Description

[0001] Description

[0002] Vehicle component with locking and unlocking device, in particular armrest with a reversibly extendable and pivoting storage and receiving table

[0003] The invention relates to a vehicle component, in particular an armrest or a foldable armrest with a locking and unlocking device with a reversibly at least extendable storage and receiving table, which can be displaced like a drawer from a retracted position in which it is arranged within a cavity of the vehicle component, into an extended position in which it protrudes at least partially from the cavity into the area outside the vehicle component, and vice versa.

[0004] The document DE 102017 202 969 A1 describes a flexible unlocking element designed as a pull tab or a pull loop, by means of which the cover can be unlocked and opened relative to the equipment parts. The invention describes an equipment part, in particular a storage compartment module, for a vehicle with a housing, comprising an internal storage space, a cover, by means of which the storage space is covered when the cover is in a closed position, and a locking mechanism, by means of which the cover can be moved, in particular pivoted. The locking mechanism is formed from the flexible unlocking element and a securing element.

[0005] The document DE 102021 109 771 A1 explains the transfer of a receiving device of a vehicle component, such as a storage and receiving table, from the retracted position to the extended position. For this purpose, an operating element, exemplified by an operating knob, is provided on an armrest designed as a vehicle component and connected to a control device of the motor vehicle. As an alternative to the automatic transfer, a manual transfer of the storage and receiving table from the retracted position to the extended position and vice versa is proposed. For this purpose, an operating element is arranged on one end of the storage and receiving table. This operating element can be a handle or the like, by means of which the user can manually push the receiving device into the armrest or pull it out of it. The prior art also includes the documents DE 10 2021 108 194 A1 and DE 10 201 127 045 A1.

[0006] The invention is based on the object of creating a crash lock for a vehicle component, in particular an armrest, which is of simple construction and arranged on the vehicle component and is designed to be effective.

[0007] The starting point of the invention is a vehicle component, in particular an armrest or a foldable armrest with a locking and unlocking device with a reversibly at least extendable storage and receiving table, which can be displaced like a drawer from a retracted position in which it is arranged within a cavity of the vehicle component, into an extended position in which it protrudes at least partially from the cavity into the area outside the vehicle component, and vice versa.

[0008] According to the invention, the cavity is formed by a frame structure of a support and guide frame, in which a locking element fixed to the frame structure is arranged in a fixed position below a flat underside of the storage and receiving table, wherein a spring element and a rocker preloaded by the spring element are arranged in a table cavity, which rocker is reversibly held in a locking position by a spring preload generated by the spring element, wherein at least one rocker guide web of the rocker on the flat underside of the storage and receiving table is led out of the table cavity and an actuatable pulling element is connected to the rocker, which is also led out of the table cavity, so that only the rocker guide web and the pulling element are led out of the table cavity of the storage and receiving table, wherein the at least one rocker guide web has a locking link, which prevents the storage and receiving table from being extended, since the locking element fixed to the frame structure engages in the locking gate when the locking and unlocking device is not actuated and locks the storage and receiving table.

[0009] Preferably, the tension element is secured in the table cavity with its fastening end to a crosspiece of the rocker, which is arranged orthogonally to the at least one rocker guide bar and is connected to the at least one rocker guide bar. Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the tension element is guided through a slot on an end face of the storage and receiving table, so that the fastening end is arranged on the crosspiece in the storage and receiving table, and an opposite actuating end is arranged outside the table cavity of the vehicle component.

[0010] The slot is preferably arranged locally in the front side of the storage and receiving table in such a way that each pulling direction is deflected when the pulling element is actuated in such a way that the rocker for unlocking the locking and unlocking device is always raised via the crossbar in the direction of the table cavity into an unlocking position, so that the at least one rocker guide web engages in the table cavity when the locking and unlocking device is actuated, whereby the locking element disengages from the locking link and unlocks the storage and receiving table.

