Description

Title of the invention: Assembly collar for positioning and holding the ends of two conduit elements that are joined end to end Technical field of the invention

[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of assembly collars, for the positioning and holding of the ends of two conduit elements which are placed end to end, for example conduit elements for the transport of gases, advantageously air or fumes. State of the art

[0002] In inhabited environments, the control of indoor air quality (IAQ) is experiencing particular growth and is gradually becoming one of the key objectives to be achieved in any construction or renovation project.

[0003] In this respect, we observe the significant development of the supply of equipment associated with this management of indoor air quality.

[0004] However, the product offering for the air transport network is based mainly on traditional solutions, such as insulated flexible pipes or rigid single-wall pipes with added insulation, whose actual performance (pressure losses, thermal insulation, sealing, crush resistance) depends heavily on the implementation conditions.

[0005] In particular, certain defects are commonly reported:

[0006] - significant presence of singularities and deviations (significant pressure losses);

[0007] - lack of continuity of the added insulation;

[0008] - lack of sealing at joints or connections with other components network ;

[0009] - lack of access for network maintenance.

[0010] With the current product offering, resolving these defects relies heavily on the expertise of the installers. To do this, installers commonly use rivets, screws, cutting tools, sealant, and self-adhesive jointing tapes.

[0011] It is in this context that regulations related to the construction and renovation of buildings tend towards the implementation of an obligation to verify ventilation systems, with the aim of having a guarantee of the performance of the installation.

[0012] There is therefore a need for new technical solutions that can contribute to the control of indoor air quality and associated installations. Presentation of the invention

[0013] In order to address these prior art issues, the present invention proposes an assembly collar for positioning and holding the ends of two conduit elements that are placed end to end, for example conduit elements for the transport of gases, advantageously air or fumes.

[0014] The assembly collar has an inner face adapted to cooperate with the butted ends of said two conduit elements.

[0015] This assembly collar includes closing means, allowing the assembly collar to be moved between two configurations:

[0016] - an open configuration, for positioning and retracting the ends of said two duct elements, and

[0017] - a closed configuration, for holding the ends of said parts together two conduit elements.

[0018] And said assembly collar includes at least one cradle part, extending over an angular sector greater than or equal to 180°. This cradle part is capable of undergoing, in open configuration, a radial elastic deformation to allow elastic interlocking of said two conduit elements during said positioning and / or said removal, ensuring positioning with temporary retention of said two conduit elements.

[0019] And said inner face of the assembly collar includes first annular assembly means which are adapted to cooperate by annular interlocking with second, complementary annular assembly means which are provided at the ends of said conduit elements.

[0020] The present invention, an assembly collar with a cradle part, allows the assembly / disassembly of conduit elements, with temporary holding of the conduit elements to be associated, before and after the operation of closing the assembly collar.

[0021] In particular, this assembly according to the invention is obtained by the cooperation between, on the one hand, the elastic interlocking between the cradle part and the two conduit elements and, on the other hand, the annular interlocking of the complementary assembly means.

[0022] Furthermore, the invention has original features that allow installers to avoid the defects previously observed when joining two duct elements. It is also extremely easy to use and durable. It ensures the reliability of the entire duct network, without any possibility of error.

[0023] Preferably, the first annular assembly means comprise at least a first annular structure which is selected from a rib and a groove, before tageously continuous or discontinuous, adapted to cooperate by annular interlocking with at least one second complementary annular structure, constituting said second means of annular assembly.

[0024] According to one embodiment, said at least a first annular structure consists of a rib which extends in projection relative to said inner face, to cooperate by annular interlocking with said at least a second annular structure, complementary and concave.

[0025] The inner face then advantageously comprises two lateral borders; the first annular assembly means comprise two collar-shaped ribs which are connected to each of said lateral borders and which are oriented towards said inner face.

[0026] According to an alternative embodiment, said at least a first annular structure consists of a groove which is concave with respect to said inner face, to cooperate by annular interlocking with a second annular structure, complementary and convex, constituting said second annular assembly means.

