Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Seat integrated into a loading stop partition.
[0001] The technical field relates to the loading stop partitions of a commercial vehicle separating a loading compartment from a driver's compartment of the vehicle, the assemblies comprising such a partition and at least one retractable seat attached to the partition and finally the commercial vehicles presenting such an assembly.
[0002] Car manufacturers offer vehicles adapted to all uses. With the rise of e-commerce, the market for vans specializing in parcel delivery is constantly growing. It is therefore important, in order to meet the demands of this growing market, to offer vans optimized to facilitate the work of delivery drivers.
[0003] Such a van is generally equipped with a partition separating the driver's compartment from a cargo compartment, where the cargo, including packages, is stored. This partition is generally sized to protect the driver and passengers in the driver's compartment from the risk of cargo being thrown forward in the event of a collision.
[0004] Some delivery vans, the most optimized currently available, are designed to allow for a delivery route with either a van driver accompanied by a delivery person or a driver alone, who also makes the deliveries. The delivery person then sits on a seat located behind the dashboard. Removing the seat allows the driver to get in and out of the vehicle from the sidewalk, passing in front of the delivery person's seat. However, in this type of vehicle, the seat, fixed to the floor of the passenger compartment, creates a significant obstruction for the driver's access, which could still cause the driver to trip when getting in or out of the driver's compartment.
[0005] The present invention aims to overcome the problems described above. In this technical context, one objective of the present invention is to provide a loading stop partition allowing the installation of a retractable seat with a small or even non-existent footprint in the driver's compartment.
[0006] To this end, the present invention relates to a loading stop partition for a utility vehicle extending between a first face, designed to delimit a loading compartment of the utility vehicle, and a second face, designed to delimit a driver's compartment of the utility vehicle, the partition forming at least one storage compartment, each designed to accommodate at least partially a fold-down seat, each compartment having an opening provided in one the first and second sides to allow the insertion and removal of the retractable seat attached to the partition, at least part of a storage compartment protruding from the other side.
[0007] The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a partition according to the invention and at least one retractable seat, movably mounted on the partition between a deployed position, in which the retractable seat allows a passenger of the vehicle to sit on the retractable seat, and a retracted position, in which the retractable seat is at least partially stored in a storage compartment.
[0008] The invention finally relates to a utility vehicle comprising a cargo compartment and a driver's compartment separated by an assembly according to the invention.
[0009] Thus, the loading stop partition allows for the formation of an assembly equipped with a retractable seat whose footprint is minimized. Indeed, in its retracted position, the retractable seat, at least partially stored in its housing, results in no or minimal obstruction. In all cases, the assembly according to the invention prevents the retractable seat from encroaching on the vehicle floor. Furthermore, experience and simulations show that the housing protruding from the other side increases the rigidity of the partition and the vehicle equipped with the partition, compared to a conventional partition, in the event of an impact. Thus, thanks to the assembly according to the invention, the driver can get in and out of the commercial vehicle according to the invention without being hindered. When a delivery person is on board, the latter can sit on the seat in the deployed position.The partition according to the invention finally makes it possible to stiffen the vehicle's structure without the addition of any specific element or material.
[0010] According to one embodiment of the loading stop partition, each opening is provided in the second face.
[0011] Advantageously, the first face forms at least one box shaped to allow the storage of cargo on the box.
[0012] According to one possibility of the assembly, a housing is shaped to allow the translation of the retractable seat in the housing when moving between the deployed position and the retracted position.
[0013] Advantageously, a retractable seat is fixed on slides that can be housed in the housing to allow the retractable seat to be translated in and out of the housing.
[0014] According to one possibility of the assembly, a housing is shaped to allow rotation around the retractable seat of an axis fixed to the partition between the deployed and retracted positions.
[0015] According to one possibility of the assembly, the retractable seat is formed of a movable seat, the face of the partition including the opening forming a backrest for a passenger sitting on the seat.
[0016] Advantageously, the retractable seat is provided with a handle allowing the retractable seat to be moved between the deployed and retracted positions.
[0017] The invention will be better understood upon reading the following detailed description, given solely by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
[0018] [Fig-1] [Fig. 1] represents a perspective view plate of a first embodiment of an assembly according to the invention, showing a seat in the deployed position;
[0019] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] represents a perspective view of the seat of [Fig.1] in the retracted position;
[0020] [Fig.3] [Fig.3] represents a plate of views of a second embodiment of an assembly according to the invention.
[0021] In these figures, the same references are used to designate the same elements.
[0022] A partition la, 1b of loading stop according to the invention, illustrated in the figures is designed to equip a utility vehicle according to the invention, not shown in the figures.
[0023] The partition la, 1b extends between a first face 2a, 2b, visible in [Fig. 1] and designed to delimit a cargo compartment 3 of the utility vehicle, and a second face 4a, 4b, designed to delimit a driver's compartment 5 of the utility vehicle. Advantageously, the partition la, 1b according to the invention hermetically seals the compartment 3 from the passenger compartment 5. The partition la, 1b is, for example, formed of one or more stamped sheets, optionally assembled together.