[0011] It is advantageously achieved that the unlocking position of the rocker assumed when the locking and unlocking device is actuated returns to the locking position after the actuation has been completed due to the spring preload of the spring element, as explained in more detail in the description.

[0012] It is preferably provided that the storage and receiving table is formed in two parts from an upper part and a lower part, wherein the table cavity is formed between the mutually facing inner sides of the upper part and a lower part, wherein the rocker is mounted by means of at least one bearing-like stop which is arranged on the at least one rocker guide web orthogonally to the rocker guide web, in the assembled state of the upper part and lower part so as to be pivotable about a rocker pivot axis in bearing structures provided on the inner sides.

[0013] In a further preferred embodiment, the at least one bearing-like support is designed as at least one cylindrical bearing pin and the bearing structures on the inner sides of the upper part and lower part are designed as half-shells, so that in the assembled state of the storage and receiving table, storage of the cylindrical bearing pin in the table cavity of the storage and receiving table is advantageously ensured.

[0014] It is further preferably provided that the spring element is suspended and mounted at one end on the inside of the storage and receiving table in at least one suspension provided for this purpose, while at the other end it engages with at least one spring leg under pretension in a receiving opening of the at least one rocker guide web, wherein the pretensioned spring element always presses the rocker with its spring force into the locking position, as is made clear in the description.

[0015] Advantageously, it is also preferably provided that the at least one rocker guide web has a run-on bevel on its underside, which in the locking position always projects out of the receiving opening of the lower part relative to the flat underside of the lower part, so that the run-on bevel is arranged in an exposed manner on the underside of the lower part.

[0016] Finally, it is further preferably provided that the storage and receiving table is pushed back from its extended position into its retracted position, wherein the run-up slope passes the locking element fixed to the frame structure, wherein the rocker is lifted over the run-up slope until the locking element fixed to the frame structure passes the run-up slope, after which the rocker thus snaps the locking link back into the locking position by the force of the pre-tensioned spring element.

[0017] A vehicle component is claimed with a locking and unlocking device as an interior fitting component, which has at least one cavity in the frame structure in which the storage and receiving table is formed and arranged in a guided manner, wherein the interior fitting component is an armrest or a foldable armrest on an individual seat or on / in a seat bench or a center console or a foldable center console between individual seats or in the seat bench or a dashboard or a door interior panel.

[0027] Figure 7 is a perspective view (bottom view) of the storage and receiving table in the retracted position (without support and guide frames).

[0028] In all figures, a coordinate system is shown to indicate the spatial directions, in which the x-direction points along a longitudinal direction, the y-direction points along the transverse direction to the left and the z-direction points upwards along the vertical direction.

[0029] One of several possible vehicle components in the following embodiment according to Figures 1 to 7 is an armrest 6.

[0030] If the vehicle component is an armrest 6, with reference to which the invention is explained, and the armrest 6 is in the folded-down position so that its end face 20 (compare Figures 1 and 2) points forward in a vehicle interior, the longitudinal direction corresponds to a vehicle longitudinal direction, in particular forward, the transverse direction to a vehicle transverse direction and the vertical direction to a vehicle vertical direction.

[0031] The following describes the vehicle component with a receiving device 9. The receiving device 9 is a storage and receiving table that can be moved or pivoted like a drawer from a retracted position I, in which it is arranged within a cavity of the vehicle component, to an extended position II, in which it protrudes at least partially from the cavity into the area outside the vehicle component, and vice versa. The storage and receiving table is hereinafter referred to as "table" for short.

[0032] According to the invention, the table is unlocked to move from a retracted position I into the extended position II shown in Figures 1 and 2 by means of a pulling element 17.1, in particular a manually operable pulling loop.

[0033] It is possible for the storage and receiving table to be moved linearly from the retracted position I into the extended position II in a guided linear adjustment movement according to Figure 1, whereby the table can then be pivoted from the extended position II into a pivoted, extended position II-S in a guided pivot adjustment movement.

