DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0026] The present description is given as a non-limiting example of embodiment.
[0027] The bin 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2 comprises a generally cylindrical hollow body 10 forming a receptacle or container and a removable cover 20 configured to be positioned on top of the body 10.
[0028] The body 10 here has a flat bottom 101 in the shape of a disc and a substantially cylindrical side wall 102 which extends from the flat bottom 10 and which defines an internal space for receiving and storing waste.
[0029] The bin 1 can thus be placed by its flat bottom 101 on any support.
[0030] The upper part of the cylindrical side wall 102 defines a circular opening opposite the flat bottom 101 and bordered by a peripheral rim 103.
[0031] The diameter of the circular opening delimited by the peripheral rim 103 of the body 10 is, in this example, greater than the diameter of the flat bottom 101. The cylindrical side wall 102 is therefore here inclined from the flat bottom 101 towards the circular opening of the body 10.
[0032] The body 10 forming a receptacle can take other forms.
[0033] The cover 20 is configured to be positioned on the peripheral rim 103 of the body 10 to cover the circular opening of the body 10.
[0034] The cover 20 is here in two parts, namely a first part, called fixed cover, 201 arranged on the body 10 and a second part, called mobile cover, 202 which is mounted to rotate on the first part 201 between a closed position and an open position.
[0035] The cover 20 is here of generally semi-spherical shape in its closed configuration.
[0036] The fixed cover 201 has an annular base 2011 from which extends a curved wall 2012 in the shape of a quarter of a sphere partially overhanging the base 2011.
[0037] The movable hood 202 is in the shape of a quarter sphere.
[0038] The annular base 2011 of the fixed cover 201 has a peripheral groove 2015 circular configured to receive the peripheral rim 103 of the body 10 of the bin 1.
[0039] As visible in Figures 3, 4 and 5, the cross-section of the peripheral groove 2015 is V-shaped, the tip of the V being located at the bottom of the groove.
[0040] This peripheral groove 2015 here has a width at the bottom of the groove less than its width at the entrance to the groove which is oriented, once the cover 20 is in place, towards the flat bottom 101 of the body.
[0041] Due to the geometry of the peripheral groove 2015, the cover 20 can cover different types of containers having different peripheral wall inclinations.
[0042] The curved wall 2012 of the fixed cover 201 has on its opposite edges assembly elements taking the form of two circular bores 2014 arranged opposite each other. These bores 2014 are arranged near the base 2011 in the median plane of the cover 20.
[0043] The movable cover 202 is configured to be positioned on the fixed cover 201.
[0044] In the example illustrated, the movable cover 202 is mounted to be movable in rotation by relative to the fixed cover 201 between a closed position (figures 2, 3 and 7) where access to the bin 1 is prevented and an open position ([Fig. 11]) where it covers the fixed cover 201 releasing an opening for inserting waste into the bin 1.
[0045] The inner wall of the movable cover 202 has on its opposite edges complementary assembly elements taking in this example the form of two pins 2023 which protrude towards each other.
[0046] In the illustrated example, the fixed cover 201 and the movable cover are assembled so that the curved wall 2012 of the fixed cover 201 is located inside the wall of the second cover part 202 in the open configuration of the bin 1.
[0047] In order to fix the movable cover 202 on the fixed cover 201, the two pins 2023 of the movable cover 202 are adapted to be housed and fitted into the two bores 2014 for receiving or passing through the fixed cover 201.
[0048] The shapes of the receiving bores 2014 and the pins 2023 allow simple mounting by snap-fastening or elastic fitting of the movable cover 202 onto the cover fixed 201. The movable cover 202 is thus assembled on the fixed cover 201 by a temporary deformation of the wall of the movable cover 202 during the insertion of the pins 2023 of the movable cover 202 into the receiving bores 2014 of the fixed cover 201.
[0049] Each pin 2023 comprises a cylindrical portion sized to pass through the corresponding receiving bore 2014, the free end of said cylindrical portion comprising on at least part of its periphery a locking element, here taking the form of a locking lip 2023A of the pin 2023 in the bore 2014.
[0050] In the present example, the locking lip 2023A extends over half of the periphery of said free end of the pin 2023.
[0051] In another exemplary embodiment, not shown, the locking lip 2023A extends over more than half of the periphery of said free end of the pin 2023.
[0052] For example, the locking lip 2023A extends over the entire periphery of said free end of the pin 2023.
[0053] In another exemplary embodiment, not shown, the locking lip 2023A extends over less than half of the periphery of said free end of the pin 2023.
