[0002] Photoprotection of keratinous materials is considered of great importance in order to ensure protection against damage caused by the sun, sunburn, photoaging, as well as to reduce the risks of developing skin cancer caused by exposure to ultraviolet (“UV”) radiation.

Demands

1. Cosmetic sunscreen composition with enhanced SPF, comprising: (a) at least one organic UV filter, selected from butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, ethylhexyl triazone, and mixtures thereof; (b) at least one polymer; (c) at least one surfactant; and (d) hydroxyapatite.

2. Composition, according to claim 1, wherein at least one organic UV filter is present in a concentration from 2.0% to 30.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

3. Composition according to claim 1, wherein at least one polymer is selected from C10-30 acrylate / alkyl acrylate crosslinked polymer, xanthan gum, and mixtures thereof.

4. Composition, according to claim 1, wherein at least one polymer is present in a concentration from 0.01% to 5.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

5. Composition according to claim 1, wherein at least one surfactant is selected from stearic acid, glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate, potassium cetylphosphate, and mixtures thereof.

6. Composition, according to claim 1, wherein at least one surfactant is present in a concentration from 0.5% to 12.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

7. Composition, according to claim 1, wherein hydroxyapatite is present in a concentration from 0.5% to 15.0% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition.

8. Composition according to claim 1, wherein the composition is free from silicones or octocrylene, homosalate, ethylhexyl salicylate or aqueous phase UV filters.

9. Composition, according to claim 1, wherein the composition is an O / W emulsion.

10. Cosmetic sunscreen composition with enhanced SPF, comprising: (a) 2.0% to 18.0% by weight of at least one organic UV filter, selected from butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, the bisethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine, ethylhexyl triazone, and mixtures thereof; (b) 0.01% to 2.0% by weight of at least one polymer, selected from C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosslinked polymer, xanthan gum, and mixtures thereof; (c) 1.0% to 7.5% by weight of at least one surfactant, selected from stearic acid, glyceryl stearate and PEG-100 stearate, potassium cetyl phosphate, and mixtures thereof; and (d) 1.0% to 12.0% by weight of hydroxyapatite; in which all weights are based on the total weight of the composition.
