Abstract
Description
[0001] Support device for supporting a back of a human body
[0002] The invention relates to a support device for supporting a back of a human body, in particular in a sitting position on a floor.
[0003] Camping chairs, folding chairs and stools currently on the market usually offer a seating position raised above the ground and, thanks to different leg lengths, allow for a wide variety of seat heights. Even if this height is very low, the user always loses a more direct sense of nature and surroundings compared to sitting directly on the ground. For thousands of years, people have therefore enjoyed sitting directly on the ground because it is the most natural way of sitting. Even today, people still like to sit on the ground when they want to relax or rest, especially in their free time, for example in a park, by a lake, by the sea, by a river, by a campfire or at home.
[0004] However, existing floor seating systems lack comprehensive seating comfort features for sitting at ground level, such as universal adjustment or leaning functions for the head and / or back. Furthermore, they are too bulky, too wide, too heavy, not stable enough, have insufficient structural properties, and / or are ergonomically uncomfortable.
[0005] The object underlying the invention is therefore to solve the above-mentioned problems and to provide a floor seating device or a support device for supporting the back of a human body, in particular in a sitting position on a floor. This object is achieved by a support device according to claim 1.
[0006] Advantageous further developments of the invention are contained in the dependent claims.
[0007] According to one aspect of the invention, a support device for supporting the back of a human body, in particular in a sitting position on a floor, comprises: a rigid backrest with a backrest surface configured to support the back, wherein the backrest surface has an elongated recess with a first longitudinal direction. The support device further comprises an elongated floor support device with a second longitudinal direction and with a first end and a second end opposite along the second longitudinal direction. The backrest has a joint on a side opposite the backrest surface, which is designed to connect the floor support device to the backrest in the region of its first end so that it can pivot about a first pivot axis perpendicular to the first longitudinal direction of the recess by a pivot angle, such that the floor support device is designed to be folded onto the backrest and pivoted away from it. The floor support device has an elongated floor support component in the second longitudinal direction of the floor support device and a first pivot angle limiting device, and the floor support component has a first floor support component end and a second floor support component end.The first floor support component end is connected to the backrest, the second floor support component end is configured to bear against the floor, and the first pivot angle limiting device is configured to limit a pivot angle of the floor support component to the backrest to a predefined angle.
[0008] The backrest surface is designed to support the back, ensuring that the backrest surface is at least partially adapted to the contours of the back and that it does not cause an uncomfortable point load, even if it is at least partially straight. For example, it could be formed by two slats, for example, made of wood.
[0009] The elongated recess in the backrest surface is either formed by a depression, so that the backrest has a material that is continuous across the recess, or it is formed by a cutout, which is an opening that is continuous in the thickness direction of the backrest. For stability reasons, however, it is advantageous if the backrest is connected continuously in its width direction, either integrally or via a separate element, at least at its upper end and its lower end, which are located during intended use.
[0010] The joint, which pivots the floor support at its first end on the side opposite the backrest, allows for an ergonomically favorable support position on the back, allowing the user to adjust the angle of inclination of the backrest to a comfortable level. The joint also enables a statically stable connection between the backrest and the floor support. The joint allows the floor support to be folded onto the backrest and placed in a transport position, making the floor support as compact as possible and easy to transport.
[0011] The end opposite the first end of the ground support device in the second longitudinal direction can either be supported directly thereon, for example in the case of soft ground such as sandy ground, or can also be supported, for example, on a tree or a wall, in which case the ground support device does not necessarily have to be additionally supported on the ground.
[0012] With the aid of the pivot angle limiting device, the pivot angle of the floor support component relative to the backrest can be limited, thus adjusting the inclination of the backrest. In an advantageous further development of the support device, the recess extends in the first longitudinal direction at least to one end of the backrest surface.
[0013] By forming the recess at least up to one end of the backrest surface, so that the recess is also reflected in the front surface of one end, the spine can be exposed and it is prevented that a quasi-point load is created on the spine at one end, which would cause an unpleasant sitting feeling and pain.
[0014] In an advantageous development of the support device, the recess has a width in a range of 2.5 cm to 7 cm, preferably in a range of 3 cm to 5 cm, and a depth of at least 0.5 cm.