[0024] As illustrated in Figures 1 and 3, the partition la, 1b forms a storage compartment 6a, 6b designed to accommodate at least part of a retractable seat 7a, 7b. In the embodiments illustrated in the figures, the retractable seat 7a, 7b is formed of a seat 8a, 8b movablely mounted on the partition la, 1b.
[0025] The housing 6a, 6b having an opening 9a, 9b provided in one 4a, 4b of the first 2a, 2b and second 4a, 4b faces to allow the introduction and removal of the retractable seat 7a, 7b attached to the partition la, 1b. In the partition la, 1b according to the invention, at least a part of the storage housing 6a, 6b protrudes from the other face 2a, 2b.
[0026] The partition la, 1b is intended to form with the retractable seat 7a, 7b an assembly 10a, 10b. In the assembly 10a, 10b, the retractable seat 7a, 7b is movably mounted on the partition la, 1b between a deployed position, illustrated respectively in [Fig. 1] and the left view of [Fig. 3], in which the retractable seat 7a, 7b allows a vehicle passenger to sit on the retractable seat 7a, 7b, and a retracted position (illustrated respectively in [Fig. 2] and the right view of [Fig. 3]), in which the retractable seat 7a, 7b is at least partially stored in the storage compartment 6a, 6b. Advantageously, when the retractable seat 7a, 7b is in its retracted position, the seat 8a, 8b protrudes from the compartment 6a, 6b through the opening 9a, 9b with a dimension as small as possible to allow a vehicle user to pass in front of the second face 4a, 4b of the partition 1a, 1b. Thus, in the retracted position, it is conceivable that the retractable seat 7a, 7b is stored entirely in its housing 6a, 6b. As an example, in its retracted position, the retractable seat 7a, 7b has at least 50% of its volume stored in its housing 6a, 6b, preferably at least 80% of its volume..
[0027] In the embodiments illustrated in Figures 1 and 3, the opening 9a, 9b is provided in the second face 4a, 4b of the partition 1a, 1b. Thus, the retractable seat 7a, 7b is accessible from the passenger compartment 5 for a passenger of the utility vehicle according to the invention. Advantageously, the face comprising the opening 9a, 9b, in this case the second face 4a, 4b, forms a backrest for a passenger seated on the seat 8a, 8b.
[0028] In the embodiments illustrated in the figures, the retractable seat 7a, 7b is provided with a handle 11 allowing the retractable seat 7a, 7b to be moved between the deployed and retracted positions. The handle 11 is advantageously made using a strip of textile or leather extending from the retractable seat 7a, 7b. When, in its retracted position, the retractable seat 7a, 7b is fully stored in its housing 6a, 6b, the handle 11 advantageously extends from the housing 6a, 6b through the opening 9a, 9b.
[0029] As illustrated in [Fig.1], in a first embodiment of the partition la, the housing 6a forms a box 12 shaped to allow the storage of cargo on the box 12. For this purpose, the box 12 has at least one substantially flat surface 13 arranged on the top of the box 12 when the partition la is fitted to the utility vehicle.
[0030] In the first embodiment of the partition, housing 6a is configured to allow the retractable seat 7a to move within housing 6a between the deployed and retracted positions. Thus, housing 6a and opening 9a allow the seat 8a to move like a drawer sliding within its housing 6a. To this end, the retractable seat 7a is fixed to slides 14 that fit within housing 6a to allow the retractable seat 7a to move in and out of housing 6a.
[0031] In the example illustrated in [Fig. 1], the housing 12 has dimensions greater than the housing 6a strictly necessary to accommodate the retractable seat 7a. Such a box 12 makes it possible to reinforce the resistance of the partition la to the impacts of the load against the first face 2a of the partition la, in the event of a shock suffered by the vehicle according to the invention.
[0032] In a second embodiment, illustrated in [Fig. 3], the housing 6b is shaped to allow the retractable seat 7b to rotate around an axis 15, illustrated in [Fig. 3], which is fixed to the partition 1b between the deployed and retracted positions. The axis 15 is, in this case, substantially horizontal.
[0033] Thus, the loading stop partition 1a, 1b allows for the formation of an assembly 10a, 10b, equipped with a retractable seat 7a, 7b whose footprint is minimized. Indeed, in its retracted position, the retractable seat 7a, 7b, at least partially stored in its housing 6a, 6b, results in no or minimal obstruction. Furthermore, the retractable seat 7a, 7b of the assembly 10a, 10b does not encroach on the floor of the commercial vehicle according to the invention. Moreover, experience and simulations show that the housing 6a, 6b, projecting from the other face, in this case the first face 2a, 2b, reinforces the rigidity of the partition 1a, 1b and of the vehicle.
[0034] The invention is not limited to the embodiment of the loading stop partition described above, only by way of example, but other embodiments can be designed by a person skilled in the art without departing from the scope and extent of the present invention.
