Description

Title of the invention: Seal for a plug-in electrical device as well as a plug-in electrical device and a plug-in electrical connection assembly with such a seal

[0001] The present invention relates to a seal for a plug-in electrical device and to the use of such a seal in a plug-in electrical device. The present invention also relates to a plug-in electrical device with such a seal. The plug-in electrical device according to the invention may be, for example, but not exclusively, a standardized plug-in device, in particular a male charging socket or a female charging socket for an electrically driven vehicle, such as, for example, an electric vehicle or a plug-in hybrid. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a plug-in electrical connection assembly with such a plug-in electrical device.

[0002] Plug-in devices are used in many technological fields to create removable connections for the transmission of electrical currents and / or signals. For reasons of electrical safety and for better handling, the plug-in devices usually each comprise a housing, from within which electrically conductive contact elements emerge, with which mutual electrical contact of the plug-in devices to be connected to each other occurs. In particular at the points where the contact elements pass through, it is necessary to prevent the penetration of moisture and / or dirt into the housing.

[0003] Furthermore, depending on the application, other components may be placed in the housing of the plug-in device, such as, for example, electronic components of operation monitoring systems and / or communication interfaces. These must be effectively separated from the contact elements, since they generally have different electrical potentials.

[0004] The present invention therefore aims to provide technical means making it possible to respond in a simple manner to the above requirements with simultaneous savings in cost, material and / or space.

[0005] This object is achieved by a seal of the type mentioned at the beginning, comprising a passage opening for receiving a contact element of the plug-in electrical device, a contact sealing section which extends in the form of a sleeve along the passage opening and a creepage extension section which is located opposite the contact sealing section, the section creepage line extension extending the passage opening in the form of a tube and / or extending away from the passage opening in the form of a plate.

[0006] The present invention is advantageous in that, due to its shape, the seal is suitable, on the one hand, for installation in a plug-in electrical device and, on the other hand, for ensuring, with its sleeve-shaped contact sealing section, the sealing of a gap which inevitably arises between the contact element and the housing of the plug-in device. In particular, the contact sealing section can surround the contact element of the plug-in device in places. At the same time, the seal is suitable for isolating the contact element inside the housing from other components having a different electrical potential by means of the tube- or plate-shaped creepage extension section. This will be explained in more detail below.

[0007] Due to the functional integration of sealing and insulation, it is in particular not necessary to provide separate insulating components which would otherwise incur additional material costs and expenses and would occupy unnecessary installation space. Therefore, the present invention leads to savings in cost, material and / or installation space.

[0008] The invention also relates to a plug-in electrical device comprising the seal according to the invention, a housing, a printed circuit board arranged on or in the housing, and at least one contact element which is inserted into a contact chamber of the housing and which passes through a contact passage opening of the printed circuit board, the contact sealing section of the seal sealing a space between the housing and the at least one contact element in the contact chamber, and the creepage extension section of the seal covering the contact passage opening in the printed circuit board in order to electrically insulate the at least one contact element from the printed circuit board.

[0009] In this case, the printed circuit board can serve as a carrier for the components already mentioned above with a different electrical potential. An insulation of the at least one contact element from the printed circuit board is thus equivalent to an insulation of the at least one contact element from the components having a different electrical potential. The plug-in electrical device according to the invention thus also benefits from the advantages just mentioned. In particular, the at least one contact element and the printed circuit board can be constructed in a confined space without it being necessary to mill separating slots or take similar precautions in the printed circuit board.

[0010] The use of the seal according to the invention in a plug-in electrical device with a housing, with a printed circuit board arranged on or in the housing and with at least one contact element inserted into a contact chamber of the housing and which passes through a contact passage opening of the printed circuit board also achieves the purpose on which the introduction is based, the contact sealing section of the seal sealing a space between the housing and the at least one contact element, and the creepage extension section of the seal covering the contact passage opening in the printed circuit board in order to electrically insulate the at least one contact element from the printed circuit board.

[0011] Due to the functional integration described above, the use according to the invention also has the advantages which have just been mentioned.

