Abstract

The invention relates to a device for reinforcing the floor (P) of motor vehicles, said floor having a zone (P1) for supporting a passenger seat (S) equipped with a strut (F) intended to bear on said zone and a front zone (P2) receiving the rear end (1b) of a stiffening profile (1) which extends forwards on an apron (T), characterized in that the rear end (1b) of said stiffening profile (1) is extended by an extension (1a) at least partially covering the zone (P1) for supporting the strut (F). 1. Device for reinforcing the floor (P) of motor vehicles, said floor having a zone (PI) for supporting a passenger seat (S) equipped with a strut (F) intended to bear on said zone and a front zone (P2) receiving the rear end (1b) of a stiffening profile (1) which extends forward on an apron (T), characterized in that the rear end (1b) of said stiffening profile (1) is extended by an extension (la) at least partially covering the zone (PI) for supporting the strut (F).

2. Device according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the extension (la) of the stiffening profile (1) covers said support zone (PI) of the strut (F) to the right of the front passenger seat (S).

3. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the extension (la) of the stiffening profile (1) is fixed to the floor (P) by means of welding points (2).

4. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the extension (la) of the stiffening profile (1) has a central body (10) of inverted U-shaped section extended by lateral fins (11) in bearing contact against the floor (P).

5. Device according to claims 3 and 4, characterized in that the welding points (2) are made on said fins (11).

Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said stiffening profile (1) comprises a transverse front part fixed to the apron (T) and a longitudinal rear part whose length corresponds to the distance between the apron and the support zone (PI) of the passenger seat (S).

7. Motor vehicle provided with a front passenger seat (S) and an Isofix system with a strut (F) for the installation of a child seat (E) and a floor reinforcement device (P) according to one of the preceding claims.