[0034] By operating the pull loop, the table can be unlocked.

[0035] The locking and unlocking mechanism of a locking and unlocking device 100, which is illustrated in Figures 3 to 7, serves to unlock and lock the table. The locking and unlocking device 100 is designed as a crash lock such that it counteracts a force acting on the armrest 6 with a specific crash force direction. Regardless of a crash, the locking and unlocking device 100 is designed to allow the table to be pulled out of the cavity, i.e., from the retracted position I, from a support and guide frame 6.4 into the extended position II.The locking and unlocking device 100 and the associated locking and unlocking mechanism, i.e., the crash lock, advantageously ensure that in the event of a crash, the table does not inadvertently enter its extended position II or, in other words—when the locking and unlocking device 100 is not actuated—remains in its retracted position I, as explained below. It is first clarified that the locking and unlocking device 100, whose actuating element, is intended to be easily accessible to a user.

[0036] The operable pull loop arranged in the exemplary embodiment is, as the figures illustrate, arranged on the front side 20 of the armrest 6.

[0037] There is only limited space available for an operating element as such, or for the pulling element 17.1 selected as the operating element and the associated locking and unlocking mechanism of the locking and unlocking device, because, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, the table has at least one opening 9.9 near the end face 20, in which at least one cup holder is arranged. This opening 9.9 is formed by means of a cup holder mechanism, which will not be discussed further here, as movable bases for cup holders (not shown). Furthermore, there is limited installation space in the area of the end face of the armrest 6 due to the fact that, preferably behind a panel 6.5 of the table, in particular immediately adjacent to the panel 6.5 in the longitudinal extension x, a recess 9.2 is formed as a receiving contour, which serves to receive flat objects, such as mobile phones and / or tablets or the like, or to place them in the recess 9.2 when the table is in the extended position II. In the exemplary embodiment, the receiving contour is a U-shaped longitudinal groove arranged transversely to the extension direction or the x-direction between the cover 6.5 and the at least one opening 9.9.

[0038] A frame structure of a support and guide frame 6.4 forms a framed cavity for the table, which is best illustrated by Figures 1, 2 and 4.

[0039] The table is arranged in this cavity in the retracted position I. As illustrated in Figures 1, 2, and 7, support arms 6.3 engage the support and guide frame 6.4 along the left and right longitudinal sides of the armrest 6 when the armrest 6 is in the assembled state. In the assembled state, the support arms 6.3 are firmly connected to the lateral areas of the support and guide frame 6.4, i.e., they are connected, preferably screwed, to the support and guide frame 6.4 from the outer narrow sides of the frame.

[0040] In Figures 3 and 4, the table is shown in the retracted position I. As is best illustrated in Figure 7, the table has a shell-like upper part 9A and a shell-like lower part 9B, so that a cavity is formed between them in the assembled state, which is referred to as the table cavity to distinguish it from the cavity in which the table is arranged in the frame structure.

[0041] Figure 3 shows the locking and unlocking device 100, which has a locking link 102.4 that is formed on a locking rocker 102.

[0042] According to Figure 3, the locking rocker 102 comprises a crosspiece 102.1 which is arranged, i.e. rests, on an upper side of the lower part 9B of the table (see Figure 4) and, in the assembled state, is arranged and aligned in the table cavity in the transverse direction y, wherein rocker guide pieces 102.2 (see Figures 5 and 6) are arranged from the crosspiece 102.1 in the longitudinal direction x, i.e. extending orthogonally from the crosspiece 102.1.

[0043] At the end of the rocker guide webs 102.2 (see in particular Figure 6) opposite the cross web 102.1, there are also arranged stops 102.3 which are oriented orthogonally to the rocker guide webs 102.2 in the y-direction and which are designed as bearing bolts which, in the assembled state, are positioned in a bottom view of the vehicle component according to the invention on an underside of the upper part 9A in half-shells provided for this purpose on the underside of the upper part 9A.