[0012] The invention can be further improved by means of the following developments and embodiments, which can be combined with each other in any advantageous manner.

[0013] The seal is preferably made of silicone, for example vinyl methyl silicone (VMS), or another sealant material having good insulating properties, a good insulating property being present if the CTI (i.e. the acronym for "Comparative Tracking Index") of the sealant material, which indicates the resistance to tracking, exceeds a value of 600.

[0014] According to another possible embodiment of the seal according to the invention, the tubular creepage extension section can extend from the contact sealing section in the axial direction relative to the through opening. Correspondingly, the plate-shaped creepage extension section can extend radially from the contact sealing section perpendicularly relative to the through opening. Alternatively, the creepage extension section can also be designed in the form of a rib, a collar, a ring, an umbrella and / or a bell. The extension direction and / or the shape of the respective creepage extension section can thus be designed according to the geometric conditions of the plug-in electrical device.

[0015] According to another possible embodiment, the plate-shaped creepage extension section may comprise elevations projecting in an axial direction in a radial section relative to the passage opening. Additionally or alternatively, the plate-shaped creepage extension section may comprise recesses sunk or excavated in the axial direction in the radial section.

[0016] In particular, the cavity-shaped creepage line extension section may have at least one convex curvature as an elevation and / or a curvature concave as a depression. The convex curvature can be achieved by a bead, preferably an annular bead. The concave curvature can be achieved by a groove, preferably an annular groove.

[0017] The creepage extension section thus comprises an outer surface, in particular an end surface, with a structured surface whose surface area is greater than the surface area of a smooth, flat surface with the same circumference or with the same apparent surface. Therefore, the length of the creepage produced in one spatial direction exceeds the spatial extent of the creepage extension section in this spatial direction. In other words, the outer surface, in particular the end face of the creepage extension section, is limited by an outer edge and an inner edge surrounded by the outer edge, a distance between the outer edge and the inner edge extending along the outer surface, in particular the end face, being greater than the spatial distance between the outer edge and the inner edge. This allows the implementation of relatively long creepage distances for electrical insulation purposes in a relatively small installation space. The actual required length of creepage distances may depend on contractual, normative and / or legal requirements.

[0018] In order to achieve an additional elongation of the creepage lines, the elevations and / or cavities may be arranged next to each other in a radial direction relative to the passage opening. In particular, the elevations and cavities may follow one another alternately in the radial direction and form a meander.

[0019] Due to the meander, the outer surface, in particular the end surface, of the creepage line extension section has a meander in radial section. The outer surface, in particular the end surface, of the creepage line extension section can thus be corrugated, striated or grooved, i.e. have a corrugated, striated or grooved structure.

[0020] According to another possible embodiment, the seal may also have a fixing section for holding the seal to the plug-in electrical device.

[0021] The fastening section may extend, for example, perpendicular to the through opening, radially inwardly into the through opening and / or outwardly away from the through opening and form at least one undercut or two undercuts which come into positively interlocking connection with the housing, with the at least one contact element and / or with the printed circuit board of the plug-in electrical device. In this way, the sealing gasket can be attached to the plug-in electrical device in a simple manner and, if necessary, can also be removed again for maintenance or repair reasons.

[0022] The invention aims to improve the retention of the seal. For this purpose, the fixing section can be produced in the form of an annular fixing element, in particular a flange-shaped fixing element. The fixing element can be formed in one piece, for example between the contact sealing section and the creepage line extension section.

[0023] According to a possible embodiment, the sealing seal can be designed as a sealing sleeve or bushing which can be inserted into the contact chamber of the housing and into the contact through opening of the printed circuit board. The sealing bushing can be frictionally connected to the housing, the contact element and / or the printed circuit board. To improve this frictional connection, the contact sealing section and / or the creepage extension section can have contact pressure lips projecting radially inwards and / or outwards. The pressure lips of the contact sealing section can further function as sealing lips, with which the sealing effect already described is improved.

