Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Anti-tipping device for 2-wheeled garbage bins using magnetic anchoring
[0001] The present invention consists of transforming individual two-wheeled waste bins by integrating an anti-tipping device using magnetic anchoring. During storage [Fig. 1], this device will prevent any accidental tipping [wind, storm, stray animals, etc.] and consequently the dispersal of waste into the environment.
[0002] The day before collection day, each household equipped with an individual two-wheeled bin places it on the public right-of-way so that the collection agents can pick it up. This immobilization of the bin makes it very vulnerable to weather conditions and stray animals.
[0003] The purpose of the magnetic bin anchoring device is to neutralize any accidental tipping of the collection bin before the collection period.
[0004] This device consists of a magnetic plate housed in a plastic casing designed to fit the underside of the bin [Fig. 2]. This plate is bolted to the underside of the bin. A metal plate, also housed in a plastic casing, is equipped with a stop to facilitate guiding the bin into its housing [Fig. 5]. The entire assembly is fixed to the floor with anchors suitable for the substrate. This device ensures that the collection bins remain in a vertical position.
[0005] Once collection is complete, the bin is returned to its private location, leaving only the metal base plate on the public domain. This base plate is very discreet and can be customized as needed, posing no risk to people with reduced mobility or any other users of public roads.
[0006] This magnetic anchoring device for garbage bins is, according to the invention, intended for the comfort of city users, garbage collectors, city cleanliness and hygiene service agents, but also, it represents an additional shield in the preservation of the environment by eliminating the risk of scattering in the event of the bin being overturned.

[0032] Fig. 2 shows in cross-section the detail of the fixing of the magnetic device on the underside of any type of waste bin according to one embodiment;
[0033] Fig. 3 shows in cross-section the detail of the fixing on the underside of the flat-bottomed garbage bin and rounded or deformed bottom;
[0034] Fig. 4 shows in cross-section the detail of the fixing of the magnetic plate and its adaptation to any type of container;
[0035] Fig. 5 shows in cross-section the detail of fixing the metal plate to the ground according to one embodiment;
[0036] Fig. 6 shows a top view of the method of fixing the metal plate to the ground;
[0037] Fig. 7 shows in detail the complete assembly of the device; Description of the implementation methods
[0038] Anti-tipping device for bin by magnetic anchoring includes a magnetic plate 4 housed in an articulated casing 14 assembled to a ball joint 13 allowing adaptation to each bin base 19 20 even if it is deformed. The assembly is screwed onto a bin 5. A metal plate 2 housed in a housing envelope 15 screwed with materials suitable for the floor 1.
[0039] The magnetic plate 3 is housed in an articulated housing 14 and then combined with a ball joint 13 which, by its rounded shape and its ovoid bore 17, allows orientation in three directions and thus adaptation to any type of flat-bottomed 19 and deformed 20 garbage bin. The assembly is fixed to the garbage bin 5 by a countersunk head threaded screw 10 placed on the magnetic plate 3 side, a nut 9, a metal washer 8 and a sealing washer 11 on the inner bin bottom 12 side.
[0040] The metal plate 2 is housed in a floor plate envelope 15 with a hole in its center 12, the assembly is fixed to the floor 1 by a countersunk head screw 7 and a dowel 6 adapted to the floor covering materials 1.
[0041] The metal plate 2 housed in its ground plate casing 15 has a thickness of five millimeters, a rounded bead 16 of a height of five millimeters is superimposed to give a maximum height of ten millimeters which does not represent any danger on the public domain in particular for persons with reduced mobility and pedestrians.
[0042] The bead 16 present on the floor plate 15 allows the user to be guided towards the anchoring complex when the bin 5 is being installed; it acts as a stop.
[0043] The magnetic anchoring device has the particularity, by the design of the assembly parts, of adapting to all types of new and old garbage bins; it does not require the replacement of the bin.
[0044] Thus, in the manner illustrated in [Fig. 1], the waste bin 5 can be magnetically anchored to the magnetic plate 3 by means of the metal plate 2.
[0045] The metal plate 2, the magnetic plate 3 and all the fixing elements are corrosion resistant.
[0046] The magnetic anchoring device is disconnected by a pulling force 18.
Claims
Demands
1. Adaptable floor fixing device for two-wheeled bin, device comprising a magnetic device consisting of: - two magnetic plates mounted on the bin; and two metal plates fixed to the floor such that, during use, the overlapping of the two parts causes a magnetic attraction anchoring the bin [figure 1]
2. Device according to claim 1, wherein the two magnetic plates mounted on the bin are fixed to the lower surface of the bin [figure 3] and [figure 4]
3. Device according to claim 1, wherein the metal plates are fixed to the ground within their base plate housing on a flat surface. This fixing is achieved by means of anchors adapted to the substrate material [figure 5] and [figure 6]
4. The device according to claim 1 adapts to any type of waste bin thanks to the mounting of the magnetic plates in a housing mounted on a ball joint, allowing orientation in three directions. The combination of the housing housing for the magnetic plate and the ball joint allows adaptation to any type of bin base, even if it is deformed or old [Figure 3] and [Figure 4].