[0044] In Figure 5, the shell-like lower part 9B is hidden, allowing a view of the front area of the frame structure of the support and guide frame 6.4. In the support and guide frame 6.4, near a cover frame 6.6 in the lower area of the support and guide frame 6.4, a locking element 101, fixed to the frame structure, preferably in the form of a cylindrical locking bolt (first embodiment) or a rectangular, in particular square, locking square (second embodiment), is located on both sides of the support and guide frame 6.4 in openings provided for this purpose.

[0045] The geometric inner contour corresponds to the geometric outer contour of the cylindrical locking bolt (first embodiment) or the rectangular, in particular square, locking square (second embodiment). In other words, the slotted link is semicircular in the first embodiment and rectangular in the second embodiment, so that corresponding contact surface pairs are formed between the locking slotted link 102.4 and the respective locking element 101. The cover frame 6.6, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, accommodates a cover 6.5, wherein the cover frame 6.6 is preferably manufactured in one piece together with the entire frame structure of the support and guide frame 6.4 forming the cavity.

[0046] Figures 5 and 6 clearly show that the actuatable pull loop 17.1 is fixed to the crosspiece 102.1 with its fastening end opposite the actuating end.

[0047] As is clear from Figure 3 and Figures 1 and 2, the pull loop 17.1 is guided through a slot 9.10 in the upper part 9A in the assembled state. The fastening end is fastened before the shell-like lower part 9B is connected to the shell-like upper part 9B, whereby the fastening end of the pull loop 17.1 is previously guided through the slot 9.10.

[0048] The locking rocker 102 is inserted into the table cavity formed after the assembly of the upper part 9A and the lower part 9B before the shell-like upper part 9A is connected to the shell-like lower part 9B.

[0049] At the same time, it is ensured that a spring element 103 is fixed in bearing-forming suspensions 9.11 on an inner side of the shell-like upper part 9A, so that the spring element 103 is supported on the one hand as a whole on the shell-like upper part 9A.

[0050] The free ends of the spring legs 103.1 extending from the suspensions 9.11 are also inserted, before the table cavity is formed, into receiving openings 102.21 arranged for this purpose in the rocker guide webs 102.2, so that the spring element 103 or the spring legs 103.1 of the spring element 102, on the other hand, are supported on the rocker guide webs 102.2.

[0051] This suspension in the rocker guide webs 102.2 is carried out in such a way that a spring force of the spring legs 103.1 always acts on the rocker guide webs 102.2, which force presses the rocker guide webs 102.2 out of the shell-like lower part 9B (see Figure 7) about a rocker pivot axis Yw in the assembled state, so that when the locking and unlocking device is not actuated, the locking link 102.4 always comes into contact with the locking element 101 when a force acts on the table in the direction of the arrow 27 (see Figures 1 and 2), so that the table cannot move out of the cavity of the frame structure of the support and guide frame 6.4 into an extended position II. The force of the spring element 103 acts on the rocker guide bars 102.2 and thus on the crossbar 102.1 to which the pull loop 17.1 is attached. This is illustrated in Figure 3 by arrow 28, without the spring element 103 being visible.

[0052] Further explanations of the operating principle of the locking and unlocking device 100 are provided below. The spring element 103 always presses the rocker 102 downward (arrow direction according to arrow 28 in Figures 3 and 7) into its locking position P1. When a force acts on the table in the direction of arrow 28, the table of the armrest 6 is locked by means of the locking link 102.4 of the locking and unlocking device 100. The locking element 101, which is fixedly arranged on the support and guide frame 6.4, comes into contact with the locking link 102.4. The table always remains locked in a crash-safe manner when the locking and unlocking device 100 is not actuated.

