Abstract

The invention relates to an antibiotic susceptibility testing apparatus (1), "AST", in which, before the testing apparatus is activated to perform a test, a growth detection light source (4) is actuated to illuminate culture elements (3), and a light inspection module (41) receives a growth message derived from the original sample number to determine if the culture is complete. Next, the sample is diluted and introduced into the reaction receptacles of a reagent disc (2), the assembly of which is placed in an inspection chamber compartment (11). After reaction, inspection light sources (51, 52) of different wavelengths are applied sequentially to illuminate the same reaction receptacle.