[0024] Additionally or alternatively, the sealing seal designed as a sealing bushing can be connected in a form-fitting manner to the housing, at least one contact element and / or to the printed circuit board via the fastening element.

[0025] In an alternative embodiment, the sealing element can be implemented as a sealing element injected into the contact passage opening of the printed circuit board and forms a two-component structural unit with the printed circuit board. The sealing element can in particular be connected to the printed circuit board by material bonding at the creepage extension section. The contact sealing section is then preferably formed in one piece on the creepage extension section.

[0026] Due to the material bonding, the fastening element can be omitted in this embodiment. Therefore, no undercut is required to hold the seal, so that the seal can be made thinner, in particular with less material. In addition, the creepage extension section can thus be flush with the printed circuit board in order to save installation space. Advantageously, in this embodiment, the creepage extension section has only recesses and no elevations, so that the creepage extension section does not protrude beyond the printed circuit board at least on one side of the printed circuit board.

[0027] For applications with a plurality of contact elements, according to another possible embodiment, the seal may have at least two passage openings for respectively receiving a contact element of the electrical device. plug-in. The seal may then also have a number of contact sealing sections and / or creepage extension sections corresponding to the number of passage openings.

[0028] Further, in this embodiment, the seal may comprise a sealing membrane, the sealing membrane connecting the at least two passage openings. In other words, the at least two passage openings pass through the sealing membrane. Preferably, the sealing membrane also connects the contact sealing sections and the creepage extension sections to form a single-piece component. The contact sealing sections may protrude from one side of the sealing membrane and the creepage extension sections may protrude from the other, opposite side of the sealing membrane.

[0029] With the aid of the sealing membrane, the distance between the at least two through-openings can thus be fixed, which simplifies the assembly of the sealing seal. Furthermore, the sealing membrane can serve as a printed circuit board tray which lies flat on the printed circuit board of the plug-in electrical device, the creepage extension section or the creepage extension sections respectively protruding into corresponding contact through-openings of the printed circuit board. In this case, the contact sealing section or the contact sealing sections can each protrude in places into the corresponding contact chamber of the housing.

[0030] This results in a sealing joint geometry that is easy to install when the passage openings are parallel to each other and / or in a plane, preferably in a plane of the sealing membrane.

[0031] Optionally, the sealing membrane may connect to the creepage line extension section or sections in the radial direction relative to the passage openings and thus contribute to a further extension of the respective creepage lines.

[0032] As an alternative to the single-piece component, the plug-in electrical device may also have a plurality of individual seals designed as sealing bushings or sealing elements.

[0033] According to another embodiment of the pluggable electrical device, the printed circuit board may comprise at least one temperature sensor for monitoring the operating temperature of the at least one contact element, a thermally conductive bridge being arranged between the at least one contact element and the temperature sensor, is arranged in the seal.

[0034] The thermally conductive bridge may be provided by a thermally conductive element inserted into the seal or encapsulated by the seal by injection molding.

[0035] Due to the above-mentioned good insulation property of the sealing material and the creepage distance extension effect of the seal, the thermally conductive bridge can be made of a metallic material, for example copper. The higher thermal conductivity of the metallic material compared to the sealing material can thus accelerate the heat transport from the at least one contact element to the temperature sensor at least in places, so that fewer measurement delays result. As a result, overheating of the at least one contact element can be detected more quickly, and a reaction to it can be faster. This is of great importance, among other things, in high-voltage applications.

[0036] In order for the plug-in electrical device to be usable in high-voltage applications, the at least one contact element may be designed as a high-voltage contact. In particular, the high-voltage contact may be designed for the transmission of electrical energy with alternating voltages above 30 V at 1 kV or with direct voltages above 60 V at 1.5 kV.

[0037] According to another possible embodiment, the plug-in electrical device may have a contact stop for fixing the at least one contact element in the contact chamber of the housing. In particular, the contact stop may be designed to enter into a form-fitting connection with the at least one contact element and thus prevent the at least one contact element from being inadvertently removed from the contact chamber. Therefore, the seal is also indirectly fixed in its position via the contact stop.

