Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Storage device for a motor vehicle interior passenger compartment roof
[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of interior storage accessories for motor vehicles, and more particularly under-ceiling storage units of the overcab type. More particularly, the invention relates to a storage device for an interior passenger compartment roof of a motor vehicle.
[0002] In the state of the art, a variety of interior accessories for motor vehicles are known which make it possible to provide dedicated storage spaces in the motor vehicle they equip, for example storage boxes, storage boxes, storage bins. In utility-type motor vehicles, there are a multitude of storage spaces and arrangements of the driving position intended to simplify the lives of users and to give them a better driving experience.
[0003] In particular, storage spaces called "Capucines" are known, located on an interior roof of the vehicle. The capucines that we know are fixed parts, of imposing dimensions. In particular, we know the document DE19946629_A1 which describes a roof box device for a motor vehicle which comprises a storage box which can be lowered by means of a lowering device.
[0004] The disadvantage of these overcab-type storage spaces is that they are inconvenient for users of the motor vehicle. In particular, users, when entering or exiting the motor vehicle, tend to bump their heads into the overcab. It is understood that it is interesting to find alternative solutions to that described in document DE19946629_A1 and which are specifically adapted to the constraints linked to the size of the overcab.
[0005] The object of the present invention is to propose a new storage device for an interior passenger compartment roof of a motor vehicle in order to address at least a large part of the preceding problems and to further lead to other advantages.
[0006] Another object of the invention is to propose a storage device for a motor vehicle interior passenger compartment roof having improved accessibility for a user compared to known roof storage devices.
[0007] Another object of the invention is to propose a storage device for an interior passenger compartment roof of a motor vehicle which is easier to handle by the user.
[0008] Another object of the invention is to provide a storage device for a motor vehicle interior passenger compartment roof having a loading capacity equivalent to known roof storage devices.
[0009] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with a storage device for an interior passenger compartment roof of a motor vehicle, the storage device comprising: (i) a housing pivotable in rotation relative to the interior passenger compartment roof, the housing being delimited by a lower wall and two side walls located on either side of the lower wall; (ii) a pivot member allowing rotation of the housing relative to the automobile passenger compartment roof, the pivot member materializing an axis of rotation;(iii) a member for guiding the housing in rotation around the axis of rotation and relative to the roof of the interior passenger compartment, the guide member comprising a first rotation stop in which the housing is retained in a so-called closed configuration, a first rotation angle of the housing relative to the roof and relative to the axis of rotation being minimal when the housing is retained in the first rotation stop, and a second rotation stop in which the housing is in a so-called open configuration, a second rotation angle of the housing relative to the roof and relative to the axis of rotation being greater than the first rotation angle when the housing is retained in the second rotation stop;characterized in that the rotation guide member is configured to allow rotation of the housing beyond the second rotation stop, the housing being in a so-called super-open configuration, a third rotation angle of the housing relative to the roof and relative to the rotation axis being greater than the second rotation angle.;
[0010] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the housing forms a storage space of the storage device. By being pivotable in rotation relative to the interior passenger compartment roof, the housing is intended to be retractable into the interior passenger compartment roof. In the implemented housing, the lower wall is lower than the interior passenger compartment roof.
[0011] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the pivot member is configured to allow rotational movement of the housing. In other words, the housing is mounted to be able to rotate around the pivot member.
[0012] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the rotational guide member makes it possible to guide the rotational movement of the housing around the pivot member. When the storage device according to the invention is implemented, the rotational guide member makes it possible to guide the rotational movement of the housing around the pivot member and relative to the roof of the interior passenger compartment.
[0013] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the rotation guide member comprises the first rotation stop and the second rotation stop, distinct from the first rotation stop.
[0014] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, when the housing is retained in the first rotation stop, the housing is retained in the closed configuration. Then, the first rotation angle of the housing relative to the roof and relative to the axis of rotation is minimal.
[0015] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, when the housing is retained in the second rotational stop, the housing is in the open configuration. Then, the second rotation angle of the housing relative to the roof and relative to the rotational axis is greater than the first rotational angle.
[0016] In the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, and in accordance with the invention, the rotation guide member is configured to allow rotation of the housing beyond the second rotation stop. By beyond the second rotation stop, it is understood that the rotation guide member allows the housing to adopt the super-open configuration. In the super-open configuration, the housing forms an angle of rotation relative to the roof greater than the first angle of rotation and the second angle of rotation, corresponding to the third angle of rotation.
[0017] Such a storage device, provided with such a rotating guide member, makes it possible to provide three opening configurations for the housing. Thus, this solution makes it possible, when implemented, to equip a motor vehicle with a retractable storage space in the interior passenger compartment roof of the motor vehicle. The storage device according to the invention has the advantage of overcoming the drawbacks mentioned above, without having to make any significant modification to the motor vehicle with which it is fitted. Such a storage device is particularly suitable for motor vehicles of the utility type.
