Abstract

Assays for determining a risk that a compound will induce a liver injury in a subject are provided. A dataset is obtained that comprises a plurality of cellular constituent abundance values for a plurality of cellular constituents for each cell in a plurality of cells exposed to the test chemical compound for a first period of time. The dataset is used to determine a pathway value for each module in a plurality of pathway modules. Each module comprises an independent subset of the plurality of cellular constituents. The pathway values are inputted into one or more first models thereby retrieving one or more first values. The abundance values are inputted into one or more second models thereby retrieving one or more second values. The one or more first values and one or more second values determine a risk that the compound will induce the liver injury.
