Description

Title of the invention: Clamp support system

[0001] The present invention relates in the broadest sense to suspension support, applied for example in the field of supporting fluid transport pipes in buildings and networks. More specifically, the present invention relates to a support assembly for holding a supported element, a kit with a plurality of support assemblies, as well as a method of placing a support assembly on a supporting element such as a construction element, and a method of mounting a supported element on a supporting element using a plurality of such support assemblies or a kit, and / or using the method of placing a support assembly.

[0002] Buildings typically include pipes for transporting fluids, water, gas. The pipes may be located, for example, in crawl spaces, under ceilings, or along walls. Pipe support systems are generally used to wedge and support the pipes. For example, in crawl spaces, the pipes may typically be wedged to the ground using, for example, concrete blocks. Alternatively, support systems may be used to hold the pipes along walls or under the ceiling.

[0003] A support system conventionally comprises a hanging system associated with a clamp. The hanging system may comprise a base to which the clamp is connected. A plurality of hanging systems are then spaced along the length of the pipe, ensuring that the pipe is held securely.

[0004] The pipes can be arranged vertically, horizontally, or inclined according to pipe slopes defined by construction standards. The slope is conventionally obtained by modifying the vertical position of each clamp, thus modifying the vertical position of the pipe. In doing so, it may also be necessary to adjust the position of the clamp, closer or further from the wall, to take into account variations in the wall. To do this, the user is provided with a set of hanging systems or a set of different bases with a set of screws of different sizes, and the user can choose on site the appropriate base and / or hanging system for the required position of the clamp.

[0005] An object of the present invention is to simplify the suspension mounting of a carried element such as a pipeline on a construction element. Summary of the invention

[0006] For this purpose, the invention provides a support assembly for holding a carried element on a carrier element, comprising a clamping collar, provided for holding a carried element, at least one of a fixing support and a base. for carrying the clamp, wherein the clamp has one of a female connection system and a male connection system, the male connection system being complementary to the female connection system. The base has a first section with the female connection system and a second section with the male connection system, allowing mounting of the base to one of a carrier element, another similar base, or a fixing bracket, at the first section of the base, and additional connection on the second section of the base of either another base or the clamp.

[0007] Thus, the present invention provides a modular system, with the complementarity of the connection systems, for the parts of the assembly, i.e. the fixing bracket, the bases, the base of the clamp, allowing modularity and the use of a screw of the same dimension. The user can choose to fix the clamp either directly to the wall mounting bracket or to a base, but he can use the same screw, regardless of the choice of element to fix the clamp, and regardless of the stacking of the number of bases, depending on the offset length.

[0008] According to one aspect, the female connection system and the complementary male connection system are adapted for end-to-end assembly of a base with another base, of a fixing support with another base, and of a base with the clamp, and of the clamp with a fixing support.

[0009] An end-to-end assembly is advantageous for facilitating adjustment of the overall base length, and thus the offset length of the clamp.

[0010] According to one aspect, the female connection system and the complementary male connection system are lockable by translation and / or relative rotation of one with respect to the other, preferably by a rotation of a quarter turn. This allows for simple and easy-to-implement locking, even under difficult conditions.

[0011] According to one aspect, the female connection system and the complementary male connection system comprise complementary fixing pins of fixing recesses, with an anti-unlocking system, in particular a spring blade positioned in the recess. A bayonet type system locks easily. In addition, the presence of a spring blade makes it possible to obtain an anti-unlocking action.

[0012] The base may comprise a base body, which extends between a bearing surface, intended to bear against the carrier element, a fixing support or another base, and a longitudinal end intended to receive another base or the clamping collar. The base body may be hollow, with an opening in the bearing surface, the base body being dimensioned for the passage of an element screw-type fixing, preferably the opening being sized for the passage of the rod, the screw head resting against the edge of the opening.

[0013] According to one aspect, the support assembly comprises a fixing support, comprising a base with a body projecting from a bearing surface, with a section provided with the other of the male connection system or the female connection system, for connection of either a clamp or a base, wherein the base body is hollow with an opening in the bearing surface, the opening being sized to allow the passage of a screw rod, preferably of the same size as the screw rod or the passage of the same screw rod used with a base.