[0027] According to the invention, said closing means advantageously comprise at least one cap portion, movable relative to said cradle portion between:

[0028] - the open configuration, in which said cradle part defines an opening radial allowing for elastic interlocking of said two conduit elements during said positioning and / or said removal,

[0029] - the closed configuration, in which said at least one part of the cap closes said radial opening of the cradle section.

[0030] Preferably, said at least two parts cooperate through hinge means, for example an integrated hinge or a reported hinge.

[0031] Preferably, said cap part has two ends:

[0032] - a first end cooperating with a first end of said part cradle, by means of said hinges, and

[0033] - a second cooperating end, in a closed configuration with a second end of said cradle part by means of locking means.

[0034] Other non-limiting and advantageous features of the product / process according to the invention, taken individually or in all technically possible combinations, are as follows:

[0035] - the cradle part extends over an angular sector ranging from 180° to 270°;

[0036] - said assembly collar includes mounting means, for example an opening oblong on a stamped area, adapted to receive a support element intended to be installed between said assembly collar and a frame (for example on trusses).

[0037] The present invention also relates to a network of conduits, comprising:

[0038] - several conduit elements whose ends are placed end to end, which the ends comprise said second annular assembly means, and

[0039] - assembly collars, according to the invention, for positioning and holding the ends of two duct elements.

[0040] The ends of said conduit elements and said at least one cradle part of the assembly collars are dimensioned to allow, in open configuration, elastic interlocking during said positioning and / or said removal.

[0041] Preferably, the conduit elements are chosen from:

[0042] - conduit elements whose ends are provided with interlocking shapes male / female, or

[0043] - conduit elements whose ends are devoid of shapes male / female interlocking.

[0044] For conduit elements without "interlocking shapes", the present invention offers a centering of the conduit elements within the cradle part of the assembly collar, before their association by tightening.

[0045] Again for these conduit elements without "interlocking shapes", an advantage of the assembly collar according to the invention is to be able to remove a conduit element after assembly, without having to shift the other conduit elements already in place.

[0046] Of course, the various features, variants, and embodiments of the invention can be combined in various ways, provided they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. Detailed description of the invention

[0047] In addition, various other features of the invention become apparent from the attached description made with reference to the drawings which illustrate non-limiting embodiments of the invention and where:

[0055] [Fig.8] corresponds to the general and perspective view of the part of the conduit network according to [Fig.1], in which the assembly collars are in open configuration and the conduit elements are extracted from these assembly collars;

[0056] [Fig.9] corresponds to the general and perspective view of the network part of conduits according to [Fig.1], in which the assembly collars are in open configuration and the conduit elements are now positioned in the assembly collars with temporary retention.

[0057] It should be noted that, in these figures, the structural and / or functional elements common to the different variants may have the same references.

[0058] A conduit network 1, according to the invention, is thus schematically represented in [Fig.1].

[0059] Such a conduit network 1 generally comprises:

[0060] - several conduit elements 2, the ends 21 of which are intended to be put end to end, and

[0061] - assembly collars 3, for positioning and holding the ends 21 of two conduit elements 2 whose ends 21 are placed end to end.

[0062] As developed in relation to the figures, the assembly collars 3 according to the invention are intended to come at the interface of the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2.

[0063] The assembly collars 3 according to the invention advantageously allow the assembly / disassembly of the conduit elements 2, with temporary retention, before and after the closing operation of the assembly collars 3.

[0064] As detailed later, each assembly collar 3 according to the invention includes in particular first annular assembly means 311 which are intended to cooperate, by annular interlocking, with second annular assembly means 211 provided at the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2. Conduit components

[0065] According to the invention, the term "conduit element" advantageously encompasses conduit elements 2 for the transport of gases, preferably:

[0066] - the duct elements 2 for the transport of air, or

[0067] - the conduit elements 2 for the transport of fumes.

[0068] By "conduit elements 2 for air transport", advantageously means a conduit element for the implementation of an air transport network in an air management and distribution installation of a building.

[0069] Preferably, the duct elements 2 are intended to be assembled with other identical or similar duct elements 2 to create an air transport network, in particular a single or double flow CMV network in a building air management and distribution system.

[0070] By "conduit elements 2 for the transport of fumes", we mean in particular conduit elements 2 intended to extend within a technical duct between a sealed heating appliance of the stove or boiler type, and an external outlet, for example consisting of a roof terminal.