[0015] In an advantageous development, the first pivot angle limiting device comprises a rope- or chain-like element with a first fastening point and a second fastening point, with a predefined length therebetween. The pivot angle limiting device is connected to the first fastening point in a region of a lower end of the backrest during intended use, i.e., closer to the lower end of the backrest, and is connected to the floor support device at the second fastening point in a region of the second end of the floor support device, i.e., closer to the second end.
[0016] The attachment points are either nodes connecting the rope-like element to the backrest or the floor support device, or, for example, points where the rope-like element wraps around or is otherwise connected to the backrest or the floor support device, or a respective element thereof. The length of the rope-like element between the attachment points can be selected by appropriate knotting, wrapping, or other connection, allowing different pivot angles of the floor support device relative to the backrest to be selected in order to adjust the angle of the backrest to the floor for a comfortable and ergonomic sitting position.
[0017] According to another advantageous development, the pivot angle limiting device has a rod-like support element with a first rod end and a second rod end and with a predetermined length, wherein the rod-like support element is connected to the backrest at the first rod end in a region of an end of the backrest which is at the top during intended use, and the floor support component has a floor support component fixing device by means of which the rod-like support element can be connected to the second rod end at a predefined location on the floor support component.
[0018] Advantageously, the ground support component has a plurality of ground support component fixing devices along the second longitudinal direction of the ground support device, and the rod-like support element can be fixed to the ground support component at the second rod end by means of the ground support component fixing devices.
[0019] Advantageously, on the other hand, the rod-like support element has a plurality of support element fixing devices along its length, and the rod-like support element can be fixed to the ground support component by means of one of the support element fixing devices.
[0020] In an advantageous development of the support device, the ground support component has two ground support component sections pivotably connected to one another about a second pivot axis perpendicular to the second longitudinal direction of the ground support device, and a second pivot angle limiting device is provided and designed to limit a pivot angle of the two ground support component sections.According to an advantageous development of the support device, the second pivot angle limiting device has two pivot angle limiting device sections pivotally connected to one another about a third pivot axis perpendicular to the second longitudinal direction of the ground support device, one end of one of the pivot angle limiting device sections is connected to one of the ground support component sections of the ground support component in the region of the first ground support component end, and one end of the other of the pivot angle limiting device sections is connected to the other of the ground support component sections of the ground support component in the region of the second ground support component end.
[0021] In an advantageous embodiment of the support device, it has a seat cushion which is connected to an end of the backrest which is located at the bottom during normal use.
[0022] In a further advantageous embodiment of the support device, it has a headrest at the end of the backrest which is at the top during normal use, wherein the support device has a mounting device with which the headrest is mounted on the backrest in such a way that it is designed to be adjustable and lockable parallel to the first longitudinal direction.
[0023] In an advantageous embodiment of the support device, it has a headrest at the end of the backrest which is at the top during normal use, wherein the support device has a mounting device with which the headrest is mounted on the backrest in such a way that it is designed to be adjustable and lockable parallel to a direction perpendicular to the first longitudinal direction and at a right angle to the backrest surface.
[0024] By providing a headrest with adjustable options, an ergonomically favorable head posture can be supported in sitting positions with different back inclinations for different body sizes. Advantageously, the width of the backrest of the support device along the first pivot axis corresponds at most to the width of the floor support device along the first pivot axis.
[0025] The invention is explained below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0026] In particular, it shows:
[0027] Fig. 1 shows an example of a support device in an isometric view obliquely from the front;
[0028] Fig. 2 shows a first embodiment of the support device according to the invention in an isometric view obliquely from behind; and
[0029] Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment of the support device in an isometric view obliquely from behind.
[0030] Fig. 1 shows a support device 1 not belonging to the invention for supporting a back of a human body, in particular in a sitting position on a floor, obliquely from the front.
[0031] The support device 1 comprises a rigid backrest 2 with a backrest surface 3 designed to support the back. Furthermore, the support device 1 comprises an elongated floor support device 4.