[0014] By providing openings and drilling of the same size for the base and the fixing support, a screw of the same size can be used, regardless of how the collar is mounted to the supporting element. This simplifies both the assembly of the supported elements, such as pipes, electrical networks, but also the management of the parts for the user.

[0015] The mounting bracket comprises a plate with the base and a second mounting surface offset from the base, and wherein the second mounting surface comprises an additional opening sized for the passage of a fastening element such as a nail or concrete anchor screw, preferably the additional opening being sized to allow the passage of a screw rod of the same size as the screw used with a base.

[0016] By providing an additional opening, the attachment to the carrier element can be decoupled from the collar assembly. This gives the user great flexibility during installation.

[0017] The present invention also provides a support kit, comprising a plurality of support assemblies as described and a plurality of fixing elements, wherein the plurality of fixing elements comprises a plurality of nails, screws or dowels of the same size. Advantageously, this makes it possible to manage only a single reference for the fixing element.

[0018] The present invention also provides a method of mounting a support assembly as described to a carrier element, comprising the steps of fixing to the carrier element a first base or a fixing support of the support assembly, comprising using a fixing screw inserted into an opening in the bearing surface of the first base and / or the fixing support, adjusting an offset length of the clamp relative to the carrier element, comprising assembling, if necessary, one or a plurality of bases to adjust the offset length, and assembling the clamp.

[0019] Thus, thanks to the modularity of the support assembly, the offset length can be easily adjusted, by stacking, if necessary, as many bases as necessary to obtain the required offset length.

[0020] In one aspect, the method includes assembling at least one base or the clamp to a base of the mounting bracket, and securing the mounting bracket to the carrier member using a fastening screw inserted into an offset opening of the base of the mounting bracket.

[0021] The present invention also provides a method of mounting a pipeline on a carrier element using a plurality of support assemblies or a kit, and / or using a method as described, comprising fixing a plurality of support assemblies to the carrier element, wherein, for each support assembly, an offset length of the clamp relative to the carrier element is set, wherein, for each support assembly, a screw shank is inserted into the bearing surface of the fixing bracket and / or the first base. A screw of the same size is used for each support assembly.

[0022] In one aspect, the method of mounting a includes securing a first support assembly to the carrier member at a first height, securing a second support assembly to the carrier member at a second height, wherein the difference between the first height and the second height corresponds to a slope of the pipeline, tightening the clamps of the first support assembly and the second support assembly around the pipeline, and tightening a third fastening clamp of a third support assembly around the pipeline and then securing the fastening bracket of a third support assembly to the carrier member, preferably using a fastening screw inserted into an offset opening in the base of the fastening bracket. [0035] In the figures, identical elements are identified by identical reference numerals.

[0036] The invention is described using the example of pipeline support, as a non-limiting example. The present invention can be applied to any suspension support device relative to a load-bearing element, in particular a construction element, such as for example a ceiling, a slab, a wall. Similarly, the present invention is described with reference to a pipeline as a supported element. Of course, other supported elements such as cables are also envisaged.

[0037] Figures 1 and 2 illustrate a support assembly 1 with a clamp 40 for supporting a pipeline 2 (visible in [Fig.l 1]) as an example of a carried element, according to one aspect of the present invention.

[0038] As will emerge from the present description, the support assembly 1 can be fixed to the supporting element such as a wall, a ceiling, a partition, either by a base 30 directly, or by a mounting support 20 on which either a base 30 is mounted, or directly by the clamping collar 40.

[0039] In addition, the support assembly 1 is provided to be able to adjust the distance between the clamping collar and the supporting element, called the offset length. Thus, the base 30 is provided to receive either another base 30', in order to increase the offset length ([Fig.2]), or the clamping collar 40.

[0040] For example, in [Fig.l], the clamp 40 is mounted via the mounting bracket 20, whereas in [Fig.2] the clamp 40 is mounted on two stacked bases 30, 30'.

[0041] [Fig.3] illustrates a base 30 and [Fig.4] illustrates a fixing support 20 usable in the support assembly.

