Title of the invention: Iron with compact base technical field

[0001] The present exposition relates to the general technical field of laundry care appliances, and more specifically to irons with separate base. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] Among laundry care appliances, irons make it possible to remove creases from clothes and fabrics through a combination of heat and pressure.

Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 6, further comprising magnetic means (25) participating in maintaining the iron (10) in position on the base (20) when the iron support portion (10) is received on the base portion (20), the magnetic means (25) comprising for example a magnet housed in one of the gripping handles (11) or in the base (20).

Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the base portion of the base (20) comprises a head recess (21) designed to receive the head (12) of the iron (10), and a handle recess (22) designed to receive the handle (11) of the iron (10), the handle recess having, for example, a U-shaped cross-section.

Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the gripping handle (11) extends mainly along a longitudinal handle direction (Dp) and the heating sole (13) extends mainly along an ironing direction (Dr) forming an angle (a) between 30° and 40°, and advantageously of the order of 35° with the longitudinal handle direction (Dp).

10. Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 9, wherein the head (12) of the iron (10) includes a support foot (120) and the handle (11) includes a beveled free end (110), so as to allow the iron (10) to be placed resting on the beveled free end (110) of the handle (11) and the support foot (120) of the head (12).

11. Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 10, further comprising a side tab (40) attached and fixed to one side of the base (20) so as to allow storage of a power cord from the base (20) or a cord (30) connecting the iron (10) to the base (20) in a space located between the side tab (40) and a side wall of the base (20).

12. Household appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 11, wherein the base (20) has a length less than or equal to the length of the iron (10).