[0038] For example, the contact stop can be achieved by a latching projection which extends into the contact chamber of the housing and / or is monolithically connected to the housing. The latching projection is preferably designed in a hook-like manner and engages in a recess of the at least one contact element, so that the form-fitting connection between the latching projection and the at least one contact element is achieved automatically when the at least one contact element is inserted into the contact chamber. This simplifies the assembly process of the at least one contact element, and thus of the seal.

[0039] Additionally or alternatively, the contact stop can be implemented by a contact stop element which can be mounted to the housing as a separate component. In particular, the contact stop element and the housing can be designed to be plugged onto each other by mutual relative displacement. Due to the relative displacement, the contact stop element is fixed to the housing and rests on a stop surface. of the at least one contact element. For this purpose, the at least one contact element may have a radial shoulder which forms the abutment surface. Preferably, the abutment surface extends parallel to the printed circuit board. The relative movement between the contact stop element and the housing may also take place parallel to the printed circuit board. In other words, the plug-in device may comprise a contact stop element which can be mounted on the housing, in which the at least one contact element may comprise a shoulder with a abutment surface which is flush with the printed circuit board, and in which the contact stop element may be designed so that it rests on the abutment surface in the state mounted on the housing.

[0040] In order to ensure that the necessary air gaps and creepage distances are also maintained on the contact stop element, the contact stop element, in the state in which it is mounted on the housing, rests only on the abutment surface of the contact element, but does not touch either the creepage distance extension section of the seal or the printed circuit board. For this purpose, the contact stop element may have a horseshoe-shaped tab for each contact element of the plug-in electrical device to be stopped, said tab engaging around the respective contact element and being placed on the associated abutment surface. The remainder of the contact stop element is suitably spaced from the creepage distance extension section of the seal and the printed circuit board.

[0041] This results in a particularly space-saving embodiment if the stop surface, exactly as already described above for the creepage extension section, extends flush with the printed circuit board and does not protrude beyond the printed circuit board. The contact stop element, in particular the horseshoe-shaped lug of the contact stop element, can thus be moved particularly close to the printed circuit board and in front of the seal during the relative movement between the contact stop element and the housing, without being hindered by the latter. This allows a flat construction of the entire plug-in electrical device.

[0042] The object of the invention can also be achieved by a pluggable electrical connection assembly comprising a pluggable electrical device according to one of the embodiments already described and a complementary pluggable electrical device, the complementary pluggable electrical device comprising a complementary contact of complementary shape for each contact element of the pluggable device and at least one signal contact connectable to the printed circuit board.

[0043] The at least one signal contact of the complementary plug-in electrical device may be in direct contact with the printed circuit board of the plug-in electrical device or may be connected to the printed circuit board via a intermediate contact arranged on the housing of the plug-in electrical device and soldered to the printed circuit board.

[0044] Due to the above-described advantages of the plug-in electrical device according to the invention, and in particular of the seal according to the invention, the requirements for sealing and insulation against different electrical potentials can also be met in the plug-in electrical device according to the invention and, at the same time, costs, material and / or installation space can be saved.

[0045] The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings referring to several embodiments whose various features can be combined with each other at will in accordance with the preceding remarks. In the drawings, similar, identical and functionally identical elements are provided with the same reference numerals, as far as this is appropriate. On the drawings:

[0047] [Fig.2] is a schematic perspective sectional view of a plurality of seals according to a second exemplary embodiment in a printed circuit board;

[0048] [Fig. 3] is a schematic perspective sectional view of a plug-in electrical device according to an exemplary embodiment;

[0049] [Fig.4] is a schematic perspective sectional view of a pluggable electrical connection assembly according to an exemplary embodiment;

[0050] [Fig.5] is another schematic perspective sectional view of the pluggable electrical connection assembly of [Fig.4].

[0051] Referring to Figures 1 to 5, the schematic structure and use of a seal 1 according to the invention will be described in detail. The schematic structure of a plug-in electrical device according to the invention is explained with reference to Figures 3 to 5. The schematic structure of a plug-in electrical connection assembly 4 according to the invention will then be described with reference to Figures 4 and 5.