[0042] The base 30 comprises a base body 31, which extends along a longitudinal axis, between a first bearing surface 36 at a first end longitudinal 32, intended to come into contact with the supporting element, a fixing support or another base, and a second longitudinal end 33 intended to receive another base 30 or the clamping collar 40.

[0043] The base body 31 is of elongated cylindrical shape, substantially perpendicular to the first bearing surface 36, which makes it possible to project substantially perpendicular to the wall, the support or the other base on which the base is fixed.

[0044] The base body 31 is hollow, with an opening 54 in the first end surface 36, the base body 31 and the opening 54 being sized for the passage of a fixing element such as a screw or dowel.

[0045] According to the invention, the opening 54 allows the passage of a screw 55, visible in figures 1 and 2.

[0046] A corresponding bore 64 is provided at the bearing surface 36, to allow the passage of the screw rod, the screw head resting against the rim around the bore 64.

[0047] Preferably, the opening 54 is central, for good distribution of forces and balance of the base once fixed and supporting a pipeline.

[0048] Starting from the bearing surface 36, the base body 31 comprises a first section 37, of first diameter, followed by a second section 38 of second diameter different from the first diameter. The second section 38 is of smaller diameter than the first section 37.

[0049] A female connection system 71 at the first section 37 and a male connection system 61 at the second section 38 are provided.

[0050] The female connection system 71 at the first section 37 is provided for connecting the base to another base or to the fixing support. The male connection system 61 on the base is provided for cooperating with a female connection system 71 of the clamp or another base if the total offset length of the clamp needs to be adjusted.

[0051] Thus, the clamping collar 40 is also provided with a female connection system 71 (visible in [Fig.l]), and the fixing support 20, if present, has a male connection system 61. The fixing support will be described with reference to Figures 4 and 5.

[0052] The collar connection system 61 and the female connection system 71 can form an arrangement by different types of assembly, for example clipping or threading.

[0053] The male connection system 61 is slightly set back on the second section 38, in order to ensure pre-guiding by fitting the male connection system into the female connection system 71 of the second section 37.

[0054] As illustrated in the figures, the male connection system 61 and the female connection system 71 may form a bayonet-type arrangement. A rotating bayonet-type assembly is simple and does not require an additional tool. As illustrated in Figures 1 to 4, the male connection system 61 and the female connection system 71 comprise fixing pins 61 complementary to fixing recesses 71.

[0055] It is noted that the connection system provides an anti-unlocking system, to prevent unlocking of the base and the fixing support, of the other base on the base, and / or of the clamp on the base or the support. In the example illustrated, a spring blade 72 positioned in the fixing recess 71 makes it possible both to guide the fixing recesses 71 towards the fixing pins 61 and then to prevent the pins from being removed after insertion and relative rotation.

[0056] Advantageously, visual and / or tactile markings 81 may be provided on the first section, such as alignment lugs in order to help position the horizontality or verticality, for example by aligning the marks on a line drawn on the carrier element, visually the direction of rotation intended for locking the base.

[0057] Gripping means 70 are provided on the first section, to allow the user to rotate the base once the base is inserted into the base

[0058] The clamping collar 40 and the base 30, or two or more bases 30, 30' together, or a base 30 on the fixing support 20, can thus be assembled together by rotation of the quarter-turn type.

[0059] As illustrated in [Fig.4], the fixing support 20 comprises a base 22 with a body projecting from a bearing surface 26, a first section of first diameter 27 followed by a second section 28 provided with a male connection system 61, for connection of either a clamping collar or another base.

[0060] The base body is substantially cylindrical, hollow with an opening 54 allowing the passage of a nail or dowel type fixing element, and a corresponding bore 64 is provided in the first section 27. The opening is sized to allow the passage of a screw rod of the same size as the screw used with a base. The bore 64 is sized for the passage of the rod, the screw head bearing against the edge of the opening.

[0061] In other words, the user can choose to fix the clamp either directly on the fixing support or on a base, but he can use the same screw, whatever the choice of the element to fix the clamp, and whatever the stacking of the number of bases, according to the offset length. This modular system allows the universality of the screw length whatever the stacking of the assembly

[0062] The base 22 of the fixing support is provided with ribs 29, in order to stiffen the base and increase the resistance of the fixing support, in particular to withstand the forces induced under load, by the fixing screw.

