The invention relates to a platform-type handling machine (1) configured to, when a measured electric field value exceeds a threshold value, execute a safety procedure comprising inhibiting the ground movement control and the actuation system with the upper control station (11A), emitting a warning signal related to the proximity of a detected power line, while allowing control with the lower control station (13C).