[0052] Figures 1 and 2 each show exemplary embodiments of the seal according to the invention for the plug-in electrical device. Figures 3 to 5 show the plug-in electrical device 2 with the seal 1 according to the invention, with a housing 6, with a printed circuit board 8 arranged in the housing 6 and with at least one contact element 14 inserted into a contact chamber 10 of the housing 6 and passing through a contact passage opening 12 of the printed circuit board 8. [Fig. 3] shows the electrical device plug-in 2 only by way of example with two contact elements 14. Correspondingly, the housing 6 of [Fig. 3] also comprises, by way of example only, two contact chambers 10 and the printed circuit board 8 comprises two contact through-openings 12. However, the contact elements 14, the contact chambers 10 and the contact through-openings 12 are not limited to the number, shape and arrangement shown and can be modified depending on the respective application.

[0053] The seal is preferably made of silicone, for example vinyl methyl silicone (VMS), or another sealing material whose CTI (Comparative Tracking Index) exceeds a value of 600 and thus reflects a good insulation property.

[0054] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the seal 1 comprises at least one through-opening 16 for each receiving one of the contact elements 14 (see [Fig. 3]). The number of through-openings 16 can be adapted to the number of contact elements 14 required for the respective application. Alternatively, the number of seals 1 in the plug-in electrical device 2 can also be adapted accordingly. Thus, the seal 1 is shown in [Fig. 1] only as an example with seven through-openings 16. [Fig. 2], on the other hand, shows a plurality of seals 1 each having a through-opening 16.

[0055] For each passage opening 16, a contact sealing section 18 of the seal 1 extends in a sleeve-like manner along the corresponding passage opening 16. In addition, for each passage opening 16, there is a creepage line extension section 20 of the seal 1 opposite the contact sealing section 18.

[0056] In [Fig. 1], the respective creepage extension sections 20 extend the associated through opening 16 in the axial direction 22 in the form of a pipe. In [Fig. 2], the creepage extension sections 20 shown each extend in the form of a plate opposite the through opening 16 in the radial direction 24. Alternatively, the respective creepage extension section 20 can also be designed in a rib-shaped, collar-shaped, ring-shaped, umbrella-shaped and / or bell-shaped form. The extension direction 22, 24 and / or the shape of the respective creepage extension section 20 can also be modified within a seal 1 and adapted to the geometric conditions of the plug-in electrical device 2 (see [Fig. 3]).

[0057] Due to this shape, the sealing gasket 1 is suitable for installation in the plug-in electrical device 2 in the course of its use and there, with its sleeve-shaped contact sealing sections 18, for sealing the possible gaps 26 that occur between the contact elements 14 and the housing 6 of the plug-in electrical device 2. To improve the sealing, the seal 1 may have sealing lips 28 projecting radially inwards and / or outwards on the contact sealing sections 18. This can be seen in Figures 2 and 3. The sealing lips 28 may also function as pressure lips and create or improve a frictional connection 30 between the seal 1 and the housing 6, the contact element 14 and / or the printed circuit board 8.

[0058] At the same time, the seal 1 is adapted to isolate the respective contact element 14 in the interior 32 of the housing 6 from the printed circuit board 8 and from all components 34 located on the printed circuit board 8 by means of the associated pipe-shaped or plate-shaped creepage extension section 20. In particular, the respective creepage extension section 20 covers the associated contact passage opening 12 of the printed circuit board 8 on the inside and thus electrically isolates the contact element 14 passing through the printed circuit board 8.

[0059] As can be seen from the radial section 36 shown in [Fig. 2], the plate-shaped creepage extension section 20 may have at least one recess 38 sunk or hollowed out in the axial direction 22. In particular, the plate-shaped creepage extension section 20 may have at least one concave curvature 40 as the recess 38. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the concave curvature 40 is provided by an annular groove 42. Additionally or alternatively, the plate-shaped creepage extension section 20 may have elevations projecting in the axial direction 22 in the radial section 36. The elevations and / or recesses may be arranged next to each other in the radial direction 24 relative to the passage opening 16, in particular alternating and forming a meander. 44.In particular, an outer surface 46, in particular an end surface 48 of the creepage extension section 20 may be corrugated, striated or grooved, i.e. have a corrugated, striated or grooved structure.

