Description

Title of the invention: CONNECTOR DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEM, COMPRISING A TRACTION STRUCTURE, VEHICLE, CHARGING STATION AND METHOD BASED ON SUCH A CONNECTOR DEVICE

[0001] The invention relates to the field of recharging systems for electric motor vehicles.

[0002] The charging of BEV type vehicles can be carried out according to the following charging types which will be chosen by the user: - in mode 2: at 3.7 kWh maximum, in alternating current, where you must use an electronic box integrated into the charging cable, and connect it to a standard domestic socket; - in mode 3: at 43 kWh maximum, in alternating current, where you must use a dedicated cable equipped with so-called “Type 2” connectors, and connect it to a charging station which integrates control, safety and charge regulation / programming functions; - in mode 4: at a maximum of 350 kWh, in direct current, using so-called “fast” or “very fast” charging stations which deliver direct current at a very high power level; these stations have a charging cable with a specific connector (Type 2 CCS Combo in Europe).

[0003] In the case of a charging cable integrated into the vehicle, the connector located at the end of the charging cable does not have a handle or any particular grip shape.

[0004] Thus, the user may hesitate to take it in hand, having a form of apprehension regarding a risk of electrocution (not proven).

[0005] An objective of the present invention is to remedy the defects of the prior art, and in particular to facilitate the handling and use of connectors for motor vehicle charging systems.

[0006] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a connector device for a motor vehicle charging system with a traction battery, the connector device comprising a casing housing electrical connection structures, characterized in that the connector device comprises an insulating traction structure secured to the casing.

[0007] Advantageously, the invention proposes to integrate into the charging connector a gripping solution (in particular a colored wrist strap) which allows the cable to be extracted from its housing without needing to directly touch the connector. The extraction of said integrated charging cable is carried out in particular by means of this traction structure.

[0008] Unlike the prior art, the user does not need to take hold of the charging connector or apply force to the cable / connector connection which could damage it.

[0009] According to one variant, the traction structure is secured to the envelope by means of a pivot connection.

[0010] This allows the traction structure to be securely fixed, while allowing it to take a vertical rest position under the effect of its weight, and a traction position pivoted relative to the rest position.

[0011] According to a variant, the traction structure is a wrist strap. By “wrist strap” is meant a rope fixed at two points to the same part.

[0012] This allows for a simplified and solid traction structure. The extraction of said connector device is then done by means of this wrist strap attached to the connector device. Furthermore, this allows for a better grip of the connector device from a mechanical point of view, when the connector device is plugged into a small hatch.

[0013] According to a variant, the traction structure is at least partially colored in a color different from that of the envelope.

[0014] This allows you to quickly visualize where the traction structure is located.

[0015] According to one variant, the traction structure is at least partially colored in a bright color.

[0016] This makes it possible to visualize even more quickly where the traction structure is located.

[0017] The invention further relates to an electrical connection adapter characterized in that it comprises a connector device according to the invention.

[0018] The invention further relates to an electrical connection cable characterized in that it comprises a connector device according to the invention.

[0019] Another object of the invention relates to a motor vehicle characterized in that it comprises a connector device according to the invention.

[0020] The invention also relates to a charging station characterized in that it comprises a connector device according to the invention.

[0021] The invention also relates to a method of disconnecting a connector device according to the invention, characterized in that it comprises a step of pulling the pulling structure.

[0022] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a view in space of a connection adapter according to a preferred embodiment of the invention; and - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates a view in space of a connection cable according to a preferred embodiment.

[0023] The invention relates to a connector device for a charging system for an electric motor vehicle. These electric vehicles comprise a traction battery.

[0024] The connector device comprises a casing housing electrical connection structures. These structures are generally male or female connection pins arranged in the center of the connector. The male pins are configured to cooperate with female pins to connect a charging station or a home network to a traction battery of a motor vehicle.

[0025] According to the invention, the connector device comprises an insulating traction structure D secured to the casing, in particular by means of a pivot connection P.

[0026] In the preferred variant, the traction structure D is a wrist strap which can be illustrated by Figures 1 and 2, but another type of traction structure can be envisaged within the framework of the invention.

[0027] In the preferred variant, the traction structure D is colored in a different color from the envelope, and from the rest of the connector device. This is in particular a bright color such as fuchsia pink.

[0028] The connector device may be in the form of an electrical connection adapter A, for example of the type with two different forms of connection structures on either side of the casing. This type of adapter is illustrated in summary form in [Fig.l].

[0029] The connector device may be at the end of a connection cable C, such as that illustrated in summary form in [Fig.2].

[0030] The main interest of the invention lies in the possible apprehension that the user might have about taking hold of the connector directly when using the cable, by placing his fingers near the electrical contact areas (pins). The apprehension is significant in the case of devices such as adapter A where the pins are visible.

[0031] Another advantage lies in the ergonomics of use, allowing the cable C to be extracted even in a small hatch and with poor visibility. The strap D can be colored, in a visible color (for example a bright color) making it possible to clearly indicate to the user how to extract the charging cable C.
