Abstract

The invention provides a drive system (1) for an actuator, comprising an electric motor (2) for delivering torque to actuate the actuator, a first control electronics (3) and a second control electronics (5) that are redundant with respect to each other, and a damping unit (8) designed to detect the state of a first isolation device (6) and the state of a second isolation device (7) and to dampen the electric motor (2) when both isolation devices (6, 7) are in their active state. Claims

permanent magnet synchronous or brushless DC motor.

10. A drive system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the damping unit (8) is designed to short-circuit the phases of the motor (2) in order to generate resistance to a rotational movement of the motor (2).

11. A drive system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the damping unit (8) is designed to switch the phases of the motor (2) on an electrical or electronic load in order to generate resistance to a rotational movement of the motor (2).

12. Drive system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the damping unit (8) is integrated into the electric motor (2).

13. Electromechanical actuator comprising a drive system (1) according to any one of the preceding claims.

14. Electromechanical actuator, wherein the actuator is designed for use in a primary flight control of an aircraft.

15. Aircraft comprising an electromechanical actuator according to one of the preceding claims 13 or 14.