[0063] The mounting bracket illustrated in [Fig.4] is designed with a base for fixing the base, which is also the base for fixing the bracket to the wall. As seen in [Fig.5], an offset mounting bracket 120 is also provided.

[0064] The fixing support 120 comprises a base 122 with a second section 138 provided with a male connection system 61, for connection of either a clamp or another base.

[0065] The fixing bracket 120 comprises, in the same manner as the fixing bracket 20, a base 122 with a cylindrical body projecting from a bearing surface, and a fixing opening.

[0066] However, the mounting bracket 120 comprises a plate with the base 122 on one side and a second mounting surface 124 offset from the base body. The second mounting surface 124 comprises a second opening 154 sized for the passage of a nail or dowel type fastening element.

[0067] The opening in the fixing body and the second opening are sized to allow the passage of the same screw. In other words, the user can choose to fix the fixing bracket to the wall, with a screw, by choosing either the opening in the fixing body or the second opening.

[0068] It is understood that the presence of two openings 54, 154 makes it possible to decouple the fixing to the wall from the fixing of the base and the collar. This gives great flexibility to the user when installing a carried pipeline.

[0069] [Fig. 6] shows a plurality of bases 30, which differ in their base length. Each base is provided with a female connection system 71 on its first section, and a male connection system 61 on the second section.

[0070] It is noted that the length of the first section 37 and the length of the second section 38 does not vary for each base, because these sections are provided with male and female connection systems. This is in fact to guarantee the stability of the fitting of the bases on each other or of the base and the collar. The offset length is therefore varied by extending the first section 37 by an intermediate section 39, of variable length and given diameter, which may be less than that of the first section 37 but always greater than the diameter of the second section 38 carrying the male connection system 61.

[0071] It is noted that the attachment to the carrier element is done via the attachment support 20 or via the first base 30. In other words, the screw is the same, more precisely of the same length, regardless of the number of stacked bases. This avoids the management of several screws of various lengths depending on the desired depth between the supporting element and the clamp.

[0072] Figures 7 to 9 illustrate clamps according to different embodiments.

[0073] [Fig. 7] is a lyre-type clamp 40 for supporting the pipeline, such as that illustrated in the assemblies of Figures 1 and 2.

[0074] The clamping collar can also be of the rigid collar type.

[0075] The collar comprises a collar base 41 on which are mounted one or more complementary arms 43, 43', intended to at least partially encircle the pipeline.

[0076] The arms 43, 43' can move apart when the tube is mounted. A closure 48 allows the two arms 43, 43' to be assembled together. At least one of the arms can be articulated, to easily open and close the collar. This example is not limiting; it is possible to have two open, non-articulated arms, which remain open around the pipe or which close completely around the pipe. The two arms can be independent.

[0077] The closure 48 makes it possible to close the collar and block the deformation of the arms 43.

[0078] According to the present invention, the collar base 41 is provided to be assembled either on a base, or on a fixing support, or directly on the carrier element. In other words, the collar base comprises a female connection system 71 provided for assembly on the male connection system 61 of the base or of the fixing support.

[0079] In other words, the collar base comprises the same fixing system, for fixing to the fixing support or to the second end of a base. The collar base also comprises a screw or dowel passage 54, with a bore 64 sized for the passage of the screw rod, of the same dimension.

[0080] Figures 8 and 9 illustrate a clamp 240, with a base 241 which can also be stacked either on a fixing support 20 (as in Figures 8 and 9), or on a base. The base 241 carries a clamp 243, which can be a single clamp ([Fig.8]) or a double clamp ([Fig.9]), allowing two pipes to be fixed.

[0081] The collar 243 comprises two half-collars 243, 244, which can be assembled to form a single collar. An adjustable slide-type fastening system 248 is provided, to be able to tighten the collar more or less around the pipe and adapt to the perimeter of the pipe to be carried.