[0071] Generally, the conduit elements 2 advantageously consist of conduit elements 2 which are thermally insulated.

[0072] For example, the thermally insulated duct element 2 comprises a rigid inner tube 25 and a rigid outer tube 26. Both tubes 25 and 26 have a circular cross-section.

[0073] The outer tube 26 is concentric with the inner tube 25, held separate from the latter by annular spacer systems (not shown and conventional in themselves).

[0074] These two inner tubes 25 and outer tubes 26 can be of various kinds depending on the applications envisaged: metal, plastic, composite, cardboard, technical paper, fibrous fabric, rigid foam, etc.

[0075] The length of a conduit element 2 is for example from 1 m to 5 m.

[0076] The conduit elements 2 are preferably rigid conduit elements 2.

[0077] Preferably, the conduit elements 2 are chosen from:

[0078] - conduit elements 2 whose ends 21 are devoid of shapes male / female interlocking (part A of [Fig.2]), or

[0079] - the conduit elements 2 whose ends 21 are provided with the shapes male / female interlocking (part B of [Fig.2]).

[0080] In the form "devoid of male / female interlocking forms", the ends 21 are advantageously straight, perpendicular to the central axis of the conduit element 2.

[0081] In the form "equipped with male / female interlocking forms", the ends 21 advantageously comprise a first male end 21 and a second female end 21.

[0082] This first male end 21 and this second female end 21 are obtained for example by a particular section of the inner tube 25.

[0083] In general, the ends 21 of these conduit elements 2 advantageously include the second annular assembly means 211 (visible in particular in figures 2, 6 and 7).

[0084] The second annular assembly means 211 are intended to cooperate, by annular interlocking, with the first annular assembly means 311 equipping the assembly collar 3.

[0085] In this regard, preferably, the second annular assembly means 211 comprise at least a second annular structure 211a which is adapted to cooperate, by annular interlocking, with the first annular assembly means 311 equipping the assembly collars 3 according to the invention.

[0086] Preferably, said at least one second annular structure 21 is continuous, or discontinuous, on the circumference of the end 21 of the conduit element 2.

[0087] Where appropriate, said at least a second annular structure 21 is advantageously provided at the level of the outer tube 26.

[0088] Each conduit element 2 advantageously comprises two second annular structures 211a, each provided at one of its two ends 21.

[0089] In particular, the second annular structure 21 la is preferably chosen from:

[0090] - a groove 21 lal ([Fig.6]), for example a concave molding or concave groove, intended to receive, by annular interlocking, a first annular structure 31 lal, complementary and convex, equipping the assembly collar 3, and

[0091] - a rib 21 la2 ([Fig.7] in particular), for example a convex molding or a collar, extending in projection relative to the conduit element 2, to cooperate by annular interlocking with at least one first annular structure 31 lal, complementary and concave, equipping the assembly collar 3.

[0092] The second annular structure 211a advantageously has a curved section or a V-shaped section. Assembly collar

[0093] The assembly collar 3 is designed to cooperate with the butted ends 21 of two conduit elements 2.

[0094] This assembly collar 3 thus advantageously forms an interface between the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2.

[0095] As shown in Figures 3 to 6, the assembly collar 3 has an inner face 31 which is adapted to cooperate with these ends 21 placed end to end two conduit elements 2.

[0096] In other words, the assembly collar 3 advantageously forms a sleeve, or an interface, within which the ends 21 are joined end to end of two conduit elements 2.

[0097] In other words, the inner face 31 of the assembly collar 3 is advantageously designed to wrap the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2 (and in particular to wrap the outer tubes 26).

[0098] This inner face 31 preferably comprises two lateral borders 312.

[0099] In general, the assembly collar 3 also includes closing means 4, allowing the assembly collar 3 to be moved between two configurations:

[0100] - an open configuration (Figures 3 and 4), for positioning and removing the ends 21 of the two conduit elements 2, and

[0101] - a closed configuration ([Fig.5]), for holding the ends 21 joined together end of the two conduit elements 2.