[0053] To pull the table out of the support and guide frame 6.4 of the armrest 6, the user pulls on the pull loop 17.1, which, as already explained, is directly connected to the rocker 102. When actuated, the rocker 102 (not explicitly shown) is raised via the crosspiece 102.1 against the spring force of the pre-tensioned spring element 103. Advantageously, the user can pull in a semicircular manner in any direction, starting from the front, because not only an upward pull (with the armrest 6 folded down) triggers the lifting of the rocker 102, but also a downward pull triggers the lifting of the rocker 102, because the movement is always redirected in the correct direction by the hooking of the pull loop 17.1 into the slot 9.10 in the front of the table. The locking effect no longer exists when the rocker 102 is raised, so that the table can be pulled out of the cavity of the frame structure. The locking gate 102.4 passes the locking element 101. The locking effect is thus no longer effective, and the table is unlocked and can be pulled out. The pull loop 17.1 can be released after passing the locking element 101. The locking and unlocking device 100 is automatically pushed back into its locking position P1 by the spring element 103.

[0054] Advantageously, the table can be pushed back into the cavity of the frame structure from any extended position without the locking and unlocking device 100 having to be actuated again. The rocker guide webs 102.2 have bevels (see Figure 3) that, in the locking position P1, always protrude from the receiving openings of the lower part 9B relative to the underside of the lower part 9B, so that the bevels on the underside of the lower part 9B are also exposed.

[0055] If the table is pushed back into its retracted position I, the run-up slopes pass the locking element 101, which is fixed to the frame structure. The rocker 102 of the locking and unlocking device 100 is raised over the run-up slopes until the locking element 101 passes the run-up slope, after which the rocker 102 snaps the locking link 102.4 back into the locking position P1 - downwards - by the force of the pre-tensioned spring element 103.

[0056] The description has already made it clear that the pivoting bearing of the rocker 102 in the table cavity is ensured, since in particular the rocker guide webs 102.2 are positioned in the receiving openings 102.21 of the lower part 9B after the assembly of the upper part 9A and lower part 9B. Further positioning takes place via the pull loop 17.1 in the slot 9.10, whereby the pull loop 17.1 holds the cross web 102.1, which is constantly pressed downwards towards the receiving openings 102.21 of the lower part 9B via the spring element 103 and the rocker guide webs 102.2. When the pull loop 17.1 is pulled, it is ensured that the rocker guide webs 102.2 leave the receiving openings 102.21 of the lower part 9B against the spring force of the spring element 103 only to the extent that the rocker guide webs 102.2 remain guided in the receiving openings 102.21 of the lower part 9B.When connecting the upper part 9A and the lower part 9B, the half-shells provided on the underside of the upper part 9A, in which the stops 102.3 designed as bearing pins are located, are also secured in the half-shells by a holding structure formed on the upper side of the lower part 9B, wherein they are preferably also designed such that cylindrical bearing points are formed from two opposite half-shells.

[0057] Regarding the use of the vehicle component, it is stated that the vehicle component can be arranged in more than just an armrest 6. A motor vehicle (not shown in detail) can comprise a plurality of vehicle components, which are also referred to as interior fittings. Specifically, the vehicle component which has the corresponding cavity in the frame structure can be an armrest 6 of a seat bench or it can be a center console arranged between the individual seats. The vehicle component can also be a dashboard or an interior door panel or any other drawer, even outside a vehicle. Each of these components or vehicle components has, depending on the version of the vehicle component, the correspondingly explained storage and receiving table with the described locking and unlocking device. It should also be noted that, in addition to or as an alternative to center armrests, further armrests can be provided on the sides of the bench seat and / or the individual seats. It goes without saying that it is preferred that armrests 6 in particular can be used to rest the arms of persons sitting on the seats. The respective armrest 6 is preferably designed to be pivotable about a pivot axis running in the y-direction, such that the armrest 6 can be moved from the folded-down position to a folded-up position and vice versa. When the armrest 6 is in the folded-up position, it also forms, for example, a backrest of a middle seat on the bench seat.
