Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a strapping device including a weld plate; a motor; a weld arm comprising a weld pad and movable between a weld-arm home position and a sealing position; a link movable from a first position to a second position to cause the weld arm to move from the weld-arm home position to the sealing position; a cam engager supported by the link and movable between a cam-engager home position and an actuated position; and a cam configured such that rotation of the cam in one direction causes the cam engager to move from the cam-engager home position to the actuated position and rotation of the cam in the other direction causes the link to move from the first position to the second position to cause the weld arm to move from the weld-arm home position to the sealing position.
