Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Cardboard box for horticultural products with openings to view the product contained inside. TECHNOLOGY SECTOR
[0001] The present invention relates to a box for horticultural products, of the type consisting of a sheet of cardboard die-cut with folding lines, to obtain a box with closures that can be opened and closed, comprising one or more openings in order to view the product contained inside.
[0002] The object of the invention is to propose a 100% cardboard box, therefore much more ecological and easily recyclable than boxes of this type whose openings include transparent plastic sheets in order to view the product contained inside. CONTEXT OF THE INVENTION
[0003] In the practical application of the invention, boxes have been obtained by developing a sheet of cardboard die-cut with folding lines, to obtain boxes with closures that can be opened and closed, comprising one or more openings in order to view the product contained inside.
[0004] In order to prevent accidental exit of the products contained inside the box, it comprises a transparent plastic sheet over the opening(s), glued to the inner frame of the box.
[0005] The difference in composition between the main body of the box and the sheets that cover the openings obviously makes this type of product complex to recycle correctly. Indeed, the two materials must be separated. The use of plastics also constitutes the problem at the environmental level, even if they are recyclable. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The box proposed by the invention solves the above-mentioned problem in a completely satisfactory manner, based on a simple but very effective solution.
[0007] To this end, and more specifically, starting from the structure of any box of this type in which a single sheet of die-cut cardboard is used which, once assembled, forms a package that can be opened and closed, that is to say, the lid or lids of the package form a single body with the rest of it, which package has one or more grooves for openings in order to view the product contained inside. The invention focuses its characteristics on the fact that, instead of the traditional transparent plastic sheet that covers the openings, it provides a paper mesh which adheres internally to the perimeter frame of the opening(s).
[0008] As for the paper mesh, it will be obtained from long pine fibers (100%). Once the kraft pulp is produced, a polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin resin is added and gives it ideal properties for the manufacture of rope and so that the final product retains, in conditions of high humidity, its mechanical properties.
[0009] The result is packaging with identical performance, but made from 100% cardboard / paper, which is much more environmentally friendly. Brief description of the drawings
[0010] To complete the description which will be given subsequently, and in order to allow a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with an example chosen for its practical implementation, a series of plans is attached, within the framework of said description, and the following elements are represented therein, for informational and non-exhaustive purposes:
[0011] [Fig. 1] shows a perspective view of a cardboard box for horticultural products with openings for viewing the product contained inside, designed in accordance with the subject matter of the present invention.
[0012] [Fig.2] represents a perspective view of a second embodiment of the box of the invention.
[0013] Finally, [Fig. 3] represents a perspective view of a third version of the multiple embodiments that the box of the invention can have. SELECTED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0014] In view of the figures provided, the box of the invention is constituted, as traditionally, from the development of a cardboard sheet (1) with cutting and folding lines, and once assembled, it forms a packaging whose cover(s) (2-2') constitute a single piece with the packaging itself. The latter can adopt very varied shapes according to different design lines, such as those illustrated in Figures 1 to 3, as well as many others, without affecting the essence of the invention. Indeed, said design has no impact on the structural characteristics on which the content of the claim of the present invention is centered.
[0015] In accordance with the essence of the invention, the packaging is provided with one or more openings (3) in order to view the product contained inside, which can be distributed on the sides, on the lid, or even on both, as shown in the embodiments of Figures 1 and 3, openings which are supported on their internal face by a paper mesh (4), fixed by adhesive to the perimeter frame of said openings.
[0016] These packages can be assembled manually or automatically, without this affecting the essence of the invention. They can also have chamfered corners (8), as in the version of [Fig.2], or pointed corners, without affecting the essence of the invention, and can comprise, as mentioned above, one or two lids (2-2') with coupling means (6) for stable closure.
[0017] The mesh (4) will be obtained from long pine fibers (100%). Once the kraft pulp is produced, a polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin resin is added and gives it ideal properties for the manufacture of rope and for the final product to retain, in conditions of high humidity, its mechanical properties.
[0018] Furthermore, the ability of the paper to absorb water must be controlled and for this purpose we add rosin resin, derived from conifer resin, which reduces the hygroscopicity of the paper.
[0019] In terms of grammage, paper of 30 g / m2 to 35 g / m2 can be used to obtain a rope diameter of approximately 0.5 mm.
[0020] The paper used for the main body sheet of the box preferably has a density of between 40 and 100 g / m2.
[0021] The packaging thus described may include other openings or ventilation orifices (7-7') of smaller dimensions, which do not necessarily have to be provided with said mesh (4). Indeed, their smaller dimensions do not allow the products contained in the box to come out.
[0022] This results in packaging that is 100% recyclable in the blue bin, without the need to dispose of any of it or produce waste during the recycling process.
