Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: SECURE MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR AN ELECTROMAGNETIC LOCK
[0001] CONTEXT OF THE INVENTION
[0002] (a) Technical field of the invention
[0003] The present invention relates generally to an electromagnetic lock, and more particularly to a secure mounting structure for an electromagnetic lock.
[0004] (b) Description of the prior art
[0005] An electromagnetic lock is a commonly used electronic lock. The electromagnetic lock operates on the electromagnetic principle and is capable of controlling the activation and deactivation of the lock body by means of an electric current without a mechanical key.
[0006] Taiwanese utility model No. M358859 describes an electromagnetic lock structure comprising a mounting plate. One end of the mounting plate is extended to form at least one protruding portion. One side of the mounting plate is formed with at least one recess and one raised wall. The electromagnetic lock comprises a main body, and the main body of the electromagnetic lock is formed with at least one through hole. The through hole penetrates and is located in the protruding portion of the mounting plate. The main body of the electromagnetic lock is fixed to the mounting plate, and the mounting plate is fixed to one side of a door frame.
[0007] However, as shown in [Fig. 1] of M358859, the electromagnetic lock, after being energized, generates a magnetic force that attracts and holds a metal plate on a door panel in such a way that the through hole in the main body of the electromagnetic lock is located on the lower side of the main body of the electromagnetic lock and is therefore not protected by the metal plate. Unscrupulous individuals can insert a tool (such as a screwdriver) into the through hole to easily remove the fastener, so that it is not securely fastened.
[0008] Furthermore, in order to prevent the fastener from falling out of the through hole, an additional through-hole is generally opened on one side of the through hole, and another screw is locked into the through-hole to make contact with the side of the fastener (which is also a screw). Thus, there is often the problem that the screws and fasteners are not properly engaged, which easily leads to loosening and detachment of the fasteners. Summary of the invention
[0009] To achieve the above objective, the present invention relates to a secure mounting structure for an electromagnetic lock, which comprises: an electromagnetic lock, the electromagnetic lock having two end parts, each of which is formed with a through hole, a fastening element being disposed in the through hole, the two end parts of the electromagnetic lock each being formed with a penetration opening in communication with the through hole;a plurality of secure mounting devices, the secure mounting devices of the plurality of secure mounting devices each having a first end and a second end, the first end being formed with a protruding part, the second end being formed with a drilled part, a fixing hole being formed in one side of each of the secure mounting devices, the secure mounting devices of the plurality of secure mounting devices being respectively disposed in the through holes with the protruding parts in contact and bearing against the fixing elements respectively; and a plurality of fixing elements, the fixing elements of the plurality of fixing elements penetrating respectively through the penetration openings in the two end parts of the electromagnetic lock and being screwed into the fixing holes of the secure mounting devices.
[0010] In the above, the fastening element may include a screw.
[0011] In the above, the fixing hole may include a threaded hole and the element The fixing kit includes a screw.
