third limiting plates 3313, one of the third limiting plates 3313 is arranged at one side of the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 in a transverse direction, and the other third limiting plate 3313 is arranged at the other opposite side of the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 in the transverse direction. The third limiting plate 3313 extends from the side wall of the connecting position 318 in an opposite direction (for example, in a vertically downward direction) to the protruding direction L4 of the protrusion and has an extension length greater than that of the first limiting plate 3311. Support ribs 319 provide structural support and reinforcement between the horizontal receivers 311, 312 and the vertical receiver 313. A similar configuration is present, but not illustrated, within the opposite side of the first horizontal receiver 311 (that is, adjacent to the second horizontal receiver 312) . In the illustrated embodiment of FIG. 9, an orifice 3314 is defined by a bottom support plate 3315, the two third limiting plates 3313, and the first limiting plate 3311. The orifice 3314 accommodates passage and alignment of the first arm 3221 of the connecting assembly 320. Additionally, with regard to the second horizontal receiver 312, a similar orifice 3314 is defined proximate the second horizontal receiver 312 between a second bottom support plate 3315, two third limiting plates 3313 and the second limiting plate 3312, which accommodates passage and alignment of the second arm 3222 of the connecting assembly 320. Therefore, when the connecting assembly 320 is installed within the joint body 310, the third limiting plates 3313 respectively abut against corresponding  side walls of the connecting assembly 320 to constrain the connecting assembly 320, which further helps to securely and stably retain the connecting assembly 320 within the joint body 310.

[0098] In an embodiment, the two third limiting plates 3313 are connected to corresponding edges of the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312. This configuration helps to improve the stability of the third limiting plates 3313.

[0099] In an embodiment, only one third limiting plate 3313 may be provided. In this way, the connecting assembly 320 is constrained by the third limiting plate 3313 and the side walls of the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312.

[0100] In yet another aspect shown in FIG. 10, the protrusion (i.e., the base 321) is configured to be curved. While the curved profile of the protrusion assists with installation of the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310, the resistance to the protrusion (for example, the resistance exerted on the protrusion by the first limiting plate 3311, the second limiting plate 3312 and the pressing plate 336) also can be reduced when the connecting assembly 320 is correctly aligned and installed within the joint body 310, thus facilitating the assembly of the connecting assembly 320. Also, after the connecting assembly 320 is installed in the joint body 310, the curved protrusion can prevent the connecting assembly 320 from being inadvertently removed from the joint body 310 when the first horizontal support member 4111 and the second horizontal support member 4112 are disassembled from the T-joint 30; in such circumstances, the connecting assembly 320 is retained within the T-joint 30 under the action of the first limiting plate 3311, the second limiting plate 3312, the third limiting plate 3313 and the pressing plate 336.

[0101] In an embodiment, the first limiting plate 3311, the second limiting plate 3312, the third limiting plate 3313, the pressing plate 336 and the joint body 310 are integrally injection-molded, which facilitates the manufacture of the joint body 310. The connecting assembly 320  may be an integrally formed component, which helps to simplify the assembly of the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310.

[0102] A connecting assembly of a third embodiment will be described below.

[0103] As shown in FIG. 11, in the connecting assembly 320 of the third embodiment, the connecting assembly 320 is an integrally formed component, which helps to simplify the assembly of the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310. The connecting assembly 320 includes two elastic telescopic portions 328. The two elastic telescopic portions 328 are generally arranged in the vertical direction L2, and first ends 3281 of the two elastic telescopic portions 328 are respectively connected to the corresponding first arm 3221 and second arm 3222, and second ends 3282 thereof are respectively connected to the corresponding connecting plates 325. As explained in more detail below, the two elastic telescopic portions 328 provide flexible spring force, acting to allow the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 to respectively move in the L2 direction, and to provide an extension force to respectively insert and retain the pins 3231, 3232 within respective through-holes 314, 317 and / or assembly holes 4114..

