Garment incorporating embedded physiological sensors

A system for unobtrusively measuring bioelectric signals developed by an individual includes multiple sensors, one or more of which constitutes a capacitive sensor attached to a holding device. The holding device serves as a mounting structure that holds sensors in place within a wearable garment. The holding device and sensors are horizontally and vertically adjustable relative to the garment, while the sensors are pressed against the individual and prevented from undesirable shifting upon movement of the individual.

Macro closure device for disposable articles

There is provided an improved tab member for a closure system comprising a tab portion and a slot member. The slot member includes a slit or a loop, with the slot located between an inboard portion and an outboard portion. The tab portion has a tab member having a length, an inner edge, an outer edge and at least one lip portion. The tab member outer edge is passed through the slot of the slot member to engage the fastening device. Once passed through the slot, at least one lip portion of the tab member overlaps or catches the outboard portion of the slot member to prevent the tab member from disengaging from the slot member. The slot member outward portion is retained between the lip portion(s) and the underlying generally flexible tab carrier substrate.

Harness tightening system

The present disclosure provides a harness adjustment system that may be used in various applications including backpacks, windsurf harnesses, kite-board harnesses, mountain climbing harnesses, utility harnesses, backpack shoulder straps, tie-down straps, and various belts for numerous applications. The harness adjustment system includes a first webbing strap, a winding reel, a cable tension member, and a strap lock. The winding reel is secured to a first portion of the strap. The cable is interconnected between a second portion of the strap and the winding reel. The cable loops from the strap to the reel such that winding of the reel retracts the cable to pull the second portion of the strap toward the first portion. The lock is coupled to the first strap second portion. The lock is selectively engageable with the second portion of the strap to relieve tension from the cable. Both cam and plate locks are disclosed.

Overvoltage/undervoltage tolerant transfer gate

A transfer gate or pass gate circuit for transferring logic signals between nodes for a range of available high-potential supply levels. The primary transfer gate is designed to protect against potentials that either exceed either a high-potential or a low-potential level or that undershoot such potential levels. For overshoot (overvoltage) tolerance, this is achieved by coupling a NMOS transistor in parallel with a pair of PMOS transistors that are coupled in series. All three transistors are located between two nodes, either of which can be the input or the output of the transfer gate. The NMOS transistor is designed to be larger than the PMOS transistors and carries most of the transfer capability. The smaller PMOS transistors are designed to eliminate potential drops that would otherwise occur with a single NMOS transistor or with a complementary pair of transistors. For undershoot (undervoltage) tolerance, a PMOS transistor is coupled in parallel with a pair of NMOS transistors that are coupled in series.

Double pull body brace

The double pull body brace comprises a one-piece panel which engages around the torso and overlaps at the front. At the overlap, it is attached to itself by means of a hook-and-loop fastener so that a wide range of adjustment is possible. In the back, spaced cord guides are mounted on said panel. Each cord guide carries a plurality of cord guide lobes. An upper cord is engaged around the upper cord guide lobes, and a lower cord is engaged around the lower cord guide lobes. These cords are separately attached to pull tabs. When donned, the user pulls on the pull tabs to separately adjust upper and lower closure tension of the body brace. When in correct adjustment, the pull tabs are attached in place by hook-and-loop fasteners.

Maternity garment

Maternity wear of the invention accommodates the changing shape of a woman's body during pregnancy, minimizing the need for maternity clothes. In one aspect of the invention, pants or a skirt are worn with the upper end unfastened so as to conform to the shape of the swelling torso in pregnancy, and an elastic band shaped similarly to a tube top is worn generally around the waist, so as to overlap the top of the unfastened pants or skirt and retain them on the body. A top, such as a blouse or shirt, can be worn with its tail end extending over the band. In another aspect of the invention, too-large maternity clothing is worn with the band garment engaged over the upper end. If desired the band garment can be folded over on itself, thus doubling its thickness.
