Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Backpack comprising an external envelope independent of the main pocket Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a backpack comprising at least one strap intended for carrying the backpack by a user, a main pocket formed from a flexible material, and an external envelope formed from a flexible material. State of the art
[0002] Regardless of the field of application in which they are used, backpacks are generally configured to carry loads inserted into compartments of the backpack and carried thereby on the back of the backpack user.
[0003] However, depending on the volume of all the loads transported, it may be advantageous to offer a backpack having a modular volume capacity.
[0004] Known from the state of the art is document DE102018100143A1 which discloses a backpack system, in particular for use on a two-wheeler. The backpack comprises an outer envelope onto which additional envelopes can be attached so as to increase the capacity of the backpack if necessary. This solution is satisfactory in that it makes it possible to offer a backpack with a modular volume capacity depending on the user's needs.
[0005] However, this type of system has the disadvantage of being fixed to the external face of the outer envelope, which contributes to unbalancing the balance of the loads in the backpack. This is particularly inconvenient when the loads carried are heavy, and this can cause back or lumbar pain for the wearer of the backpack. Furthermore, existing solutions do not offer additional envelopes allowing the volume to be increased with a capacity substantially equal to or greater than that of the main pocket.
[0006] Object of the invention
[0007] The present invention aims to propose a solution which responds to all or part of the problems cited above.
[0008] This aim can be achieved by implementing a backpack comprising at least one strap intended for carrying the backpack by a user, the backpack comprising:
[0009] - a main pocket formed from a flexible material, connected to said at least one strap and comprising a frame, said main pocket comprising an internal surface internally delimiting a first compartment located on the side opposite said at least one strap relative to the frame;
[0010] - an outer casing formed from a flexible material and constituting an internal part dependent on the main pocket, the outer envelope comprising an inner surface;
[0011] - a fastening system configured so that the backpack can occupy a confi separation configuration in which the outer casing is completely separated from the main pocket and a fixing configuration in which the frame is secured to all or part of a contour of the outer casing,
[0012] the internal surface of the external envelope and the external surface of the main pocket internally delimiting between them, when the backpack is in the fixing configuration, a second compartment distinct from the first compartment, the second compartment being arranged on the side opposite the frame relative to the first compartment.
[0013] The arrangements described above make it possible, depending on the user's needs, to modulate the capacity of the backpack. Advantageously, the fastening system is positioned at the frame of the main pocket. Thus, this makes it possible to directly transfer a mass contained in the second compartment to the frame, itself supported by the at least one strap, which contributes to improving the lateral support of the entire backpack, while increasing the volume capacity of the backpack. The backpack may also have one or more of the following characteristics, taken alone or in combination.
[0014] According to one embodiment, the second compartment has a volume substantially equal to or greater than the volume of the first compartment.
[0015] By “substantially equal” is meant that the ratio between the volume of the first compartment and the volume of the second compartment is between 0.5 and 1.
[0016] According to one embodiment, the internal surface of the external envelope and the frame internally delimit between them, in the fixing configuration, a total volume in which the first compartment is fully contained.
[0017] Since the main pocket and the outer shell are made of a flexible material, the ratio between the volume of the first compartment and the volume of the second compartment can vary and be adapted according to the load contained in each compartment. For example, the first compartment can be completely empty and the second compartment completely full. In this way, the user of the backpack can choose to distribute the load as he wishes between the first compartment and the second compartment.
[0018] According to one embodiment, the frame is arranged at an external surface of the main pocket intended to be opposite the user's back. For example, the frame may be integrated, attached, or integral with the material constituting the main pocket at its external surface.
[0019] According to one embodiment, the frame is made of at least one metal or an alloy of said at least one metal.
[0020] Alternatively or jointly, the frame may be made of a plastic material.
[0021] According to one embodiment, the fastening system comprises a zipper.
[0022] According to one embodiment, the fastening system comprises loops or fasteners associated with straps or thongs.
[0023] According to one embodiment, the fixing system comprises at least one adhesive element with reversible attachment.
[0024] According to one embodiment, the fastening system comprises at least one press stud.
[0025] According to one embodiment, the backpack comprises a belt and two shoulder straps.
[0026] According to one embodiment, the backpack comprises a chest strap.
[0027] According to one embodiment, the group composed of one or more elements among the frame, the belt, the chest strap, an external surface of the main pocket, the shoulder straps, constitutes the carrying system of the backpack. In this way, all or part of the load included in the first compartment and / or in the second compartment, is distributed on the user of the backpack at the level of the carrying system of the backpack, that is to say at the level of the frame, and / or at the level of the belt, and / or at the level of the chest strap, and / or at the level of the external surface of the main pocket, and / or at the level of the shoulder straps of the backpack. In other words, the load contained in the second compartment is distributed directly on the carrying system
[0028] The arrangements described above make it possible to obtain two containers, one corresponding to the main pocket and the other corresponding to the external envelope folded back on itself. It is possible to provide that in this configuration of the external envelope, it delimits a non-closed volume, that is to say open so as to communicate with the outside.
[0029] According to one embodiment, all or part of the fastening system included on the outer envelope is configured to allow the envelope to be closed on itself, in particular in the separation configuration. Alternatively, the outer envelope may comprise a closure system separate from the fastening system and configured to allow the outer envelope to be closed on itself in the separation configuration. In this way, it is possible to place the outer envelope in a compacted configuration, for example for storage. Alternatively, when the outer envelope is closed on itself, it can be used as an independent bag by forming a bag in itself.