[0082] The collar base also includes a screw or dowel passage 54, with a drilling sized for the passage of the screw rod, of the same dimension (not visible in figures 7 and 8).

[0083] [Fig. 10] shows a method of mounting a support system.

[0084] In the first step S1, the fixing bracket is fixed to the supporting element, using the screw in the central opening. Once fixed, the distance at which the clamp is to be positioned is adjusted, by adjusting the base length (step S2). To do this, the total base length is adjusted by assembling end to end as many bases as necessary.

[0085] Then, all that remains is to mount the collar on the last base (step S3).

[0086] Thanks to this modular locking system allowing the length of offset and the choice of the fixing support, the user can in fact either first fix the support via the second opening or the opening of the body, adjust the total base length by assembling end to end as many bases as necessary, then mount the collar at the end. Whatever the chosen mounting method, the user does not need to manage a set of fixing screws of different lengths. There is only one fixing screw per clamping collar to mount, of the same length, independently of the offset length on the one hand, and independently of the element chosen for fixing to the supporting element, i.e. a 30 base, a centered fixing support or an offset fixing support.

[0087] Each assembly is made by a simple rotation, preferably a quarter turn.

[0088] A wide range of offset can be obtained, while having a single screw model, of the same length. Adjustment is easy, by quarter-turn rotation.

[0089] In this method, the user can fix all the clamps, and then hang the pipeline.

[0090] [Fig. 11] shows another assembly method, in which the user first fixes the two end clamps of a pipeline to adjust the chosen slope, and then adds the intermediate clamps. In this case, while the end clamps are mounted before the pipeline, the intermediate clamps are mounted on the pipeline already carried.

[0091] The intermediate clamps are mounted as follows: first, the clamping arms are passed around the pipe and tightened around the pipe. Then, as many bases as necessary are assembled on the clamp, then the fixing support and the last free base already assembled are assembled on the clamp. The assembly is rotated to position the support surface of the base, and more generally the lower surface of the fixing support against the supporting element. It is understood that, since the pipe is already mounted on the clamp, it is not possible to pass the fixing screw through the opening of the fixing body. In this case, it is simply sufficient to use the second fixing opening, offset from the base.

[0092] The shape of the fixing support 120 makes it possible to obtain good stability with good distribution of the forces induced when the support assembly holds the pipe 2.

[0093] It is therefore possible to choose either to fix the clamps first and hang the pipe, or to hang the pipe via two clamps and add clamps later, depending on the working conditions when installing the pipe.

[0094] In addition, the stacking of bases allows the offset between the wall and the clamp to be adjusted, for each support assembly. This can be adjusted by choosing the number of bases and the dimension of each base.

[0095] Regardless of the option chosen and the offset length, only one screw, of a single size, is required, which is used to fix either a mounting bracket or a first base to the supporting element. If necessary, the other bases are stacked on the bracket and the first base. This system makes it possible to have only one screw for an entire set of bases, i.e. one screw regardless of the desired offset length.

[0096] Furthermore, the system is very flexible while allowing simplified management of the parts, since there is no need to provide different screw models of different lengths depending on the offset length, unlike the systems of the prior art in which, for each offset length, a specific base and its specific screw are provided.

[0097] The rotational locking allows the number of parts in the support assembly to be limited, while providing a very intuitive means of attachment.

[0098] Although the detailed description relates to rotational locking, this is only a non-limiting example of locking, and the locking may be by translation, a combination of rotation and translation, or any type of locking.

[0099] Furthermore, in the examples shown, the collar carries a male connection system, to cooperate with a complementary female connection system. Of course, the collar can carry a female connection system, to cooperate with a complementary male connection system. What matters is the complementarity of the connection systems, for the parts of the assembly, that is to say the fixing support, the bases, the base of the collar, allowing modularity and the use of a screw of the same dimension.

[0100] Finally, the examples are given with reference to a pipeline as the carried element, but this is only an example.

[0101] In summary, it remains to be noted that the invention provides a base, a support assembly and a method for installing the support assembly for a carried element. Advantageously, the number of parts is limited and allows installation intuitive, with a limited number of maneuvers, thus facilitating the assembly of carried elements such as pipes.