[0102] More generally, the assembly collar 3 is advantageously made of at least one part (or at least one piece) which is made of metallic material or plastic material.

[0103] According to the invention, the assembly collar 3 further comprises at least one cradle part 5, extending over an angular sector greater than or equal to 180°.

[0104] Preferably, the cradle part 5 extends over an angular sector ranging from 180° to 270°.

[0105] The cradle part 5 advantageously consists of a curved piece, forming a section of the circumference of the assembly collar 5, preferably in an arc of a circle.

[0106] This cradle part 5 is for example made of a metal strip.

[0107] In particular, the cradle part 5 advantageously comprises two ends 51: a first end 511 and a second end 512.

[0108] The ends 51 advantageously define a radial opening 55 when the assembly collar 3 is in its open configuration.

[0109] According to the invention, the cradle part 5 is capable of undergoing, in open configuration, a radial elastic deformation.

[0110] In other words, the cradle part 5 is capable of undergoing elastic deformation from:

[0111] - a first diameter, at rest,

[0112] - up to a second, larger diameter, particularly during positioning and removal of the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2.

[0113] By “radial elastic deformation”, we also advantageously mean an elastic clearance at the radial opening 55, during the positioning and withdrawal of the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2 through this radial opening 55.

[0114] Such a cradle part 5 thus allows for an elastic interlocking of the two elements of conduit 2 during their positioning and / or removal, ensuring positioning with temporary retention of the two conduit 2 elements within the cradle part 5.

[0115] Advantageously and preferably, the diameter of the cradle part 5 is identical to the diameter of the end 21 of a conduit element 2. And the dimension of the radial opening 55 is less than the diameter of the end 21 of a conduit element 2.

[0116] Furthermore, the inner face 31 of the assembly collar 3 includes the first annular assembly means 311 which are adapted to cooperate by an annular interlocking with the second, complementary annular assembly means 211, which are provided at the ends 21 of two conduit elements 2 placed end to end.

[0117] Preferably, the first annular assembly means 311 comprise at least a first annular structure 311a which is adapted to cooperate by annular interlocking with at least a second, complementary annular structure 211a, constituting the second annular assembly means 211.

[0118] Preferably, said at least one first annular structure 31 is continuous, or discontinuous, on the circumference of the assembly collar 3.

[0119] In particular, the first annular structure 31 is chosen from:

[0120] - a rib 31 lal ([Fig.6] in particular), extending in projection from the face internal 31, to cooperate by annular interlocking with at least one second annular structure 21 lal, complementary and concave, and

[0121] - a groove 31 la2 ([Fig.7]), concave at the level of the inner face 31, for cooperate by annular interlocking with at least one second annular structure 21 la2, complementary and convex.

[0122] In the "rib" embodiment, the first annular assembly means 311 preferably comprise two collar-shaped ribs 311lal which are connected to each of the lateral edges 312 and which are oriented towards the side of this inner face 31.

[0123] In the "groove" embodiment, the inner face 31 preferably has two grooves 31la2, each provided near a lateral edge 312.

[0124] Generally, the closing means 4 advantageously comprise at least one cap part 6, movable relative to the cradle part 5.

[0125] This cap part 6 is advantageously constituted by a curved piece, forming a section of the circumference of the assembly collar 3, preferably in an arc of a circle.

[0126] This cap part 6 is advantageously complementary to the cradle part 5, to together form the circumference of the assembly collar 3.

[0127] This cap part 6 is, for example, made of a metal strip or of a rigid metal wire.

[0128] This cap part 6 is movable, relative to the cradle part 5, between:

[0129] - the open configuration (Figures 3 and 4), in which the cradle part 5 defines a radial opening 55 allowing elastic interlocking of the two conduit elements 2 during positioning and / or removal, and

[0130] - the closed configuration ([Fig.5]), in which said at least one part covers 6 closes the radial opening 55 of the cradle part 5.

[0131] To allow this maneuver, said at least two parts cradle 5 and cap 6 cooperate by means of hinges 7, advantageously defining an axis of rotation 7'.

[0132] The axis of rotation 7' is preferably parallel to the through axis of the assembly collar 3.

[0133] The hinge means 7 here consist of an added hinge.