[0030] According to one embodiment, the outer envelope comprises an opening system configured to reversibly provide, in the fastening configuration, a passage through the outer envelope giving access to the second compartment from the outside of the backpack.
[0031] According to one embodiment, the outer envelope may comprise at least one pocket. Thus, said pockets may constitute additional storage inside the backpack when the outer envelope is in the attachment configuration.
[0032] The previously described arrangements allow the user of the backpack to insert objects into the second compartment, in particular when the outer envelope is fixed to the frame.

[0044] The main pocket 5 is formed from a flexible material, is connected to said at least one strap 3 and comprises a frame 7.
[0045] Generally, the frame 7 is arranged at the level of an external surface of the main pocket 5 intended to be opposite the user's back.
[0046] For example, the frame 7 may be integrated, attached, or integral with the material constituting the main pocket at its external surface. According to the example shown in Figures 1, 3 and 4, the frame 7, the external surface of the main pocket, and the shoulder straps 3, constitute a carrying system for the backpack 1.
[0047] The frame 7 may in particular be made of at least one metal or an alloy of said at least one metal. Alternatively or jointly, the frame 7 may be made of a plastic material.
[0048] The main pocket 5, detailed in Figure 1, comprises an internal surface internally delimiting a first compartment located on the side opposite said at least one strap 3 relative to the frame 7.
[0049] The outer casing 11; illustrated in Figure 2, is formed from a flexible material and constitutes a part independent of the main pocket 5. The outer casing 11 comprises an internal surface.
[0050] Finally, the fastening system 9 is configured so that the backpack 1 can occupy a separation configuration in which the external envelope 11 is completely separated from the main pocket 5 and a fastening configuration in which the frame 7 is secured to all or part of a contour of the external envelope 11.
[0051] According to one embodiment, the external envelope 11 is configured to fold back on itself, in particular in the separation configuration.
[0052] In this way, it is possible to place the outer casing 11 in a compacted configuration, for example for storage.
[0053] Alternatively, when the outer envelope 11 is closed on itself, it can be used as an independent bag by forming a bag in itself. Advantageously, the internal surface of the outer envelope 11 and the frame 7 can internally delimit between them, in the fixing configuration, a total volume in which the first compartment is fully contained.
[0054] According to a first non-limiting variant, the fastening system 9 comprises a zipper.

[0056] According to a third non-limiting variant, the fixing system 9 comprises at least one press stud.
[0057] According to a fourth non-limiting variant, the fastening system 9 comprises loops or fasteners associated with straps or straps. The internal surface of the external envelope 11 and the external surface of the main pocket 5 internally delimit between them, when the backpack 1 is in the fastening configuration, a second compartment distinct from the first compartment, the second compartment being arranged on the side opposite the frame 7 relative to the first compartment.
[0058] According to one embodiment, the second compartment has a volume substantially equal to or greater than the volume of the first compartment.
[0059] By “substantially equal” is meant that the ratio between the volume of the first compartment and the volume of the second compartment is between 0.5 and 1.
[0060] According to a variant illustrated in Figures 3 and 4, the external envelope 11 comprises an opening system 13 configured to reversibly provide, in the fixing configuration, a passage through the external envelope 11 giving access to the second compartment from the outside of the backpack 1.
[0061] According to one embodiment, the outer envelope 11 may comprise at least one pocket. Thus, said pockets may constitute additional storage inside the backpack 1 when the outer envelope 11 is in the fixing configuration.
[0062] The arrangements described above make it possible, according to the user's needs, to adjust the capacity of the backpack 1.
[0063] Furthermore, and advantageously, the fastening system 9 can be positioned at the level of the frame 7 of the main pocket 5. Thus, this makes it possible to directly transfer a mass contained in the second compartment to the frame 7, itself supported by the at least one strap 3, which contributes to improving the lateral support of the entire backpack 1, while increasing the volume capacity of the backpack 1.
[0064] In this way, if a load is included in the first compartment and / or in the second compartment, it is distributed over the user of the backpack 1 at the level of the carrying system of the backpack 1, that is to say at the level of the straps 3, the external surface of the main pocket, and the frame 7 of the backpack 1, but also at the level of a belt, or a chest strap if the backpack 1 is provided with one.
[0065] The main pocket 5 and the external envelope 11 being made of a flexible material, the ratio between the volume of the first compartment and the volume of the second compartment can vary and in particular be adapted according to the load contained in each compartment. For example, the first compartment can be integrated generally empty and the second compartment completely full. In this way, the user of the backpack 1 can choose to distribute the load as he wishes between the first compartment and the second compartment.
[0066] Furthermore, the arrangements described above make it possible to obtain two distinct and separable containers, one corresponding to the main pocket 5 and the other corresponding to the external envelope 11 folded back on itself.
[0067] It is possible to provide that in this configuration of the external envelope 11, the latter delimits a non-closed volume, that is to say open so as to communicate with the exterior.
[0068] Finally, when the outer envelope 11 comprises an opening system 13, it is possible for the user of the backpack 1 to insert objects into the second compartment, in particular when the outer envelope 11 is fixed to the frame 7.
