Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Device for securing a hose on a motor vehicle Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to a device for fixing a pipe of a motor vehicle and to a motor vehicle comprising such a fixing device. State of the art
[0002] Currently, flexible hoses such as those supplying the windshield washer ejectors are fixed by a metal clip to the hood hinge.
[0003] However, this clip, if not perfectly positioned, can rub against the wing every time the hood is opened and, as a result, eventually remove the paint from the wing and create a point of corrosion.
[0004] There is therefore an advantage to having a device for fixing these pipes which does not damage the bodywork and particularly the wing of the vehicle. Description of the invention
[0005] To solve one or more of the drawbacks mentioned above, it comprises, according to the invention, a device for fixing a first pipe of a motor vehicle which comprises a part for attaching said first pipe and a part for fixing the device to a body part of the motor vehicle, the attachment part comprising a first stirrup with an elastic opening of a dimension smaller than the external diameter of the first pipe, so that the first pipe can be inserted into the first stirrup by deformation of the opening and that once inserted, the first pipe is held radially by the first stirrup, and the fixing part comprising a first and a second elastic branch shaped to fix the device by pinching the body part and the first elastic branch comprising an incoming hook adapted to clip into a recess of the body part.
[0006] Thus, the use of such a device advantageously prevents friction from wearing away the paint by securely holding the device fixed to the body part.
[0007] Specific features or embodiments, usable alone or in combination, are: • the two parts are formed from a single molded piece of plastic; • the first stirrup has an internal rib adapted to maintain longitudinal dinaly the first pipe; and / or • The attachment part includes a second stirrup similar to the first stirrup positioned in line with it to allow the attachment of a second pipe parallel to the first pipe.
[0008] The present invention also relates to a motor vehicle which includes a fastening device which has at least one of the preceding characteristics.
[0009] Furthermore, the motor vehicle may include specific features or embodiments, usable alone or in combination, such as: • It further includes a bodywork part comprising a recess which is positioned in such a way as to allow the incoming hook to clip into said recess; • the clamp base of the fastening device has a U-shape whose width is approximately equal to the thickness of the body part, so that the body part is inserted by friction into the clamp base; • the bodywork part has a thickness between 0.8 and 2.5 mm; and / or • The bodywork part is a hinge for the hood of the motor vehicle. Brief description of the figures
[0010] The invention will be better understood on reading the following description, given solely by way of example, and with reference to the appended figures in which: • [Fig.l] represents an isometric view of a fixing device according to one embodiment; and • [Fig.2] represents a front view of the device of [Fig.l]. Methods of implementation
[0011] The embodiments presented below refer to a motor vehicle, a car. However, those skilled in the art understand that these are also usable with other types of vehicle such as vans, vans, etc.
[0012] The terms “front”, “rear”, “top”, “bottom”, “transverse” are understood in relation to the vehicle.
[0013] With reference to [Fig.1] and [Fig.2], a fastening device 1 for a first pipe 3 of a motor vehicle includes an attachment part 5 of the first pipe 3 and a fastening part 7 of the device to a body part 9 of the motor vehicle, typically a hood hinge.
[0014] The two parts 5, 7 are formed in a single molded plastic part. The device 1 is therefore a single piece of plastic. The plastic used is selected from non-brittle types of plastic, having a certain elasticity controllable by the shape of the part. For example, the plastic can be a polyamide, a fluoropolymer, certain polyurethanes.
[0015] The attachment part 5 includes a first stirrup 11. This stirrup has an elastic opening 13 with a dimension smaller than the outside diameter of the first pipe 3 such that so that the first pipe 3 can be inserted into the first stirrup 11 by deformation of the opening and that once inserted, the first pipe 3 is held radially by the first stirrup 11.
[0016] The first stirrup 7 has an arc-shaped form enabling it to fit the external circumference of the first pipe 3.
[0017] It also includes an internal rib 15 adapted to longitudinally hold the first pipe 3, in particular when the pipe is formed of a flexible material into which the rib can sink or when the surface of the pipe 3 is striated with circumferential grooves.
[0018] The attachment part includes a second bracket 17 similar to the first bracket 7 positioned in the extension thereof to allow the attachment of a second pipe 19 parallel to the first pipe 3.
[0019] The fastening part 5 includes a first arm 21 and a second arm 23 which are elastic and shaped to fix the device 1 by pinching the body part 9.
[0020] The first branch 21 comprises an incoming hook 25 adapted to clip into a recess 27 of the bodywork part. The recess 27 may be a hole, or a shoulder as shown in [Fig.2].
[0021] The clamp base 29 formed by the two branches 21, 23, has a U shape whose width is substantially equal to the thickness of the bodywork part 9 so that the bodywork part is inserted by friction into the clamp base.
[0022] Typically, the internal diameter of the bracket is between 7.5 and 8 mm to fix pipes having approximately the same external diameter.
[0023] The fixing clamp is designed to be able to fix the device on body parts with a thickness between 0.8 and 2.5 mm.
[0024] The assembly of the device is as follows.
[0025] Installation of the pipe(s) in the bracket(s). For this purpose, pressure is applied to the pipe along direction F3 with a force equal to or less than 2 daN until it is inserted into the bracket. It should be noted that the bracket is designed such that the pull-out force along direction F4 is at most 6 daN.
[0026] Then the device 1 is slid along the direction F2 so as to pinch the body part 9 until the edge of the body part touches and is forced into the bottom of the clamp 29 and the hook 25 clips into the shoulder 27. The force to be applied is at most 3 daN while the pull-out force corresponding to the direction Fl is at least 40 daN.
[0027] The invention has been illustrated and described in detail in the drawings and the preceding description. This description should be considered illustrative and given by way of example and not as limiting the invention to this single description. Numerous variations implementation options are possible.
[0028] For example, depending on the assembly arrangement, it may be preferable to first mount the device on the body part, and then attach the pipe(s) to it.