[0104] More specifically, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 14, the first arm 3221 is arranged so as to extend in the first horizontal receiver 311, and the first pin 3231 is aligned with the first through-hole 314; and the second arm 3222 is arranged so as to extend in the second horizontal receiver 312, and the second pin 3232 is aligned with the second through-hole 317. Through elastic spring forces provided by compression in the L2 direction, the elastic telescopic portion 328 provides a driving extension force for the corresponding first pin 3231 or second pin 3232 when the  connecting assembly 320 is installed in the joint body 310. Since it is straightforward to obtain the coefficient of elasticity of the elastic telescopic portion 328, the appropriate elastic telescopic portion can be precisely selected according to actual requirements of the desired extensive force, which helps to simplify the manufacture of the connecting assembly 320.

[0105] In an embodiment, the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222 may be rigid members with negligible upward / downward flexure in the L2 direction. Of course, the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222 may also be configured with appropriate elasticity to compensate for, if necessary, the elasticity of the corresponding elastic telescopic portion 328.

[0106] In an embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 11 and 14, the elastic telescopic portion 328 is formed as a corrugated plate, with elastic spring forces provided by deformation of the straight and angular portions of the corrugations. Such an elastic telescopic portion 328 is less prone to damage and helps to prolong the service life of the connecting assembly 320. The elastic telescopic portion in other appropriate forms may also be selected as desired, with specific implementation not limited herein.

[0107] As shown in FIGS. 12, 13 and 14, the connecting assembly 320 of the third embodiment is arranged in the joint body 310 in a similar way as the connecting assembly 320 of the second embodiment. For example, as shown in FIGS. 12, 13 and 14, the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 are arranged at the connecting position 318 between the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second horizontal receiver 312 of the T-joint 30; and the pressing plate 336 is also arranged between the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312. In addition, the two third limiting plates 3313 are also arranged at the connecting position 318. After the connecting assembly 320 is assembled in the joint body 310, the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 respectively register within retention  notches 329 and abut against the first end and the second end of the base 321 of the connecting assembly 320, respectively. Further, the third limiting plates 3313 abut against the side walls of the connecting assembly 320, and the pressing plate 336 abuts against the central portion of the base 321, such that the connecting assembly 320 is stably retained in the joint body 310.

[0108] More specifically, as also shown in FIGS. 11 and 14, retention notches 329 are respectively provided between the base 321 and the first arm 3221 and between the base 321 and the second arm 3222. The first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 are engaged into the corresponding retention notches 329. With this configuration, the first limiting plate 3311 and the second limiting plate 3312 can further prevent the connecting assembly 320 from shifting in the horizontal direction L1, which helps to stably and securely retain the connecting assembly 320 in the joint body 310.

[0109] A connecting assembly of a fourth embodiment will be described below.

[0110] As shown in FIGS. 15, 16 and 17, the connecting assembly of the fourth embodiment is generally similar to the connecting assembly of the second embodiment, and certain differences therebetween are described as follows.

[0111] As shown in FIG. 15, in the connecting assembly 320 of the fourth embodiment, each of the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222 includes a clamping assembly 351, the clamping assembly 351 being configured to clamp the corresponding first pin 3231 or second pin 3232. Specifically, the clamping assembly 351 includes a first clamping arm 3511 and a second clamping arm 3512 arranged symmetrically with the first clamping arm 3511. First clamping arm 3511 and a second clamping arm 3512 may be provided further with distal chamfer 3514 that assists with guiding installation of the connecting assembly 320 into the joint body 310 and also guiding the inserting portion 4115 to slide under the first clamping arm 3511 and second clamping arm 3512  upon insertion of the inserting portion 4115 into the first horizontal receiver 311. An accommodating space 3513 is formed between the first clamping arm 3511 and the second clamping arm 3512, and the first pin 3231 and the second pin 3232 are respectively clamped in the corresponding accommodating spaces 3513. With this structure, the first pin 3231 is separated from the first arm 3221. In this way, different first pins 3231 may be selected according to the size of the first through-hole 314 and / or the assembly hole 4114, which helps to make the T-joint 30 well adapted to different models of the first horizontal support member 4111. In addition, an opening angle between the first clamping arm 3511 and the second clamping arm 3512 may be adjusted so as to clamp the first pins 3231 with different cross-sectional dimensions, thereby realizing replacement of different pins.