[0054] In the present example, the free end of the pin 2023 also carries on its periphery a locking lug 2023B of the pin 2023 in the bore 2014.
[0055] In another exemplary embodiment, not shown, the free end of the pin 2023 does not carry such a locking lug.
[0056] This or these locking elements are sized to prevent the removal of the pin from the bore, except by applying a predetermined disassembly force.
[0057] [Fig.9] is a detailed view of a pin 2023 of the movable cover 202 housed in a bore 2014 of the fixed cover 201 when the movable cover 202 is in the closed position.
[0058] It is noted that the locking lug 2023B and the locking lip 2023A extend symmetrically with respect to the vertical axis of symmetry of the pin 2023, and are arranged opposite each other on the periphery of the free end of the pin 2023.
[0059] [Fig. 10] is a detailed view of a pin 2023 of the movable cover 202 housed in a bore 2014 of the fixed cover 201 when the movable cover 202 is in the open position, the locking lug 2023B and the locking lip 2023A having pivoted 90° relative to their position in [Fig. 9].
[0060] [Fig.8] is a detail view of [Fig.7] showing a pin 2023 of the movable cover 202 inserted into a bore 2014 of the fixed cover 201.
[0061] The implementation of locking lips and possibly locking lugs ensures reliable assembly and easy rotation of the movable hood on the fixed hood of the cover, without risk of untimely detachment of the two hoods.
[0062] As visible in figures 3, 4 and 11 in particular, the movable cover 202 has on a first free edge a gripping tab 2021. This makes it possible to easily grasp and move the movable cover 202 around the fixed cover 201 to open or close the bin 1. The movable cover 202 covers, in an open position of the bin 1, the fixed cover 201 and provides access to the opening for depositing waste in the bin 1.
[0063] In the closed position of the bin 1, the movable cover 202 closes the access opening to the bin 1 and extends the curved wall 2012 of the fixed cover 201 so as to form a half-sphere overhanging the base 2011 of the cover 20.
[0064] When garbage is to be thrown into the bin 1, the movable cover 202 is opened by hand by tilting using the gripping tab 2021 until it covers the curved wall 2012 of the fixed cover 201.
[0065] The opening for depositing waste is quarter-sphere shaped in the open configuration of the bin 1.
[0066] Opening the movable cover 202 at 90° makes it easier to introduce waste while avoiding soiling the cover 20, which therefore remains clean.
[0067] Then, the movable hood 202 is closed by tilting by hand using the gripping tab 2021.
[0068] As visible in the detailed view of [Fig.6], the movable cover 202 has on a second free edge, at the level of its inner surface, at least one holding element 2022 in the closed position, taking the form of a lug or a lip.
[0069] The curved wall 2012 of the fixed cover 201 has at its free edge, on its outer surface, at least one locking stop 2013, taking the form of a lug or a lip.
[0070] In the closed position of the bin 1, as illustrated in figures 2, 3 and 6, the holding element 2022 is in contact with the locking stop 2013, which prevents any untimely movement of the movable cover 202. The movable cover 202 is therefore locked in the closed position.
[0071] When opening the bin 1 by moving the movable cover 202 around its rotation axis, it is necessary to release or unlock the movable cover 202 by applying a predetermined rotation force so as to cause the holding element 2022 to pass above the locking stop 2013.
[0072] Emptying the bin receptacle is simple because the cover 20 is completely detached from the body of the bin 1 (the bin is therefore easy to empty).
[0073] The bin is an easy-to-wash product with a smooth shape (no hollows on its walls).
[0074] The trash can can be made with recycled materials, sturdy, recyclable and helpful in protecting the environment
[0075] The bin can be positioned in a vehicle side door or in the center console.
[0076] The trash can is portable and can be used when camping, fishing, hiking, on the beach and during any other activity.
[0077] In an alternative embodiment, the pins are carried by the fixed cover of the lid and the bores for the pins to pass through are carried by the movable cover of the lid.
[0078] The shape of the pawns is not limited to that illustrated and described in relation to the figures.
[0079] Furthermore, each pin may carry one or more pin locking elements in the bore preventing the untimely separation of the movable cover and the fixed cover. This or these locking elements are sized to ensure a removable assembly of the fixed cover and the movable cover, and to avoid damaging the fixed cover and the movable cover when assembling them on top of each other or when separating them.
[0080] It is recalled more generally that the invention is not limited to the examples described and represented.
