AI Technical Summary
Existing wiper arms have excess pipe length, which is inefficient and costly, and the manufacturing process is complex due to separate components.
The wiper arm design integrates the pipe directly adjacent to the bearing stud, reducing excess length to approximately 8.6 mm, and incorporates a one-piece bearing sleeve with the fixing part for simplified manufacturing.
This design reduces pipe length and manufacturing complexity while maintaining functionality, achieving cost savings and improved efficiency.

Abstract
Description
Description Title of the invention: Windshield wiper arm FIELD OF INVENTION The present invention relates to a wiper arm, particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising a fixing piece for attachment to the drive shaft, an articulated piece connected in an articulated manner to the fixing piece by an articulated stud, and whose free end carries a wiper blade and a hose for the cleaning fluid from the fixing piece to the free end of the articulated piece. STATE OF THE ART Many types of wiper arms are already known, comprising a mounting piece connected to the drive shaft, an articulated part connected to the mounting piece by a bearing stud, and a wiper blade at its free end. In this embodiment, a hose supplies cleaning fluid to the free end of the articulated part from the mounting piece. DESCRIPTION AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a windshield wiper arm, particularly for a motor vehicle, comprising a mounting piece for attachment to the drive shaft, an articulated part connected in an articulated manner by a bearing stud to the mounting piece and to the free end of which a wiper blade is attached, as well as a hose for transferring cleaning fluid from the mounting piece to the free end of the articulated part, this windshield wiper arm being characterized in that the hose is directly adjacent to the bushing of the bearing stud or directly to the bearing stud. Thus, the invention makes it possible to advantageously reduce the excess length of the pipe, which translates overall into savings, since the pipe comes directly against the bearing sleeve or is adjacent to it. A particularly advantageous feature is that the pipe is made of plastic, which is economical and appealing. A particularly advantageous feature is that the bearing sleeve is made in one piece with the mounting bracket, simplifying manufacturing. Ideally, the pipe has an excess length of less than 12 mm, and specifically less than 10 mm. Brief description of the drawings The present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to an embodiment of a device according to the invention shown in the accompanying drawings, in which: [Fig.1] Schematic side view of a windshield wiper arm according to the invention, [Fig.2] Schematic representation of the articulation region of a windshield wiper arm according to the invention, viewed from below. [Fig.3] representation of the region of [Fig.2] without the conduit. DESCRIPTION OF METHODS OF IMPLEMENTING THE INVENTION Figure 1 schematically shows a side view of a wiper arm 10 according to the invention. This wiper arm comprises a mounting piece 12 and a hinged piece 14 connected by a hinge 16. The hinge 16 includes a hinge pin 18 which forms the axis of rotation of the hinge 16. The mounting piece 12 has, at its end opposite the hinge 16, a mounting eyelet 20 on its longitudinal extension; this eyelet serves to attach the mounting piece 12 to the drive shaft (or output shaft) of a wiper blade assembly. The hinged piece 14 has, at its free end 22 opposite the hinge 16, a hinge means 24 for attaching a wiper blade. The wiper arm 10 is shown here in the operating position, i.e. in the position in which the wiper arm 10 is installed on the vehicle. To change the wiper blade at the free end 22 of the wiper arm 10, the articulated part 14 can be folded upwards by the joint 16. A hose 26 ([Fig.2]) passes through the fixing part 12 and through the articulated part 14; this hose is not shown here in the side view. The pipe 26 passes under the articulation stud 18. When the free end 22 of the articulated part 14 is folded upwards, the distance between the free end 22 and the fixing part 12 increases because the pipe 26 passes from the fixing part 12 along a radius of curvature around the articulation stud 18 to reach the free end 22. The pipe 26 must therefore have an extra length, i.e., be longer than the distance between the fixing part 12 and the free end 22 of the articulated part 14. In the case of wiper arms according to the prior art, this distance corresponds to an extra length of approximately 15 mm. Figure 2 shows the joint area 16 in detail from a bottom view. The fixing piece 12 has a nearly U-shaped cross-section through which the pipe 26 passes. The pipe 26 passes over the joint 16 to reach the hinged piece 14; that is, it has a nearly U-shaped cross-section through which the pipe 26 passes. In this bottom view, the pipe 26 passes over the hinge stud since, in this representation, the hinged piece 14 is folded downwards. Figure 3 shows the same view as Figure 2, but without pipe 26 for the sake of simplicity. The references should therefore be used identically. The fixing piece 12 is connected by the joint 16 to the articulated piece 14. The stud of Bearing 18 is housed in a bearing sleeve 28 which surrounds the bearing stud 18. The bearing sleeve 28 is exposed in the region of the pipe 26 ([Fig. 2]) so that the pipe 26 is directly adjacent to the bearing sleeve 28. This results in the smallest possible radius for the pipe 26 when the articulated part 14 is folded. According to a variant of the invention, the bearing stud 18 can also be exposed without passing through a bearing sleeve 28 so that in this case the pipe 26 is directly adjacent to the bearing stud 18. The direct contact of the pipe 26 against the bearing sleeve 28 or its bearing stud 18 reduces the required extra length to approximately 8.6 mm. The fixing piece 12 is made of cast iron but can also be made of bent sheet metal. The hinged piece 14 is also made of bent sheet metal. The fixing piece 12 and the hinged piece 14 are connected by a tension spring 30 and are clamped in a C-shaped bracket 32. The attachment of the bracket 32 is located beyond the axis formed by the bearing stud 18, so that to fold the hinged piece 14 away from the fixing piece 12, the force developed by the tension spring 30 must be overcome. To secure the pipe 26, retaining elements 34 are provided on the hinged piece 14 and / or on the fixing piece 12, forming tabs that project almost inwards towards the hinged piece 14 or the fixing piece 12.