[0112] In an embodiment, the first clamping arm 3511 and the second clamping arm 3512 are integrally formed with the corresponding first arm 3221.

[0113] Optionally, still as shown in FIG. 15, the first pin 3231 includes a pin body 352 and a cap 353 located at one end of the pin body 352. The cap 353 has a greater cross-sectional dimension than the pin body 352. In addition, the pin body 352 is clamped in the corresponding accommodating space 3513, and the cap 353 is located outside of the accommodating space 3513 and abuts against the first clamping arm 3511 and the second clamping arm 3512, so as to help prevent the pin 323 from falling out of the accommodating space 3513. Further, in one implementation, a clamping groove 354 is provided on the pin body 352 adjacent the cap 353 and provides a smaller-diameter cross section than a larger diameter of the pin body 352 so as to assist with locating and retaining the first pin 3231 and second pin 3232 within their respective accommodating spaces 3513.

[0114] In an embodiment, the cap 353 is generally circular (as shown in FIG. 15) , and may also be configured in other shapes, for example, in a polygonal shape, etc.

[0115] It should be understood that the configuration of the second pin 3232 is the same as that of the first pin 3231, as is its clamping and retention within the accommodating space 3513 of the clamping assembly 351 of the second arm 3222.

[0116] A connecting assembly of a fifth embodiment will be described below.

[0117] As shown in FIGS. 18, 19 and 20, the connecting assembly of the fifth embodiment is generally similar to the connecting assembly of the second embodiment, and differences therebetween are described below.

[0118] As shown in FIG. 18, in the connecting assembly 320 of the fifth embodiment, each of the first arm 3221 and the second arm 3222 includes a connecting sleeve 361. The connecting sleeve 361 includes a curved side wall 3612. The curved side wall 3612 defines an accommodating chamber 3611 having an opening 3613, and the opening 3613 faces the corresponding first through-hole 314 or second through-hole 317. Connecting sleeve 361 may be provided further with a distal chamfer 3614 that assists with guiding installation of the connecting assembly 320 into the joint body 310 and also guiding the inserting portion 4115 to slide under the connecting sleeve 361 upon insertion of the inserting portion 4115 into the first horizontal receiver 311.

[0119] Still as shown in FIG. 18, the first pin 3231 includes a pin body 352 and a connecting post 364 located at one end of the pin body 352. The connecting post 364 is shaped to match the accommodating chamber 3611, so as to be inserted into the accommodating chamber 3611, such that the pin body 352 extends out of the opening 3613 and is inserted into and retained within the first through-hole 314. After insertion, the pin connecting post 364 is retained within the first through-hole 314 with an interference friction fit. With this structure, it is straightforward to  remove and insert the first pin 3231 in the accommodating chamber 3611, thereby realizing replacement of different first pins. In addition, the connecting sleeve 361 also limits the first pin 3231 in the vertical direction L2, which helps to prevent the first pin 3231 from falling out of the connecting sleeve 361.

[0120] It should be understood that the configuration of the second pin 3232 is similar to that of the first pin 3231.

[0121] A connecting assembly of a sixth embodiment will be described below.

[0122] FIG. 24 shows that two independent connecting assemblies 320 of the sixth embodiment are mounted in the joint body 310, and the two connecting assemblies 320 are completely separated in the horizontal direction L1. For simplicity, the connecting assembly 320 that is configured to be installed within the first horizontal receiver 311 of the joint body 310 will be described below, and the connecting assembly 320 that is configured to be installed in the second horizontal receiver 312 follows a similar arrangement.

[0123] FIGS. 21 and 22 show the structure of the connecting assembly 320 of the sixth embodiment. The connecting assembly 320 of the sixth embodiment is provided with one base 321 and one elastic arm 340 connected to the base 321. The elastic arm 340 is similar to the first arm 3221 of the connecting assembly of the second embodiment, and the elastic arm 340 is provided with a pin 3401 similar to the first pin 3231.