[0060] As shown in [Fig. 3], the plate-shaped creepage line extension section 20 has the meander 44, i.e., a winding path on its outer surface 46, particularly its end surface 48, via the annular groove 42. Therefore, a distance 50 extending along the end surface 48 between an outer edge 52 of the end surface 48 and an inner edge 54 of the end surface 48 exceeds the spatial distance 56 between the outer edge 52 and the inner edge 54. The generated creepage line 58 is therefore longer than the spatial extent 60 of the creepage line extension section 20.

[0061] The pipe-shaped creepage distance extension section 20 also lengthens the creepage distance 58 between the printed circuit board 8 and the associated contact element 14 with respect to the spatial distance 56 between the printed circuit board 8 and the associated contact element 14.

[0062] The seal 1 shown in [Fig. 1] comprises a sealing membrane 62, the sealing membrane 62 connecting the passage openings 16, the contact sealing sections 18 and the creepage extension sections 20 to form a single-piece component 64. The contact sealing sections 18 and the creepage extension sections 20 are each disposed projecting on opposite sides 66, 67 of the sealing membrane 62.

[0063] As shown in [Fig. 3], the sealing membrane 62 can serve as a card tray 68 which lies flat on the printed circuit board 8 and which is arranged, for example, between the printed circuit board 8 and the housing 6 for vibration protection. The creepage extension sections 20 each protrude into the corresponding contact through-openings 12 of the printed circuit board 8 or through the corresponding contact through-openings 12 of the printed circuit board 8 and align them internally. The contact sealing sections 18 in turn each protrude at points into the corresponding contact chambers 10 of the housing 6.

[0064] Alternatively, the seal 1 can also be designed as a sealing bushing which can be inserted into the contact chamber 10 of the housing 6 and into the contact passage opening 12 of the printed circuit board 8. The seal 1, designed as a sealing bushing, can be held by means of the friction connection 30 already mentioned above.Additionally or alternatively, the seal 1 configured as a sealing bushing can have a fastening section which extends, for example, perpendicular to the through opening 16 radially inwards into the through opening 16 and / or outwards away from the through opening 16 and forms at least one or two undercuts which come into positively interlocking connection with the housing 6, with the at least one contact element 14 and / or with the printed circuit board 8 of the plug-in electrical device 2.

[0065] The seals 1 shown in [Fig. 2] do not have a sealing membrane 62 or a fastening section, but are each designed as a sealing element 70 which is injected into the associated contact passage opening 12 of the printed circuit board 8 and which forms a two-component structural unit 72 with the printed circuit board 8. The respective sealing element 70 is connected to the printed circuit board 8 by material bonding, in particular at its creepage extension section 20. In particular, the respective creepage extension section extends at the same level as the printed circuit board 8. Since the respective creepage extension section 20 does not have only one annular groove 42 and no elevation, the seal 1 on one side 74 of the printed circuit board 8 does not protrude beyond the printed circuit board 8. On the other opposite side 76 of the printed circuit board 8, the respective contact sealing section 18 is integrally formed on the corresponding creepage extension section 20.

[0066] [Fig. 3] shows that the printed circuit board 8 of the electrical plug-in device 2 may have at least one temperature sensor 78 for monitoring the operating temperature of the at least one contact element 14, a thermally conductive bridge 80 being arranged in the seal 1, which is located between the at least one contact element 14 and the temperature sensor 78. The thermally conductive bridge 80 may be designed, for example, as a copper element 82 or as an element made of another metallic material, which is inserted into the seal 1 or encapsulated by the seal 1 by injection molding. The creepage distance 84 between the thermally conductive bridge 80 and the at least one contact element 14 is also elongated by the seal 1.

