[0002] Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are free radicals that can react with various cellular proteins in the skin, for example, collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans. ROS cause cross-linking of collagen and elastin, leading to the appearance of wrinkles and a decrease in the skin's ability to self-repair. Thus, skin damage caused by ROS may contribute to aging physiology or lead to skin disorders. Antioxidants can capture and reduce the excessive production of ROS and mitigate the damage they cause to cells in different tissues, including the skin.

1. A skin care composition comprising: hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof; a silicone-based surfactant; one or more peptides; an extract; and a fatty component.

2. The skin care composition of claim 1, wherein the hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof comprises hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid.

3. A skin care composition according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the silicone surfactant is selected from anionic silicone surfactants.

4. A skin care composition according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the silicone-based surfactant comprises methylsilanol mannuronate, hydroxyethylacetomonium PG-dimethicone, polyglyceryl lauryl polydimethylsiloxyethyl dimethicone, or a combination of two or more thereof.

5. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the peptide(s) comprise dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, acetyl tetrapeptide-11, acetyl tetrapeptide-9, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, or a combination of two or more thereof.

6. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the one or more peptides comprise two or more peptides selected from the group consisting of dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, acetyl tetrapeptide-11, acetyl tetrapeptide-9, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7.

7. A skin care composition according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the peptide(s) comprise dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate, acetyl tetrapeptide-11, acetyl tetrapeptide-9, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7.

8. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the extract comprises Haberlea rhodopensis leaf extract.

9. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the fatty component comprises a fatty ester, a fatty alcohol, a fatty ether, an oil, a wax, or a combination of two or more thereof.

10. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim, wherein the fatty component is present in an amount of between 7 and 40% by weight, plus or minus 10%, based on the total weight of the skin care composition.

A skin care composition according to claim 9 or claim 10, wherein the fatty component comprises a fatty ester comprising stearyl stearate, dihydroabietyl behenate, octyldodecyl behenate, isocetyl behenate, isostearyl lactate, lauryl lactate, linoleyl lactate, oleyl lactate, isostearyl octanoate, isocetyl octanoate, octyl octanoate, decyl oleate, isocetyl isostearate, isocetyl laurate, isocetyl stearate, isodecyl octanoate, isodecyl oleate, isononyl isononanoate, isostearyl palmitate, acetyl methyl ricinoleate, octyl isononanoate, 2-ethylhexyl isononanoate, octyldodecyl erucate, oleyl erucate, ethyl palmitate, isopropyl palmitate, such as 2-ethylhexyl palmitate, 2-octyldecyl, alkyl myristates such as 2-octyldodecyl isopropyl myristate, isobutyl stearate,2-hexyldecyl laurate, isocetyl stearate, octyldodecyl stearate, or a combination thereof,

16. A skin care composition according to any preceding claim further comprising one or more polyols, optionally in an amount of 4 to 32% by weight, plus or minus 10%, based on the total weight of the skin care composition.

17. The skin care composition of claim 16, wherein the one or more polyols comprise a plurality of polyols, the plurality of polyols comprising glycerin and one or more glycols.

18. The skin care composition of claim 17, wherein the glycol(s) comprises ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, caprylyl glycol, hexylene glycol, diethylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, or a combination of two or more thereof.