[0018] The storage device according to the first aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:
[0019] - the rotating guide member comprises a guide rail, the guide rail at allowing the translation of a complementary member collaborating with the guide rail and allowing the housing to pivot around the axis of rotation. The guide rail allows the translational movement of the complementary member to be guided;
[0020] - the guide rail is curvilinear, the guide rail forming an arc of a circle by relative to the axis of rotation. It is understood that the guide rail is curved. Such a guide rail makes it possible to guide the arcuate movement of the complementary member. Alternatively, the guide rail is rectilinear and movable in rotation around the axis of rotation, the guide member forming a connecting rod. It is understood that the guide rail is straight in the guide member;
[0021] - the guide rail is located on at least one of the side walls of the housing, the at least one side wall on which the guide rail is located forming a guide face, and the complementary member is integral with the roof of the interior passenger compartment, the roof of the interior passenger compartment forming a guided face. Alternatively, the guide face is formed by the roof of the interior passenger compartment, the guide rail being located on said roof, and the guided face is formed by at least one of the side walls of the housing, the complementary member being located on at least one of the side walls of the housing;
[0022] - the guide rail is attached to or made of the same material as the guide face, and / or the complementary member is attached to or made of the same material as the guided face. When the guide rail is attached to the guide face, the guide rail may be fixed integrally to the guide face by any means, whether permanent or non-permanent. When the guide rail is made of the same material as the guide face, the term "made of the same material" means that, in the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the guide rail and the guide face cannot be separated from each other without all or part of their integrity being impaired. Thus, in the storage device according to the invention, the guide rail and the guide face form an assembly described as a single piece because together they form only one single continuous part, made from a single piece and obtained during the same manufacturing process.The invention according to its first aspect thus advantageously makes it possible to obtain a prefabricated storage device, the manufacture of which is simplified since it does away with the assembly of the guide rail and the guide face as well as the presence of fixing means between the guide rail and the guide face. In addition, a single-piece storage device can be machined in a variety of different dimensions so as to be adapted to different models of motor vehicles. Such a storage device is also more rigid and lighter. When the complementary member is attached to the guided face, the complementary member can be fixed integrally to the guided face by any means, whether permanent or non-permanent.When the complementary member is made of a single material with the guided face, the term "made of a single material" means that, in the storage device according to the first aspect of the invention, the complementary member and the guided face cannot be separated from each other without all or part of their integrity being impaired. Thus, in the storage device according to the invention, the complementary member and the guided face form an assembly described as a single piece because together they form only one single continuous part, made from a single piece and obtained during the same manufacturing process. The invention according to its first aspect thus advantageously makes it possible to obtain a prefabricated storage device, the manufacturing of which is simplified since it does away with the assembly of the complementary member and the guided face as well as the presence of fixing means between the complementary member and the guided face. In addition, a one-piece storage device can be machined in a variety of different dimensions so as to be suitable for different models of motor vehicles. Such a storage device is also more rigid and lighter;
[0023] - the storage device comprises a return member configured to generate on the housing a non-zero torque when said housing is in its super-open configuration. The return member makes it possible to maintain the housing in its super-open configuration;
[0024] - the return member takes the form of a torsion spring housed at the level of the axis of rotation. It is understood that the torsion spring is mounted on the axis of rotation and is advantageously coaxial with the axis of rotation;
[0025] - for example for a housing comprising two return members of the type of torsion springs and for a 1.7 kg housing with a maximum load capacity of 9 kg, the torsion spring is characterized by a compression rate of 2.43 N / mm. The torsion spring is characterized by a section of 1.5 mm and a length of 39 mm;
[0026] - the return member takes the form of a tension spring. The tension spring includes connecting ends.
[0027] - for example for a housing comprising two return members of the type of extension springs and for a 1.7 kg housing with a maximum load capacity of 9 kg, the non-zero torque is equal to 13375 N.mm. For example, the extension spring is characterized by a section of 4.2 mm and a number of active coils equal to 7;
[0028] - an angular distance between the first angle of rotation and the second angle of rotation is between 12° and 18°. Preferably, the angular distance between the first angle of rotation and the second angle of rotation is equal to 15°;
[0029] - an angular distance between the second angle of rotation and the third angle of rotation is between 10° and 25°. Preferably, the angular distance between the second angle of rotation and the third angle of rotation is equal to 25°.
[0030] According to a second aspect of the invention, there is provided a motor vehicle comprising an interior passenger compartment, a roof of which is equipped with a storage device in accordance with the first aspect of the invention or according to any of its improvements.
[0031] Such a motor vehicle, provided with the storage device, offers a dedicated storage housing accessible from the passenger compartment and capable of adopting three opening configurations. Thus, this solution makes it possible to equip the motor vehicle with a retractable storage space in the roof of the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle according to the invention has the advantage of overcoming the drawbacks mentioned above, without having to make any significant modification to the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle according to the second aspect of the invention is advantageously a motor vehicle of the utility type.
[0032] Various embodiments of the invention are provided, integrating according to all of their possible combinations the different optional characteristics set out here.