[0134] Alternatively, and not shown, the hinge means 7 may consist of an integrated hinge, also called a one-piece hinge. Such an integrated hinge may be made with at least one added part or without an added part, for example with a fold line made in the material of the assembly collar 3.

[0135] Preferably, the cap part 6 has two ends 61:

[0136] - a first end 611 cooperating with a first end 511 of the part cradle 5, by means of hinges 7, and

[0137] - a second end 612 cooperating, in a closed configuration, with a second end 512 of the cradle part 5 by means of locking means 8.

[0138] For example, the locking means 8 include:

[0139] - a hook 81, provided here at the second end 512 of the part cradle 5, and

[0140] - a metal stirrup closure module 82, or a clamping loop, provided here at the level of the second end 612 of the cap part 6 and intended to cooperate with the hook 81 of the cradle part 5.

[0141] In general, the assembly collar 3 also advantageously includes mounting means 9 adapted to receive a support element (not shown and conventional in itself) intended to be installed between the assembly collar 3 and a frame B, for example on trusses.

[0142] The mounting means 9 consist for example of an oblong orifice 91 which is provided on a stamped area 92, opposite the inner face 31.

[0143] The oblong orifice 91 allows play in positioning of the assembly collar 3, useful to ensure alignment with successive assembly collars 3.

[0144] The stamped area 92 is, for its part, of interest for receiving a head of the organ support, without interference with the ends 21 placed end to end of two conduit elements 2. Conduit network and implementation

[0145] A network of conduits 1, according to the invention, thus comprises:

[0146] - several conduit elements 2 whose ends 21 are placed end to end, and

[0147] - assembly collars 3, according to the invention, for positioning and holding the ends 21 of two conduit elements 2.

[0148] In practice, said at least one cradle part 5 of the assembly collars 3 is advantageously dimensioned to allow, in open configuration, elastic interlocking during the positioning and / or removal of the ends 21 of the conduit elements 2.

[0149] And generally, in practice, the installation of the conduit network 1 begins with the fixing of the assembly collars 3 on the frame B ([Fig.8]).

[0150] If necessary, these assembly collars 3 are operated in the open configuration, so as to release their radial opening 55 here.

[0151] The conduit elements 2 are then manipulated so as to introduce their ends 21 into the cradle parts 5, advantageously by elastic deformation through the radial openings 55 ([Fig.9]).

[0152] In other words, each conduit element 2 is manipulated so as to insert its two ends 21 into two successive assembly collars 3.

[0153] This assembly then ensures a positioning, with temporary retention, of the conduit elements 2 within the cradle parts 5.

[0154] For conduit elements 2 without "male / female interlocking shapes", the present invention offers centering of the conduit elements 2 within the cradle part 5 of the assembly collar 3, even before the operation in closed configuration.

[0155] The assembly collars 3 can then be operated in the closed configuration by the installer ([Fig.1]).

[0156] The first annular assembly means 311 thus cooperate, by annular interlocking, with the second annular assembly means 211 to complete the solidarization between each assembly collar 3 and the ends 21 of two conduit elements 2.

[0157] In this case, the distance separating the first annular structures 311a corresponds here to the distance separating the second annular structures 211a.

[0158] This collaboration between the first annular assembly means 311 and the second annular assembly means 211 contributes to the tightening of the ends 21 of two conduit elements 2.

[0159] The complementary forms of the first annular assembly means 311 and of the Second annular assembly means 211 are adapted to obtain such compression of the ends 21 of the conduit elements 2 when closing the assembly collar 3.

[0160] When conduit elements 2 need to be removed, for example during maintenance, it is sufficient to:

[0161] - to maneuver at least some of the assembly collars 3 in configuration open, then

[0162] - to manipulate at least one of the conduit elements 2 so as to extract it from the 3-part assembly collars.

[0163] Here again, this extraction is facilitated by the elastic deformation assembly between the cradle part 5 and the ends 21 of the conduit elements 2.

[0164] In addition, the upstream / downstream conduit elements 2 are advantageously held temporarily within the assembly collars 3, by elastic deformation assembly in combination with the cooperation of the assembly means 211, 311.

[0165] Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention within the scope of the annexed claims.