[0124] As shown in FIGS. 23 and 24, to install the two connecting assemblies 320 into the joint body 310, two mounting plates 341 are arranged at the connecting position 318, and the two mounting plates 341 are spaced apart in the horizontal direction L1. Each mounting plate 341 is provided with a mounting hole 342. The base 321 of the connecting assembly 320 is configured to be mounted in the mounting hole 342. In an embodiment, the mounting plate 341 may be a flat  plate or a curved plate, and in one implementation, the two mounting plates 341 may be connected to each other to enclose a cylindrical structure corresponding to the vertical receiver 313. The mounting plate 341 may be integrally formed with the joint body 310.

[0125] With continued reference to FIGS. 21 and 22, the base 321 has the first end 3211 facing the first horizontal receiver 311 and the second end 3212 facing away from the first horizontal receiver 311. The elastic arm 340 extends from the first end 3211 and is arranged in the first horizontal receiver 311.

[0126] Still as shown in FIGS. 21 and 22, the base 321 includes a mounting portion 343 extending from the first end 3211 to the second end 3212, a stop 344 is disposed at the first end 3211, and an elastic hook 345 extends from an opposite side 344a of the stop 344 to the second end 3212. The stop 344 is configured to be generally parallel to the mounting plate 341. When the connecting assembly 320 is installed within the mounting plate 341, the mounting portion 343 is inserted into the mounting hole 342, the elastic hook 345 correspondingly extends through the mounting hole 342 and is snap-fitted with an edge of the mounting hole 342, and the stop 344 then abuts against the mounting plate 341 (as shown in FIG. 24) . With this configuration, the elastic hook 345, the stop 344, and the mounting hole 342 all retain the connecting assembly 320 to ensure that the connecting assembly 320 is stably mounted and retained within the joint body 310 and the pin 3401 is aligned with the first through-hole 314.

[0127] In one aspect, still as shown in FIG. 22, the elastic hook 345 includes an elastic plate 346 extending from an opposite side 344a of the stop 344 to the second end 3212 of the base 321, and includes a snap-fit flange 347 formed on the elastic plate 346. An extension direction L3 of the snap-fit flange 347 is arranged at an angle to an extension direction of the elastic plate 346 to provide a snap-fit connection with the edge of the mounting hole 342. For example, the elastic  plate 346 extends generally in the horizontal direction L1, and the snap-fit flange 347 may extend generally vertically downward (i.e., the extension direction L3 of the snap-fit flange 347 is perpendicular to the horizontal direction L1) . Of course, the snap-fit flange 347 may also extend in other directions (for example, vertically upward) as long as it can be stably snap-fitted and retained within with the edge of the mounting hole 342, which is not limited in the present application. In addition, when the elastic hook 345 is inserted into and passes through the mounting hole 342, the elastic plate 346 can be elastically deformed to facilitate the entry of the snap-fit flange 347 into the mounting hole 342. After the snap-fit flange 347 passes through the mounting hole 342, the elastic plate 346 is urged by loaded spring force of the deformed elastic plate 346 into a downward position, and can automatically recover and drive the snap-fit flange 347 to enter a snap-fit connection with the edge of the mounting hole 342. In the mounting process, an operator may perceive the snap-fit action between the elastic hook 345 (or the snap-fit flange 347) and the mounting hole 342, such that the connecting assembly 320 can be accurately mounted and retained within in the joint body 310.

[0128] In an embodiment, as shown in FIG. 22, the snap-fit flange 347 is located at a distal end of the elastic plate 346 proximate the second end 3212. In other embodiments, the snap-fit flange 347 may also be configured at other positions on the elastic plate 346, for example, in a middle section of the elastic plate 346.

[0129] In an additional implementation, as shown in FIGS. 21 and 22, the mounting portion 343 protrudes relative to the elastic plate 346 in an opposite direction to the protruding direction L3 of the snap-fit flange 347. In this way, when the base 321 is inserted into the mounting hole 342, there is a space for the elastic plate 346 to deform at the side of the elastic plate 346 facing away from the snap-fit flange 347, such that the elastic plate 346 can be elastically deformed freely  to prevent the snap-fit flange 347 from being blocked, as a result of which the base 312 can be smoothly inserted and mounted within the mounting hole 342.

[0130] In another aspect, still as shown in FIG. 21, two mounting portions 343 are provided and are located at two sides of the elastic hook 345. In this way, the two mounting portions 343 protect the elastic hook 345 to prevent accidental damage to the elastic hook 345.