[0067] As shown in Figures 4 and 5, the at least one contact element 14 can be stopped in the contact chamber 10 of the housing 6. For this purpose, the electrical plug-in device 2 has a contact stop element 86 as a contact stop device 88. The contact stop element 86 is designed as a separate component that can be mounted on the housing 6. In particular, the contact stop element 86 and the housing 6 are intended to be plugged into each other by a mutual relative displacement 90. The contact stop element 86 is mounted on the housing 6 by the relative displacement 90 and rests on a stop surface 92 of the at least one contact element 14. For this purpose, the at least one contact element 14 has a radial shoulder 94 that forms the stop surface 92.In the embodiment shown, the stop surface 92 and thus also the direction of relative movement 90 extend parallel to the printed circuit board 8.

[0068] In order to be able to maintain the necessary air gaps and creepage distances on the contact stop element 86, the contact stop element 86, in the state 96 mounted on the housing 6 (see [Fig. 5]), only rests on the abutment surface 92 of the at least one contact element 14, but does not touch the printed circuit board 8 or the creepage distance extension section 20 of the seal 1. For this purpose, the contact stop element 86 has a horseshoe-shaped tab 98 for each contact element 14 of the plug-in electrical device 2 to be stopped, which partially surrounds the corresponding contact element 14 and rests on the associated abutment surface 92. As shown in [Fig.5], the remainder of the contact stop member 86 is sufficiently spaced from the printed circuit board 8 and the creepage extension section 20 of the seal 1.

[0069] Furthermore, it can be seen in Figures 4 and 5 that the abutment surface 92 of the at least one contact element 14 is flush with the printed circuit board 8 and in particular does not protrude beyond the printed circuit board 8 at least on the side 24 of the printed circuit board 8. Since the creepage extension section 20 of the seal 1, as already described, does not protrude beyond the printed circuit board 8 on this side 74 of the printed circuit board 8, the contact stop element 86, in particular the horseshoe-shaped tab 98 of the contact stop element 86, can move during the relative movement 90 on the printed circuit board 8 without hindrance 8 and beyond the creepage extension section 20 of the seal 1. This is shown in [Fig.4] by dotted lines 100.

[0070] In addition, the electrical plug-in device 2 may comprise a further contact stop 88, which is implemented by a latching projection 104 extending into the contact chamber 10 of the housing 6 and monolithically connected to the housing 6 (see Figures 4 and 5). The latching projection 104 is flexible and hook-shaped and engages in a recess 106 of the at least one contact element 14 in order to generate an additional positively interlocking connection 108 between the latching projection 104 and the at least one contact element 14.

[0071] Figures 4 and 5 show the pluggable electrical connection assembly 4 according to the invention with an electrical pluggable device 2 and with a complementary pluggable electrical device 110 of a design complementary to the electrical pluggable device 2. In particular, the electrical pluggable device 2 and the complementary pluggable electrical device 110 are designed to be plugged together along a plugging direction 112.

[0072] In the highly simplified representation shown in Figures 4 and 5, the complementary electrical plug-in device 110 has a complementary contact 114 which is of a shape complementary to the contact element 14 of the electrical plug-in device 2. The complementary electrical plug-in device 110 also has a signal contact 116 which is designed to be connectable to the printed circuit board 8. In particular, when the electrical connection assembly 4 is in the plugged-in state, the signal contact 116 can come into direct contact with the printed circuit board 8 or be connected to the printed circuit board 8 via an intermediate contact which is arranged on the housing 6 of the electrical plug-in device 2 and soldered to the printed circuit board 8.

[0073] Of course, the complementary electrical plug-in device 110 may deviate from the highly simplified illustration of FIGS. 4 and 5 with respect to the number, shape and arrangement of its complementary contacts 114 and signal contacts 116 and be adapted to its particular application. In particular, the complementary electrical plug-in device 110 may have a complementary contact 114 for each element contact 14 of the electrical plug-in device 2 and a signal contact for each intermediate contact of the electrical plug-in device 2.