[0032] The backrest surface 3 has an elongated recess 5 with a longitudinal direction LR1. In the illustrated embodiment, the recess 5 extends in the first longitudinal direction LR1 to both ends of the backrest surface 3, so that it is reflected in the respective end face at these ends. In an alternative embodiment, the recess 5 extends only to one end of the backrest surface 3. In the illustrated embodiment, the backrest 2 is formed from two bars 6 that are connected by two struts 7. The backrest 2 is rigid, which means that it essentially does not deform when the back is leaned against the backrest 2. Optionally, however, the backrest 2 can be provided with flexible padding, in which case a rigid support material is provided. The suitability of the backrest surface 3 for supporting the back is ensured by the fact that it is approximately adapted to the contour of the back, at least in sections. However, it can also be straight, as in the illustrated embodiment, and has a sufficient length so that no point load occurs on the back. In alternative embodiments, the backrest 2 can also be formed in one piece, for example from a plastic molded part, with the recess 5 then being molded into the plastic molded part.
[0033] The recess 5 is formed as a continuous cutout, with the exception of the two recessed struts 7. In alternative embodiments, the recess 5 is formed as a depression that does not extend through the entire thickness of the backrest 2. The recess 5 has a width of 3 cm here, but can have a width in a range of 2.5 cm to 7 cm, preferably in a range of 3 cm to 5 cm, and a depth of at least 0.5 cm, here 4 cm.
[0034] The ground support device 4 has a second longitudinal direction LR2 and a first end 4.1 and a second end 4.2 opposite along the longitudinal direction LR2.
[0035] The backrest 2 has a joint 8 on a side opposite the backrest surface 3, which pivotably connects the floor support device 4 to the backrest 2 in the region of its first end 4.1 about a first pivot axis 9 perpendicular to the first longitudinal direction LR1 of the recess 5. This allows the floor support device 4 to be folded onto the backrest 2 and pivoted away from it. The definition "in the region of one end" in this patent application means, for example, that a connection is closer to this end than to the opposite end.
[0036] The support device 1 shown in Fig. 1 has a seat cushion 10 having a rope-like fastening device 11. The rope-like fastening device 11 is connected to the ground support device 4 in a region of the second end 4.2 of the ground support device 4, i.e., closer to the second end 4.2 than to the first end 4.1, and secured with a knot. The seat cushion is flexible, so that when the support device 1 is folded up, it does not unfavorably increase its dimensions. In alternative embodiments, the rope-like fastening device 11 can wrap around the ground support device 4 or be attached in some other way, instead of being secured with a knot.In further alternative embodiments, the seat cushion is rigid with a minimum possible width, or no seat cushion 10 is provided, wherein the floor support device 4 is then supported on a raised area in the floor, or for example on a flexible floor.
[0037] The width of the backrest 2 along the first pivot axis 9 corresponds to a maximum width of the floor support device 4 along the first pivot axis 9. This ensures that the support device 1 is as narrow as possible in order to transport the support device 1 comfortably.
[0038] Fig. 2 shows an isometric view of a first embodiment of the support device 1 according to the invention from an angle behind.
[0039] The first embodiment of the support device 1 according to the invention differs from the first embodiment in that the ground support device 4 has an elongated ground support component 12 in the second longitudinal direction LR2 of the ground support device 4 and a first pivot angle limiting device 13.
[0040] The ground support component 12 has a first ground support component end 12.1 and a second ground support component end 12.2. The first ground support component end 12.1 is connected to the backrest 2, and the second ground support component end 12.2 is designed to bear against the ground. The ability to bear against the ground also means that the ground support component 12 can also bear against another surface on which the support device 1 is arranged and / or against a surface that protrudes from the ground or the other surface, for example, against a wall or a tree.
[0041] The first pivot angle limiting device 13 limits the pivot angle of the floor support component 12 relative to the backrest 2 to a predefined angle. The pivot angle is limited such that the backrest 2 cannot pivot further away from the floor support device 4.
[0042] In the first embodiment, the first pivot angle limiting device 13 has a rod-like support element 14 with a first rod end 14.1 and a second rod end 14.2 and with a predetermined length L. The predetermined length L defines the length of connecting elements of the rod-like support element 14 and not necessarily the absolute length of the rod-like support element 14. The rod-like support element 14 is pivotally connected to the backrest 2 at the first rod end 14.1 in a region of an end that is located at the top during intended use of the support device, i.e. closer to the top end than to the bottom end.
