AI Technical Summary
Existing pneumatic suspension systems in vehicles lack effective decoupling mechanisms to isolate the control arm from the pneumatic spring, leading to unwanted cardanic and acoustic coupling, which can affect vehicle stability and comfort.
An apparatus featuring a pneumatic spring with a rolling bellows without a Cardan fold, a control arm, and a resilient decoupling element, such as a rubber thrust bearing, that creates an air-tight space between the spring and the control arm, providing cardanic and acoustic decoupling while generating a supplemental spring rate.
The solution effectively decouples the control arm from the pneumatic spring, enhancing vehicle stability and comfort by reducing unwanted vibrations and noise, while allowing for length adjustment to compensate for spring expansion.

Abstract
Description
Apparatus for decoupling in a pneumatic suspension of a vehicle, method for manufacturing the apparatus The invention relates to an apparatus for decoupling in a pneumatic suspension of a vehicle and a method for manufacturing the apparatus. DE 102004033199 A1 discloses a pneumatic spring for a motor vehicle with an elastomeric rolling bellows, which connects a first part and a second part of the spring in an air-tight manner. The second part of the spring is air-tightly connected to a bearing part by means of a conical, elastomeric spring bearing, so that the second part can move to the bearing part with a Cardan suspension. An apparatus for decoupling in a pneumatic suspension for a vehicle comprises a pneumatic spring having a rolling bellows without a Cardan fold, a control arm, and a resilient decoupling element, wherein the decoupling element is arranged between the control arm and the pneumatic spring, wherein the decoupling element supports the pneumatic spring, wherein a space is formed between the pneumatic spring and the control arm that is air-tightly closed due to the decoupling element. As a result, the control arm is in particular cardanically or acoustically decoupled from the pneumatic spring. The decoupling element generates a supplemental spring rate. The cardan fold may be an expansion fold. The cardan fold may be a fold arrangement configured to allow length adjustment of the rolling bellows, for example to compensate for expansion of the pneumatic spring. The rolling bellows may therefore be without an expansion fold. The rolling bellows may be without a fold configured to allow adjustment of the length of the rolling bellows to compensate for expansion of the pneumatic spring. The decoupling element preferably comprises a rubber thrust bearing. The pneumatic spring preferably comprises an outer guide that guides the rolling bellows over an entire spring path of the pneumatic spring. The decoupling element preferably has one or more stop nubs on its side facing away from the pneumatic spring. Preferably, the decoupling element extends in a conically tapering manner from the pneumatic spring towards the control arm. The decoupling element and the control arm preferably have shapes that correspond to one another, wherein the control arm is configured so as to at least partially receive the decoupling element. The decoupling element is preferably attached to the control arm. One method for manufacturing a pneumatic suspension for a vehicle provides that a resilient decoupling element is arranged between a pneumatic spring with the rolling bellows without a cardan fold, and a control arm, wherein the control arm supports the pneumatic spring such that a space is formed between the pneumatic spring and the control arm that is air-tightly closed due to the decoupling element. Preferably, the method provides for a hardness of the decoupling element to be selected in order to generate a specified supplemental spring rate. Further advantageous embodiments can be found in the following description and drawing. In the drawing, the figures show: Fig. 1 a schematic representation of the apparatus. The decoupling apparatus for decoupling in a pneumatic suspension for a vehicle shown schematically in Fig. 1 comprises a pneumatic spring 101. The pneumatic spring 101 comprises an outer guide 102. The apparatus comprises a rolling bellows 103 without a cardan fold. The rolling bellows 103 is arranged on the pneumatic spring 101 and is guided by the outer guide 102. In the example, the rolling bellows 103 is guided across an entire spring path of the pneumatic spring 101 on the outer guide 102. The apparatus comprises a resilient decoupling element 104, for example, a rubber thrust bearing. The decoupling element 104 comprises at least one stop nub 106. The apparatus comprises a control arm 107. The decoupling element 104 is arranged between the control arm 107 and the pneumatic spring 101. The decoupling element 104 supports the pneumatic spring 101. A space is formed between the pneumatic spring 101 and the control arm 107, which is air-tightly closed due to the decoupling element 104. It has a defined volume. As a result, the control arm 107 is in particular cardanically or acoustically decoupled from the pneumatic spring 101. The decoupling element 104 generates a supplemental spring rate. In the example, the decoupling element 104 comprises the one or more stop nubs 106 on its side facing away from the pneumatic spring 101. The decoupling element 104 and the control arm 107 have shapes that correspond to one another. The control arm 107 is configured so as to at least partially receive the decoupling element 104. In the example, the decoupling element 104 extends in a conically tapering manner from the pneumatic spring 101 towards the control arm 107. Other shapes are also possible. In the example, the decoupling element 104 is attached to the control arm 107. One method for manufacturing a pneumatic suspension for a vehicle provides that the resilient decoupling element 104 is arranged between the pneumatic spring 101, with the rolling bellows 103 without a cardan fold, and the control arm 107 such that the decoupling element 104 supports the pneumatic spring 101 and a space is formed between the pneumatic spring 101 and the control arm 107 that is air-tightly closed due to the decoupling element 104. For example, a hardness of the decoupling element 104 is selected such that the decoupling element 104 generates a specified supplemental spring rate.
