Title of the invention: reversible belt

[0001] The present invention relates to a belt comprising closure means such as a removable belt buckle, in particular a reversible belt.

[0002] A belt is generally made up of a strip of flexible material constituting the body of the belt, such as leather, fabric, or other, generally comprising a closure system and which is worn around the waist to cinch a garment at the waist or even hold it up such as a jacket, a coat, or trousers.

[0003] The belt band can be simply knotted or else present as a closure system, a first loop fixed to one end of the band and a second loop, either integral with the first loop or in the form of a belt loop. The end of the band passes through the first loop then into the second loop to be held there. This end of the band is positioned between the central part and the end of the fastening element engaged on the first loop, which is folded over the central part and fixed by cooperation of the male and female elements of the snap fasteners, through the holes in the band, which is thus fixed to the connecting element and therefore to the belt buckle. It is thus possible to remove the folded end on the first loop side to remove the end of the band and turn it over to change its visible face. 1. Belt comprising closure means, a belt strip (2) constituting the belt body, a connecting element (1) between at least one end of the strip and the closure means, the connecting element (1) being in the form of a section of strip, comprising at one end a fixing means and at the opposite end a complementary fixing means, for reversible fixing of the two ends of the connecting element (1) on the end of the belt strip (2) which comprises an opening (21), said connecting element (11) forming a loop in which part of the closure means is housed, characterized in that the opening (21) provided at the end of the belt strip (2) comprises means for locking / unlocking the engagement of at least one of the fixing means (12) in said opening (21).

Belt according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing means of the connecting element (11) consist of a first fixing means of the type comprising a rod extending projecting from a face of the connecting element (11) and provided with a head of section larger than that of the rod, such as a round-headed rivet of the collar button type (12) and the complementary fixing means of said first fixing means consists of a fixing opening (13) provided in the connecting element (11) and shaped to allow lockable / unlockable fixing of said first fixing means in the fixing opening (13).

Belt according to claim 2, characterized in that the opening provided at the end of the belt strip (2) consists of an opening of similar section to that of the head of the first fixing means and of slightly smaller dimensions, this opening having at least one radial cutout at its periphery allowing deformation of said opening to allow the passage of the head then the retention of said head on the belt strip (2), as well as the disengagement of the head.

Belt according to claim 2, characterized in that the opening (21) of the belt strip (2) has a part of section similar to that of the head of the first fixing means, forming an engagement part (21a) for the head of the first fixing means (12), extended along the longitudinal axis of the belt strip (2) by a linear portion whose width is less than that of the engagement portion (21a) and forming a locking portion (21b) in which, once the head has been engaged through the engagement portion, the rod is slidably engageable to the end of the linear portion (21b), thus locking the engagement of the fixing means in the opening (21) of the strip (2).

Belt according to claim 2, characterized in that the opening of the strip (2) has an elongated shape in the longitudinal direction of the strip (2), the width of which narrows from one end to the other, thus having a first end constituting the engagement part for the fixing means (12) and a second end of smaller width constituting the locking part of said fixing means (12).

6. Belt according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the locking part (21b) of the opening (21) of the strip (2) is located near the end of the strip (2).

Belt according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the fixing opening consists of an opening of section similar to that of the head of the first fixing means and of slightly smaller dimensions, this opening having a radial cutout at its periphery allowing deformation of said opening to allow the passage of the head then the retention of said head on the connecting element (1), as well as the disengagement of the head.

Belt according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the fixing opening has a part of section similar to that of the head of the first fixing means, forming an engagement part for the head of the first fixing means, extended along the longitudinal axis of the connecting element by a linear part whose width is less than that of the engagement part and forming a locking part in which, once the head has been engaged through the engagement part, the rod is engageable by sliding to the end of the linear part, thus locking the engagement of the fixing means in the fixing opening.

Belt according to one of claims 2 to 6, characterized in that the fixing opening (13) has an elongated shape in the longitudinal direction of the connecting element (1), the width of which narrows from one end to the other, thus having a first end constituting the engagement part (13a) and a second end of smaller width constituting the locking part (13b).

10. Belt according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the retaining or locking part (13b) of the fixing opening (13) is provided on the side of the end of the connecting element (1).

Belt according to one of claims 4 or 5 and 8 or 9, characterized in that, when the connecting element (11) and the end of the belt strip (2) are assembled, the openings (21, 13) extend in opposite directions to each other, their locking parts being superimposed and their engagement parts extending opposite each other.