[0012] Since the protruding parts of the secure mounting devices are in contact with and butted against the fastener, it is possible to avoid unexpected situations where the fastener detaches and causes the electromagnetic lock to fall, breaking or injuring people. Furthermore, because the secure mounting devices protect and lock the fasteners, it is difficult for unscrupulous individuals using tools to remove them, thus improving the anti-theft effect. [0019] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0020] With reference to Figures 1 and 2, it appears that the present invention provides a secure mounting structure for an electromagnetic lock, which comprises:
[0021] an electromagnetic lock 1, the electromagnetic lock 1 being formed, in each of its two end parts, with a through hole 11, a fastening member 12 being disposed in the through hole 11, the two end parts of the electromagnetic lock 1 each being formed with a penetration opening 13 in communication with the through hole 11; the electromagnetic lock 1, which is also called a magnetic lock, uses the principle of electricity inducing magnetism, such that, when energized, it generates a strong attractive force so as to attract and securely hold a metal plate 30 (shown in [Fig. 6]) thus achieving a locking effect on the door; and the fastening member 12 may be a screw, the head of the screw being formed with a recess, which may be a linear slot, a transverse slot, or a hexagonal cavity;
[0022] a plurality of secure mounting devices 2, the secure mounting devices of the plurality of secure mounting devices 2 each comprising a first end 21 and a second end 22, the first end 21 being formed with a protruding part 23, the second end 22 being formed with a drilled part 24, a fixing hole 25 being formed in one side of each of the secure mounting devices 2, the secure mounting devices of the plurality of secure mounting devices 2 being respectively disposed in the through holes 11 with the protruding parts 23 in contact and abutting against the fixing elements 12 respectively,The protruding parts 23 of the secure mounting devices 2 correspond respectively to the recesses of the fasteners 12 (which are, for example, the screws mentioned above) so that the secure mounting devices 2 come into a tight stop against the fasteners 12 to prevent them from easily detaching; and the drilled parts 24 are designed to receive the insertion of a tool (such as a magnetic screwdriver) to remove the secure mounting devices 2 from the through holes 11; and,
[0023] a plurality of fastening elements 3, the fastening elements of the plurality of fastening elements 3 penetrating respectively through the penetration openings 13 formed in the two end parts of the electromagnetic lock 1 to screw or extend into the fastening holes 25 of the secure mounting devices 2, respectively, the fastening holes 25 each being a tapped hole, and the fastening elements 3 each being a screw.
[0024] With reference to [Fig.3], it appears that, in order to use the present invention, a tool is first applied (such as the insertion of a screwdriver into the head of the screw) to screw the fasteners 12 into the through holes 11. With reference to [Fig.[4], it appears that subsequently, a tool (such as a magnetic screwdriver) is inserted into the drilled parts 24 of the secure mounting devices 2 to position the secure mounting devices 2 in the through holes 11 so that the protruding parts 23 of the secure mounting devices 2 correspond to the recesses of the fasteners 12 (which are here screws) in order to adjust the secure mounting devices 2 so that they come tightly against the fasteners 12, so that once the tight stop is obtained, the tool, held in the hand, is operated to rotate the secure mounting devices 2 so that the fastener holes 25 on one side of the secure mounting devices 2 are aligned with the penetration openings 13. Referring to [Fig.[5] it appears that finally, a tool (such as a screwdriver) is used to drive the fastening elements 3 through the penetration openings 13 into the two end parts of the electromagnetic lock 1 so as to screw them into the fastening holes 25 of the secure mounting devices 2 in order to fix the secure mounting devices 2.
[0025] Referring to Figures 2 and 6, it appears that when the door is closed, the electromagnetic lock 1 on the door frame 20, when energized, generates a magnetic force which attracts and fixes the metal plate 30 of the door panel 10, and the fixing holes 25 of the electromagnetic lock 1 are protected and covered by the metal plate 30, so that only the through holes 11 are exposed. If the secure mounting devices 2 are not installed, unscrupulous persons can insert a tool (such as a screwdriver) into the through holes 11 to easily remove the fasteners 12; however, if the secure mounting devices 2 are put in place and installed as described above, the secure mounting devices 2 are able to protect and lock the fasteners 12, and, because the secure mounting devices 2 are fixed in position by the fasteners 3 and the fastener holes 25 are protected and covered by the metal plate 30, unscrupulous persons cannot remove the fasteners 12 simply by using the tool, and, as such, a theft protection effect is improved.
[0026] Because the protruding parts 23 of the secure mounting devices 2 butt against the fastening elements 12, it is possible to avoid unexpected situations where the fastening element 12 detaches and causes the electromagnetic lock 1 to fall, breaking or injuring people. Furthermore, since the secure mounting devices 2 protect and lock the fastening elements 12, unscrupulous individuals using tools cannot easily remove these elements, thus improving the anti-theft protection.
