Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR TRANSPORTING SKIS AND SKI EQUIPMENT THAT CAN BE INSTALLED IN A TRAIN WAGON technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car.

[0002] Today, the passion for ski sports activities, such as skiing but also snowboarding or cross-country skiing, concerns more and more people.

[0003] However, as is known, mountain locations capable of enabling such activities are not easily accessible to everyone.

[0004] In fact, long-distance travel is often necessary and is generally complicated and expensive.

[0005] Today, there is therefore a growing need to make available to enthusiasts means of public transport, such as trains, capable of enabling the movement of a large number of people to these ski destinations, even from fairly distant locations.

[0006] This circumstance means that it is also very important to be able to guarantee these people the possibility of taking with them the necessary equipment, such as ski boots, skis, snowboard and poles.

[0007] To date, means of public transport, such as trains, offer devices for the transport of ski equipment such as, for example, luggage racks designed to allow the transport of luggage or bags containing ski boots.

[0014] Another object of the present invention is to propose a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car, capable of ensuring high modularity and allowing for practical and quick installation of the components inside a train car.

[0015] Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car and that can guarantee rapid replacement of components in the event of damage to them.

[0016] Another object of the present invention is to provide a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car and that can guarantee the safe transport of such ski equipment, so as to preserve both the condition of the equipment itself and that of the people in the vicinity (for example, the crew or passengers who could collide with this equipment if it is not properly secured and restrained).

[0017] According to the present invention, at least one of these objectives, as well as other objectives, is achieved by a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train carriage comprising: - a support frame comprising a vertical part that can be fixed to a side wall of said wagon, and a horizontal part that can be fixed to the floor of said wagon; - the first means of fixing said vertical part to said side wall and the second means of fixing said horizontal part to said ground; - a support and retention shelf for said ski equipment having a plurality of gaps formed on said shelf and configured for the retention of pairs of skis, each of said gaps having at least one slot configured to retain each pair of skis; - means of reinforcing the support of said shelf along a vertical direction; - a support surface placed near said horizontal part and intended to allow vertical support for said pairs of skis; said device being of a modular and demountable type.

[0018] At least one of the aforementioned objectives, as well as other objectives, is achieved by a device for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car and includes at least one of the technical characteristics described below: - said interstices have two lateral edges, the device comprising a plurality of pairs of perimeter portions of elastomer obtained on said edges respective of said interstices, each pair of perimeter portions in elastomer being configured to face a central axis of said interstices; -each of said perimeter portions in elastomer has protrusions developing towards said central axis of said interstices so as to define said slots and to prevent said pairs of skis from moving transversely to a direction of travel of said train; - said edges have a channel for the insertion and retention of said perimeter portions made of elastomer; -said perimeter portions in elastomer include respective blocking sections extending inwards from said edges and configured to bind with them and block any movement of said portions along said direction of travel; - said blocking sections and said edges are shaped so as to establish a dovetail type joint; -said edges include a transverse locking element for said perimeter portions made of elastomer to prevent them from moving transversely to said direction of travel; -the device includes threaded fixing means for removably fixing said locking element to said shelf; - the said perimeter portions in elastomer are made by molding; - the said perimeter portions in elastomer are produced by extrusion; - said shelf includes a first support area for placing said ski equipment, said first support area being interposed between said plurality of gaps and said vertical part of said frame; -said support plane includes a second support area for placing said ski equipment, said second support area being interposed between said pairs of skis and said vertical part of said chassis; - said shelf has an inclination of between 80° and 85° with respect to said vertical part; - said shelf has an inclination of approximately 85° with respect to said vertical part.

Demands

1. A device (1) for transporting skis and ski equipment that can be installed in a train car, comprising: - a support frame (2) including a vertical part (21) that can be fixed to a side wall (PI) of said car, and a horizontal part (22) that can be fixed to the floor (P2) of said car; - first (31) means for fixing said vertical part (21) to said side wall (PI) and second (32) means for fixing said horizontal part (22) to said floor (P2); - a shelf (4) for supporting and retaining said ski equipment having a plurality of gaps (42) formed on said shelf (4) and configured for retaining pairs of skis, each of said gaps (42) having at least one slot (421) configured to retain each pair of skis; - means (5) for reinforcing the retention of said shelf (4) along a vertical direction;- a support plane (6) positioned near said horizontal part (22) and intended to provide vertical support for said pairs of skis; said device being of a modular and demountable type.

2. Device (1) according to claim 1, wherein said gaps (42) have two lateral edges (422), characterized in that it comprises a plurality of pairs of perimeter portions (7) of elastomer obtained on said respective edges (422) of said gaps (42), each pair of perimeter portions (7) of elastomer being configured to face a central axis of said gaps (42).

Device (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each of said perimeter portions (7) in elastomer has protrusions (71) extending towards said central axis of said gaps (42) so as to define said slots (421) and to prevent said pairs of skis from moving transversely to a direction (D) of travel of said train.

4. Device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said edges (422) have a channel (423) for the insertion and retention of said perimeter portions (7) made of elastomer.

5. Device (1) according to claim 3, characterized in that said perimeter portions (7) of elastomer comprise respective blocking sections (72) extending inwards from said edges (422) and configured to bind with them and block any movement of said portions (7) along said direction (D) of travel.

6. Device (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said blocking sections (72) and said edges (422) are shaped to establish a dovetail type joint.

7. Device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said edges (422) comprise a transverse blocking element (424) of said perimeter portions (7) made of elastomer to prevent them from moving transversely to said direction (D) of travel.

8. Device (1) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it comprises threaded fastening means (425) for removably fixing said locking element (424) on said shelf (4).

9. Device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said perimeter portions (7) of elastomer are made by molding.

10. Device (1) according to claim 2, characterized in that said perimeter portions (7) of elastomer are made by extrusion.

11. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said shelf (4) comprises a first support area (41) for placing said ski equipment, said first support area (41) being interposed between said plurality of gaps (42) and said vertical part (21) of said frame (2).

12. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said support plane (6) comprises a second support area (61) for placing said ski equipment, said second support area (61) being interposed between said pairs of skis and said vertical part (21) of said chassis (2).

13. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said shelf (4) has an inclination between 80° and 85° with respect to said vertical part (21).

14. Device (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said shelf (4) has an inclination of about 85° with respect to said vertical part (21).