[0131] In yet another aspect, still as shown in FIG. 21, a guide slope 348 is configured at an end portion of the mounting portion 343 corresponding to the second end 3212. The guide slope 348 helps to assist with installation of the connecting assembly 320 within the mounting hole 342 by guiding the mounting portion 343 during insertion of the mounting portion 343 into the mounting hole 342, allowing for a smoother assembly of the connecting assembly 320.

[0132] A connecting assembly of a seventh embodiment will be described below.

[0133] As shown in FIGS. 25 and 26, the connecting assembly of the seventh embodiment is generally similar to the connecting assembly of the sixth embodiment, and differences therebetween are described below. As shown in FIG. 26, each connecting assembly 320 is provided with one base 321 and one elastic arm 340. The base 321 and the corresponding mounting plate 341 comprise an integrated unit, and the elastic arm 340 is arranged so as to extend in the corresponding first horizontal receiver 311 or second horizontal receiver 312. Put another way, together, the connecting assembly 320 and the corresponding mounting plate 341 form an integrated unit. In an embodiment, the connecting assembly 320 (or the base 321) and the mounting plate 341 are connected together by means of welding, bonding or integral forming, that is, the connecting assembly 320 in the seventh embodiment may be integrally formed with the joint body 310.

[0134] Optionally, still as shown in FIGS. 25 and 26, the first horizontal receiver 311 is provided with a via slot 324 corresponding to the elastic arm 340 (for example, the via slot 324 being located below the elastic arm 340) . In manufacturing the T-joint 30, the via slot 324 can facilitate mold opening. It should be understood that the second horizontal receiver 312 is also provided with a similar via slot 324.

[0135] A connecting assembly of an eighth embodiment will be described below.

[0136] As shown in FIGS. 27 and 27A (with elements from detail A enlarged in FIG. 27A) , the cross-sectional view of the joint body 310 is illustrated in an inverted orientation compared with previous embodiments to better present details of the installed removable first pin 3231 and the exploded view of the removable second pin 3232 as they interface with the connecting assemblies 320 of the eighth embodiment. The eighth embodiment includes features similar to the connecting assembly 320 of the seventh embodiment (for example, having a connecting assembly 320 and the corresponding mounting plate 341 that comprise an integrated unit) . Also as disclosed in the fourth embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 15-17 and the fifth embodiment as shown in FIGS. 18-20, the eighth embodiment also has removable first and second pins 3231, 3232. Differences between the eighth and the previous fourth, fifth, and seventh embodiments are discussed below.

[0137] As shown in FIGS. 27 and 27A, each connecting assembly 320 is provided with one base 321 and one elastic arm 340. In an embodiment, the connecting assembly 320 (or the base 321) and the mounting plate 341 are  connected together by means of welding, bonding or integral forming, that is, the connecting assembly 320 in the eighth embodiment may be integrally formed with the joint body 310.

[0138] In one implementation, still as shown in FIG. 27, the second horizontal receiver 312 is provided with a via slot 324 corresponding to the elastic arm 340. In manufacturing the T-joint 30, the via slot 324 can facilitate mold opening. It should be understood that the first horizontal receiver 311 is also provided with a similar via slot 324.

[0139] As shown in FIGS. 27 and in enlarged detail in FIG 27A, a distal end of each elastic arm 340 (that is, an end removed from and distal to the mounting plate 341) is provided with a pin retention block 452 that includes pin arm receiver 453, which comprises an opening that is generally vertically oriented (e.g. in the L2 direction) . The pin arm receiver 453 is dimensioned and configured to accept and retain the pin arm 352B. The pin retention block 452 also includes a pin retention bore 454 that is generally horizontally oriented (e.g. in the L1 direction) . The pin retention bore 454 passes through the distal portion of the pin retention block 452, and continues through the pin arm receiver 453 into a side of the pin retention block on the opposite side of the distal end of the pin arm receiver 453. In various embodiments, the pin retention bore 454 may be generally cylindrical, and may be smooth or threaded to accept a threaded fastener, or may be deformable to accept a self-tapping fastener.
