Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for inspecting an individual using a radiant energy detector (1) comprising the following steps: S1: placing the individual within a passage delimited between lateral panels (2) of the detector (1) such that a lateral face of the shoe is substantially parallel to the lateral panels (2); S2: acquiring an electronic image of the individual, the electronic image including the shoe; S3: identifying, in the electronic image, the position of an underside (10) of the individual's foot; S4: estimating, from the position of the underside (10) of the foot in step S3, a volume of interest of the sole (10); and S5: generating an alert when the volume of interest of the sole (10) is greater than or equal to the threshold volume.