[0043] The ground support component 12 has a plurality of ground support component fixing devices 15 along the second longitudinal direction LR2, and the rod-like support element 14 can be connected to the ground support component 12 at the second rod end 14.2 by means of the ground support component fixing devices 15, each at a predefined location on the ground support component 12. The ground support component fixing devices 15 are each formed by a groove in the ground support component 12, so that the ground support component 12, in the embodiment shown, has a plurality of grooves along the second longitudinal direction LR2 as ground support component fixing devices 15. The rod-like support element 14 has a transverse pin at the second end 14.2, via which the rod-like support element 14 can be fixed to the ground support component 12 by means of the ground support component fixing devices 15.In an alternative embodiment, only one ground support component fixing device 15 is provided. In further alternative embodiments, holes or projections, such as bolts, pins, studs, etc., are provided instead of the grooves.
[0044] The support device 1 in the first embodiment further comprises a seat cushion 18, which is connected to a lower end of the backrest 2 during normal use of the support device 1. In alternative embodiments, no seat cushion 18 is provided; instead, the body sits directly on the floor, and the back rests on the support device 1.
[0045] Furthermore, the support device 1 has a headrest 19 at the end of the backrest 2 that is at the top during intended use. The support device 1 further has a mounting device 20, with which the headrest 19 is mounted on the backrest 2 such that it is adjustable and lockable along the first longitudinal direction LR1. Furthermore, the mounting device 20 is designed such that the headrest 19 is adjustable and lockable along a direction perpendicular to the first longitudinal direction LR1 and at a right angle to the backrest surface 3. In alternative embodiments, only one of the fixing and locking options is provided. In further alternative embodiments, no headrest is provided.
[0046] Fig. 3 shows an isometric view of a second embodiment of the support device 1 from an angle from behind.
[0047] The second embodiment of the support device 1 differs from the first embodiment in that, unlike the first embodiment, no ground support component fixing devices are provided on the ground support component 12, but rather support element fixing devices 16 are provided on the rod-like support element 14. In this embodiment, the support element fixing devices 16 are formed from a plurality of openings in the rod-like support element 14 along its length. The ground support component 12 has a pin (not shown here) that can enter the openings of the support element fixing devices 16, and the rod-like support element 14 can be fixed to the ground support component 12 by means of the support element fixing devices 16.
[0048] In the second embodiment, the ground support component 12 also has two ground support component sections 12', 12" pivotally connected to one another about a second pivot axis 21 perpendicular to the second longitudinal direction LR2 of the ground support component 12. The ground support component 12 further has a second pivot angle limiting device 17 which limits a pivot angle of the two ground support component sections 12', 12".
[0049] The second pivot angle limiting device 17 has two pivot angle limiting device sections 17', 17" pivotally connected to one another about a third pivot axis 22 perpendicular to the second longitudinal direction LR2 of the ground support component 12. One end of one of the pivot angle limiting device sections 17" is connected to one of the ground support component sections 12" of the ground support component 12 in the region of the first ground support component end 12.1, and one end of the other of the pivot angle limiting device sections 17' is connected to one of the ground support component sections 12' of the ground support component 12 in the region of the second ground support component end 12.2. In alternative embodiments, the second pivot angle limiting device 17 can be formed, for example, by a rope-like element.
[0050] In an alternative embodiment (not shown), the first pivot angle limiting device is not designed as shown in these two embodiments, but rather the first pivot angle limiting device comprises a rope-like element with a first fastening point and a second fastening point and a predefined length therebetween. In this embodiment, the fastening points are formed as knots, loops, or other connection options, as was the case with the rope-like fastening device 11 in the first embodiment, whereby the maximum pivot angle between the backrest 2 and the floor support device 4 can be adjusted by changing the predefined length. For this purpose, the rope-like element is connected at the first fastening point in a region of an end of the backrest 2 which is located at the bottom during intended use, i.e. closer to this end, and is connected at the second fastening point in a region of the second end 12.2 of the floor support component 12 to the floor support device 4.
